And still no fix. This is ridiculous. I have tried everything, changing to high performance, updating drivers, leaving computer unplugged, turning off HDD protection. Nothing works. This is insane, I work a lot with music how am I supposed to do so when I can't even function on my computer? I think all of us with a problem should just organize into one thread and send a petition or large letter to something. In the mean time, has any one person come up with any other solutions that acould potentially work? Thanks.

See if this is applicable to your situation...
If you have the HP Power Assistant/Power Manager installed, uninstall it and either live without (I don't see the real value in this program as W7 has plenty of power settings you can modify), or install an earlier version of the software.

NGTX560 Single Fan Edition, freezing and sound stuttering problems

I've recently just built a new computer,
CPU- i5 2500k,
Motherboard- Gigabyte Z68M-D2H,
Ram- G.Skill Ripjaws 1600mhz 8gb(4X2kit),
PSU- Coolermaster Extreme plus 700W 52A single rail,
GPU- NGTX560 single fan edition, no overclocks whatsoever on anything.
Storage- Seagate 500gb HDD 7200Rpm Sata
OS- Windows 7 64Bit edition.
Display- Monitor is a LG IPS235, 23.5', if it even matters
When I try to play games it starts to lag, and freeze while causing sound stuttering and then completely freezes the whole computer forcing me to reboot the system. Using the 285.62 drivers.
Games for example include Starcraft 2, which when I open used to freeze straight on the loading screen forcing an immediate reboot. I allowed it through my firewall and now I get past the loading screen and can log in, but straight after I log in, sound stuttering occurs and then the whole computer freezes forcing me to reboot. Another game as an example is Killing Floor, I never got past the "Tripwire interactive" loading screen, looked on google for some fixes, after modifying some .ini files for Killing Floor I was able to get into the menu's, went to options and clicked on display to change some of the graphics settings, extreme rips in the image occured, sound stuttering and frozen on the spot. Retried again but this time didn't touch any settings at all, joined a match, the game loaded but as soon as I entered it froze forcing me to reboot. Need help please thanks
Edit: just tried Starcraft 2, made a custom match vs a bot, got into the game for 20 seconds, started mining minerals then it froze again, this time I can hear the audio still playing perfectly while the image is frozen, mouse can move around, keyboard still works. rebooted after observing these features

I haven't tried msi's drivers yet will get to doing that now
I have tried to reinstall SC2 using both the disc provided, and downloading the client from the internet

AIR 2.7.1: Help with sound stuttering problem in IOS!

Hi all,
I need to play audio in the background but unfortunately, it came out unstable:
- On the 1st run after installing, it'll play fine until it loops, that's when the audio goes out completely.
- On subsequent runs, the audio plays and loops but it stutters.
I have scoured the forums and googled but couldn't find much advice other than the audio settings to use:
- MP3 Compression
- 128 kbps Bit Rate
- 44.1 kHz sample rate
The audio file is in the library and I call it up with the Sound object.
Some additional info, I wrote a custom script to loop my sound:
- I have 2 SoundChannels
- I use a Timer to track the audio progress
- When the 1st channel is almost up, I play the 2nd channel; the 'old' channel fades out and stops while the 'new' channel plays and fades in
I'm not sure what else I need to look for but any pointers will be great!

This is strange. I am not able to reproduce the stuttering on the app you shared with the bug, https://bugbase.adobe.com/index.cfm?event=bug&id=2988720, using the AIR 3.
I tried playing audio continuously in foreground, and then after bringing it back up from background. In both the cases, the stuttering doesn't happen anymore. Can you please list the steps to reproduce the problem?

For AIR on iOS, you need to download the Windows/Mac sdk. There is no separate runtime installer on iOS.

I have a problem like the other people's but with a little (big) twist

So my ipod stopped connecting to my pc around two weeks ago. To fix it all I did was restore on another pc. Now, it stopped working again (by stop working I mean when I connect itunes and ipod software freezes). So I try the restore on another pc, and it works. Then, right when my songs were almost all on, itunes stops and says "Cannot load files onto disk. Make sure it exists." Then itunes freezes until i disconnect it. I've tried everything, unconnecting usb stuff from my pc, trying different ports, different cables. The thing even works with my sister's ipod. I've tried resetting while connected, I've tried reinstalling stuff, I've tried putting it into disk mode. I've even tried restoring it on the other pc again, but when I connect it it still freezes. I can't get it to work. And then, today when I tried to restore it on the other pc for the 99999th time, that would freeze too. I have no viruses or anything.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. I've gone through many problems with my ipod, but this one is near impossible.
I have a 20gb ipod with the click wheel and no colour.

I managed to fix it
What you do is make sure it's fully charged, put the ipod into disk mode, (turn hold off on, hold menu and select, wait till apple comes up then hold play and select), connect it to another pc with the latest software, restore it, and then plug it into the pc you regularily use and voila!
Hopefully it works If it doesn't work the first time, don't fret. It ook me a few tried through before it worked.

I got the same problem. The percentage of getting this problem is around 10% of all my dial/receive calls.
The problem usually appears when I receive calls. The phone app will freeze, and I cannot dial or receive calls even I closed the phone app, however, most other apps work properly.
Once this problem happens, I will not be able to turn off the phone by holding sleep button, the only way I can get rid of it is holding sleep and home button at the same time to reset the iphone.

I THINK I might have found out a fix. First, I went in and signed into iMessages, but left Facetime logged out. I then went in Settings and turned off FaceTime altoghter. Afterwards I went to ensure iMessages was still signed in (Paranoia perhaps lol). Then I went back in and re-enabled FaceTime. The information was inserted back in, but Caller ID for Facetime was unchecked, so I selected my email address instead of phone. And both have oddly been working fine and stayed signed in since. No password requests at all.
I have zero clue why this works, but it does. I only figured it out thanks to obcessive behavoir and inablilty to accept it was broken lol. Anyone else with the issue want to confirm if it works for them as well?

I have this problem too, but it is intermittent. Sometimes the lock/unlock volume will drop to barely-audible, even though in settings the volume slider hasn't changed. If I then move the volume slider, it fixes the problem and the lock sounds jump back to normal, but then later on the problem will happen again.

3G service issues, no text sounds, hear other people's conversations, etc..

I'm having some issues with my new iPhone 3G... I wasn't having any of these issues with my old original iPhone... any thoughts?
3G reception... I live in downtown Denver. I've checked the coverage maps at AT&T's website, and I should have full 3G coverage in my area. I don't. In fact, if I have 3G turned on, I have no service at all... it actually says "no service" and I can make or receive no calls whatsoever. The Genius Bar at the Apple Store replaced the phone last week. This fixed nothing. They had no other answers and said they'd never heard of this issue before. My sister has AT&T with a Palm Treo and she lives on the same block as me. She gets fantastic 3G reception. My roommate has AT&T with an LG VU and gets great 3G reception as well.
Next problem... my phone doesn't make sound when I receive text messages. Apple support over the phone said to do a hard reset. So I did... and the sound works for a few hours... and then stops. The Genius Bar told me to do a restore on iTunes... so I did... and this seemed to fix the problem for a day, and then the problem came back. I did another hard reset, which again fixed the problem for a short while, but then the sound quit working again. This problem has been persistent on both my original iPhone 3G and the replacement 3G from last week.
Next... Two or three times a week I can hear other peoples phone conversations when I'm trying to have my own conversation, so I have to hang up and try the call again. And it's not like it's very faint... it's like they're right on the phone with me, but they can't hear me or the person I'm on the phone with. I've never had this problem with any other phone before. Both iPhone 3G's (my original 3G I bought a few weeks ago and the replacement from the Genius Bar last week) have this problem.
This next one is probably not so much a problem with the phone as with iTunes... every time I plug my phone into my computer to sync, it takes a minimum of 45 minutes to backup. I usually just end up canceling the backup because I don't have time to wait around. This is incredibly inconvenient... I don't understand why it takes this long. I have an iBook G4 and I'm running Mac OS X 10.5.4. I have the most current version of iTunes.
Quite often when I push the home button to try and do anything with my phone, the screen flashes and then goes blank. When I try to wake it again, the screen stays blank and the phone is completely unresponsive. I have to hold down the power button until the screen comes on with the option to turn off the phone to get the phone to respond. Both my original 3G and the replacement 3G have this problem as well.

Unfortunately, most of my advice is in the "hindsight is 20-20" category.
First off, I would never have purchased the peripheral accessories until the 14 day return period had expired. Second, you learned the hard way what the "14 days" really means.
Too bad you didn't do any homework, reading this and other forums and tech sites. Even word of mouth from others. That, more than anything could have steered you towards different phone choices from the get-go and I will leave that there with no further comment other than to say most of the issues you described have been discussed in this forum, ad nauseam.
Once you got into the refurbished phone exchanges, that is where things really went haywire. What someone tells you over the phone is a sketchy proposition, and when it comes down to it, it's your word against theirs.
I think Verizon tried to make it right, though. Remember, they don't make the phones. Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater.
You stated yourself you were a satisfied Verizon customer before this. Had the first two phones performed as they should, you would still be a satisfied Verizon customer.
Doubt any of that will make you any happier, but after you went through the effort of writing such a long post, I thought I'd try.

KT4 Ultra Sound still stuttering for a lot of people... Any Progress?

I've searched the forums, updated, rebuilt, reupdated, replaced, blah, blah, blah.... as have a lot of KT4 Ultra owners... but still the sound stutters like a Dragon 64.
Does anyone know if MSI have even bothered to look at this problem? Has anyone "who's actually experienced the problem" actually got a fix?
I bought the MSI for it's power and it's sound. The powers great, the sound.... I rely on my daughters old Dell Celeron 400 to provide.
Thanks to everyone who've suggested ideas, but shouldn't MSI be addressing this problem? At what stage can I go back to my motherboard supplier and tell them it's crap and ask for a Gigabyte?

My first post about this subject was Jan 24th under Yorkshiretaff. I've been scanning the forums and web for a fix since buying the MSI MB & vid card for a fix since december.
My system comprises the following...

>XP Pro SP1+ (all up to date)
>All MSI drivers up to date (except recommended beta graffics driver not installed)

>MSI utilities running - PC Alert, MSI Monitor

All patches have been applied sequentially with full testing between each application. Bear in mind I run and support a 300 PC/23 server call centre on my own for my job.
I think thats about it for specs. The PC was put together to mainly be used as an office PC with a bit of power for processing avi's and playing MP3's decently and to support a digital camera. Apart from the sound the KT4 has performed really well. I get avi's locking the PC up, but I can trace this again to the sound problem. I have no other software or hardware issues at all. The fault occurs with just a base XP build on.
In previous posts about the sound stutter people have mentioned various bios settings which, after updating the bios 1.3 last night I'm going to start trying all over again (1.2 testing finished). Could you recommend a set of BIOS settings page by page that I could start with? I always start with the default "safe" and start working my way up. But as the fault occurs under the "safe" setting something else might be an issue.
The sound stutter can occur when the PC is almost at rest just playing MP3's. I've stopped all activity on the PC (antivirus, MSI stuff, zonealarm, fuji camera link, palm link) and the sound still stutters. I've seen recommendations for PCI Latency, PCI busmatering, etc but am unsure of what should be set. It does seem to be a processing issue in that the PC just can't handle it, but with the specs above I don't think it should be an issue.
Regarding my "MSI bashing", I apologise for breaking the forum rules, but it does show the frustration myself and many other MSI KT4 owners are experiencing. Paying for, and building a good machine for Multimedia or gaming use should be an easy thing to do with todays kit. Without good sound a PC is no good for either use.

Thank you so much for your response. I see your helping a lot of people. Thats so cool. Before I try to anwser the Questions, I can get the webcam to work with Yahoo Messager without a problem. Now let see if I can get the iChat AV to work.
1) Have you done the Quicktime Streaming setting ?
Go to System Preferences > Quicktime > Streaming tab. In the drop down set the speed to match your download or to a max of 1.5meg

3) Did you upgrade from Panther ?
Do any of these things effect you ?
If they did and you have done them please state so.

b) We need how you have opened the ports for iChat ?
NOT SURE ON THIS, PLEASE EXPLAIN MORE

* Port Forwarding
* Port Triggering
* DMZ
c) We need to know if you know if the device is in Bridge Mode ?
DON'T THINK SO HOW DO I TELL
(sends your Public IP through to your computer or router).
d) Do you have a router as well ?
* Is it doing DHCP ?
YES.
* Is it an Airport device ?
YES. SET TO JOIN BY DEFAULT: AUTOMATIC
* Have you opened the ports there ?
DON'T KNOW HOW
* By which method ? (see above list)
5) Do you have any iChat Add-Ons ?
List them if you have.
Also state if you downloaded them when you were running Panther and if you have updated them.

6) Does anything in this FAQ effect you and the Add-ons in addition to 5) ?

I'M REALLY LOST WHEN IT COMES TO UNDERSTAND ON SETTING UP THE PORT.
I ALSO HAVE A IMAC 17IN FLAT SCREEN, ABOUT 3 YEARS OLD RUNNING OS 10.2.8 I JUST PUT AN AIRPORT EXTEME CARD AND BOTH COMPUTERS IS USING THE AIRPORT EXPRESS. BEFORE I WAS USING THE BUILT-IN ETHERNET.
