Same problem on two seperate nokia phones I've had...

Throughout the years I've had 4 separate Nokia phones, and on two of them I have had the same error. When it happened on my old phone, I sent it in twice to be repaired, but they never managed to fix it. I reckon they didn't understand what I meant.
The problem has again arisen on my newest phone, a Nokia N5230.
The problem is that when I'm typing a text message, often the phone will start deleting what I've written, without me prompting it to do so. The entire text is usually deleted, and even when all the text is gone, when I put it up to my ear, i can still hear it ticking - as though it's still deleting, when there's nothing there.
If i try to start typing again, it'll delete that too, so that I have to go out of the program, and start over.
Has anyone else had this error, and how do I fix it?

You can run several AppleTVs in a house concurrently, at least 5, but this requires a reasonable network set up if it is to handle all local traffic concurrently, especially if using other devices to Airplay as it seems your dad is doing now.
Usually works but the local network will be the issue if any, assuming internet connection rates are good.

Here is what you should do turn the device on hold the home button and the power button until the device turn off keep holding and when the device reboots release the power button but hol the home button until it shows the iTunes logo then restore it

Problem connecting two seperate straight line paths. Please help!

Hi there, I'm new to illustrator and have been having a problem connecting two straight line paths. They never seem to line up correctly. Attached is a photo of the problem. I assume this is an easy fix but I can't figure it out myself.

There seems to be two aspects:
One is to get the end points to coincide. You may tick View>Snap Guides, then click one path by the end Anchor Point and drag it to snap (Smart Guides say anchor when you are there).
The other is to get rid of the gap in the stroke(s), You may join the paths into one, dragging across the coinciding Anchor Points with the Direct Selection Tool and Ctrl/Cmd+J, or you may keep the separate paths and change the Cap to Round in the Stroke palette/panel which will give you a rounded outer appearance); I presume the former is what you wish, in which case you may choose between Round and Miter Join.

Photoshop Elements 9 was printing great. I hooked up new Canon Pixma 9000 printer and it worked great for about 20 prints. Spontaneously quit putting an image on the photopaper. Same problem with my Epson Artisan 810, so I assume it's an Elements 9 problem. Seems like it's not transmitting an image to the printer(s), but is sending the command to cycle the paper. I'm using a 4 year old MacBook with OS 10.6, and it worked fine for a long time. Still prints with iPhoto.
Anyone have any suggestions???

My inclination is that it is something in the projects or in the manuals being linked that is the culprit because that is where the consistency lies - projects were created identically and manuals all follow identical formats. The problem typically only occurs after the project has been successfully created and the manual is subsequently updated and I am syncing the manual in RH so I can generate a new AIR file. This is the first time the project has consistently corrupted every time I try to generate the Word document after linking it in RH. This makes little sense to me since it generated fine a couple weeks ago and I did nothing special when I updated it in Word yet when I tried to update it in RH, that is when it originally corrupted. The bottom line is that I cannot 100% trust that any project I run will work the next time. I end up just crossing my fingers and hoping for the best.
My problems seemed to start once I went to RH9 (from RH8) because we had upgraded from MS Office 2003 to the 2010 version and I needed 9 for the docx extension. Like I said, it is not all the time - I can be beating my head against the wall getting one of the projects to work, then create 3 more projects that have no problems and then the next one leaves me wanting to throw my PC through a window....
Deleting the CPD does not corrupt the project, it just removes my default linked document that allows me to circumvent linking the styles individually for that project. Once I have a manual linked and I remove the CPD, it just creates a new one. What I am saying is that if I delete the CPD file, it does not prevent the project from corrupting nor does it make the corrupted project viable again.

What's the problem with T-Mobile nokia phones?

I recently bought a nokia 5300 T-Mobile here in Kenya but then am experiencing problems accessing local networks that is SAFARICOM and CELTEL.I tried consulting and everyone seems to believe that the T-Mobile phones are just like that...have network problems. I understand T-mobile is south African (though not sure. Could somebody out there help me? what do I need to do to help solve the problem?

