Same old question on the European iPod's volume?

Hello everyone! I'm the proud owner of a lovely Black Sixth Generation Classic, 160 GBs, purchased in May/June 2012. I don't have any hardware problems with it, but something that incredibly frustrates me is the volume limit.
It was purchased in Italy, so I'm pretty sure the French volume limit law has its effect in lowering and restricting the limit to 100 dbs. I tried doing the "raising volume with iTunes" thing, and changed by percentages to increase it by 100%, but like someone else said in another thread, (I've done some lurking around here, before starting a discussion) the only thing that does is making sure the volume limit is reached before the bar is full, changing basically nothing.
I'm using iTunes 10.5 and Mac OS X 6 Leopard, but found no third-party software able to help me. All I see is discussions from 2005 or 2008, and most freeware was no longer updated, or only in windows-compatible .exe files that I wasn't able to run.
If there is really no other way of increasing volume of tracks in iTunes, is there a way to do it on the original MP3 file? Sure, it would take me much longer (I have more than 7000 songs in the library), but I wouldn't mind.
For the record, I'm not trying to purposely damage my eardrums, but I'm trying to listen to My Bloody Valentine at a decent volume (for some reason, their 1991 CD mixes are incredibly low... barely audible I'd say). I'm fully aware of the fact that it might be dangerous, and I'm not in a position to neglect it, but come on, it's ridiculous. I used to think it was my headphones (Bose), but then I tried with a friend's iPod Touch and they were just fine.
Any help would be more than appreciated, encouraged, and certainly rewarded with points!:)
Thanks in advance:D

The problem I had was tI could't get to my email on my Ipad it kept asking for the password no matter how many times I changed the password , what did help me was to clear the internet Cache and Cookies , that worked

  • How to get old playlists onto the new ipod

    How do I get playlists from the old computer and ipod to go onto the new ipod.  I would rather use the old ipod to transfer since the computer is really old and ready to crash and slow.  Can I transfer or somehow copy playlists from one ipod to the other.  All the songs are already loaded onto the new ipod classic

    See the second and third entries from the bottom of the table of recovery tools in Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

  • Question about the new iPod Touch 5G?

    When in October will it come out? On the Apple site it says it will come in October. Does that mean October 1st? Also i'm debating in which color to get I might get yellow or blue, do you think the yellow color looks sorta greenish? Many people are saying it looks green a little and I don't see it! But I think the pink looks orange. I saw a test video of the new ipod in the store and the pink looked orange lol. thanks!

    When in October will it come out? On the Apple site it says it will come in October. Does that mean October 1st?
    Unlikely. And only Apple knows.  But when Apple is non-specific on a date, it almost never means the earlest date, and in some cases they have had to add days to the month, as in when the iPhone 1st gen was released it was the 32nd of the month :-)
    Colors are a personal thing.  If you have a store that sells iPod Touchs, then visit the store when they start to display them, and check out the colors in person, as colors on computer screens are rarely "True" colors because most monitors are not calibrated.

  • Same old question  (rows to columns using pl/sql)

    Hi all,
    i am re-posting the same requirement, please do the needful.
    I need a query to convert row value into column delimited by space.
    Dont need any column names just values.
    create table tb_row_2_col (id number,val varchar2(100));
    insert into tb_row_2_col values (1,'col1');
    insert into tb_row_2_col values (1,'col2');
    insert into tb_row_2_col values (1,'col3');
    insert into tb_row_2_col values (2,'col4');
    insert into tb_row_2_col values (2,'col5');
    commit;
    SQL> select * from tb_row_2_col;
    ID VAL
    1 col1
    1 col2
    1 col3
    2 col4
    2 col5
    SQL>
    if i execute a query the output should be like this. Please dont used decode/case.
    need to use loop to do the needful.
    1 col1 col2 col3
    2 col4 col5
    Priya.

    I doubted PL/SQL will be much faster, bjut here it goes:
    declare
        v_id number;
        v_prev_id number;
        v_val varchar2(100);
        v_combined_val varchar2(4000);
        cursor v_cur is select id,val from tb_row_2_col order by id,val;
    begin
        open v_cur;
        fetch v_cur into v_prev_id,v_combined_val;
        loop
          fetch v_cur into v_id,v_val;
          exit when v_cur%notfound;
          if v_id = v_prev_id
            then
              v_combined_val := v_combined_val || ' ' || v_val;
            else
              dbms_output.put_line(rpad(v_prev_id,5) || v_combined_val);
              v_prev_id := v_id;
              v_combined_val := v_val;
          end if;
        end loop;
        dbms_output.put_line(rpad(v_prev_id,5) || v_combined_val);
        close v_cur;
    end;
    1    col1 col2 col3
    2    col4 col5
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
    SQL> SY.

  • I just stepped up from my trusty 4gig generation ipod to an 8gb ipod touch. I have many questions but the most important is how can I get my music from the old one to the new ipod since it took me over a week to download all my CDs onto my last computer

    is anyone here?

    Are these tracks that are on your old iPod still in your iTunes library? If so, just configure them to sync to your iPod Touch.
    Otherwise you'll need to copy everything from the old iPod to your PC and into iTunes first. See this older post from another forum member Zevoneer covering the different methods and software available to assist you with the task of copying content from your iPod back to your PC and into iTunes.

