Sales return- Rejection of stock

Hello all,
I am working on sales return (customer complaint) cycle.
I have maintained inspection type 06 in the material master.
The movement type I am using is 651.
As soon as the delivery is created, the inspection lot is created against the delivery.
I do RR & UD for that.
If UD code is accepted and I do PGR in the delivery then the stock comes under 'Returns'. This is fine.
But when I reject the lot, the entry should be created in the blocked stock at the time of PGR in delivery, which is not happening.
Instead it's giving me an error 'Status of inspection lot XXXXXXXXXXX / partial lot 000000 does not allow good issue'
What's wrong?
Mimiri

Sujit,
I don't intend to use 05 though it's stock relevant.
06 is working fine for me.
My only question is at the time of UD if I accept the lot and then do PGR in the delivery then the goods recipt is done in returns.
What happens wrongly if the UD is rejected and then I try to do PGR then system gives error message thet the status of the inspection lot doesn't allow good movement.
As per my assumption it should go to block stock if the lot is rejected.
Am I making some mistake or is this a standard SAP practice?
One more question is SAP has designed 06 specially for sales returns then just for stock relevancy why do we need to use 05?
And whta should be the standard practice if we go only for 06? Any SAP library document for this?

  • Sales Returns for Excisable Finished Stock

    Dear All,
I have read a post below with regards to sales returns for finished stock which updates RG1 register, as I understand RG1 register is a quantity register, and the movement types define the sales returns qty wise, However I have the following queries
If I send 10 qty of material to my customer the same is captured through my normal sales scenario where I create an outgoing excise invoice, however if the customer sends 3qtys back then I create Return Sales Order, Return Inbound Delivery and a Credit Memo, however from an excise point of view I need to use the t-code J1IH as suggested in the below post and click on additional excise and give the required details. However at the bottom there is a radio button tab RG23 A and RG23 C where in the system by default it is selected as RG23A.
My question is I will input an outgoing excise invoice where I need to give partial credit for the part qtys which the customer has returned and if  I do click on RG23A tab( Since there is Radio Button) does it have any impact on the register RG23A value wise, as per my understanding RG23A is used from a purchase point of view for raw materials and RG23C is for purchase finished product and why is there no Radio Button indicating RG1 and it does have any impact on other register as well.
Customer Returns for Excisable Finished materials RG1 registers update

    Dear Siddhartha,
This functionality was available in standard it self, Chose order type RE, Configure Delivery (PGR) and billing documents for the order type. It will reversal automatically the excise and sales etc..
In sales, customer will get debit and sales will get credit, so once you can take return this will get reverse including excise, sales and cst  / vat.

  • Sales Returns Stock posting using movement type 651

    Hi Experts,
I want to upload the sales returns stock using movement type 651. Because, our existing company code 'xxxx' has been changed to 'zzzz' and all the stocks, balances and so on has been uploaded and carry forwarded to new company code 'zzzz'.
Now, I stuck with the customer/sales returns stock. Also, I know that there is no accounting effects with the movement type 651 i.e., blocked stock stored in customer rejection storage location.
I have tried lot but I didn't get the solution for the same.
Kindly share some ideas to upload the sales returns stock.
    Anandkumar KS

    Dear Experts,
First of all, sorry for late reply.
I tried using the movement type 655, but i can't able to post the stock.
Is there any other way to post the stock in customer rejection storage location with the movement type 655?
Also, it should not create any Accounting Document while posting the stock.

  • Stock value related to sales return

    Hi experts,
When sales return, the return goods captures the current stock value after PGI. What's the system logic for that? U know, the customer wants it to capture the stock value of the responding sales delivery date.
For e.g., the goods (10 ton) is sold in June when the stock value is $10/ton. In July, 2 ton is returned while the stock value is $15/ton. According to the standrad system configuration, the return goods bases on $15/ton to calculate (accounting document in material document after PGI). But the customer want to base on $10/ton to calculate as to keep some financial reports balance.
In case the difference of stock value occurs, is it the only way to adjust material cost via MR21 & the difference of stock by KEU5?

    Hi Colleagues,
I am facing the same issue with my client.
Here, the project was implemented 5 years back and till now the processes in system were working fine. But, raised a concern on MAP of material during issues and returns.
Client is maintaining MAP for certain materials (includes some FG items also) in Material master data.
During goods issue MAP is captured at say 100/- But, if the stock is being returned into plant after 6 months or so.....then during goods returns, MAP is captured at current prices ..say 95/-.
Now the client want to return the stock at same price during original goods issue i.e at 100/- only. Even if goods return document captures the stock MAP at 100/- ...then where do difference (5/-) will be posted. As per logic difference will be posted to P/L account, but can we see this posting in accounting document of goods return material document?
I think it is not possible in standard process in system. To take up this activity with system modification, can we utilize userexits in MM module? If so, can anybody please tell...which include can we consider to do this.
    Thanks & regards,
    Praveen.

  • Sales return PGR  issue for E stock

    Dear Sapients,
    Scenario
I have created sales order stock, with account assignment u201CMu201Dand not with C (sales Order).Because we procure the stock at the time of sales Inquiry and w.r.t sales Inquiry.
SAP system will allow delivery and PGI w.r.t sales order, BUT stock will be taken from the sales inquiry only. This meets our requirement. We can do Billing and Customer Cheque receipts and posting.
    Issue
When there is a sales return, the system does not allow doing a PGR.
    Error
Special Stock E not supported (check your entry)
    Message no. M7146
    Analysis
From my understanding, there is no value string/Quantity string for the movement type for sales return with the required conditions.
Query(Need help to understand this )
Is it sap standard that special stock with indicator u201CEu201D are not subjected for Sales return (PGR).I want to do PGR for sales return stock. What are the settings to do the task.

Try this case ,if suits you.
Automatic purchase requisitions can be created with the following settings in mrp view.
    -Procurement type:F
    -Special procurement:30 (subcontracting).
When a sales order is created for materials having the above settings, subcontracting purchase requisition get created automatically.
When a GR is done for such purchase orders the error message "M7 146 Special Stock not supported" is thrown. This error is thrown when there is a subcomponent with itemcatagery 'D'.

  • Movemen tye for stock against SO (Unrestricted) during Sales return deliver

    Hi,
I wanted to trasfer stock against sales order (unrestricted) during PGI of Sales return deliver.
Currently we are using Movement type-653 but it transfer stock to unrestricted location which we want to take against sales order-unrestricted.
Please suggest movement type for same or do we need to create new movement type for same.?
    BR,
    Ajit raut

As per my opinion , it is not possible.First you have to put the Stock in Unrestricted use then you can assign it to any Sales Order.
It can come in Sales order - Unrestricted Only when in Your Sales Cycle - Returns , you create a Returns Order wrt any Sales Order which is not Possible.
So better to do the PGR and then assign the stock with a new Sales Order.

    Regards
    Ragesh

If a customer returns goods , you must first determine whether or not a returns delivery exists for the returns in the Sales (SD-SLS) component. You then enter the return with or without a returns delivery.
Since returns from the customer are usually examined, the quantity returned is first posted to blocked stock returns. As is the case with goods receipt blocked stock, blocked stock returns are neither valuated nor do they count as unrestricted-use stock.
If an examination proves that the returned quantity should be taken over into unrestricted-use stock, you enter the transfer to unrestricted-use stock in a second step. It is at that time that the valuation of the goods receipt occurs.
If a returns delivery exists, the return should be posted in the Sales (SD-SLS) component, not in the Inventory Management component.
Depending on how Customizing for Sales is configured (the movement type is configured in the step Define Schedule Line Category), the delivery is posted to the following stock:
Blocked stock returns (non-valuated, not unrestricted-use) (movement type 651)
    Unrestricted-use stock (movement type 653)
Quality inspection stock (movement type 655)
    Blocked stock (movement type 657)
If the given quantity is posted to blocked stock returns first, you can make a manual goods movement posting in the Inventory Management component to transfer the quantity to valuated stock.
If blocked stock returns are to be transferred into your company's own stock, you enter the transfer as a transfer posting. Choose movement type 453 (to unrestricted-use stock), 457 (to stock in quality inspection stock), or 459 (to blocked stock.
    If helps rewards points.

