SRM Contract Catalog - Creation

Hi,
I am working with a customer on SRM 5.5 /CCM 2.0.
We need to have product and contract catalogs in our system.
1) Do we necessarily need to have CCM on another client?
2) We have initialized CCM with the /ccm/ccm_initialize report. After we run the BBP_CCM_TRANSFER_CATALOG report SRM Product Catalog gets created. How does the SRM Contract catalog get created? Is there a separate report for that?
4) Do we necessarily need XI for my scenario?
Any helpful answers would be greatly appreciated. [and rewarded, ofcourse :-)]

Couple of associated queries.
1) XI configured and the business scenario MasterDataInclusion set up.
Yes, it is set up for us.
2)A logical system entry for CCM defined as a backend system with type Cataloge.
We have CCM on the same client as the SRM EBP. So, we have already defined this client logical system as Local B2B. I cannot define the same logical system again as type CATALOG. So, should I create a dummy entry for this CCM backend system.. without any client assignment that is?
3)We dont have a supplier catalogue scenario. Only Product & Contract Catalogues.
When I executed the BBP_CCM_TRANSFER_CATALOG first time a SRM Product Catalog got created. Is the contract catalogue expected to be created then itslef?
Because, after we release our contracts there is no contract creation/updation happening in the CCM. Is the contract catalogue expectd to be created the first time we release any catalogue with the tick on?
Everytime we release a conract an error log is being generated for a user WF-BATCH with message
"Recepient not found.
The error ocurred by processing event RELEASED_NEWLY with GUID 70D3DB446F7CEC36E10000000A0000E8 and object_id= 5000000213" [5000000213 is our contract number"
Is this relevant to my problem? What is the issue here?

SRM Contract Catalog - Creation without XI - is that possible?

Hi,
I am working with a customer on SRM 4.0 / CCM 2.0 / Business Connector 4.7 ( standalone scenario ).
We need to have contract catalogs in our system.
So I read the post from Waheed Mohammad with similar request, but the different is, that I don´t have XI and I do not know what the business scenario "MasterDataInclusion" is
Does anybody know, if SRM Contract Catalog Creation works with Business Connector 4.7 too?!
And what settings have to be done?!
Would be glad, if someone could give me a hint.

Unable to Map Contract Catalog to Master Catalog

Hello,
We currently use CCM 2.0 with SRM version 5.
Our issue is that when items are added to a contract catalogue and released, the contract releases successfully but errors appear in the upload logs advising u2018It is not possible to retrieve the data types for catalog **********. Catalog update was terminatedu2019.
The contract catalog then has a red light against so we are unable to map the contract to the Master Catalog.
The issue appears to be intermittent as we have had some go through successfully.
I have checked the following:
SXMB_MONI u2013 shows as successfully processed
SLG1 u2013 shows no errors
/CCM/D_CTLG_REQ u2013 there is no entry in the req_sender field
/CCM/D_UPD_STATE u2013 the status is 02 u2013 completed with errors.
Iu2019ve seen a similar issue posted with the advice to run /CCM/CLEANUP_DIS_PERSISTENCY, however I havenu2019t ran this before and would like some advice on the impacts of doing so before I run it in our Production environment.
Can anyone provide some information on why this issue could be occurring and what I can do to resolve the issue?

Hi Lisa,
Such an error normally means the catalog is corrupted, you can run the cleanup_dis_persistency report in the hope that it can repair the links but it is doubtful, it is more likely that you will have to delete this contract catalog and then re transfer the contract to CCM again before mapping to the master.

Upload of Contract Catalog

Uploading of Contract Catalog to CCM failed because an initial upload was ongoing when it attempted to upload. Now, status of Contract is 'error' -- is there a way to re-upload the Contract Catalog to CCM?

I checked sxmb_moni in SRM and no log was found. The only log found was on the first time it was released, in SLG1 -- it couldnt start sending out the packages because of the initial upload ongoing. It reads: "Catalog locked....". It did around 50 tries, then ended in error.
The next time i re-released. No log found in both SLG1 and Sxmb_moni.

SRM MDM Catalog - SRM OCI mapping relevant for Contract Catalogs

Hi,
According to the scenario we would like to implement, the contract items are distibuted to a catalog and later on they are recalled within other contracts. In this case to do OCI mapping in SRM (customizing activity?) is still relevant? Is this activity necessary for all catalogs internal or external?
Is this what is enabling to dispaly the catalog within SRM transaction like Process Contracts for all type of catalogs?

I did unmapping between OCI fields and MDM fields at OCI Mapping and but i have selected unmapped fields at all Views.
Now when i login and checked at my catalog side, i can able to see the data for that fields, which i have unmapped at OCI Mapping.
My question is :
1) Why this fields are getting values , when i Unmapped at OCI mapping Level?
2) If this fields are getting values at catalog irrespective of mapping/unmapping at OCI Mapping level, then what is the actual use of OCI mapping?
3) where exactly adding of Custom fields at OCI side is helpful?

One of my friend is travelling from US to INDIA,so i have pre booked NOKIA LUMIA 1520 NO CONTRACT AT&T mobile phone on nov 21st for ~550$ via microsoftstore,now the shipment is in progress.My friend will receive it in couple of days.
My questions are:
Since i have ordered a NO contract phone,whether i can use it in INDIA with any GSM provider straight away or i need to unlock it?

Let's start with differentiating these terms: 'contract', 'no contract' and 'unlocked phone'. When we say Contract phones, these are the phones that you can get by availing your provider's services within a certain period of time, depending on the contract that you've agreed upon. These phones are usually locked and their software has been customized by your operator. Usually, you can see your operator's logo or themes on the phone.
No contract phones are the prepaid phones that you usually purchase from your operator. The phone can either be locked or unlocked. Unlocked phones are the generic phones. They are not factory locked and can be used with another SIM card from another operator.
To answer your questions:
1. Since i have ordered a NO contract phone,whether i can use it in INDIA with any GSM provider straight away or i need to unlock it? - There's no guarantee that the phone is unlocked. One way to find out is to insert a SIM card from another provider. If it prompts for a restriction code, you'll know that it is locked.
2. If suppose i need to unlock it means,whether i can do it here(INDIA) or i need to ask my friend in US to unlock & bring it here? - The restriction code is only provided by the operator to whom the device is tied up with. In case that it is locked, you can ask your friend to coordinate with AT&T for the restriction code.
Additional information that you may like to consider is the supported frequency bands of the device and the country where you intend to use it:
Lumia 1520 RM-940
GSM 850/900/1800/1900
WCDMA 850 900 1900 2100
LTE bands 2, (1900), 4(1700/2100), 5 (850), 7 (2600), 17 (700)
INDIA
GSM 900, GSM 1800
UMTS 2100
LTE 2300
Given this information, you have to verify carefully with your Indian operator if they support the frequency bands of your device. Furthermore, LTE connectivity will not be available. Hope this helps.

LR2 Experienced System Crash & Corrupted Catalog - Need Help!!!

We are using: Mac OS X Version 10.5.8
Background on Lightroom Use:
The size of the catalog in question is 296 MB.
Pictures on an 8GB smart card were being uploaded into lightroom and simultaneously moved into a folder on an external hard drive at the time of the crash. (During this download, the imac screen gave us a very scary...."Death Veil" that started at the top and slowly covered in a downward motion the entire screen, freezing up the computer completely.)
The error message said we needed to restart the computer using the restart option or shut the computer down using the on/off switch.
Since the computer was "frozen" we were unable to access the restart option so we hit the off switch, holding it down until the imac shut itself down.
After waiting for approximately a minute, we restarted the imac.
The imac started as it usually does, however, when we opened Lightroom2, the following message appeared:
After Selecting the "Repair Catalog" Option the following message appeared:
Other catalogs are operating properly in LIghtroom.
We have no available backup and are looking for someone who can assist with
perhaps fixing the corrupted catalog. (Literally, thousands of hours)

If you ever ran "Save" on a lot of images, you'll have all your edits and metadata for those images, and if you ran save recently on the whole catalog of images, you'll be pretty well off. In such a case, I'd start a brand new catalog, and Import in place all the images.
However, assuming the worst, that the above avenue won't yield much, one particular Adobe employee, Dan Tull, is a whiz at repairing catalogs, and you may get it done by sending the catalog to him. From a post long ago: Dan Tull can be contacted at dtull-at-adobe.com .. .. note that @ has been substitued with -at- in above email address .. I haven't seen Dan in this forum for a while, so it's not a for sure thing.

Before opting for XML option, u should know how ur client wants letter to be generated.
XML Publisher is just like Concurrent which will will either generate letter for 1 or all employees (according to report parameter)
While using WebAdi, u can generate report for more than 1 employee by defining emp nos for as many emp as u want and then generate letter via letter form.

PUSH BUTTON IN FIELD CATALOG - NEED HELP

I have a requirement wherein i need to have a push button in the first column of ALV GRID DISPLAY output to be able to select multiple rows. Now am using SELKZ field in field catalog, though it creats a first column, the push button is not available. Is there any field in FIELD CATALOG other than this field which will satisfy my requirement or any other possible way to achieve this functionality.

Sample JSP code needed with jdbc select lists

Hello java experts!
I need to create a series a jsp pages that connects to an ms access "books" database. This first page should connect to the books.mdb and populate select lists with the values from the database. The solution would be similar to the the books shopping cart in the CoreServlets book, EXCEPT I must do everything in JSP only.
All I have done to this point is Java servlets. (I've done shopping cart stud in ASP.net, but not JSP).
I know everyone hates to post code samples, but seeing the code will help me understand. I've read the API, the tutorials, 3 textbooks, and any other doc I could find. I understand Java beans and jsp, but I need to see the JSP for this to finally crystalize.

Doing it set-based, should be the way to go, it takes only one line of code, one single SQL statement:
