Sales Organization Analysis

Hi all,
I run MCTE Sales Organization Analysis report, it's alway show No data exits for chosen selection, Althought, i chose suitable Sales Org and Period. I'm sure that it has data.
Pls help me.
Thanks,

Dear Quang
It seems the said field is missing at your end and hence the issue.
Go to OBD2, select the account group, double click on Sales data.  Again double click on "Sales"  and place your mouse on "Req.Entry"  and save.
Now go to customer master and see whether that field is flowing.
thanks

Have a look at the following note:-
Note 1573200 - How to restructure the statistic data of the sales information system (SIS)
But before trying to carry out the process as detailed in the above note, first check with other SIS reports like MCTA etc., and no reports are showing correctly, then you can proceed.  Otherwise, you need to raise an OSS message with SAP.

  • Structure of Sales Organization?

    Structure of Sales Organization?
    What is Tolerance Group?
What is the format of Business Blue Print?
When do we require the functional Specifications?

    Hi Farhan,
The Structure of Sales Org, differs from client to client. Its purely client specific.
But normally the structure containes, Sales Org, Distribution Channel, Division, Sales Group and Sales Office.
    Tolerance groups:
Tolerance groups represent amounts or percentages by which receivables may be underpaid or overpaid.
Amounts and percentage values for tolerances relating to underpayments and overpayments of receivables are defined in a tolerance group.
    Business Blue Print;
Business Blue print is understanding the clinets business completley. While we are implementing SAP to any client, first we have to understand their business completely so that we can map accordingly in SAP system. So, after understanding their business, we will prepare a document called as Busines Blue print. While is nothing but AS Is study.
    Functional Specification:
To speak at macro level that is at projet manager or at senior levels.  The Functional Spec (Specification) which is a comprehensive document is created after the (SRS) Software Requirements Document. It provides more details on selected items originally described in the Software Requirements Template. Elsewhre organizations combine these two documents into a single document.
The Functional Specification describes the features of the desired functinality.. It describes the product's features as seen by the stake holders, and contains the technical information and the  data needed for the design and developement.
The Functional Specification defines what the functionality will be of a particulat area that is to be precise a transaction in SAP terminology.
The Functional Specification document to create a detailed design document that explains in detail how the software will be designed and developed.
The functional specification translates the Software Requirements template into a technical description which
    a) Ensures that the product feature requirements are correctly understood before moving into the next step, that is detchnical developement  process.
    b) Clearly and unambiguously provides all the information necessary for the technical consultants to develop the objects.
At the consultant level the functional spects are preapred by functinal consultants on any functionality for the purpose of getting the same functinality designed by the technical pepole as most of the times the functionalities according to the requirements of the clients are not available on ready made basis.
Let me throw some light on documentation which is prepared before and in a project:
    1) Templates
    2) Heat Analysis -
    3) Fit Gap or Gap Analysis
    4) Business Process Design
    5) Business Process Model
    6) Business Change & Impact
    7) Configuration Design, which is just 5 % of Total SAP- have different names -
    8) Future Impact & Change Assessement
    9) Functional Design (Module Wise)
    10) Risk Assessement
    11) Process Metrics and Many More-- Which has impact on Business and its work flow
    Hope this is helpful.
    REWARD IF HELPFUL.

  • Mass Assignment of sales organization to products

    Hello experts,
I'd like to ask if anyone knows an easy way to maintain, mass update all products or products of a category with tha sales data?????
A trans. or report or smth, to assign the sales area XXX to all the products of the category YYYY.
    Thank you in advance

    Hi,
here's the menu path in IMG: Enterprise Structure -> Definition -> Sales and Distribution -> Define... sales organization
But please note: this is definitely an optional task, it's only for statistical purposes. For reporting purposes you should still be able to get all your analyses based on the organizational assignments of the sites (site master) and also in the business documents (e.g. in purchase order header data) Anyhow, there's one restriction: if you do this, then the purchasing organization in question has to be assigned as standard purchasing organization to those sites, that have the sales organization assigned (further purchasing organizations could still be assigned then).
From a business process point of view the sales organization - purchasing organization assignment is of no relevance.
There might be one aspect related to Retail Pricing: if you forgot to assign a reference site for pricing (you should do this though! - Logistics General -> Retail Pricing -> Sales Price Calculation -> Assign Pricing Type/Reference Site to Organizational Level), the system could use that purchasing organization for supply source determination.

  • Sales Organization Structure for Distribution Industry

    Hi Experts,
Need some inputs wrt Distribution Industry
    1. In Distributor set up. how should we set up the different manufactures which supply the products for distribution.
    2. How should we link the manufactures to Products they supply.
    3. How should we link the sales representatives to specific manufactures.
    4. Would it be a wise decision to incorporate manufactures as a division in the organization structure. Or should we map the manufactures as vendors and maintain the Vendor Info records.

    hi
this is to inform you that:
first of all  i have a question to you.  you are manufacturer of products that means are you paying excise duty for manufacturing products or only distributor of products.

    3. How should we link the sales representatives to specific manufactures.

4.a. manufacturer as a vendor and different products a divisions.

    sales organizations : 2 - domestic & exports
    distribution channels : 3 - retail - super stocists - C & F agents.
retail/wholesales/distributors/superdistributors/super distributors - all you can consider all into one distribution channel or tae as different distribution channels you have to analyse from reports perspective to have all these.
divisions - products = divisions lie cardiac - orthopedic to name a few.
sales office : you can have many as per your requriment.
sales group : basing on divisions = sales groups
company code = how many balance sheets you are submitting now to AAI that many company codes you have to have.
batch management with FIFO or LIFO strategy has to be mandatory in implementation.

  • Assignment of sales organization to purchasing organization

    Hi experts,
I saw one diagram that shows a sales organization can be assigned to purchasing organization. Can you please tell me how to assign this? Here's the statement from a book.
In SAP Retail, a sales organization can be assigned to a purchasing organization. This
means that the hierarchy creation that is displayed in the figure may be enforced. For
statistical purposes, this may be of interest. In some cases, both terms are identical.
    Thanks for the help

  • Country for the sales organization

    Hi,
I need to associate a country to each one of the sales organization I have created in BW. What I don't know is whether there is any navigational attribute associated or I have to create a characteristic and give the value depending on the sales organization?
    Can anybody help me?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards.

    Hi David,
As per your requirement, you may create an attribute of type Nav/Display.
Choose it based on your reporting requirement.
if you need Country to display only as property then you can make Display Attr or else if you need any furthur analysis based on Country like if you need your report to be grouped based on country then you need to make country as Nav attr of Sales Org.
    Hope this helps.

  • For new Plant should we have to create a new sales organization?

    Hi Experts,
I am going for one roll out project. In that we have to create new plant, so should i have to create new sales organization or else we can use the same. And also tell me what are the benefits & disadvantages of that.
    Thanks & Regards

    hi
i will say only one logic here.
if you define the plant or new plant you need to extend all the other organisational units for it right.
then i there is no need for creation of new SALES ORGANISATION on the same.
please take the advice of your PM in this regard he might be having different views from reporting perspective and might be your roll out project needs a new sales orgn or not.
if you ask us thre is no need for creating a new sales organisation on the same.
    advantages:
if there is a really need for creating a new sales orgn as wellas plant this mihgt be for reporting perspective only & analysis will be very clear.
    disadvantages:
this is not a disadvantage but from Enterprise Structure point of view master data will increase ofcourse this master data is needed for smooth processing of SYSTEM
    hope this clears your issue.

