Sales Order Control

Dear All,
How can we control the Consignment Fillup Order in sauch a way that if the order quatity is not available in the plant the order should not be delivered and quantity corrected at order level
With Regards
Mohammed

Dear Kapil
if the material is partially available the system is issuing a warning based on the stock but it is allowing the delivery to be created for the partial quantity
what we need is that if there is a shortage of quantity then the system should not let the delivery to be created.
only complete deliveries should be allowed

  • The financial document and sales order control is missing at delivery order

The financial document is assigned at sales order line. The system is not restricting to deliver the goods of cost less than or equal to value of financial document.
Suppose a financial document with a value of 10000USD is assigned to a sales order of value 20000.In this case system is letting me to make the delivery order and PGI of cost 20000.I want the system to restrict to deliver the items of cost 10000USD.
Note=In xd01 i have mentioned the payment guarantee procedure=Letter of credit but not the credit control area.

    Hi,
1st check your FD to determine whether or not there is an allowed overdraft. If there isnt one than check IMG Tx VX52, Finnancial Document Conditions, check value:
"Even if you do not set this switch - that is, there is no value check in the SD document -, the system subtracts the consumed values from the total value of the financial document.
In this case, the subtracted value may exceed the total value of the financial document because the check, but not the update, is deactivated."

  • Belated costs during a make-to-order/sales order controlling process

    Hello Experts,
We implemented a make-to-order process where we collect actual costs of a repackaging process. The cost object of that process order is the sales order item (VBP, Vertriebsbelegposition). So far that cost collection works absolutely fine and the actual costs are collected in the conditions of the sales order item.
Unfortunately it can be the case that after billing the sales order item, operations debits the process order with an activity (e.g. quality analysis). After using transaction KO88 the balance of the process order is posted to the sales order item even if it has been already billed. But when I open the sales order with TA VA02 the conditions of these sales order item are already grey and not editable anymore. And therefore it is not possible to actualize the price and the extra costs of the belated positing of operations.
Do you know any possibilty to creat a second bill of the same sales order item to collect the additional costs?
    BR

    Hi,
Finance person would need to create a JV to knock off those costs. The same wont be possible through SD route again.

  • Sales order control - reg

    Hi,
In VA01, we should allow user to enter and change the quantity and material but once the order is saved the order quantity should be greyed out as well as user should not be allowed to add or delete any line items in the sales order thro' VA02 but system should allow users to change the text, manual pricing maintenance should be allowed.
    Awaiting your useful inputs.

    Hi Balaji
You need to go with the User Exit only as Mr. Lakshmipathi suggested. In the user exit(MV45AFZZ - USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT) only you need to give the requirement telling that error message should come so the technical consultant will include a program in the user exit telling that error will come

  • How to Make Settlement Rule Mandatory in Sales Order(In Acct Assigt Tab)

    Hi Gurus,
I have a business requirement. For Free of charge 3rd party orders (yes they have FOC orders delivered by third party) the business wants to ensure that the Settlement rule should be mandatory. They enter cost center & receiver in the settlement rule.
i.e the order should not save till Settlement rule is maintained in the line item in the Acct Assignment tab.
Please let me know how this can be done.
1: Applied my brains on incompletion procedure but does not seems like it can be done there.
2: Is there something in CO where some setting can make it mandatory to enter settlement rule in Sales order?
3: I s there any other way in user-exits or ABAP?
4: Is there any setting in Item category(I could not locate any)?
5: Can this be done via Requirement class.
Please assist to resolve this one.

    Dear,
It depends on settings in Requirement Class (OVZG) and Account Assignment Catg (AAC) in OME9
If your AAC is E in Req Class, then your sales order is a CO object.
Requirement Class in IMG can be checked - IMG > Controling > Prod Cost Planning > Cost Obj Controling > Prod Cost By Sales Order > Control of Requirement.
Or any filed any you can Make mandatory through Transaction variant SHD0.

