Same Destination for Multiple Clips

Hey Kids...
It should be simple but I seem to be drawing a blank.
I have, for example, 6 clips that I want to convert to Pro Res. Once I have applied the setting, how do I set the same destination, a file on an external drive for example, for all the clips all at once - as opposed to having to set the destination for each clip manually.
I know it can be done...but I appear to be vapor locking on how to do it.
Thanks in advance.
MS

Highlight all the individual encodes, (not the container the encode settings templates are a part of) once highlighted, Right click your mouse, select "Destination" in the popup menu and select the new destination from those listed, or go up to the Target menu and select the "Destination" menu and select other to create a new destination.

  • Applying the same transition between multiple clips

Does any know how to apply the same transition to multiple clips that are all ready in the timeline?  I remember attending an Adobe Premiere Workshop years ago and I'm sure they demonstrated that technique.  It's would be such a time saver.  Perhaps it was a Final Cut Workshop.

Don't you get something like this:
That works perfectly for me. Have you updated to CS4 4.1?

  • Log and Transfer Window: Enter Info for Multiple Clips?

I have just started using the Log & Transfer window after using Log & Capture for years, and it seems like a lot of manual work.
Is there any way to select multiple clips and enter the same information for all of them? For example entering the Name Preset, Reel, Scene, Angle, linking stereo audio channels, etc. I have about 75 clips to transfer and repeating the exact same steps that many times seems unnecessary.
In the Log & Capture window I would just enter the information once, then set which were to auto-increment.

Sorry, it isn't as automatic as Log and Capture. You have to manually enter that information. Hopefully they'll fix that.

  • How do use the same crop for multiple images.

I have a number of images that I want to use the same crop on. Instead of go through the whole slow process for each image is there a way to use the same crop for all of the images?
And in iPhoto there was a way to copy the adjustment settings to multiple images, I can't see how to do that in aperture.

    Use the "Lift&Stamp" tool:
    Crop one image.
Lift the crop using the "Lift" tool.
    Select the other images.
Stamp the crop adjustment to all of them.
But caution: By default "Lift" will copy all Metadata tags and all adjustments, but the gps data. If you only want to transfer the cropping rectangle, deselect all lifted items but the crop adjustment before stamping.

Here i have developed two entities one entity regards: ECC and second one regards SRM system..within this when I run the service it is always taking any of the same alias for both the collections..
    Can you please suggest me..
    Thanks

    Hi Srinivas,
You can add the respective system Alias Name: Like logical system name in your URI also.
    Example:
    /sap/Service Name;mo=ECCCLNT210/zentity1?Customer1='0001'
    /sap/Service Name;mo=SRMCLNT400/zentity2?Customer2='ABCD'
    May this help you.

  • Same JVM for multiple Frames in a web application

    Hi guys,
I have a web application that loads an applet during login. Once the login is completed, the web application will display the available functions accessible with a menu on the left frame and the main display page on the right frame. Whenever any form action is perfomed on the right frame, the jvm with the login session seems to exit (java console closes) and the applet will be loaded to prompt the user to login again. The JRE installed on the Windows client is 1.6.0_14 from SUN.
I'm guessing that the different frames are using different JVMs?
Is there a way to use the same jvm for a web application with multiple frames? I want to prevent the case where the user will have to login again.
    Thanks for any advice!

I have sort of the same problem
[Identical applets in the same JVM, next generation plugin issue|http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5396118]
I have submitted a Request for enhancement to SUN to allow forced grouping of applets in the same JVM.
Sort of the opposite of the "separate_jvm" Applet tag parameter.
It seems there is currently no way to do this.
    [New Plugin command line args|https://jdk6.dev.java.net/plugin2/jnlp/#COMMAND_LINE_ARGS]
When per-applet JVM command-line arguments are specified, it is likely that the new Java Plug-In will need to launch another JVM instance in order to satisfy them. In other words, it is unlikely that a preexisting JVM instance will have been started with the correct set of command-line arguments to satisfy the current applet's request. The rules for exactly when a new JVM instance is launched to start a given applet are deliberately left unspecified, as this functionality is brand new in the 6u10 release and may need to change in subsequent releases. Here is a rough set of guidelines for the sharing and creation of new JVM instances:
    * If the command-line arguments used to start a preexisting JVM instance are a superset of the requested arguments, the preexisting JVM instance will be used.
    * If a JVM instance is launched for the "default" set of command-line arguments (i.e., those specified in the Java Control Panel, with no per-applet arguments specified), then this JVM instance will never be used to launch any applet that has even one per-applet command-line argument.
    * -Xmx is handled specially: if a preexisting JVM instance was started with for example -Xmx256m, and a new applet requests -Xmx128m, then new applet will very likely be run in the preexisting JVM instance. In other words, -Xmx specifications are matched with a greater-than-or-equal test.
There is no way to "name" a JVM instance used to launch a particular applet and "force" subsequent applets into that JVM instance.
See the section on the separate_jvm parameter to isolate a particular applet in its own JVM instance, separate from all other applets.

  • How do you change the volume for multiple clips in one go?

