SAME VOLUME LEVELS ON IPOD MINI...

Is there in any way transferred music from itunes to ipod be played on the same volume level?..my itunes plays it in all on the same level but when i transfer it ipod it changes...
thanks for any help guys...
:>

The question is how does the iPod Mini play songs at the same volume - in other words how do you avoid having to turn the ipod up and down when playing files back as some songs will be played back louder than others.
iTunes has a facility called 'Soundcheck' which adjusts song playback levels so that all songs are the same volume. The iPod does not seem to have this facility and it can be annoying.
Any help with this issue would be appreciated

I'm trying to mix a recording in the latest 2014 version of Garageband, but when I set all the tracks in the latest Garageband to the same volume levels and save, when I open the file again they've changed back to a previous setting? Does anyone know why it changes even after saving the file?
    Below is my iMac settings.

Do you have a back up?
If not you're into using file recovery software like  File Salvage - you can download a free trial and it will scan the disk for you and tell you with might be recoverable. Actual recovery will require that you purchase the app. There may be many files with the same or similar names. Always recover the largest file size.
There are other such apps. Search on Macupdate or the App Store

  • Increasing volume levels from Ipod

I have loads of AAC & MP3 files loaded on my Ipod but the volume levels are too low when played through the car AUX is there a way to increase the volumes before or after they download to the Ipod.

If you boost the volume of the songs in iTunes, you must then sync the iPod to iTunes once again in order to reflect the changes. If you have done this and still cannot hear a difference, then there is something amiss.
Same with iPod Volume Boost. It matters not that the iPod was manufactured for the European market, it should works with all iPods.
It work with two iPods in our family that were purchased in the USA.

  • Volume levels on IPod Classic

I don't know if anyone else has experienced this, but the early generation IPods I have had all played music louder in my cars than the later version Nanos, IPhones, ITouches, etc.  I know this because with my Gen 2 IPod Classic (wasn't called Classic then) I listened to my music at volume level 48 and it played as loud as I like it.  With my IPhone, ITouches and Video Nanos, I turn it up to 58 and it's still not as loud as the Classic.  And, yes, I have the sound limiter all the way up, and I have kept sound check settings cosntant.  Were the early Classics known for reproducing louder sound vo

  • Volume levels in iPod...

    Hi all.
I'm having some volume issues with my iPod. Within iTunes, I have the Sound Check enabled, but when songs are played on my iPod the songs are in fact not at the same level. What gives?
This is very annoying because I usually go to bed with music playing through my iPod (and a set of speakers). Some songs are 'low' so I turn the volume up, but when a song comes on that has a 'higher' level it gets real loud and makes a peacful transistion to sleep difficult .
Anyone have any ideas what I'm doing wrong or what setting I'm not using to truly achieve a consitent level of volume on all songs?
    Thanks in advance.

    I'm sorry Chris, I misunderstood...
You're probably right, I don't think I have Sound Check enable on the iPod (i thought you meant within iTunes) Let me check and I'll let you know.
    Thanks.

  • Is there any "mechanical" helper to get my volume levels the same?

I create playlists from ratings,(and comments),- and albums have different volume levels. As I always use my ipod to go to sleep, it is very destructive, to not be able to hear my music one minute, and then have it much too loud the next.
Is there ANYTHING, free or chargeable, physical or software, that can help me get my itunes library to all the same volume level. My problem is agrivated by the fact that I do have some shared downloads, and also someone put my vynils onto cd for me, but at a lower volume.
I might add, that I'm still a learner on the computer. I have been told to change the soundcheck -playback -preferences -itunes. I have tried it, ticked and unticked - it doesn't make any difference.
I'd be very gratefull for some advice. Please HELP, this has been going on for ages. Thank you, in anticipation.

I'm SO very grateful for your help! Have downloaded it, and have started to use it, but havn't listened to results yet.(just about to) THANKYOU SO MUCH.
Thankyou so much again, this could be the end of a long (negative) era!
A bit later: have listened to a little, seems a huge amount better. will update when used properley.
I'm anticipating some being way out. Though it says it can overcome old changed volume levels, is it best in your opinion, to put them back to original setting?

  • How Can I Play All Songs On My IPod Touch at Same Volume?

I have an IPod Touch 5th Generation which I bought this year. I also have a 4 year old  Apple IMac desktop with ITunes version  11.0.4(4).
I have the latest version of OS Mountain Lion.
I sync songs from ITunes on my IMac desktop to the IPod Touch. Songs play back at different volumes on the IPod Touch.
I want them all to play at the same volume.
Almost all of the songs in my ITunes on my IMac were downloaded from many different music websites,
very few from the Apple Store.
I also have an IPod Nano 5th Generation which I bought a few years ago. I copied songs from ITunes on my desktop to my IPod Nano.
But I did not sync them. Just transferred or copied many of the songs from ITunes, without syncing.  The ITunes songs appear to play at equal volume on
my IPod Nano but not on my IPod Touch. For Settings on my IPod Touch, I set Sound Check to On.
Regarding ITunes Preferences (ITunes is on my desktop IMac):
The Sound Enhancer and the Sound Check are both checked, and have been checked for a long time. Therefore all the songs
on my IPod Touch should all be played at the same volume, shouldn't they, since they were synced from ITunes.
Doesn't the Sound Check on ITunes control that?
If they all play on the same volume on my ITunes, shouldn't all songs play on the same volume on my IPod Touch?
I noticed today the Crossfade in ITunes Preferences on my IMac was not checked. I thought it had been, but maybe I accidentally unchecked it one day.
I checked it today but was not sure what time to put on it. I put the time in the middle, which is about 6 seconds. Not sure if this is OK.
I'd like one song to come on just about when the previous song ends. Any suggestions? (There does not seem to be a Crossfade option
in the ITouch Music Settings). If I use Crossfade in ITunes, will it crossfade when I play the IPod Touch, since it synced the ITunes?
Also, I have the music setting for EQ on my IPod Touch set to OFF. I assume I don't need this, but please let me know if I do.

Settings>Music>Sound Check will HELP to normalise the volume of your music but it only averages it out.

  • Varying volume levels

I am having to constantly adjust the volume on my IPOD mini. I have sound check on. I have songs that I have ripped from my CDs and songs from ITUNES. Really annoying. Is there any way to solve this problem. I do have an audio card on my computer. Is there a way to rip all tracks at the same volume level for playback.
    Thanks,
    Jerry

There are 3rd party programs that do this more effectively than soundcheck (at least in my opinion).
    For Windows there is mp3/aacGain.

  • Differing Volume Levels-- Can't Find Answers

I play my iPod and iTunes through my stereo at times. JVC 140 watt stereo. My volume control has a series of marks around it similar to a clock
When I play a CD or vinyl record, the volume control for adequate sound is just a few notches above the "minimum" indicator near the volume knob (barely at "7" on the clock)
When I play the same tune from my Powerbook or iPod, I must turn the volume control on my stereo close to the "8" or even more for good sound. If I turn the stereo to radio instead of my Powerbook music, the sound is so loud it almost blasts me out and I have to turn it down.
If I compare the original recording with the second generation, I can tell the second generation recording lacks the punch and power of the original. It seems to me that a duplication should be just that-- a duplicate of the original.
I am using HiJack Pro to record my tapes and records. I also have simply inserted CD's into my computer to record in iTunes with the same results.
I have not been able to find anyone who can answer this question.
My question is: is it reasonable to expect that a recorded song should have the same volume level as the original?
If so, then how do I do it?
    Thanks!
    17" 1.67 Powerbook   Mac OS X (10.4.3)

Neither the iPod or PowerBook have true line-level outputs so you will find connecting either of these in place of another device which outputs a higher voltage, gives a quieter volume. However, if you have a dock for your iPod, use the socket on that for sound and you'll find you get more volume.
On my PowerBook, I have created a custom preset within the EQ which just boosts gain. Solves the problem, although can occasionally result in distortion.
As for your encoding problem, an analogue 'copy' will rarely be perfect and relies on quality of cabling, software, but most importantly, the quality of digital/analogue/digital conversion. Which compression algorithm do you use? I can't stand the sound of MP3- even 192 is clear to me. AAC is far better to my ears and Apple Lossless, great- though results in too large file sizes for my purposes.

