Same cover for 2 differents sigle..

Hi,
I'm using iTunes 9.0.3 on Windows XP SP3.
I have 2 different singles with their own coverage, but iTunes display the same coverage.
How do I view their own coverage?
Surely with the sorting options but I can not ^ ^

Create Same Variable for 2 differents queries

Hi guru's,
I try to create one same variable in query designer for differents queries whiche have not the same field. I explain:
For example, I have one of my query based on a ODS which has a field called EAN but its technical name is RIS_R1007_F57 and I have another query based on another ODS which has also a field called EAN with the following techincal name RIS_EANMD_F1.
I would like to create a report with 2 tables and each query inside with in the variable screen, a variable which seeks in the both tables.
Anyone has an idea?

Hi.
What I understand, is that you have something called EAN and this is stored in two ODS. In each ODS a DIFFERENT characteristic is used to store the EAN info.
Thus, technically, you got two completely unrelated fields. The fact that they both contain the data for the same "thing" (the EAN), is something you can "tell the system" by creating a characteristic, let's say tech name ZEAN with description "EAN" and then load the values from both char's (RIS_R1007_F57 & RIS_EANMD_F1) into this new char (ZEAN).
You could do this in different ways, but one way to do this, is to add the ZEAN to BOTH ODS and then in the load to each of the ODS, map the RIS_R1007_F57 to ZEAN and the RIS_EANMD_F1 to ZEAN.
Now you can create two queries, query 1 on the data from ODS1, where you have RIS_R1007_F57 and ZEAN, and query2 on ODS2, where you have RIS_EANMD_F1 and ZEAN.
In query1, you use ZEAN to make your restriction/selection, so create a variable on the ZEAN infoobject, ZVAR_1. When you are done, create query2 on the other dataset. Use ZEAN to make your restriction/selection AGAIN. You will find in the variables section the variable ZVAR_1 which you created before. Use it again and finish query2.
Put both queries in a workbook, maybe on different sheets depending on what you need. Then, set the workbook properties to show the same variable in different queries only once.
That should work.

Retirement whit same values for differente ledgers

Hi expert,
Here we have a few depreciation areas and a coupe of this area have different ledgers. When we run the transaction for retire an asset the value of leading ledger is moved to all others ledger. Is this a program error? I asked this because this problem not occurs when I run AFAB, for this case the program respect the different ledgers and post different values.
How can I fix this problem with retirement?

Hi Paul,
thanks for your answer. But my issue is not with acquisition postings as I have the same posting for acquisitions in both the ledger but in case of retirement, my Profit and Loss on sale of asset should be different in both the ledgers(as the depreciation keys are different in both the ledgers/dep areas) which is not happening.
I tried ASKB, but i guess that is for acquisition posting.
Please let me know how retirement posting can be handled as in depreciation area setting retirement related posting is not mentioned.

Plz Help! I have 2 of the same covers for 1 album

I just bought the new ipod touch today, and i have spent so much time inbetween school and basketball to organize it perfectly. Everything is good, except the albums. For example i have T.i's new album "Paper Trail". So I get one picture for the album art and paste it into all the album art sections in info. And for some reason Itunes divides the album into to. All the song's where T.i sings alone is one album. it does this for all my albums. any song featuring someone goes onto its own album.. and the songs that do not feature anyone have their own. how do i combine these into 1 so cover flow is better. please help .. it does this for artist too

