Same connection problem

I use the BC4J technology and I have the following problem:
I deploy a project and I declare the classpath in the Jserv properties file. Everything works perferctly. But when I deploy another application which has a different connection to the database I declare a different classpath in the Jserv properties file (under the first), it always takes the connection of the first declaration. If I change the order in the Jserv file then the first project works but the second no.
Does anybody know how I can solve this problem?
thanks in advanced

Thanks Ralph,
My problems are related to my residence apartment using a 3rd party for the ISP
However, I owe you and the author of this site

a great thanks.
After reading through your pages and his, I had no problem configuring a DSL to DSL.
Thanks again.

    Hi,
Can you please help us better understand what the issue is, and how to solve it?
I am seeking to get B1WS working on remote machines.
I have built a small test application, which works fine on the server which also hosts the SQL Server instance and IIS.
When I move the application to another machine, no connection happens, and it always throws this error:
    Message:
"Unable to connect to the remote server"
    Inner Exception:
"No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 127.0.0.1:80"
    Error Code:

    This configuration works:
    Licensing Server:  Server A
    Database Server:  Server B
    IIS Server (B1WS):  Server B

    This configuration does not work:
    Licensing Server:  Server A
    Database Server:  Server B
    IIS Server (B1WS): Server B
    Running App:  Workstation C
I have checked permissions on the web services folder, and gave Everyone all permissions.  The same connection problems persists.
    All help is welcome!

  • Bluetooth Connection Problem Logitech V270 Cordless Optical Notebook Mouse

I just start using the Logitech® V270 Cordless Optical Notebook Mouse for Bluetooth with my Ibook g4. The Ibook has internal bluetooth module installed. The mouse is easy to install. It pairs with the computer and both buttons and scrollwheel works.
However the Bluetooth connection gets lost occasionally. Most of the times it reastablish the connection quickly after. I think this is strange as the mouse is always near my iBook.
Does anyone has an idea how this problem can be solved? Or what might be the cause of this bluetooth disconnection? The mouse doesn't need drivers for operation on a mac. Some people have the same connection problems?

I have use the same mouse and I have never had a dropped connection. Have you tried replacing the batteries in the V270 to see if that might avoid the drop out?

After upgrading my iPad Air with IOS 7.06, I could no longer connect to the internet.
I have 2 MacBooks Air, 1 ipad mini and one iPhone 4S running on the same network, and they are all connected to the net and function well.
So I cleaned up the ipad completely, installed the latest firmware and reinstalled my apps : no connection.
I tried all things of resets and forgets. No result.
I have been fondling with my Airport Extreme 5 , but that did not help much.
This morning I went to a neighbor , hooked my ipad air on his network, typed the password and the thing all worked fine.
I have tried to connect the ipad air as an ethernet client, but that did not work. „Not enough power“ was the statement
    Ideas anyone ?

Yes I tried this manyfold. But did not work.  Reading on, I took Tesserac's advice. Shut down router and computer.
Start router after 15 minutes and wait another 10 minutes before starting the computer.
Et voila.... everything is back in working order,

  • Same old problem.. slow connection

    Hello,
I have just moved into a new block of newly built flats, I signed up to 40mbit ADSL, I keep getting connection problems on my ps3 and I'm downloading at around 600kb/s.
    Something isn't right, when I called BT the stupid woman tried to fob me off basically everything is fine and its probably just the connection between the cat cable connecting my PS3 and my wireless connection to both of my laptops . Here are my speed test;
Download speedachieved during the test was - 2458 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 600-7150 Kbps.
     Additional Information:
     Your DSL Connection Rate :8128 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 7150 Kbps
just to add I've had the broadband for two weeks now

As john says most things look OK for an 8Meg connection synch and profile are as good as it will be but with that attenuation 24, sn margin 7.8 and profile 7150 I think if speed test is working ok you should see near twice that download
on speed test,  but your 600 KB (bytes not bits ) real world download   is ok 600 x 8 =4800
If any post helps tick the star box on the left
Just cause Im paranoid dont mean they are not out to get me

  • Unending connectivity problems -- and Desktop Help...