  • Sales order - show total plan costs (from production order) on sales order

    Hi all,
    I have the following question/scenario:
We create prodction order to collect cost (hours) for a service. There exists also a material master for this service.
The confirmed hours are posted on the production order and then setteld to the respective sales order (settlement rule SDI).
What to I have to maintain/customize to show the total plan cost (for the service) on gthe sales order?
If I check the sales order via VA03 --> environment --> cost report , I can see the planned sales revenue but no planned costs?
(the actual value flows work so far, postings via settlement or billing document).
I hope the topic is understandable. Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi
Planned costs from prod order can not show on sale order.. Both are 2 separate entities in their own respects
Unless you calculate sales order cost estimate on your sales order, you cant see planned costs on sale order...
To calculate sale order cost estimate, make settings in your requirement class...
    1. Go to procurement tab of sale order
    2. See whats the requirement type
    3. Go to IMG > Controlling > Prod cost Contr > Cost Obj Contr > Prod Cost by Sales Order > Control of Requirements
    4. Here you can see mapping of req type to req class....
    5. If you want to have sales order costing and have sales order as CO object inorder to have sales order wise profitability, you should have following settings in Req class...
    >Acct Assignment Category should be E
    >Costing: Either Blank or X
    >Costing Id and Costing Method: As per your requirement

  • Sales Order/Item as Account Assignment in Accounting Doc.

I have a scenario where we are selling some services. Process is to create sales order --> Create billing document in reference to sales order & then release it to accounting. I am using materials of type DIEN( service) for the purpose and have customized the sales order / item category. Process is working fine till creation of accounting document but the accounting document is missing sales order/item in it [as account assignment]. I am not sure what config I am missing.
Attached file shows where I am expecting the sales order / item to be seen.
    Please provide hints on this.
    Thanks in advance.
    Sonal

    Hi Sonal
If you want the billing doc to post in the sales order as cost object, then your GL has to be cost element and the account assignment category in Sales order must be E
Check the Requiremebt Type in the Procurement tab of sales order.
This RT is assigned to a Requirement Class and the RC is mapped to Acct Assgn Catg.
Spro - Cost object controlling - prod cost by sales order - control of sales order related.....
In this node you can see which RC is assigned to RT

  • Product cost by sales order with Valuated Sales order stock

    Hi Gurus,
I am working on Poduct cost by Sales Order with Valuated stock. but i have doubt ragarding to Cost estimation.
1.In sales order scenario also Standard Cost estiamtion (CK11n and CK24) and Marking, Releasing is Mandatory? if not how can we estimate the cost?
    2. If we are estimating the cost by using Standard Cost estimate, when can we estimate the cost?
can anybody please give me the steps which we are following in Poduct cost by Sales Order with Valuated stock from starting to end Settlement
    Thanks&Regards
    Prasad

    Hi,
there are 3 types of scenarios in MTO.
In Two scenarios Sale Order would be cost object - (Non-Valuated Sale orders stock and Valuated Sale Order stock with Sale order being Cost Object)
In third scenario (Valuated Sale Order Stock without Sale Order controlling), Only Production Order is the Cost Object.
In all the cases wherever the Sale Order is the cost object, Sale Order is the final Receiver.  Only the difference is that in valuated sale order stock, stock entries would be passed to FI and in non-valuated sale order, no goods movement for FG will be there.

  • Product Costs by Sales Order - Settlement Options?

    Hello All -
I am trying to understand if I need to settle to a sales order (SDI) or directly to material (MAT) or to COPA (PSG).
If i look at my sales order, it has item category ZPSF, which product costs by sales order configuration shows a requirement class ZKE.  ZkE has a valuation of M, which means separate valuation of reference to sales document/project.
Does this mean I need to settle to sales order first?
Then i run vA88 to settle sales order to copa?
if ZKE valuation is blank, does that mean its not valuated?  I have read on other sap help pages that means it is valuated.  Please clarify.
also, when does one directly settle to MAT? what scenarios?  this confuses me.
    Thanks!
    Emmas

I'll give this a try. When working in a make-to-order environment there are 2 settings in the requirments class that you must consider in determining how to settle the costs (and maybe the revenue as well).  The first setting is the account assignment category.  In the standard system "E" is used to designate the sales order as a cost collector.  "M" is used to if you don't want the sales order to be a cost collector.  Whether the sales order is a cost collector or not will determine your settlement options.
The second critical field is the valuation setting.  If you set it to "M" then the stock assigned to the sales order will be valuated (by valuated I mean that once the goods are produced they will be held in inventory as sales order stock with a value).  If you leave the valuation field blank then the stock assigned to the sales order will be held in inventory without a valuation.
If the sales order is not a cost collector then the cost to manufacture the order will be collected in your production order and the settlement rule for the production order will be to the material you are producing.  Since the material has a valuation, the costs collected in the production will be reduced by the material's valuation once it is received into finished goods inventory.  Any remaining costs are settled to wip or variance based on the production order's status and the RA key and variance key settings.
If you have set the sales order as a cost collector then the production order costs can either settle to the finished material or to the sales order.  If you are using valuated sales order stock you would normal have the costs settle to the material and the production order would behave very much like the previous example.  If you are not using valuated stock then you would need to settle the costs to the sales order and all the production costs would accumalte in the sales order.
If you are using the sales order as a cost collector than you will probably want to settle the sales order as well.  During the sales order settlement you have the option of settling the cost and revenue assigned to the sales order to COPA.  The settlement profile along with the RA key assigned to the sales order controls how these are settled.