  • Rework on sales return finished goods material

    Hi all,
There is sales return finished good in stock.
This FG is rejected by quality assurance due to some quality reasons.
Now, rework to be done on this FG to make it as per quality standards,
After rework the material code of FG will remain same and sales will dispatch this FG in the same code.
How to show this rework process and what r the steps.

    Hi,
This is handled via Rework Order type, I Feel PP would be the better forum to Get better details regarding your issue, its a normal process in production to do rework on materials once they are identified as not meeting the required specification.

  • Sales return

    Dear sap Gurus,
In sales return scenario which is the t code and mov type to transfer the stocks from returns column to unrestricted use column..i am confused as there are too many movements types sugessted.....can anyone through light on the same.
Experts will be rewarded with points....
    Regards,
    Shruthi D Seth

    Hi,
sales returns is a process in which the customer returns the material supplied to him may be because of poor quality, functionality not proper, etc. We configure the process in SAP in the following way:
The return sales order - order type is RE in SAP. The item category for this item is REN. In VOV8 copy RE and maintain yous with name changed. save it.
The return sales order is always created in reference to an original invoice. Why because for a sales order containing 5 items of different quantities the deliveries may have been different and accordingly the invoice also may have been different. So actually the invoice may contain only one item amongst the 5 items. If this item is rejected the original invoice is taken into consideration for reference.
Create return sales order - VA01 enter the sales area and click on create with reference. go to invoice tab select the original invoice and copy it. Check the quantity and create the sales order. save it.
go to VL01N - create returns delivery, do the PGR9post goods receipt). Save it.
fo to VF01 - create credit memo. save it.
    Normal process flow
    RE - LR - RE.
Transaction code for transferring the returns goods from returns to unrestricted stock. - "MB1B" and movement type is "453"
Hope this will solve your problem. Reward points if solution found useful.

  • Sales return-configuration

please  tell me  the  steps involved sales return with  TC CODE.

    Return material From customer
You need to receipt the rejected goods through SD Module (VA01 - Sales Order type RE).
The steps are as follows :
    1. Create a return request. (Using Sales Order in SD)
    2. Create outbound delivery according to return request.
    3. If the setting is correct in the outbound delivery screen SAP will automatically switch post goods issue button into post goods receipt. The setting is in sales order item category and delivery type.
    4. In the standard system the movement type used is 651.
    5. After post goods issues receipt is done using outbound delivery, the quantity is placed in blocked stock without value updating.
    6. You will then decide if the return quantity are indeed bad stock or not.
    7. Transfer Posting from block stock to unrestricted stock (mvt type 453), this will have accounting effect (Debit Inventory, Credit COGS)
    8. Goods Issue to scrap account how to create new titles which can be used in creating the "address" view on the Vendor master.{T-Code: XK01}
In config go to Basis Components --> basis services --> Address Management --> Maintain title texts

  • Sales Return and credit memo

    Dear All
Little confused, kindly tell me correct method.
    Sales return:
    1. Sales order>Delivery> Billing> Return Order>Return Delivery-Credit Return
    Credit memo
    1. Sales order>Delivery>Billing>Credit memo request>credit memo
confusion is that when goods are recieved back due to customer rejection, we issue credit memo, which above step should be followed
    Please kindly guide me.
    Regards
    Sandeep Bhowmick

    Dear Sandeep,
    > If the step no 1 is correct then in which scenario we will be using credit memo request and credit memo
See i will explain you with all scenario :
    1. Scenario 1--> When we are selling some material to the customer and that material is scraped or completely lost in transit or any situation where you can not take it back....... So in this case there is no need of creating Return delivery......... Your Process 2 will go here.
    2. Scenario 2: --. You sent some material to customer but due to some quality or defect purpose customer wants to return to you, then you have to create return delivery which will insure that you are taking that material back into your stock for quality checking.
    I guess it will help...
    Thanks,
    Raja