I'm wasting so much time on connectivity problems that it's positively wearying. Prior to the installation of BT Infinity here in April, I had a low quality broadband service because of the length of the line from the exchange: if I could get a download speed of 1.2Mbps and an upload of a quarter of that, I was doing well.
BT advised that thanks to fibre optic, my Internet should run much faster. So we had Infinity installed. I'm registered with Speedtest.net so am able to see my performance record.
The average download speed is now aroun d 6Mbps and the average upload, more than that at 7Mbps. How an upload speed can consistently be faster than a download escapes me.
But I'm not familiar with the ways of Internet connectivity and try as a I might, can't get my head around it.
This desktop computer runs Vista OS. Vista was **bleep** when it came out and is renowned for its botched handling of Internet connections. So I'm not blaming BT for the literally unending connectivity problems that are occurring now, with line drops, speeds slowing to a crawl, and no guarantee that any connection will last. But it would be good to actually use BT software to help fathom out what's going wrong here, and today's typical morning which looks like this:
    1) Boot up computer. Automatic connection to hub via Netgear USB wireless adapter. Hub is on ground floor of this 3-storey property but signal strength from hub  is excellent, as confirmed by inSSIDer monitoring, currently showing 54 with no other networks anywhere near that figure.
    2) Perhaps 5 minutes after connection established, it's then lost. 'Local Only' is displayed. This is, apparently, a known Vista problem. But Microsoft has issued a fix for it. I know this, because it took 100 hours of ploughin g the Net to find out that MS had finally admitted to one more Vista screw-up. I've used the Microsoft router "fix it" before and it didn't work ("failed to process") so uninstalled it and have DL'd it again now and run it. This time it says it has fixed everything.
    3) Computer is re-booted to make the fix effective. Computer connects to Internet. Speedtest.net check yet again confirms that upload speed is faster than download speed.
    4) Connection dies. So much for Microsoft Fix It.
    5) Windows diagnostics reports that it can re-set the IP profile (or something.) I click yes. The re-set goes through. Connectivity is restored. 10 minutes later, connectivity is lost. Just a red X in the tray. No connection of any kind, not even that daft 'Local Connection' only alert.
    6) Reboot. Yet again. BT Desktop Help was installed here and ran OK when we were using our Netgear DSG34 router. But since the change to the BT Hub, the BT program has never run at all. So-oo. . . It has been uninstalled. And then re-DL'd and re-installed. And though the installation  has been completed, clicking on 'launch' has failed to launch anything. But anyway. An hour ago, in one of the brief periods today when the Internet connection was holding up, I Revo-ed out the earlier install, DL'd BT desktop Help and re-installed it. . . and I'm still at the same stage as always, with a  Firefox browser page that's open and completely blank and has been for the past 30 minutes. The URL is:
    file:///C:/Program%20Files/BT%20Broadband%20Desktop%20Help/btbb/Start.html
Repeated page re-loading gets nowhere. Malwarebytes PRO is turned OFF to prevent any possibility of blocking and the antivirus is termporaily SUSPENDED. This PC runs on Windows standard firewall but even turning that OFF doesn't get the page to load. Copying the address into Internet Explorer in case there's a Firefox problem merely results in Firefox being opened and the same blank page running there.
    7) After all that. . . Connection lost yet again and this time, Windows cannot connect at all. It reports that the "wireless network security key is not correct". I happen to know that it is, because this is maybe the 20th time it has reported this in the past 10 days and every time I have to key in the "correct" key all over again. . . at which point Windows still says it isn't correct and cannot repair.
Turning off the computer completely, unplugging from the wall, holding in the power switch for a full minute to clear the circuits, traipsing up and dowen three flights of stairs to turn off the hub, then wait, then turn the power back onm again. . . Ah, wot fun times I'm having here with my particular versioin of Infinity (as in, an infinity of connectivcity problems.)
Summary: I seem to be being simultaneously hit with one issue after another.
I'm bewildered as to why ever since Infinity was installed here, my upload speed is generally faster than my download speed. I'm not happy with endless Internet connection failures though am thinking that Vista is playing a large part here with its "wrong security key" and unending 'Local Only / Limited Connection' failures. I do miss my Netgear router and the ability to access a fantastic help menu and re-boot directly from the desktop without having to keep going up and down three flights of sdtairs to do so (I haven't been able to find out how toe access the BT Hub remotely.)
Above all though: I'm  really tired of repeatedly trying to run freshly downloaded and installed BT Desktop Help software but getting no further than a blank page because the program has stalled.
If anyone has any advice / suggestions, other than to buy a carrier pigeon, that'd be much appreciated.
    Thanks.