  • How do I make all the clips on one track the same volume?

I am trying to raise the volume equally on all the clips. One would think that it would be as simple as turning up the volume knob on the audio mixer on the track with all the clips, but of course not, that would be TOO simple. When I raise the volume, it keeps jumping back and forth as if I asked it to key frame the volume knob. How can I perform the simple task of raising all the clip volumes to the same volume ?

I do not recall what version of Premiere Elements that you are using nor the computer operating system on which it is running.
So, I will generalize for now, referencing version 12...
    1. Assuming you have several Timeline audio clips that you want with the same volume...select the first, go to Adjust Tab/Adjustments Palette/Volume Panel expanded and adjust the Volume.
    2. Then right click the that first file (with the adjusted Volume), select Copy.
    3. Select all the other audio clips that you want to have the same Volume level. Then right click anywhere in the selection and select Paste Effects and Adjustments.
    Does that work for you.
If you have video with its audio linked to it, depending on the specific circumstances to be discussed later, you might want to unlink the audio and video beforehand.
Please review and let us know if that works for you. Any questions or need clarification, please do not hesitate to ask.
    Thanks.

  • Different volume levels on songs

    Hi
Just a question on volume levels. My songs all seem to have different volume levels. How do get to play the songs at the same volume level?
    Thanks

You could also right-click your song file or files that need to be louder, and then click on Get Info (right-click menu) then in that window click on the Options Tab, and there is a volume adjusting slider.
Its what I use to raise the volume on my videos.
    Hope I helped.

  • Fluctuating volume levels during a track

'Ello. Has anyone else ever experienced the volume levels changing during a song? The only way I can describe it is it feels like someone's playing with the volume, lowering it for half a second before returning it to it's previous level. It only does it on a handful of tracks, but I was wondering if anyone else has had this? Could it be an earphone/headphone problem? Any help would be much appreciated. Rich

I have Windows 8.1 and this only happens with Spotify, not Songza, Amazon Cloud Player, or Pandora. It started happening just in the last week and I have no membory of downloading any new software.  I've played with disabling/enabling on Spotify:- View > Hardware Acceleration- Properties> Music Quality> High Quality Streaming- Advanced Settigns> Crossfade tracks- Advanced Settigns> Set the same volume level for all tracks On my PC's Sound settings I checked "Do nothing" in Communications and I tried different options with Beats, which was included with my laptop. Sound does NOT fluctuate using the app on my phone, so I can only assume it's either my PC or the PC application. I believe I've tried everything listed in this topic, but posting again in a last ditch effort before I have to end my subscription :(

  • Volume Leveling

Is there a "Volume Leveling" option with Premiere Elements?    I recently purchased Premiere Elements 13 and I am still learning to use it.  The previous program I used had a volume leveling option that automatically leveled out the volume of a clip so all the sounds produced were leveled out pretty close to the same volume level.
Basically I run a YouTube channel and I sit closer to our camera than my friend does.  My voice comes through a LOT louder than his and I want to level this out.   I can't just adjust the audio level of the clip because that just increases or decreases the volume of both our voices.    I've tried internet searching and couldn't find anything.    I want to avoid manually having to turn the volume up or down when both of us speak because that would be way too much work as our videos are usually 30min-1hour.
    Any help is greatly appreciated!

In Premiere Elements 13, you can right click the Timeline audio and select Audio Gain from the pop up  menu that appears. This will bring up the Clip Gain dialog which includes a Normalize button. Is that what you used in a prior version?
When you establish your volume, do you do that with the Audio Meter on. See Window Menu/Audio Meters.
Premiere Elements (many versions) has a problem with video that is recorded with a variable instead of a constant frame rate. The problem ranges from audio out of sync to not being able to import the a file at all. A typical remedy is to take the video into a free program such as HandBrake and export your video from there a H.264.mp4 with constant instead of variable frame rate.

I will provide a step by step how to if necessary.
Please review and consider and then let us know the outcome.
    Thank you.