  • Same old question, but a little different I think

    I see that there are many, many questions about how to manage multiple computers and iPhones.  To be honest, the answers leave me a little confused, as I have tried a couple of the suggestions and nothing has helped my specific situation.  So I apologize if I'm being repetitive but please bear with me.
    Until recently we had one desktop with one version of iTunes that had everyone's songs on it (we're a family of 4).  In the last few months everyone has gotten iPhones, and my daughter just got a laptop, and this is where the confusion begins.  Everyone used the main iTunes account to sync up with their devices, then we started creating new accounts and nobody can get what they need anymore.
    It looks like currently all music and apps are on my wife's iTunes account.  The rest of us have some smaller subsets based on what we were authorized to load back onto iTunes (desktop) after loading stuff from my wife's iTunes account.  I think ideally what I would like to be able to do is have four separate iTunes accounts - each accessible from our individual desktop accounts (and my daughter's also from her laptop).  I'd like to be able to take all the songs and apps from the main account & dole them out to who they belong to, then have each of our devices linked to our own iTunes account.  So everything separate, BUT then I'd like to have the ability to share songs or apps between our accounts through directories when we want to.
    Does any of this make sense?  I don't know if our needs are realistic in general, if I need to back everything up and start from scratch, or how I do any of this.  I feel kind of dense that I can't figure this out.  Any help that can be offered would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks!

  • Hey i have a question regarding the apple ipod and return which hopefully--

    could be easily answered.'
    Hey my name is Isaac. I am an earlier buyer of the Ipod got it a week or two into sales. When i got my ipod at first it would freeze way too often. My case is to plead for another one although it wasn't successfull,(apple service) well anyway so my screen is pretty bad right now so, scratches are horrible. the case which the ipod came with didn't work, so it's getting hard for me to watch anything on the video, plus there's a couple of dead pixels. So the problem is do you think they'll send me another one, for retutrn of course
    ps-heard ther tardin in nanos which are scratched so this is a big question,
    thanks so much a reply is greatly appreciated,
    thanks again

    Apple will not replace an IPOD because of scratches. How bad are they?

  • I have a question about the new ipod touch

    I just got a 32GB ipod touch a week and one day ago and now i hear that a new one with more features is coming out. This is'nt fair since the new one has more features but costs $100 less than when i bought mine. Since i bought it recently is there anyways i can return it and get the new one instead? My ipod is still brand new without any scratches at all since i put a case on it as soon as i took it out of the box.

    I purchased a refurbished iPod touch 8g about 10 days ago. I am thinking of sending it back. The question is it really worth the hassle? In Canada the 8g is going to sell for $259. I think I will loose 10% restocking fee plus shipping it back. Thoughts ??
    Is it worth it?
    Should I just upgrade the software and call it a day? Or get the new one.
    Ideas...thoughts...opions???

  • Same old question

    My old laptop constantly crashed, eventually caught a virus and died.  It had my itunes on it which was synched to my ipod touch.  Is there any way I can now back up my ipod to a hard drive and synch to a new itunes to enable IOS upgrades?

    There is no way of syncing it to a hard drive. You have two options, either to sync it to iCloud which i highly recommend or you can back it up to your new iTunes. You can enable iOS updates by going to Settings -> General ->Software Updates.
    Good Luck

  • Sort of off topic, but same old question looking for a new answer

    Ok I'm ready to start a new site. I'm going cheap as it's all coming out of my pocket including hosting. I want to put a video chat room on my site. Is there anyway to capture a webcam in this fashion in director. I've done tons of searching but I can't really find anything. I'm trying to avoid using the flash communication server for three reasons. 1) I already have the director multiuser server that will host up to 1000 users (the room will never be anything close to that big 50 peeps tops) and my web host will support it and install it for me. 2) I can't find anything at a really cheap price. I'm looking at 25 cam users at once... 3) Actionscript is nothing I've every really worked with before, but I could do the lingo programming.
    I have a few questions First of all I read something about putting a flash element on the stage, and that the flash player is what captures the webcam. But I assume that it still needs flash communication sever to upload the video. Is this correct?
    Is there an xtra that will do what I  want?
    I read something about encoding the video to realvideo, but I have no clue how as I've never done anything like that before. Will this work and do you know of a tutorial for this?
    Do you know of a really really cheap flash comm host?
    Really off topic but, I could write the text chat end of it in cold fusion. Is there a known way to easily add the video in this way?
    Does anyone know of a cheap off the shelf video chat room that I can put up on my site and just pay for the bandwidth overage that it uses?
    Thanks for any help any of you could give me.

    There are several 2.4 GHz MacBook pros shipped over several years.
    If this is your Mac (2007 model) scroll down to the memory section and read:
    http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/macbook_pro/stats/macbook-pro-core-2-duo-2 .4-15-santa-rosa-specs.html
    Standard RAM:
    2 GB
    Maximum RAM:
    6 GB*
    Details:
    2 GB installed as two 1 GB modules. No slots free.
    *Apple officially supports a maximum of 4 GB of RAM but third-parties have been able to upgrade the system to 6 GB of RAM using one 2 GB and one 4 GB memory module.
    Site sponsor Other World Computing sells MacBook Pro memory, as well as hard drives, batteries, carrying cases, and accessories.
    ... and that sponsor is not a bad place to get RAM at all. They are experts, and back it up with a "money back if it does not work in your Mac" guarantee.

  • A few general questions about the different iPod Touch models

    What is the difference between the 2nd Generation and the 3rd Generation iPod Touch?
    How often do they release a new generation model?
    Does anyone know yet how the 4th Generation model will compare to the 3rd and 2nd Generation models?
    Thank you.

    What is the difference between the 2nd Generation and the 3rd Generation iPod Touch?
    See:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ipod_touch#Models
    As to when a new model might be released and what it might feature, no one here knows or can say. We'll all just have to wait and see. As Sandra indicated, you can read the various rumor sites, but as to what rumors if any you can believe, your guess will be as good as ours.
    Regards.