Thanks again to John and gg30340. Here's an update:
    1) BT Desktop Help removed completely from this computer. The uninstaller itself mopped up everything, which surprised me. But anyway.
    2) Bt Home Hub manager set up and working. Had to input serial number and create new password. All of this sounds fairly easy and would be if one had the device near the desk. But the idiots who built this property shoved the BT master socket inside the garage next to the door. Our two home computers are on the third floor. To ensure the wireless signal strength is OK, the Hub and Infinity module/device/whatever it's called are on a high shelf. It's a major job to even reach the darn things, never mind read the labels seeing as how the BT Infinity engineer was good enough to tidy up the cabling and make a very tight connection to the wall socket.
    3) I had hoped to be able to back up the Hub's settings, seeing as the software provides for Advanced Settings / System / Backup. But not on mine (Hub 3.0). All that System allows is choosing which internet clock to define the accurate time. Everything else in System is just a pattern of short lines as if trying to indicate that there's some text there but it's invisible. This is now my second encounter with BT software which, for whatever reason, isn't functioning as it should on this PC.
    4) Hub reset to factory fresh, according to BT guide.
    5) Reset appears to have achieved nothing apart from requiring the password to be popped in again. After reset, it wasn't even possible to connect to the hub manager. Internet connectivity was eventually established for all of 30 seconds and then, gone.
    6) Computer was shut down and then booted anew. Internet connectivity is still. . . dreadful. One minute everything's fine and then, literally,. the next minute a webpage won't load. Even opening the Hub Manager has taken three attempts, i.e., disconnecting from the Internet, re-connecting, failing, and trying twice more until success. Yet all the time these failures are occurring, the tray icon is showing a steady, unwavering green icon for Local and Internet access -- despite the fact, there manifestly isn't any.
    7) Speedtest. net tests are actually showing upload and download 'trajectories' going slower and slower and finally halting at some point on the arc, then after a period of up to 30 seconds, suddenly becoming animated again. Speed test results with broadband speed checker UK and Think Broadband's checker are so at variance with one another, and with Speedtest, net, that it seems all three are using different technologies in pursuit of the same thing. Either way, upload speeds continue to be much, much faster than download speeds, a state of affairs I certainly have never encountered before.
    8) Speedtest net tests taken in the past 10 minutes, with one test following on from its predecessor, begin at 8.24 down/8.88 up, followed by 5.24 down / 6.40 up, followed by a mind-numbingly lonnnnng 0.62 down / 8.70 up -- in other words, a continuous yo-yoin g of Internet connectivity to the pooint that it actually might as well not even be here (I've had to make five attempts just to get on to this forum. . .)
    9) BT Speedtest will necessitate disconnection of everything downstairs and all boxes being lugged up here. This is actually going to require uncoililng tied-off cabling and hanging off a stepladder to do so -- though I surely can't be the only person in Britain who doesn't have a nice, handy BT master socket in their study or lounge. That said though: until we switched to Infinity, we *never* experienced these kinds of horrendous connectivity problems and never had need to unplug the Netgear router downstairs and bring it upstairs to connect directly to tjhe desktop PC so BT's own test could be run.
I'll just have to get to work dismantling stuff tomorrow. However, I have to say that after a factory re-set which has changed nothing at all, I'm beginning to think there's a problem with the BT line itself (hence why I'm happy to follow the advice here, though less than happy at the prospect of the messing about involved.)
Thanks, you two, for your patient help, and also for clarifying the situation re the three signal paths being shown on inSSIDer. At least I know that's usual now! And now, hopefully, when I press 'Post', I won't be faced with an endlessly spinning Firefox circle culminating in  what may well be, or seem to be, the 57,938th time today of seeing "Page Not Found". . .

