Sales order type - mandatory setting

Hi,
In  reference mandatory setting in the sales document type, I want to assign delivery type.
How to achieve this?
Thanks

In standard SAP, there is no provision to assign delivery type as mandatory in the sales document type. You can refer Inquiry, Quotation, Sales, Billing documents as mandatory.
By the way check whether you have copying control for delivery to sales document i.e. LF to OR.
Did you find one? That's the reason why you cannot make delivery document as mandatory in sales document type.

  • How to fill conversion table TAUUM in BW for conversion of Sales Order Type

When importing sales order data from SAP ECC to SAP BI, conversion routine AUART can be used to convert Sales order Type from its internal representation to an external representation.  (For example, the standard sales order has an internal Sales Document Type code TA, and an external code OR).
The standards SAP conversion routine AUART uses table TAUUM as a lookup table.  This table has lots of data in SAP ECC, but it is empty in SAP BW.
How can we copy data from table TAUUM in ECC to  table TAUUM in BW?
Do we have to create a maintenance view on the table, and type in the entries? Or is there a more automated way?

    Hi Jay,
Make sure the extract structure is active. You can check the same from LBWE > 11: SD Sales BW> MC11VA0STI is active.
If the extract structure is active. Inorder to fill the setup table. First delete the setup table for the application area 11 from SBIW transaction. Then fill the set-up table for the application area 11 as you did for deliveries.
Then check whether data source is pulling data.
Let me know if there is an issue even after following the above steps.

    2)  Sales and Distribution->Sales->sales Document Header->Assign Sales Area To Sales Document Types.
    3) Sales and Distribution->Sales->Sales Document Item->Define Items Categories
    4) Sales and Distribution->Sales->Sales Document Item->Assign Item categories
    5) Sales and Distribution->SalesàSchedule Lines->Assign Schedule lines Categories.
Also created a new number range for the same.
After this when i am trying to create a sales order with VA01 i get an error "Enter a Sales Area".
what am i missing ?Please suggest.
    Thanks in advance,

    Hello,
In the Initial screen of VA01 you have to enter the sale area which is nothing but the combination of
    Sales organization
    Distribtion channgel
    Division
And in the transaction code  OVAZ you should assign the sales document type for this sales area .
Please revert if you need any frther clarification

  • Create different billing document types from same sales order type

    Hello,
Please take a common document flow, just  like this one:
    - Sales Order (type ZE01 )
    - Outbound Delivery
    - Billing Document ( ZA or ZB )
The billing document is based on the outbound delivery. Here is the requirement that we need to implement:
    - We need to determine different billing document types ( ZA or ZB ) according to a custom determination, based on a Z table. In some cases the billing document will be type ZA, in other cases it will be type ZB. I've been told that I can achieve this  via copy control , but some extra help would be welcome.
    Any clues?
    Regards,
    Joã

    Hi João G Neves ,
Were you able to achieve this requirement using a  user exit? if so could you let me know the name of the user exit? Basically in our current project a sales order can be billied using 6 different billing document types. The copy controls between the sales  document and billing document is been set up for all the 6different billing doc types and currently the users are manually selecting the billing document type in VF01 .The buisness insists on making this automated. They want the billing document type to be determined based on some custom condtions.
Any inputs regarding this is highly appreciated.

  • New Sales Order Type

    Hello,
I would like to ask either it is neccessary to have a new division for new sales order type.
    Thanks for your time.
Your fruitful answer will help me to move one step forward
    Sherry.

    Hi,
If you created new division then you have to maintain sales area
IMG >> enterprise structure >> assignment >> SD >> assign division to sales organization and set up sales area
How is it possible for the Y109 to be assigned to the new division. How to make it default
Y109 is not assigned to division rather it can be assigned to sales area
IMG >> sd >> sales >> sales documents >> sales document header >> assign sales area to sales document type >> Assign sales order types permitted for sales areas

  • Default Sales Order type settings

Where do I set the default Sales Order type for transaction VA01. trying to avoid employees choosing the wrong order type.
    Thank you.

You can setup user parameter for parameter AAT
Use transaction SU3 for every user
    Goto tab Parameters
    Add a line
        Parameter_ID: AAT
        Parameter value:  Your order type
    Save user profile
Please note that this solution will not prevent user to change the value of field order type during VA01. However he will always get this as default value. You should do this for every user you need to have default value.
    Best regards

  • Sales Order Confirmed qty set to zero even without credit check at SO level

    Hi
Credit management is implemented and dynamic credit limit check has been assigned only for delivery doc types for blockig PGI.
There is no credit limit check assigned to sales order types as per the customers requirement.
However, we came across a scenario where, the confirmed quanties in a sales order were set to zero even though stock was available for the materials and no credit block at SO level.
The issue was however resolved by going into change mode of sales order>edit> check availability. The schedule lines for all the materials were confirmed.
Unable to figure out why the schedule lines were not confirmed even though stock available.
Checked the routiine 101 in OVB8 but it only applies if credit limit check active at sales order level.
Also checked 'conf.block' for 01-credit limit check in OVZ7 but even this applies if credit limit active at sales order level.
Note: This happened only once. The same scenario was tested in Quality system and there the schedule lines were confirmed even when the customer exceeded the credit limit.
Please let me know if I hav overlooked anything that needs to be checked.
What could be the reson for the items not being confirmed when the order was created?

    Hi Vinayak
    Thanks for your response.
As you said it migt be bcos of the conf block at OVZ7, but the F1 help for that says that it applies when there is a credit limit check related delivery block in the sales order.
However, in my case, there is no credit check assigned at sales order level.
And also when I tried to recreate the scenario by creating an order for a customer who had exceeded the credit limit, it didnt delete the confirmed qty from the schd lines even after saving.
ANy possible reasons other than credit check conf block that could have led to schd lines not being confirmed inspite of sufficient stock??

  • 2 Sales order types to post to 2 value fields

    Hi,
Previously, 2 sales order types ZSA4-samples med. & ZSA5-samples adv. posts to one value field which is VV310 Local mktg mgt.  Business users now requires these sales order types to post to 2 new separate value fields.
So,  in Controlling I assigned condition types Z231 VAT Expense & Z232 VAT Exp/Sample FOC to value fields VV230 & VV201 respectively.
The SD consultant then changed the ZTHV07 pricing procedure to include these 2 condition types by creating 2 new steps and assigning them to  routines 914 & 915.  I am not sure if I should change these routines.
ZSA5 sales order type is posting correctly to value field VV201 but ZSA4 is also posting to VV201.  It should post to VV230.
Thanks to advise if there's any setting whether in SD or CO I should change.
    P.S.
The following are the other configurations inside the system:
ZSA4 & ZSA5 sales order types are assigned to D (Sample) document pricing procedure.
Pricing procedure ZTHV07 is assigned to document pricing procedure D.
    Thanks and regards,
    Thess

Let us understand more on your requirement.
For doc.type ZSA4, you want to have only condition type Z231.  And for doc type ZSA5, you want to have only condition type Z232.  Therefore, each document type will post to COPA to correct value field.
Well, then if that's the case, I would say your requirement number 914, 915 doesn't work (it's definitely on SD side).  They are developed based on your requirements so I cannot comment since it is not standard routine.

  • Disable Availability Check Based on Sales Order Type

    Hi All SD experts,
Usually ( correct me if i'm wrong ) availability check is set via schedule lines item type. Is there any way that I can disable the availability check based solely on Sales Order Type ? Meaning no matter what item category or schedule lines assigned to materials, availability check will still be disable.
Besides setting in schedule lines type, what are others config that might trigger availability check ? MRP settings ? Movement type ?
Any valuable feedback will be great and much appreciated. A big thank you in advance.
    Warmest Regards,
    Edie

    HI EDIE
In order for the availability check to happen, the following configuration settings are required.
    Availability check:
         a) you have to define requirement class & requirement type.
         b) you have to activate at scheduline category level
         c) in deleviry item.cat ,there is availability check off field,,,,, if  u dont mention any values here, then system checks for availability.if u mention 'x' here, then system dont check for availability.
        d) you define checking group and checking rule ,these determine how availability check is going to be performed
    MRP:
MRP determines how material is planned, whether it is inhouse production or external procurement.MRP also determines the time taken for the material to become available for ready use. When ever an order is rised, the requirement is passed to MRP through  transfer of requirements(TOR), here MRP determines the inhouse production time or external procurement time.
Movement Type: Movement type determines the type of material movement ,whether it is Goods Issue ,,, or ,, Goods Recipt,,,,, stock transfer between two plants etc.Movement type is determined in schedule line category level.

  • Credit Management for different Sales Order Types

    Hello All,
The problem is related to Credit Management for Sales Order which is explained below with an example -
We have separate Sales Order Types for New Launches (ZNLS) & Normal Depot Sales (ZDPS) but both the Order Types are assigned with same pricing procedure and respective orders will be raised against the same party code. Now automatic credit check is only active for order type ZDPS where the credit limit had been set to Rs.1000. Now Rs,.500 had already been raised using order type ZDPS, then another sales order of Rs. 500 is raised using order type ZNLS.But when a sale order of Rs. 550 is raised using order type ZDPS the sales order is getting blocked, because the system had taken into consideration & added up the Rs. 500 value of ZNLS with previous value of Rs. 500 against order type ZDPS as a result of automatic credit check though it is not active for order type ZNLS.Point to be noted that Credit exposure is  also not active for Order Type ZNLS.
How is this taken into consideration & what are the steps need to be configured so that the credit limit check will not get automatically activated for order type ZNLS  and  only remain active for order type ZDPS  despite they are assigned to same pricing procedure and used for invoicing same party code?
    Please suggest.
    Thanks & Regards
    Priyanka Mitra

    Hi Mitra,
The issue occurs because of the fact that credit check and the
update of the credit values are separate processes which are also
controlled separately by the respective customizing:
    1. credit check is controlled by transactions OVAK and OVA8.
According to the attachment, you have already refered to note 18613 to
    check the customizing settings.
    2. update of the credit values is controlled by VOV7 or OVA7: "credit
acttive" flag. The 'Credit active' setting only affects the credit
update of the SD credit values (open orders, open delivery and open
billing documents). This flag has no control on the credit check. So
if for an order type, there is no credit check in OVAK and OVA8 but
the "credit active" flag is set for the item category, the order will
update the credit values even if no credit check is performed for the
    order.
If the flag "credit active" is not set, the system will not update the
open credit values. On the other hand, the system ALWAYS updates the FI
credit value 'Open receivable' when the billing document is transferred
to Accounting. So, although you deactivated the "Credit active" flag in
in OVA7 or VOV7, such an item will increase the 'Open receivables' and
thus the credit limit used when the corresponding billing document is
    posted to Accounting.
If you would like the value from sales order type  ZNLS is excluded from credit update, you could consider set the "Credit Active" field as blank in VOV7 for the item category used for ZNLS.
    Best regards,
    Smile

  • How to 'fix' an special procument key according to sales order type ?

    Hi Gurus,
I need some help to solve an issue: how to "force" MRP to use a special procurement key (SOBLS) when the demand was originated by sales order type = "XYZ".
    Limits:
    - this is a MTO scenario, so MRP area is not an option (as far as I know)
    - due to the huge quantity of materials we cannot consider create new materials.
    Scenario:
    1. 'Plant A' and 'Plant B' can produce material 'AAAA'
    2. Only 'Plant A' is allowed to invoice.
    3. Material 'AAAA' produced in 'Plant A' cannot be sold, they will be used as components to other materials.
    4. Any external demand (sales) of material 'AAAA' must be handle by 'Plant B'.
In other words: If a sales document (order type 'XYZ') ordering 10 units of material 'AAAA' is posted, my MRP (on plant 'A') must undestand that a purchase requisition (stock transfer, special procurement key 'Z1') needs to be created. All other demands will create Planned Orders (to be converted to Production Orders).
    I already tried to evaluate BADIS: MD_CHANGE_MRP_DATA, MD_ADD_ELEMENTS, MD_MODIFY_SOURCE, MD_PLDORD_CHANGE and MD_MRP_PARAMETERS ... with little success.
    Any clue will be appreciated.
    Regards,
    Jone.

    - "material AAAA" is a spare part and, also, an item BOM of "FG 1010"
    Lets imagine that:
    - "material AAAA" has MARC-BESKZ = 'E', MARC-SOBSL = '' and MARC-SBDKZ = '1' in both Plants,
    - no stock is avaliable,
    - there is a MTO Production Order of 'FG 1010' is demmanding 3 units of "material AAAA",
    - there is a sales order (spare parts) is requesting 7 units of "material AAAA".
After a full MRP running (with RM61X-BANER=3), we would like to have:
    Plant A:
Sales order segment 1 (MTO from 'FG 1010'):
    - Planned order of 3 units
Sales order segment 2 (Spare parts sales Order):
    - Purchase Requisition of 7 units.
    Plant B:
Sales order segment 2 (Spare parts sales Order):
    - Purchase Requisition of -7 units.
    - Planned order of 7 units.
Sales org does the invoicing not the plant and you can set the delivering plant as plant B directly in the material master. But that's not feasible. Right now I would suggest you try creating (if they don't already exist) two special procurement keys first 40 and assign it in material master for plant A. Then other 52 assign it in item detail for the component in the BOM for the FG since it is MTO. For plant B not SPK is required from what you mentioned.

  • Exclude sales orders based on sales order type from CTM planning run

    Dear people,
We have sales orders in R/3 with custom sales order types, like ZE01, ZE02 etc.
These sales orders are CIFed to APO and all sales orders have ATP category BM. We use CTM and we want to exclude sales order with sales order type ZE01, is this possible?
Which enhancement could be used to exclude sales orders with selection on sales order type?
    Edited by: Peter237 on Jan 19, 2012 12:35 PM

    Dear,
Check the requirement type of your sales order line item in VA02 procurement tab it should be Reqmt type of customer reqmt   KSL
Also check the strategy assign in material master and MRP group OPPR and then check the setting of strategy 10 in OPPS there should be
    Customer Requirement planning
Reqmt type of customer reqmt   KSL  Sale frm stck w/o ind.req.red.
Requirements class  030  Sale from stock
Allocation indicat.     No consumption with customer requirements
No MRP   :-               1 Requirement not planned, but display.
    Please try and come back.