  • Query for Sales Order Analysis

    Dear Experts
I have written a Query for Sales Order Analysis and would like to have help on this.
The query is used for generating daily report for Sales Order on number of documents (Sales Order), total amount of sales orders and total GP of Sales Order. The query is written as below:
SELECT T0.[DocNum], SUM(T0.DocTotal) AS 'Total', SUM(T0.U_Total_GP) AS 'Total GP'
    FROM ORDR T0 WHERE T0.[DocDate] =[%0] GROUP BY T0.[DocNum] ORDER BY T0.[DocNum]
where U_Total_GP is a UDF for storing the GP of each order.
After executing the query, a selection criteria of date appears and after a date is selected, the report shown information required. However, the query does not calculate column total for total amount and total GP. Although I know the total for each column can be displayed by pressing "Ctrl" + Click on the column title, it would have to be done from time to time.
Therefore, I would like to modify my query in order to calculate the column totals when executed. Are there any suggestions for this?
    Thank you
    Regards
    Elton

    Hi Elton,
    Try this:
SELECT T0.[DocNum], SUM(T0.DocTotal) AS 'Total', SUM(T0.U_Total_GP) AS 'Total GP'
    FROM ORDR T0 WHERE T0.[DocDate] =[%0] GROUP BY T0.[DocNum]
    Union ALL
SELECT '', SUM(T0.DocTotal) AS 'Total', SUM(T0.U_Total_GP) AS 'Total GP'
    FROM ORDR T0 WHERE T0.[DocDate] =[%0]
    ORDER BY T0.[DocNum]
    Thanks,

  • Please tell me a BAPI to get Closing balance of customer account based on Sales Organization?

    Hi Experts,
A requirement has come up where I want to get Customer closing balance based on its sales organization as this particular customer is extented to 2 different sales organizations. I want to get the closing balance of individual sales organization vise.
Please tell me a BAPI to get Closing balance of customer account based on Sales Organization?

AFAIK there is no such BAPI, cause there is no database table with balance for customer per sales organisation. (No KNCx table for VKORG)
First ask functionals (*) how to recover sales organisation from a FI document (I suppose for SD invoice it is easy if no merging between organisation) will be a little tricker for pure FI document like payment transactions (hope thet are quickly cleared...)  Then start from non cleared records of BSID (also BSAD if you use a past date of reference, in case you have to add the records of BSAD with clearing date greater than reference date) and cross it with SD information to break FI into sales organisation.
    Regards,
    Raymond
(*) Ask for where do they store VKORG in FI documents

  • Query on Sales Order Analysis

    Dear Experts
I have written a Query for Sales Order Analysis and would like to have help on this.
The query is used for generating daily report for Sales Order on number of documents (Sales Order), total amount of sales orders and total GP of Sales Order. The query is written as below:

    Union ALL
SELECT '', SUM(T0.DocTotal) AS 'Total', SUM(T0.U_Total_GP) AS 'Total GP'
    FROM ORDR T0 WHERE T0.[DocDate] =[%0]
After executing the query, a selection criteria of date appears and after a date is selected, the report shown information required. Everything is fine with this query except I would also like to incdude the total number of Sales Order (per day) right below the column "DocNum".
Is it possible to achieve this?
    Thank You
    Regards
    Elton

    Try this:
SELECT T0.[DocNum], SUM(T0.DocTotal) AS 'Total', SUM(T0.U_Total_GP) AS 'Total GP'
    FROM ORDR T0 WHERE T0.[DocDate] =[%0] GROUP BY T0.[DocNum]

SELECT count(DocDate), SUM(T0.DocTotal) AS 'Total', SUM(T0.U_Total_GP) AS 'Total GP'

  • Training and Event Management - Sales Organization

In <b>Create Billing / Allocation Info (IT1037</b>), Billing Section, there is a field for <b>Sales Organization</b>. Is this Sales Organization to be defined (by Sales Team) in S & D and to be assigned in this Infotype for billing purpose?
I presume it is similar to the Cost Center defined by FICO Team and assigned in OM.
    Appreciate clarifications on this
    Points will be rewarded promptly

    Amit,
Thanks for your input and yes I had already referred the SAP help documentation.
My specific question was "<b>whether the Sales Organization is to be defined by S&D Team in S&D module?"</b>
My assumption is that Sales Organization mentioned in the referred infotype is to be defined in S&D like a Cost Center is defined by FICO Team in FICO module.
    Pl help with clarifications ..

    Hello,
try the Bapi BAPI_CUSTOMER_EDIT for this issue, it should be able to extend the vendor via this bapi.