  • Remote and keynoteRemote connection problems

    Hello
I have installed the Remote App, and bought KeynoteRemote, but I cannot make any of them talk to my Macbook correctly.
    IpodTouch (2G, fw2.2.1), Remote.app (1.2.1), Macbook alu (10.5.6), Itunes (8.1.1).
Ipod and Macbook are on the same Wifi network, the firewall is set to let Itunes (and keynotes from iwork09) pass thru.
I can see the iPod appearing in Itunes (and keynotes), both will ask me the passcode, I enter the numbers and nothing more happens.
iTunes asks for them again, keynotes says the ipod is not responding.
What else should I lookk for to solve this problem ?
    Thanks

Try setting your firewall on your MacBook to Allow all Incoming Connections. Do this at least long enough to see if that will allow you to connect. You can also use the Set Access for specific services and applications setting.
These two articles discuss ways to troubleshoot the apps:
    Remote: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1741
Keynote Remote (from the manual) Using Keynote Remote
If you have an iPhone or iPod touch, you can purchase and download the Keynote
Remote application from the App Store and use it to control your slideshow. After
you’ve purchased the Keynote Remote application, you must link it to your computer
before you can use it. To do this, your iPhone or iPod touch and computer must be on
    the same Wi-Fi network.
You must open the Keynote slideshow document on your computer before you can
begin to control it using the Keynote Remote.
    To link your Keynote Remote:
1 Open Keynote on your computer and choose Keynote > Preferences.
2 Click Remote in the Preferences window and select “Enable iPhone and iPod touch
    Remotes.”
3 Click the Keynote Remote application icon on your iPhone or iPod touch.
4 On your iPhone or iPod touch, create a link to Keynote, following the instructions on
    the device.
    A passcode appears.
5 In Keynote, click the link button next to the remote device that you want to pair with,
and type the passcode into the window that opens in Keynote.
    6 Close Keynote preferences.
I would get the iTunes app working first and then work on the Keynote remote. It is probably the same basic problem effecting both.

  • I am having ongoing connection problems with the Clash of Clans app which means that I lose battles, resources or boost times. This results in a loss of gems which I have purchased but will not be refunded as they will not accept responsibility.

Whilst playing Clash of Clans I will continually lose the internet connection. This means that I lose battles, resources, gold etc and lose boost times. I have informed Supercell who blame my internet connection even though the iPhone, laptop and TV all work fine so it is obviously a technical problem with their game and probably something to do with their last updates.
As I have purchased gems I feel that I should be compensated for my loss but they will not accept responsibility nor investigate the technical issue. The loss of connection occurs constantly with the game often freezing during replays or searching for battles. This is obviously not a connection issue.
What suggestions do you have to resolve this situation?

    Hi.
Thanks for the reply. I asked because I also wanted to see if others had encountered the same problem.
I have no problems with my internet connection as I run my TV, laptop and iPhone off the same connection with no problems. I believe that since the recent updates to the game this has caused the problem. The game often freezes, cancels out or returns me to the main game screen during battles or replays.
What I want to know is how do I get the game designers or owners to acknowledge my problem as at this time they keep telling me it is my internet that is a problem and not their game. How do they know this when they refuse to investigate. What can I do and who do I go to for support if they won't accept responsibility?
I am very grateful to you for replying but concerned that if this can happen to me then how many other gamers are losing out and paying for something that they are not going to receive.
    Many thanks.

  • Crystal Reports XI connection problems - after updating to SQL Server 2008

    Hello!
We have some ASP.NET 2.0 Applications that call some CR XI report files with parameters to generate PDF Files. After upgrading from SQL Server 2005 to 2008 the apps hang when trying to generate the PDFs. Some research with Fiddler showed that ever time a 401 Error is raised. Calling the reports directly from CR Designer with the same connection values and Parameter shows the appropriate data that means the log-in data iare functioning.
I already tried switching the data source driver from OLE DB to SQL Native - no effect!
Can it be that CR XI does not work with SQL Server 2008? Or is there an update for CR XI and SQL Server 2008?
Because we are in a hurry I hope somebody can solve my problem(s) ...?!
    Thanks in advance,
    Frank