  • Different Method to valuate sales order stock

    Dear expert,
I came across a problem and I need your help:
Scenario: Make-To-Order production without sales order controlling.  Uses standard price in material master record.
As we know, There are a predefined sequence to valuate sales order stock: First, The system uses the standard price on the basis of your customer exit COPCP002 Material valuation for valuated sales order stock. If not defined COPCP002, Then, the system uses sales order costing.  Then, the system determines the standard price using the production order cost estimate. At the end,  the system determines that If you manufacture a material both for the make-to-stock-inventory and for the valuated sales order stock, the system reads the material master record of the collective requirements material.
In SAP online Help, there is a note that: If you calculate the standard price of sales order stock in a preliminary cost estimate for the manufacturing order or use the price in the material master record, you cannot transfer cost component splits into COPA. This is my doubt: I don't know exactly where are the differences between sales orde costing and standard price in material mater to determine sales order stock.
So, I have a question:  What are the extract diffences between using sale order cost estimate and the standard price in the material master record to determine valuated sales order stock?
Thanks for your help.  Best regards,

What you said is exactly what I want! Very thankful for your help.
Yes, I have found that in EBEW table that standard price is valuated with preliminary cost estimate because I don't give a sales order cost estimate but I give an sales order stock in the customizing - requirement class. So, I have this question that how the sales order stock is determined.
In COPA customizing (COprofitability analysismaster datavaluationSet up valuation using material cost estimate), standard cost estimate or sales order cost estimate can be transferred into COPA value fields in our system.
But, I have still have a question: I found in our system, preliminary cost estimate in the linked production order is determined for valuation of sales order stock in EBEW table. As sap online help says, cost component splits can not be transferred to COPA.
So, according to SAP online help, I think what you said u201Cu2026..However , when we start thinking about the result of this cost to flow into COPA , this cannot happen as the Inventory was valued with a Preliminary csot estimate. So , the Online help says that it will not be able to transfer Result of Preliminary cost estimate into COPA for transferrring COGS details. System would always require a Standard cost estimate or a Sales order Cost estimate to flow Cost details into COPAu201D is correct.
But, in our system, cost component can be transferred into COPA!? When I create a sales billing (invoice) with tcode VF01, it can create a profitability analysis document (shown in VF03) which it had a cost component split for that material in the sales order stock valuated with the preliminary cost estimate. Or where is stored for the Make-to-Order materialu2019s cost component split in COPA?
That is the real point that confused me. Hope you can help me. Thanks very much.

  • Sales Order Valuated Stock Vs. Non Valuated Stock

    Hi Gurus,
What is difference between Sales Order valuated stock and Non Valuated stock. What are the period end processes in each scenario?
Please give me ur valuable inputs.
    Thanks in advance,
    Ganesh

    Hi
The definitions are huge.  Sales order related costing and its components are quite complex and configuration involves defining parameters for Req Class, Req Types, also depends on whether sales order item has indv and collective requirements etc
To answer your query In short it is as follows
Valuated sales order stock -  this has both the situations of controlling of sales order with and without.  Which means u may or may not create a cost estimate for the sales order item
In case of Non Valuated sales order stock - is always with controlling by sales order
The usage of product cost by sales order depends on business situations and other criteria
the main period end closing steps would be as follows
Valuated sales order stocks has all the period end closing steps as u use in make to stock situation, whereas non valuated sales order stock does not support following period closing steps with the exception of RA which can be performed
    1)  No variances can be determined
    2)  Actual costs of production orders are settled to sales orde
    3)  No preliminary costing can be done on the production order
    4)  No details of costs can be posted to non valuated sales order.  Only one cost which is the total actual costs posted to sales order item.
    5)  There are no planned costs for the sales order item and hence sale price is not determined based on expected standard costs etc.
    6)  You cannot do profit planning here with changes to sales price based on actual costs of production order
    Please note
Settlement receiver in non valuated sales order stocks is the sales item and the settlment type is FUL
    Recommendation
SAP recommends to follow sales order controlling depending on the business scenarios becoz of above limitations of non valuated sales order stock
Hope the above clarifies - Pls assign points as a way to say thanks