I haven't actually had a chance to experiment with the iPod Touch or iPhone but I suspect they behave in much the same way as the iPod Classic, my experiences of which form the basis for the advice below.
*HowTo: Grouping Tracks Into Albums*
Excuse the long post, but hopefully covering all the bases (that I can think of) will help you fix the other issues you are likely to run into as you try to organise your iTunes library.
*Use an album friendly view*
iTunes will let you sort music on many columns, some of which are unlikely to group albums together. The most useful order for editing the library is probably *Album by Artist*. If you're not already there, select the list view and click on the column heading for Artist until it reads Album by Artist.
*One cover, too many tracks*
The iPod (and iTunes to a lesser extent) conflates two or more albums with the same title, most obviously with *Greatest Hits*. On the iPod this can result in one album acting as a combination of two or more. Selecting any cover gives all the tracks of all albums with the same title. The workaround for this "Greatest Hits" bug is to give each album a unique title - I tend to go for *Album - Album Artist* as this reads clearly in the iTunes browser. Alternatively you could use the wording as it appears on the cover or append different numbers of spaces for each different album. Somewhat oddly, setting different values for Sort Album doesn't work.
*Album not with others by same artist*
iTunes relies on the Gracenote CDDB database when identifying CD's. This often marks collections or anthologies of an artist's work as a compilation. In iTunes, however, the compilation flag has the logical function of grouping together tracks with the same album name, but different artists on each track, e.g. "Now That's What I Call Metal 666!". These compilations are then all grouped together at the end of cover flow. Most of us however, would expect "Greatest Hits" albums to be listed with the other albums by the same album artist. For albums which are essentially by a single album artist or group it is best to set the appropriate value for the album artist and clear the compilation flag.
*One album, too many covers*
Sadly the iPod ignores the Album Artist field when grouping albums which causes problems when some tracks list guest artists. You can simply mark the entire album as a compilation which seems to be the way iTMS handles it, however that's not an ideal fix. Short of waiting for Apple to address this issue (and as far as I can tell it goes back to the 1st gen. of iPods) we need a workaround. What I do is to put any additional artist info. in square brackets after the song name. E.g. *Track \[Feat. Guest\]* and then set *Artist=Album Artist* for each track. For anthologies where the Album Artist is credited as part of another group, e.g. for Cream tracks on an Eric Clapton anthology, I use *Track \[As Group\]*. For a track where the main Album Artist doesn't receive a credit, e.g. the first track of the Slim Shady LP credited to Jeff Bass, I just set the track name to *Track \[Guest\]* while still setting the artist to the album artist. N.b. I use square brackets to indicate this is not part of the actual song title and also use this style for Mix/Live/Bonus info.
*One album, still too many covers*
iTunes may split albums into two or more sections if some tracks from the album have different values for Artist, Album Artist, Album, No. of Discs or Part of a Compilation. Tiny differences such as trailing spaces, accented characters or variants of symbols can sometimes be quite hard to spot. The iPod is also more sensitive to case variations and may split or reorder an album that looks okay in iTunes. Normally overtyping the desired value for each shared field will complete the grouping of the album into one entity. Occasionally, however, this method seems to fail. When this happens I've found that you can force every field to update properly by adding some extra text - e.g. a trailing X, which once applied seems to complete the joining of the tracks into one album. Once this has happened the extra data can be removed and the album should remain properly grouped.
*Tried that, there are STILL too many covers!*
The Sort Artist, Sort Album & Sort Album Artist fields can be used to override the normal sort order. For example iTunes automatically drops leading prepositions (a/an/the) so "The Beatles" are arranged under "B" instead of "T". Occasionally different tracks from the same album can have different values in these sort fields which can also break up the grouping. Making the sort columns visible in iTunes can help with spotting & correcting such problems.
*One cover for multi-disc album*
Multi-disc albums are often listed as *Album (CD1)* for CD 1, *Album (CD2)* for CD 2 etc. To display these properly using just one cover, each disc should have the correct *Disc X of Y* values set, and then the entire album should be given the single title Album. Being somewhat obsessive I also renumber the tracks sequentially, working backwards from the last track (so that no two tracks ever have the same number) until I reach disc 1. BTW You can still give the individual discs different artwork should it be relevant so that the correct artwork will be displayed as the album progresses.
*One artist, many names*
With some artists, particularly classical composers, you should be aware of alternative representations of their names. E.g. 2Pac vs. Tupac. The menus will work best if for each artist you standardise on just one form of their name. E.g. make a choice between Mozart, W.A. Mozart or Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and then apply it consistently. For classical music I tend also to use the Composer as the Artist & Album Artist and either discard the performer details or place these into the Comments field.

Since no difference between first and sec gen. Of pad's screen , length and width sizes, i want to get a ipad 2 smart cover for my original ipad 1 , possible ? .. It should

The display size and resolution are the same, the iPads themselves are not exactly the same dimension. Also, the new iPad has magnets inside of it help the smart cover attach itself to the new model.
You would be wasting your money, the Smart Cover is for the iPad 2 only.

Do you have Sidebar ON?
iTunes > View > Show Sidebar.
Connect and select iPhone in iTunes Sidebar under DEVICES, choose the Music tab on the right, select Sync Music and whatever music you the on iPhone. Click Apply (bottom right)

My iPod won't charge on a wall charger, only on the computer. I used the same cord for both though. I used to be able to charge it with a wall charger, but now suddenly I can't. I've even used other wall pieces. Nothing seems to work.

My iPod will no longer charge with a wall charger, only the computer. I know it's not becuase of the wall piece or my cord, since I also use the same cord for computer charging, and the wall piece seems to work with others devices. It worked a couple of weeks ago, then suddenly quit. I think it may be something to do with the inside of my iPod where the charger goes. I find it really inconvient to always have to use the computer to charge my iPod. I believe I have a three year warrenty on my iPod, but I wouldn't think it would cover this problem. Is there anything I can do to fix it?

For what it's worth, you posted this in 2011, and here in 2014 I am still having this same issue. Over the last two days, I have had to unlock my apple account 8 times. I didn't get any new devices. I haven't initiated a password reset. I didn't forget my password. I set up two factor authentication and have been able to do the unlocking with the key and using a code sent to one of my devices.
That all works.
It's this having to unlock my account every time I go to use any of my devices. And I have many: iMac, iPad, iPad2, iPad mini, iPhone 5s, iPod touch (daughter), and my old iPhone 4 being used as an ipod touch now. They are all synced, and all was working just fine.
I have initiated an incident with Apple (again) but I know they are just going to suggest I change my Apple ID. It's a simple one, and one that I am sure others think is theirs. I don't want to change it. I shouldn't have to. Apple should be able to tell me who is trying to use it, or at least from where.

How do i create a bleed wrap cover for a book?

I have a book I created in adobe framemaker 8.0, it is a 250 page manual, 7.5 x 9. I am now due to send it to the commercial printer and they want me to send a cover for a 'Perfect Bound' type binding.
Should I be using FM to do the cover or am I better off with a different adobe program?
If I use FM, do you have any advice in regard to book covers of this type?
Should the cover width be double the page width (18in) so that it can wrap around?
Any help you may provide is greatly appreciated.

Along with what Arnis said, I'll add that you may be able to submit a PDF to a printer that is the same page size as the body pages, with separate pages for the front and back. A printshop should be able to impose the cover for you and in doing so, automatically account for the thickness of the book. I believe it is standard for a printshop to have this kind of software.
In general, I agree that FM is an adequate choice for this project, as long as it has sufficient typography and graphics controls that match your requirements. Most likely it does, but if you need highly-advanced layout tools, you might have to consider InDesign.

Want to buy a case/cover for my macbook

i have a refurbished macbook, bought in november 2009 (from the online apple store) that i want to buy a case/cover for. The problem is everywhere i look, the cases are designed for the aluminum or macbook pro, and one seller on ebay that has the same cases available from the apple store, states that it doesn't fit the black or white versions, only aluminum and pro. Does anyone know who/where might make/sell cases for this version? Seems odd that even the apple site doesn't have them.

How to force SQL*Loader to assign the same SYSDATE for all rows?

I want to use SQL*Loader to load some rows and a "SYSDATE" generated column, but making sure this date is THE SAME for all rows. I have seen that if I load HUNDREDS of rows there is a little difference between them (in terms of seconds). I guess it is "the moment each row entered the DB", but I need the same value for all rows (preferably, "the moment SQL*Loader was launched"). Is there any way to achieve this?

Given some thought, using a date value to identify all records from a single load isn't very wise.
Are you able to create a procedure on the database that could be executed during SQL*Loader's execution? If so, you could develop the procedure to take in the record number of the row being loaded as an input parameter and output this unique date value for all rows loaded. The procedure would need to store the date value in a table when the first row is being loaded and return the stored date value as its output. This obviously assumes that only one sqlldr session is running at any time.
I highly recommend using a numeric sequence in the control file instead of a date to identify each file load:
, file_load_seq SEQUENCE(MAX, 1)
Another approach would be to load the record number being loaded in addition to the sysdate:
, record_number RECNUM

Cover for Dock Connector

I just received a new Nano. Is there supposed to be some kind of cover for the dock connector? My previous Ipod had a plastic cover that fit into the dock connector. Thanks for any information.

Apple haven't included the little white piece that clipped into the dock connector (to prevent the ingress of dirt etc when the iPod is not in use) for a long while now.
The white universal dock adaptor included with iPods now is not the same thing.

Same dates for GA and GR in ATP

This is my very first post. I have a situation where for an Inbound delivery. I should have 2 days difference in Goods arrival and goods receipt in plant. For some reason system is showing the same dates for Goods arrival and goods Receipt. Can someone help me what all tolook for?

ATO Items/ Models have significant complex requirements and behavior when ATP check is called. While this is handled appropriately in ATP from OM interface, direct ATP Inquiry either from APS responsibility or similar form in OM--> Scheduling menu option.
I'll highly suggest not to use either of these ATP Inquiry forms for anything related to CTO (ATO, PTO etc) and only use OM UI for such availability checks. This is by design unless Oracle makes significant changes to how these forms are built, please note there is no configurator support from these 2 forms for similar reasons.

Will my iPhone be okay without a cover for a few days?

I thought I read somewhere that it has some kind of cover for the front already, but I can't remember where I saw that. I purchased a screen cover online, but it isn't here yet. Just wondering if I should keep my phone in lockdown or what.

The front glass will be fine without a cover. Just don't put it in the same pocket as your keys or coins - metal things that can scratch it. Normal use won't hurt it though. I have a 3GS, and use it with no screen guard, because of the awesomeness of the oleophobic screen. Not a scratch on it.