    Hi all,
Im having some trouble with audio. Im posting this in a rush so sorry in advance if its a bit muddled! Im editing snow reports with a journo piece to camera (track one lapel microphone) with overlay (track two nat sound ).
    1. is there a way to only bring in track one only and track two only from the source monitor?
    2. Is it possible to adjust the volume on multiple clips that are on the timeline (so that i can bring down the nat sound for all of the overlay track two)
At the moment im bringing them into the timeline and adjusting them individually. I tried lowering the volume on one clip and saving it as a preset but    it wont let me.
    your help is greatly appreciated
    Paul

Duplicate the audio once editing is done.  In the Mixer window, apply the Fill Left effect to one audio track, and the Fill Right effect to the other.  Then adjust the mixer appropriately.

  • Applying the same effect to multiple clips in a sequence?

I have edited a trailer containing multiple clips in a sequence and I want to add the same amount of sharpen to each clip. Is there a quick way of doing this instead of clicking on each clip seperately and applying the effect, adjusting it and so on....?

If you already have filters applied to the clips, then open the first clip in the Viewer and apply the filter you want - make adjustments as needed. Select all of the other clips in the Timeline that you want to apply the same filter and settings, then drag the filter from the clip in the Viewer to the highlighted clips in the Timeline.

  • Turn Off Effects for Multiple Clips

Is there a way to turn off video and audio effects for mutliple clips all at the same time?

Turn them off?  No.  But you can select a range of clips and delete them.
You can also nest the group of clips, and add the effects to the nested sequence.  That way it's one clip, one effect.  (Of course, this assumes you're using the same effect with the same parameters on all the clips.)

  • How do I use same MDB for multiple Queues? Deployment ?

Here is what I am trying to do
I have written one MDB that I want to use for multiple queues. I have seen posting
mentioning that code a new weblogic-ejb-jar.xml to define other queues as the
              solution.
Is there any other work around?
I want to add queues in future as and when needed. I don't want to modify the
already deployed jar to replace it with new weblogic-ejb-jar.xml everytime I have
to add another queue for the message-driven-bean. Is is possible to use some kind
of reference tag and just put weblogic-ejb-jar.xml in a new jar file and deply
that every time I have a new queue to use for this MDB ( I don't think so, but
              again ???).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry -- that's the only solution for now.

  • Aplying the same filter to multiple clips

Who can I aply a color correction filter to multiple clips, the way I do it is by copying tha filter, with the settings I like and then paste the effect clip by clip. What can I do to make this process faster?
    thanks

The easiest way is to open the clip you have the filter on in the viewer. Make sure the filter is set to numeric view. Then click on the filter name and drag it onto the clip in the timeline you want to apply it to. To do this to multiple clips at once, highlight the clips in the timeline you want, then drag the filter onto any part of the highlighted clips at it will be applied to all of them.

  • How Do I put in the same image for multiple songs on iTunes

    Hi,
I know if I click on the song on "info", I am able to change the album image. Is there a way for me to select multiple songs and do a bulk change with the same image?
    Thanks.

    Yes.
Select multiple songs, get info and paste the artwork.
Or select multiple songs and drag the artwork to the artwork window at the lower left of iTunes.

  • Use same URL for multiple SharePoint sites

    Hi there,
Our requirement is to create multiple web applications in one Farm (which contains 1 Web Front End, 1 Application Server & 1 DB Server) using 80 port of Web Front End which is having single public IP.
There are number of ways of doing this - One way is to create new domain name for each web application (like www.abc.com; www.xyz.com); another way is to create multiple sub domains in a single domain name like www.sub1.abc.com; www.sub2.abc.com, etc.
However our requirement for URL naming convention for these web applications is "www.[Domain Name]/[Client Name]"  (like www.abc.com/client1, www.abc.com/client2, etc)
In SharePoint we can achieve this if we create one Parent site and others as Child site. However we don't want to us this.
So, is their any way where we can form URL of these web applications as "www.[Domain Name]/[Client Name]"
    Regards,
    Adi

Is there a reason for this?  I would think subdomains would be ideal, but just curious on the reasoning.  Also, do they need a full web application, or simply different site collections?  If you just need site collections, and assuming you
don't have a massive number of them, you could use Managed Paths to explicitly allow a site collection immediately under the root url.  Be careful, though, Managed Paths can cause a lot of overhead after you go over 10-15 if you're hardware isn't up for
it (I would assume you wouldn't put 10-15 web apps on the farm anyway, cause that's also not so great).
There really isn't a way to do what you are asking for a full Web Application, only at the site collection level(which should be good from my limited understanding of your scenario)
I am very curious why subdomains wouldn't work, though, as they can all point to the same IP and takes no additional purchasing of domains or anything.

  • Applying the same effect to multiple clips.

I have a piece of video split into parts on the time line. I'm trying to apply 1/ A continuous time code, using "time code generator" and the "viewfinder" effect.
Is there a way of applying these effects at the same settings to all 3 clips at the same time and also making the time code run continuously?
I've noticed when i apply these 2 effects to the individual clips with all the same size settings, they appear different on each clip.
    Any ideas?

If I read your question correctly I would suggest adding the filters to one clip and then copy the clip.
Then highlight the clips you also want those effects on and control-click and select paste attributes and check "filters".
Here's the problem though with you wanting to use continuous timecode. The timecode generator won't deliver what you want if you're cutting and moving clips around the timeline. For that you would want to use Timecode Reader instead
