Same Material MRP planning  in 2 plant

Hi ,
1 Common material which is used in two different plant ( Plant A & Plant B) , In Plant A there is requirement of 10 qty but the stock is 0 , but the quantity is available in the B plant . So how we can consider those stock of  material in MRP run of Plant A . What are the Customization or master data set up requirement for this scenario.
satish

Hi Satish,
Please refer link http://scn.sap.com/thread/1995407 for your query. below is the reply given by Alok in the linked thread.
Dear,
Create a scope of planning in OM0E and assign ur plant there.
Use that scope of planning in "MD01" for run mrp.
Scope of planning is used to run mrp for
1. Several plants
2. One mrp area
3. Multiple mrp areas
4. Combination of plant & mrp area
Hope it will solve ur problem. Revert back.

  • How to create Inpection Lot Z01 & 04 Type for same Material different Plans

I am trying to create an Inspectoin Lot for two different Inspection Types.  One for (Z01) Incoming Inspection via MIGO and the other for (04) GR Inspection for Production via MFBF.  The problem is I have the same Material for two different Inspection Plans.  The Z01 Inspection Type was copies from the 01 Inspection Type only difference is I activated the Multiple Specs feature for Z01.
    1st Plan = Materia Group....BM206014,  Group Counter....1  (GR Incoming Inspectoin Z01 type)
2nd Plan = Material Group....BM206014,   Group Counter....2    (GR Inspection for Production 04 type)
    A)  When I do the (Material Backflush) MFBF for the 04 type, the Inspection Lot gets created OK.  I then can go into QA32 and assign the correct Inspection Plat by clicking the Inspection Lot button.
    B)  When I do the MIGO via the Purchase Order (type Z01), it will not create the Lot if I have the Multiple Specs selected in the QM Material Master MM02.  If, I turn off the Multiple Specs in the QM Material Master and create a new PO and MIGO, it will create the Lot, however, it automatically assigns the lot to the wrong Inspection Plan (2nd Plan see above)  I need to be able to select the plan like I can with the 04 type.
Is their some setting that can be changed in Config or somewhere that acts the same way as example A above?

For case A, create insp plan with usage "1- production" If you have one IP with this usage for given material then system will assign Plan to lot automatically. In your case for second plan update usage as 1.
For case B, system should assign 1st plan make sure for both plan udage is correct. for 1st plan usage should be 5 while 2nd plan usage should be 1. Now if your 1st have status 4 and key date before lot date then system will assign plan auto.
    Thanks!!!

  • How to use Same Inspection plan for Multiple Plants?

    Hello,
When I create a Process Order for material (M1), release and save it for a Plant A then I get the Inspection lot automatically.
Now I have another Plant B that we have created. We would like to use the same Inspection plan that has been created for Plant A and M1
So in the changed mode(QP02) of the Inspection plan for Plant A in the material assignment tab I added the Material M1 and the Plant B. I am assuming this means when I create the Process order for M1 in Plant B then it should use the same Inspection plan.
But when I create the Process Order for M1 for Plant B, release and save it then it does not created the Inspection lot automatically(though I can create Inspection lot manually)
Can you tell me if there is setting that will allow me to create the Inspection lot automatically on saving the Process order which should use the Inspection plan that I just assigned.
And also let me know if there is a better way to handle same Inspection Plan for same material but multiple Plants.
    Thanks
    SAP Fans...

    Dear,
For your message my understanding is that you are not getting Inspection lot created in Plant"B". Inspection lot for a material would get created based on the Inspection Setup for the material master "QM View", so compare the QM for the material in both plants and correct it for Plant "B".
Probably I feel Inspection Setup is not complete for the material in Plant "B" - Generally when extending material by copying referance, in the QM view you need to click the Inspection Setup Button, for the data to be copied...otherwise it does not copy the Inspection setup from the referance plant.

  • MRP planning components at multiple plants

I would like to present a unique scenario, we have a plant and a warehouse both are created as two different plants in SAP.
When we run MPS/MRP at a Finished product (FERT) level at the mfg plant, I would like to
    1) Consume inventory of components (Packaging material - VERP) at the plant first
    2) It should then consume inventory of packing material from warehouse
    3) Only then it must creates a procurement proposal for the remaining qty at the mfg plant.
    4) There shall not be procurement proposals created at a warehouse, all proposals should be directed to the plant.
Most of them would advice to create the warehouse as a storage location within the manufacturing plant but that is not possible due to financial reasons.
    Flood me with ideas.