    Hi Frank,
No CR XI is not supported nor is any version completely at this time. What we've found issues in so far are the Time(7) time is returned as a string value and Stored Procedure Data/time parameter SQL creation. The Time(7) field is an OLE DB driver issue with Microsoft but the Date/time SP issue is our issue and it's currently tracked and escalated. It will be fixed for CR 2008 with SP3 I believe. And I've asked that the same fix be rolled back to CR XI R2 but waiting on the reply from R&D if it can be done.
What you need to do is download the trial version of CR XI R2 ( Release 2 ) and then use your XI Keycode to install it and it will work. Then update to the latest SP 5 Service Pack. XI is past it's end of life support which means there will be no updates or bug fixes any more.
Next, MS SQL Server 2008 does not work with the MDAC version of the Native drivers, you must install the MS SQL Server Client. You'll see the driver name is "MS SQL Server Native client 10". This is the one you need to use.
Another work around is to use ODBC, it seems to resolve all issues, but the client must be installed.
    Thank you
    Don

  • WiFi Internet connectivity problems after upgrade to 10.8.4

After upgrading to MacOS 10.8.4 I am facing regular interruptions to my WiFi internet connectivity. Periodically the internet connectivity is lost and the only way to fix the problem is to turn WiFi off and on again. This happens frequently when I am downloading files at using big bandwidth (more than 1.5-2 MB/s). If I use assist me on the Network preferences tab, it displays an ISP error when the connectivity is down, however I am certain that I do nota have any kind of ISP or router issue since at the same time I have WiFi internet connectivity from my iPad mini, iPhone 4S and Samsung Galaxy S3. Therefore it should be a 10.8.4 issue

  • Local Network Connection Problem with SQL Server 2008 R2

    Hi,
I have CRM application which uses SQL server 2008. Weird thing is that I have no problems connecting from client machines to the server when using a particular router (via LAN) and when I upgrade the firmware of the same router (A common open source firmware
which is used by many also works perfect apart from mentioned problem) and restart the server, the connection cannot be established. I get Error 40.
When i downgrade the firmware and restart the server, the connection works again.
Please note that I am absolutely not touching any configuration of the server. Also the CRM software allows remote connections from public IPs which this feature works fine with both downgraded and upgraded firmwares.
As for my understanding, the routers do not block ports in LAN connections. So how can I diagnose the reason for this connection problem?

    Hi Leony83,
Please also help to check Windows Event Log information regarding this issue, so that we can do further investigation. In additin, here is the general steps to troubleshoot SQL Server Error 40 issue. Please see:

  • Yet another Music Store Connection Problem

First time iPod/iTunes user. Just Installed iTunes 5.0.1.4.
I Get The Error Message: iTunes could not connect to the music store. The network connection Timed Out.
I tried many of the suggestions that were posted to no avail.
Whatever iTunes is doing it seems to be pretty anti-social when it comes to network I/O. I noticed that when I operate iTunes, IE couldn't see any web sites. So I stopped iTunes, opened a command window and started the command "ping yahoo.com -t". It responded normally and uneventfully. But once I restarted iTunes, the ping results started timing out. I get the same result when I ping my router instead.
    Any Ideas ???

Well.... This has been a hot topic in these forums for a long time. I had this problem for at least 6 months without a resolution. The answers usually involve turning off a software firewall like the new Windows XP security center or Norton firewall. Believe me when I tell you I tried everything to fix this including turning off all firewalls. I eventually was able to find a copy of Itunes 4.7 and have been using that successfully (being able to connect to the music store).
I solved all my connection problems yesterday. I started up my disabled Zone Alarm Firewall program. I went to the allowed to pass through program list and clicked allow for all the programs that connect. Now every thing works great and I was able to install the latest Itunes for windows & connect to the store. The Zone alarm is running as well as the windows security center firewall. I think the Zone Alarm has opened up communication ports that the window security won't. I know many of you will think that I am an idiot. Maybe I am but I got the darn thing working. My belief is that this is not an Apple malfunction. I take back all my curses at them.

  • IPOD CONNECTIVITY PROBLEM WITH WINDOWS XP VIA USB 2.0

    Enough is enough.
I have an ipod touch and I am having difficulty connecting it to my pc via usb 2.0.
I have searched the entire web and came across many cases similar or the same as mine. It's time for apple to face the fact that there is something wrong with either the apple mobile service or the apple usb drivers or the itunes software that causes connectivity problems with win xp.
For the record my case is this:
I got my itouch 3 days ago. I installed itunes 8.0. Then I plugged in my ipod to a usb extension cable port connected to a usb at the back of my desktop computer. At first I got the "this usb device can perform faster if you plug it to a usb 2.0 port etc." message. So I did. I removed the extension cable and connected it directly to one of the usb ports at the back. The first time it synchronized, it seemed fine. So I decided before I do anything with it, to update it to the 2.1 version. I made my account and bought (very bad policy there apple, it should be free or at least cheeper than 8 euro) the 2.1 update. I clicked to update the i-touch. While it was updating it crashed during the restore process (because it was disconnected but I didn't know that at the time). I unplugged it, resetted and plugged it back and managed to continue the restoring process until it was updated. After figuring out itunes I chose the "manage files manually option", kept everything unchecked in the sync options except the applications. I noticed there were random disconnections here and there but I didn't pay much attention because they weren't very frequent.
The next day I plug in the touch again and suddenly I hear that annoying "connecting-disconnecting" sound from windows while my touch kept disappearing and reappearing in itunes. Suddenly my playlists disappeared from the touch. Nothing was in the touch any more. How could that happen since i had chosen to manage my files manually instead of synchronizing? So I unplugged the touch again, restarted the touch, restarted the pc, stopped and restarted the apple mobile service, unistalled and reinstalled itunes, searched microsoft support and read many usb troubleshooting documents in the web. Nothing happened. The touch randomly keeps disconnecting from the usb. I eventually managed to put my stuff back in and keep them there.
    Here's what I know:
    1) There is nothing wrong with my usb ports. I don't use usb hubs, they are usb 2.0, the voltage (500mA) is correct in the device manager. Everything else works fine there.
    2) The ipod touch does not support disk mode so you can't see it under "my computer" and this is not a problem.
3)There is nothing wrong with the ipod, it works perfectly.
    4) This is not a usb cable physical problem.
    5) The five R's are irrelevant with this situation.
Uninstalling and reinstalling itunes doesn't solve the problem, neither does hard resetting the ipod.
    6) Older PC configurations seem to be more affected by this but it doesn't have to do with unsupported specific chipsets.
    Here's what needs investigating:
    1) There may be a problem with the apple mobile service running on win XP.
    2) There may be a problem with the apple usb driver and win XP or older motherboards.
    3) There may be a 2.1 firmware issue with usb 2.0 connectivity.
Workaround so you don't go nuts:
Use USB 1.1 instead of 2.0. It is A LOT slower but it keeps the connection stable and you can work with the ipod. Just start copying and go do something else for the next hour. So far it works for me.
This is a serious issue that needs immediate attention. I've stumbled across forum discussions dating to 2005 with this problem (with older ipods of course).

I think this needs to be put down to the eternal PC/Mac argument. Apple dont want to fix this as they want everyone to buy a Mac. Its a business, understandable, but in turning away PC buyers they alienate a huge percentage of the market.
Now, I had my first iTouch stolen. It synced, for the most part, very well, just occasionally it removed settings and music, but ticking boxes each time I sync'd sorted that, Its a workflow procedure.
SO, now that my Touch has been replaced, iTunes cannot see it. The PC can identify it on USB1 or USB2, My work lap top can see it and has indeed upgraded it to V2 software, just in case that was the issue, but no. For some really weird reason Itunes on my desktop cannot see the new pod.
This does not make sense with the argument that Apple software doesnt work on a PC, but doesnt help that none of the Apple support staff, phone or in-store have a clue about Windows operations.
Because my Touch has now been trying to connect to 6 separate installs of itunes, multiple USB ports, multiple USB cables, a complete overhaul of the registry settings (everything else still works), and the loss of all my previous settings and backups from the last Touch... but still, the PC says its an ipod but cant install it, iTunes sits there, dumb.
The only thing I can do now is sell the device as brand new as it has never had music on it and is just a week old...
It has changed the MiniMac I was going to have for my new flat screen TV into a PC and suggests that anyone with a PC should stick to devices that run on PC, of which there are many, just without the user interface of the dear departed IPod Touch.
    Thanks