In addition to the previous answers, the problem with the Seagate HD's involved in the recall is that they have a very high failure rate, to the extent that Apple expanded the recall to cover more computers than it initially did. For example, a user on Macintouch (another online Mac support community that is well worth checking out) reported that his company bought 40 iMacs and 25 of them needed their 1TB Seagate drives replaced.
So if you can, get somebody with access to your computer to backup its HD as soon as possible if you don't already have a full backup.

15" MBP 2.66 8gb will not sleep ever-Same problem on two identical machines

I purchased the new 2010 MBP about a month ago. It never slept for me right from the time I first used it. This includes option-command-eject hot key, power button, closing lid, it will not go to sleep. All attempts result in the machine going into sleep for ~5 seconds and than waking back up.
I brought it into the Applestore and they ordered me a replacement computer. I received that replacement yesterday and after they did a data transfer and I took it home, it was doing THE EXACT SAME THING.
Any ideas?

These things are rarely really hardware related, tomthin. The problem is much more likely to relate to software installed on your computer which is making calls on the HD or the CPU, or to a peripheral attached to it.
Virus checkers, drive and temperature monitoring software, and network activity are common causes.
You can often get a clue by starting up Console (in your utilities folder) and looking at the console , system and kernel logs , esepceially at around the time you are trying to get it to sleep. Sometimes "Activity Monitor" can throw up some clues, too.
If you usually have anything physically connected to the computer at the time the issue occurs you should try disconnecting it, too. You might also try turning off bluetooth and wireless networking before putting it to sleep , to see if this makes any difference.
Is this a computer to which you have "migrated" things over from an earlier Mac using a an earlier version of the OS? If so, it is quite likely that a 'background" utility of some kind simply needs updating for the new computer.

There is no hope if either of the buttons is broken. Time for a new phone. Your phone is 4 generations out of date. Apple will replace it for $149, but it really isn't worth it.

The answer is as John T Smith says - you need to meet minimums. Here lies an interesting thought for the future. When Adobe, as it surely will, decides not to support current operating systems, it will dictate when everyone has to update their computers because we no longer own the software so will in effect be forced to update at least the operating system in order to run the software. This is quite different from previous situation because we could then choose to keep an older version of PS that was indeed compatible with our existing computers. Wait for the outcry when it happens!

I had this same problem about two months ago and someone on here told me what to do. Unfortunately I did not write it down so I don't remember. I've tried, tools-options - advance - general - unchecked use hardware acceleration when available...it did not work. Yahoo main page looks perfect on IE, on Firefox it's a mess. Someone please help.

This is what you can do and it will work. I found the info I had used the last time I had the same problem.
"Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache. Note: This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to. To clear cache and cookies do the following:"
Click the menu button New Fx Menu , choose History, and then Clear Recent History....
Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
From the details list, check Cache and Cookies and uncheck everything else.
Now click the Clear now button.

Absolutely impossible to connect nokia phone in pc...

For me it's now absolutely impossible to connect nokia phone in pc suite mode. Not the first time for problems with PCsuite either. It has been working shaky for a couple of months but now it absolutely refuses connections in PC suite mode. USB connection are never any problem but I cannot sync the phone in this mode unfortunately so it does not help. Have tried all uninstallations and re-installations possible but nothing helps. Only a total re-install of the computer will probably help. WHY is PC suite such a unstable program! I think the concept is great and very nice but the connection part of this program simply have to be improved soon! Or make it possible to sync the data in USB mode to make the everything so much simpler.

This time the problems happen with Windows XP and Nokia 6110N but it has been with all software versions, all Nokia phones I've had.

2630 Bluetooth. Can anyone suggest a step by step instruction "How to" to connect my Nokia 2630 to my PC through Bluetooth. I believe this is the only way to download my Nokia 2630 information.