    Hi Manoj
The standard MRP cannot consider stock in different plants for the same material.
Please observe that this issue has been already discussed on several thread on this forum. Check  for example my answer on the thread below:

  • Multiple PR's generating for same material after MRP

    Hi Guru's,
As per my business scenario, i am creating project with WBSE, Activities and BOM.
By using the reference points, i am transferring the BOM to Project, then executing MRP run.
But after MRP run i found that multiple PR's generated for the same Material.
    Please find my BOM structure
    BOM-->Assembly + raw material
    Assembly is consists of
    Sub-Assembly+ 2 raw materials
    Sub-Assembly consists of
    1 Raw Material.
as per this i should have 4 PR's after MRP but system is generating 8 PR's.
Please tell me where i am doing wrong
    Regards,
    Bhadra

    Hi,
I find the reason why it is creating the multiple PR's for the same component.
It is because of the BOM status. Please find the attached scree shots for the BOM structure and BOM status.
As per my requirement the Planned Orders should be created for "BOM" and "Assembly" and 3 PR's should be generated for Components.
Initially i maintained BOM status as "4" for "BOM" due to that system is exploded the BOM twice i.e., for "BOM" and "Assembly" and generated PR's twice and two planned orders for "BOM" and "Assembly" along with their components.
Now to avoid the duplicates PR generation, i have maintained BOM Status as "5" for "BOM"and run MRP.
This time system is generated 3 PR's and 2 Planned Orders.
As per as PR's is concerned there is no issue. Coming to the Planned Orders there is a issue that, the components are not copied into order which is generated against "BOM" (BOM Status-5) and components are copied into order which is created against "Assembly"(BOM tatus-4)
But as per my requirement, the components should copied in both the orders.
So please tell where is the wrong in this..

  • Excisable and Non Excisable plants for the same customer and same material

    Hi All,
We have a customer who purchases the SAME goods from two different plants, one plant is Excisable and another plant is Non Excisable. So sales area of the customer is same for both the plants. When customer buys from Excisable plant Excise Duties should applicable and when the same customer buys from Non Excisable plant Excise Duties should not be applicable. If I maintain the Excise indicator as 1 in customer's J1ID then Excise Duties are applicable for the customer from wherever he buys the goods.(If he buys the goods from Excisable and Non Excisable plants Excise Duties are flowing).
So, my query is: if the customer buys from non-Excisable plant, Excise Duties should not flow.
So I am planning to create a new sales org for Non Excisable plant, then the sales area of the customer will change.
Is there any other way to over come this issue? Plz guide me.
    Thanx&Regards,
    RAMU

    Dear Ramu
My suggestion is creating a new sales organization is not  required just to fulfill this excise requirement.
Let us assume you have two plants
    -  1000 is excisable and
    -  2000 is non excisable
    for material ABC
Now go to J1ID, select the tab "Material and Chapter ID combination"  and maintain the excise tax indicator for plant 1000 only.
By doing so, while creating sale order, you input the delivering plant and based on the settings you maintained in J1ID, excise duty will be determined in that sale order.
    thanks

  • Material planning from another plant

    Hi,
    Can anyone answer me
I am planning for X in plant P1
There is a material in Plant P2 and the same material added in BOM for X but the material is not maintained in plant P1
    How this can be managed
    shrish

    Hi,
For that u have to create same material in both plants.
If it is in BOM of X, you can use special peocurement key for component, i.e.production in alternate plant, purchasing from alternate plant, etc.
So dependent requirement will be created in another plant for that material.

  • Two Purchase Info Records for Same Material & Plant Combination

    Hi,
2 Purchase Info Records are there for Same Material & Plant for 2 Different Vendors & Net Price is maintained in both Info Records
    1. Material M1 - Plant 1000 - Vendor A - Net Price Rs.4
    2. Material M1 - Plant 2000 - Vendor B - Net Price Rs.3
    Vendor A is Regular Vendor
(Tick as Regular Vendor is his Purchase Info Record)
It is observed that Rs.3 is picked up for Costing Purposes
Requirement is that - Net Price within Pur. Info Record of Regular Vendor i.e Rs. 4 must be picked up always for Costing Puposes.
    Is this possible???
What Logic system uses while picking up the Price in case where there are 2 Pur. Info Records for same Material & Plant???
    Thanks & Regards...

  • Muliple inspection plan for same material and same usage

    Hi,
I need to create multiple inspection plans for same material with same usage.during the inspection lot creation i need to select any one inspection plan.
In standard SAP its not possible.Any user exits available for this..
    Regards,
    S.P.Selvathangam

    Dear Selvathangam Palanisamy ,
My Dear Shayamal is absolutely correct and we are corrently using this SAP facility. You can create 'N' number of inspectio plans for a material and then whenever the inspection lot will created ( Thru a process order or Manual) then you will get the Inspection Lot Status 'CRTD' (Created mode) then you have to select your Inspection Task list manually by two way...
Either go to QA02 and then select it from the list of multiple plans.
Or you can directly go from QA32 ...select your inspection lot row and directly click on the Inspection Lot icon to go directly to the inspection lot window to slect the Task list.
Further there is no need to remove the Automatic Assignment from the QM View of the Material Master as if there is only one task List then system will automatically assign the TASK LIST, if you deselect it then you have to select in every case.
    Thanks

  • PR Item Text Different for same Material in the same Plant.

I have a Query for SAP MM.
    Below is the Scenario:
User raises a PR through SAP for a particular Material (Spare) which belongs to an Equipment.
Let's say in Plant A, we have an Equipment 10001 & it has a sub-Equipment as 1000112 & further it has a spare which belongs to the sub-equipment as 1000001.
Now when the user raises a PR for 1000001 then he wants to automatically populate the information in the Item Detail Text tab  such as:
    Equipment No.: 10001
    Sub-Equipment No.: 1000112
The above text enables the vendor to track & source the correct material.
The problem here is that the same material is being used in the same plant for another equipment also, hence we cant just update the PO text in the Material Master record.
How to map the above in the std SAP system???
Require your help / expert comments.
    Regards,
    Yogesh.

    Hello friend,
i feel that u want to send the material to the supplier of that equipment for sum work,
then it would b better that u maintain the supplier model no. or manufacturing part no. which u can give in the detail.
it would be better to give the manufacturer part no. The manufacturer can more easil track the part by giving the manufacturer part no, rather then giving your own SAP No.
and regarding the SUB-Equipment and its part no. there is no standard functionality.

  • MAterial Resource Planning (MRP)

    Hi,
Can you tell me what is Material Resource Planning (MRP)? How & why is it used in SAP MM?
    Regards,
    Krutika

    hi
    it is Material Requirements Planning
Material Requirements Planning (MRP) enables you to plan material requirements for a manufacturing or procurement process.
MRP calculates gross requirements for the highest Bill of Materials level based on sales orders and independent demands. It calculates gross requirements at the lowest Bill of Materials levels by carrying down net parent demands through the Bill of Materials structure. The dependent levels might have their own independent demands, such as sales orders and forecasts.
The results of the MRP run are recommendations that fulfill gross requirements by taking into consideration the existing stock levels and existing purchase and production orders. The MRP run also takes into account defined planning rules for Order Multiple, Order Interval, and Minimum Order Quantity.
Recommendations are back scheduled by the defined lead time to arrive at the requirement dates for their own components.

  • MRP plans sales orders outside planning horizon

MRP plans Sales order for Finished Goods Outside planning horizon even when using NETPL. Strategy 40 is in use with 3 level BOMs. Planning horizon - 200 day. How could it be prevented?

    Dear,
Please check have you assigned any MRP group to your material masters in MRP1view? Then check the planning horizon maintain in MRP group in OPPR also check same for your plant in OPPQ.
If you define it as 200 days then system will only plan the requirement which falls under 200 days with processing key as NETPL.
If we set planning horizon as 200 days then in the material in which MRP relevant changes happened in last 200 days will only be planned. Planning horizon is the period beyond it, requirements don't generate planned orders
    Please check and revert back.
