Same PDF on 2 different iPads look different on Adobe Reader

I have an issue with a PDF. Basically, this PDF was sent to 2 different iPads. Now when I open the PDF on one iPad with Adobe Reader, it looks fine, everything is in place. But when I open it with the second iPad with Adobe Reader, the PDF is somehow without a title, and values in a table are not there, literally, the table is there but the values are not. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this? It is important to note that THIS IS NOT A FONT ISSUE, as the creator of the e-mail used Verdana. He used this font on a different document which was again sent to both iPads and everything was ok with this PDF.

I moved this into the iOS forum. Can you please tell me the following:
What version of the  iPad are you trying this with?
Have you verified that the Adobe Reader version is the same on both (go to settings and look at the Adobe Reader settings)?
Are you sure you are using the Adobe Reader on both? (I know, this is a lame question but we do find a lot of people are confused by the fact that many apps present their own PDF View).
We do fix rendering bugs from time to time, so it's possible that the Adobe Reader versions are different and you've encountered a bug that we've fixed in an update. We also have variations in how we render depending on the hardware available to us, so it's possible you've encountered a bug in this variation. There are a number of other possibilities as well, but the answers to 1-3 (1-2 in particular) will help narrow this down.
If you have time and are willing to share the PDF content, there are a couple of other things you can provide that would help us diagnose the issue:
If you could please email the PDF to [email protected] we can do some testing here too.
You could post (or email to [email protected]) screenshots of the problem. You can take a screenshot by hitting the home button and the power button simultaneously on your iPad. This will place a screen capture in your photos and you can email it from there.
Thank you for contacting us!

For Notes, if they are only on your phone I suggest you open them one by one and email them to your self so you have a backup of the text.  You can then go to Settings>iCloud and turn Notes to Off, then back On.  Then try creating a new note and see if it syncs properly to icloud.com and to your Mac.  If so, and if turning it notes off deleted the notes from your phone, you'll have to open each email and copy and paste the text into a new Note.
My own experience with photo stream syncing photos to iPhoto is that it works great.  iPhoto automatically receives new photos from photo stream, and if configured to in iPhoto settings, it also saves a copy of the images to your iPhoto library so they are backed up.

If Adobe Reader or Acrobat is installed, there should be a setting in its preferences such as Display PDF in Browser. I don't use those applications myself, so I can't be more precise. Deselect that setting, if it's selected. Otherwise do as follows.
Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it, the copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):
    /Library/Internet Plug-ins
    In the Finder, select
    Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Paste into the text box that opens (command-V), then press return.
From the folder that opens, remove any items that have "Adobe" or “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari, and test.
The "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can also interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you may need to remove it as well, if it's present. The same goes for a plugin called "iGetter," and perhaps others.
If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
    ~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again.

  • PDFs saved from Safari won't open in Adobe Reader

PDFs saved from Safari won't open in Adobe Reader - damaged file
    iMac late 2009 8Gb 3.06 Intel Core 2 Duo - Safari 6

I encountered the same problem and tried doing what Suzanne did by right clicking the file and saving it to the computer first and then opening it.
And then after double clicking the saved file windows prompted whether I want to open it with the newly installed Adobe reader 9.0 or with Microsoft Word. I chose the Adobe Reader 9.0 and clicked on the check box asking whether we always want to open this type of file using this program.
I managed to open the file and best of all is after that I was able to directly double click on the pdf email attachments to open it.
Seems like that we need to let windows associate the file type with the program first.

Nothing to do with the download; you need to open Adobe Reader once after the install is complete, and accept the EULA.

    Hi Tbeirne,
If you just want to save a pdf opened in Safari to your machine use the save as option from within the Reader plugin window. Just click on any of the buttons highlighted in below screenshots to Save a pdf at any location on your machine.

To summarize the issue, if you had opened an Internet PDF in a browser plug-in, you must use the save feature in the plug-in, not the Safari File > PDF Export, or File > Save As...

  • Non helpful screen announcement - "Before viewing PDF documents in this browser you must launch Adobe Reader and accept end user license agreement then quit and relaunch browser."

I recently updated my Mac operating system and now regularly get the above message whenever I click on website pdf(s).  I have tried to relaunch Adobe Reader - but nothing remotely resembling an end user license agreement ever shows up.  I can find nothing on the Adobe "help" sections that mentions anything about this problem.  Any suggestions?

Tried this any number of times.  I double click on the icon and nothing comes up - there is no lead, no directions, nothing comes up.  I click on page top menu bar and can access legal notice page - but no end user agreement page shows up.  Do I have to delete all Adobe Reader software and start over with a fresh download?

I can't open PDF files, can't open, update, or download Adobe Reader. (I had it until recently.) None of the "helps" seem to help. I can't even open Adobe Reader now.

Ignore the instructions about "edit options", to install Adobe Reader download the installer from http://get.adobe.com/reader/ and run the installer. Alternatively, a direct link for the latest version of Adobe Reader is:
