Same Cookie Prompts Each Time Firefox Starts

I am running Firefox 28.0 on Windows 7 Professional 32-bit. Every time I start Firefox (It crashes frequently) I get the same cookie prompts. On each one the "remember" box is checked. What does this "remember" box signify? If I tell Firefox that I do not want to save a cookie for site X, then I expect that Firefox will remember this, and if I visit the site again, then Firefox will not prompt me to ask if I want to save a cookie for that site.

Do you mean that you use the cookie setting "ask me every time"?
In case you are using "Clear history when Firefox closes":
*do not clear the Cookies
*do not clear the Site Preferences
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history": [X] "Clear history when Firefox closes" > Settings

Note that clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, passwords, and other website specific data.
Clearing cookies will remove all specified (selected) cookies including cookies with an allow exception that you would like to keep.
There are other things that need your attention.
Note that your System Details List shows multiple Flash plugins.

Addblock Pluse must be disabled/enabled each time firefox starts-won't start automatically

Each time I start firefox I have to disable/enable the addblock plus add on. In the extensions it indicates that it is enabled, but it is inoperative until I disable and then enable it again.

Still no help on making Add Block Plus start automatically when firefox is opened. In the add ons section it shows that it is enabled, but it is not working. By disabling and enabling the add on becomes operational.

Error Console opens each time Firefox starts using latest stable version.

I open Firefox, it opens and it's Error Console opens. There are a history of information messages, warnings, and errors showing. Why is this happening?

Some mouse gesture extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) have been reported to cause that to happen.

Welcome page opens each time I start Firefox, my homepage opens in separate window. I uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled and it continues to happen. Homepage is set to google and is present when I go to the general tab.

Some cookie settings lost each time Firefox closes

Hi there,
Some of my Cookie settings are lost each time Firefox restarts. These specifically relate to web addresses I have entered as Exceptions to the Cookie settings in the Privacy settings tab. I will find that they have been deleted and will have to re-enter them each time. This is annoying if you want to use certain websites that require third-party cookies but you also want to maintain a high privacy level. For example, when using Feedly. Additionally, sometimes my Persona is disabled when Firefox is restarted and I have to re-enable it manually. This problem is sporadic.
I have a number of add-ons installed but this problem is very recent and these add-ons have not proved a problem before. Anyone else with the same problem? Is it a bug or a setting I can fix? Please help.

Do not use [[Clear Recent History]] to clear the "Cookies" and the "Site Preferences"

How can I set Firefox to open a new page each time it starts

I need to be able to start automatically a new page when Firefox start. I have my home page setup but I'd like to start a new url in a new window each time Firefox is started.

My latest two extension updates constantly show up as tabs each time I start FireFox. Where should I look to make this stop?

WebMail and Xmarks have constantly and consistently shown up as update notification tabs each time I start FireFox. That never used to happen. Is there somewhere I can look to shut off this annoying action. Thanks.

Before Firefox 4, each time I started the computer, it would load the windows I still had open when I closed down the night before. This has disappeared. Can I restore this?

Each time I start iTunes on one of my computers it prompts me for my password.

Hello all. On one of my computers (a Sony VAIO laptop), each time I start iTunes, the program prompts me for my password to enable automatic downloads. The email address of my account is filled in, but the password field is blank. The other computer (a Gateway desktop) doesn't do this; evidently, the first time I input both email address and password, it saved it successfully and hasn't asked for it again. Both are i7 machines running Windows 7 Home Premium with all updates current. I've done all sorts of troubleshooting and even removed and reinstalled iTunes to no avail. This only appears to have become a problem with the upgrade to 10.5. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Look in the iTunes Store and there will a link that says Purchased, once there you should be able see all purchased made under the Apple ID that you are signed in with and there should be a cloud icon to download those tracks. The article below will assist you further.

I'm using iCloud to synch my calendar to multiple other devices - iMac, iPad and iPhone. Using Maverick on both my iMac and my MacBook Air. To anyone who might read this, I ended up re-installing with the original install disc and was able to get back on to Mac, though I lost all of the previous data that I had not backed up. Unsure still if it will continue to let me access the HDD in this, but it kind of confirms that installing Lion probably put too much stress on the computer this last year.

How do I have App Tabs open on the 'original page' (i.e. not the last navigated to page') each time Firefox is closed and re-opened?

Make sure that you allow Firefox in your security software (firewall).
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Try a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder before reinstalling a fresh copy of Firefox.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

Uninstall your current Firefox version, if possible, to cleanup the Windows registry and settings in security software.

I have to enter login information and "secret phrase" for Sync every time Firefox starts up. Sync tells me I am using a new computer, which isn't the case. This is the same computer I set up Sync with.
What am I/is Sync doing wrong?

Does everyone using the computer have their own user profile?
Check the history settings. Is it set to remove cookies?

An irritating alert each time I start GarageBand '11

Are you seeing the same? All of a sudden the updater is prompting me to update to GarageBand 10.0, each time I start GarageBand '11. Totally unnecessary, since GarageBand 10.0.2 is already installed and working. Even the option "Don't tell me about GarageBand 10.0 again" does not stop the nagging
