Same ALE logical system for multiple BP

Hello,
we are using two processes to deal with the messages we receive from an external partner.
For our system this partner is a logical system.
My problem is now that we cannot give the same name to to processes.
Do you have an idea how to solve it?
Greets,
Helge

Hi,
I now tried a bit with your input and the result is that I know gave the adapter specific identifier to one process (A) and in the receiver agreement I used a header mapping with A as the sender.
I dunno why but now its working. Whatever the difference with the external partner my be ...

  • ALE logical systems for business service or process

    Hi,
I am trying to send an IDOC into my R/3 system. It is the same IDOC type that I have sucessfully sent out to parties. All the config is in place for communicating with the system, because I have sent others IDOCs in the past. However, they always were sent from another R/3 business system. They processed sucessfully.
I am now trying to sending IDOC's from a BPM,as well as, from a business service. They are under the "With Party" section of the directory. These obviously do not have logical systems, so when I try to send the IDOC I get
"Unable to convert the sender service Purchase_Orders to an ALE logical system", where purchase_Orders being the name of the business serice.
How can I handle this problem?
Should I hard code values somewhere?
    Which ones?
I have read the other posts for the error above, but my situation seems to be different.
    Help!
    Chris

    Hi,
To solve your problem, here my solution:
1/ In your Business Process of your ID (configurator), go to menu "Service > Adapter-specific identifier" and in the part "IDoc Adapter", write your Logical System.
2/ Create this Logical System on your target system (R/3).
WARNING: XI allows you to used a Logical System for only one service (Business Process). Thus, if you are several interfaces, you must used different Logical Systems.

Still i am getting this error can anyone please let me know what to do now..??
    Please treat this as urgent

    Hi,
This error is caused when Sender System name does not match the logical system name of partner. As you mentioned you have done all the steps to ensure that, here's a checklist that could be helpful:
    1. Check adapter specific parameters for sender system.
    2. Maintain header mapping in receiver agreement and ensure that sender service name provided is same as business partner name required in R3 and business partner type is LS.
    3. This may sound very basic, but ensure that checkbox for 'Apply control record from payload' is not checked and if it is then the values passed through payload are appropriate.
    Hope this would be helpful.
    Thanks,

  • How to create Logical System for ALE?

    Thanks in Advance.

    Hi,
what you did is correct but you don't have the authorization for cross-clients in your sever.First take the authorization for cross-clients then follw the steps

  • Define one logical system for PI or multiple LS for 3rd-party system?

    Hi gurus,
We are using IDOC2SOAP and SOAP2IDOC scenario in PI7.11. My question is regarding the logical system(or partner profile) on R3 side. We have two 3rd party system:A and B, so we have two choices.
    1. define one single logical system for PI integration server;
    2. define two logical systems for A and B.
For choice 1, it seems we can only use one business sytem or business component (business service in 7.0) as the two 3rd party system, especially for SOAP2IDOC scenario.
For choice 2, it seems we have no restrictions.
Is it correct?Any help will be appreciated.

technically you can use both options.
The question is - do you want all the IDOCs in your R3 system to appear as though they were sent from the PI?
What if a lot of 3rd party systems were sending the same IDOC (for example - ORDERS) and you want to investigate only those who were sent from system A?
I like it configured that every system will be identified by a name I give it.
I just use the IDOC communication channel checkbox of "Take Sender from Payload"
or use a different service in the IBC that has a different logical system configured in its Adapter specific identifiers.
    Hope it helps,
    Imanuel Rahamim.

  • Logical systems for ALE

    HI all,
I'm configuring for an IDoc to be generated and downloaded to a file via a file port.
This IDoc is of message type PAYEXT.
The file is to be sent ot the bank via the meansa of third party software.
Do I have to create logical systems for these? Or only the outbound logical system?
Do I also need to set up the distribution model , and if so, how far do i need to set it up?
    Points wil be awarded. Thanks!

    Hi
Use BD64 Tcode to setup distribution Model
    Define the 2 logical systems.
    see the flow:
    Outbound:
Step 1.  Application document is created when transaction is saved.
             2.  Message control is invoked.
             3.  Messages are processed by system.
             4.  Messages are Edited (if desired).
             5.  Output (ALE /  EDI) is checked
             6.  Validate against Message control record from Partner Profile
             7.  Application Document is saved.
             8.  Entry NAST table is created for every selected output program
                  along with Medium & Timing.
             9.  Check for Process Immediately .
                     If (yes)
Determine Processing Program from TNAPR Table.
                     ELSE
                       Execute RSNASTED Program.
           10.  Read Partner Profile to determine Process Code.
           11.  Process Code points to the Function Module & Invoked.
           12.  IDoc is generated.
           13.  Check for ALE Request.
                        if (Yes)
Perform Filters, Conversions, Version Changes etc.
                        Else.
                            IDoc is stored in DATABASE.
    INBOUND:
Step 1.  EDI Subsystem creates an IDoc file from EDI Messages
            2.   Subsystem calls Functional Module                                 EDI_DATA_INCOMING from startRFC program.
             3.  Data in Control Record is validate against the Partner                       Profile.
            4. IDoc is generated in Database and syntax check is                      carried out.
            5. IDoc file is deleted once file read.
            6. Event PROCESSSTATE REACHED is triggered in Idoc Object Workflow.
                       7.  Check for Process Immediately.
                   If NO
                     Execute RBDAPP01 Program
                   Else
Read Process Code from Partner Profile
Process Code Points to  Function Module
                     Application Document Posted.

  • Internal order - Error - Different logical system for order

    Hello all,
I try to send IDoc (INTERNAL_ORDER) from system A to system B.
    I have done:
    - BD64 / WE20 / WE21
But after having customizing I have got following error:
Different logical system for order xxxxxx
    Message no. 2075ALE001
    Diagnosis
Internal order xxxxxxx already exists in system B. Its master system B is different from the master system A of the new internal order to be distributed with the same order number xxxxxxx.
    System Response
Internal order xxxxxxx with master system A cannot be distributed in system B.
    Procedure
Check customizing for ALE for internal orders.
    How to solve this?
My aim is to maintain internal order master data in test system.
    Thanks for your help.
    David

    I have found something.
If I change in table AUFK, logical from empty to A (master) and I run IDOC then IDOC has been correctly integrated.
    Then: how to define "master"?

  • Receiver service ??? cannot be converted into an ALE logical system

    Hi,
I am hoping for some help with an Idoc issue in XI version 3.0.  The scenario is like this:
    Flat file->File adapter->XI->Idoc adapter->R/3
I have configured a scenario in one system like this that works fine.  But in the current system I am getting the error message "Receiver service ??? cannot be converted into an ALE logical system" from the Idoc adapter.
As it is XI 3.0, I have set the Agency and Scheme in the destination communication channel to <Service>, ALE#LS and in the destination party, I have created a alternative identifier <Service>, ALE#LS, SYSCLNT200.
I have configured an ALE logical system name in the SLD.
I have cleared the SLD cache in the integration builder.
The ALE logical system name was not in the SLD when the message first appeared, but I thought clearing the cache would fix that.  I have not tried deleting the service and re creating it.  That is my next step....if all else fails.
Not sure what else I haven't tried.
    Can anyone offer any advice?

Thanks Sam Raju for the reply.
    On your questions:
    1. I checked IDX1 - port for the receiving R/3 is defined as SAPIR1_300 (port: SAPIR1 and Client: 300) and it is mapped to RFC destination of IR1300.
    2. Checked RFC destination IR1300 - it is setup as R/3 connection and checked test connection and remote login and both are working fine
    3. Checked IDX5 - did find one message (status is successful) corresponding to the file I am sending into R/3 and this entry is an Outbound entry.
Question: Should there be two entries here in IDX5 - one for inbound and the other for outbound?
May be I am doing something wrong here in setting up the interface mapping and endpoints. Anyway when I check the IDOCOutbound in the Soap Header, I see the following:
      <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes" ?>
    - <!--  Response

    - <SAP:IDocOutbound xmlns:SAP="http://sap.com/exchange/MessageFormat/">

      <SAP:RCVPRN>IR1CLNT300</SAP:RCVPRN>
      <SAP:RCVPRT>LS</SAP:RCVPRT>
      </SAP:IDocOutbound>
Do you see anything wrong or missing here. SNDPOR is XI port, SNDPRN is the source partner (file) and RCV... information is all the receiving R/3.
I am suspecting that something is missing either here or in the endpoint setup.
Also, in the TechnicalRouting I have this:
    - <SAP:address version="20">
      <SAP:systemKey>IR1CLNT300</SAP:systemKey>
      <SAP:endpointType>IDOC</SAP:endpointType>
      <SAP:url>IDOC://SAPIR1?RFCDEST=IR1300&DOCREL=&VERSION=3&SAPREL=46C</SAP:url>
      </SAP:address>
Any issues you see here in url?
Also, when I look on the XI server, I do not see these files deposited anywhere- so they are going somewhere (as the status in IDX5 is successful)!
Do I need to activate any queues or triggers anywhere.
Can you please offer advice and help us out.
    Thanks again.

  • SOAP to IDOC: Unable to convert sender service BS to an ALE logical system

    Hello everyone,
I have this scenario where i receive web services calls and have to integrate the received xml messages (idocs) into SAP R3 system.
I allready reveive the message in my XI engine, but i'm getting this error (being  BS the name of my Business Service included in my external party):
"Unable to convert sender service BS to an ALE logical system"
I allready tried everything that is specified in this blog:
The specified item was not found.
Probably it doesn' fit my requirements. I'm not sure...
    Can anyone help ?
Thank you in advance for any help
                                       Nuno

    - do u have the same logical name defined in the BS and in the Adapter specific attributes.
also check if u have defined the logical system (SALE ) with the same name.

  • Unable to convert sender service(BPM) to an ALE logical system

    Hi All,
I am working on simple File to File Scenario where XI picks the File and process thru BPM and sends the file to R/3 Application server and wait for SYSTAT STATUS IDoc for the acknowledgement from R/3 System.
My scenario is working fine by receiving the STATUS IDoc and closing the BPM instance.
But later I am getting System error message as below:
Unable to convert sender service (BPM) to an ALE logical system
    Any clues in this case?
    Thanks in Advance.
    Regards
    Sudha.

    Hi Rajesh,
    1. I am receiving the file into BPM and after validation Iu2019m splitting the file into multiple files.
    2. Each split file sent to R/3 Application Server(by activating the correlation with the filename)
    3. BPM will wait for SYSTAT STATUS IDoc (by using correlation with the filename) from R/3 System
for acknowledgement purpose. After receiving the respective STATUS IDoc (with the filename) then
        BPM will close the instance.
    4. If the STATUS IDoc not received with in specified duration an alert will raise and close the BPM
        instance.
So we are not sending the STATUS IDoc data to Sender system.
    Regards
    Sudha.

  • Once again: Unable to convert sender service to an ALE logical system

    Hi,
I know there's a lot of threads regarding that error but I didn't find one that fits to our current scenario:
    IDoc -> XI -> File
We have checked if the logical system name in SALE (of sending system) fits to the one in the business system and it does now.
It didn't fit at first but we've changed it in the SLD and reimported the business system.
We still get the same message:
    <SAP:Code area="IDOC_ADAPTER">ATTRIBUTE_INV_SND_SERV</SAP:Code>
<SAP:Stack>Unable to convert sender service to an ALE logical system</SAP:Stack>
There is no logical system entered in the receiver business system. Do we need that? But of which logical system?
    Thanks for any advice
    Karsten

    Hi,
    Acknowledgments
Receiver adapters that run on the Adapter Engine support system acknowledgments if they are requested by the sender.( Ex : Idoc----File). Here by default Idoc has the inbuilt feature of requesting the Ack.
Acknowledgments are triggered when a message is successfully processed by the adapter or if an error occurs while it is being processed. Receiver adapters do not support application acknowledgments.
Sender adapters of the Adapter Engine do not request any acknowledgments

  • Problem converting Integration Process to ALE logical system(acknowledgmen)

    Hello,
I have a scenario where a sender SAP system sends an IDoc via an Interface Mapping to an Integration Process.
This worked perfectly fine on our development environment, but after transporting the scenario to our quality systems I got the following acknowledgement error:
Unable to convert the sender service <i>name of integration process</i> to an ALE logical system.
What could be the reason for this? We have a logical system on the sender SAP system set up for the XI system itself but not for the Integration Process.
We also use SYSTAT IDocs and there we set the the logical sender system name to the logical system for SAP XI and not for the integration process.
Is this also necessary for acknowledgements? Where could this be done. Strange thing is that it works perfectly fine on our development environment.

I raised the same question a few months back.Answer to this question is in the same thread.
Idoc Acknowledgements -  Logical System Name
You will have to select option "Restore Original Parties for Idoc Acknowledgments " in the Acknowledgment Idoc adapter.

  • Logical system for business service!!!!!!!!!

    Hi all,
I send a file from filesystem to XI which inturn converted to IDOC and posted to SAP system. Filesystem i've added as a business system(which has a logical system in R/3).
now i've added the filesystem as a business service(assinged to a party). So if send the file i'm getting the error as "Unable to convert sender service to an ALE logical system".
How can i resolve this problem?
can we assign the business service a logical system name ?(as business system)
What could be the procedure for processing this kind of b2b scenario where we dont have information about systems or sevices in SLD?
Thanks in advance for your replies........
