Sample files help

I'm trying to use adobe tv to learn how to use InDesign, and the videos keep talking about samples files that are available but I can't find those anywhere. Does anyone know where I can find those files? Please help.

Many of the Adobe TV files are created on Lynda.com, and acquired (and presumably paid) by Adobe for free demos. Go to Lynda.com. To the files on Lynda.com, you'll need a premium subscription, or you can make up your own files.

Opening plug in settings, sample files, loops, effects, etc

What application do I need to use to open the plug in settings, sample files, loops, etc.? Some open with quicktime, however, most all of them are pst files. I am new to this and have no idea what that is. The files are there, they just won't open, even if I change them to open with quicktime. Any help would be appreciated.
Garage band v1.1.0 (26) Mac OS X (10.4.8)

I've tried opening them from within garageband, no success. I went through finder just to see what type of file they were compared to the ones that would open. the ones that will open open with quicktime and are .aif files. The other ones won't open even if I select quicktime as the application to open them with. I know I sound stupid, but I'm kinda new to the digital recording. Am I missing an application or driver or something? Thanks for responding.

Accessing OID in OBIEE VM Samples Files

I'm trying to set up access to the expanded OBIEE 11.1.1.5 Sample files, by loading the VM application. I've successfully set up the Virtual Machine and loaded the Sample App image and I'm trying to work thru the instructions to get all of the components in place. This is the document I am using to guide me:

The instructions give me no clue as to how I would connect to OID using the configuration. My question: How do I connect to OID and make this connection?

Note that I'm not interested in diving deeply into learning all about OID today. I am new to Muse so I am following the tutorial for Katie's Cafe. I downloaded the sample files. The problem is not all the files are in the folder as are on the tutorial. The colour sample for instance is not there. The CC Getting Started Katies.muli

Unable to find/view garageband instrument sampler files

Hello,
My goal is to import my garageband drum kits into idrum.
This would be easy except I can't locate the instrument sample files on my HD.
I have looked in the directory Library/applicationsupport/garageband/sampler files (where I have been told they should be), as well as I've performed a search for AIFF files for specified drum kits - to no avail.
Does garageband disable this function?
The folders show that there is nothing inside them, yet all of the instrument and jampack instruments work within garageband.
Please help.

I have Adobe Illustrator CS6 installed in my system, but I can't find the samples files mentioned in the PDF file "Adobe Illustrator CS6 What's New"..The text says " ... is available as a sample file
in your Illustrator software."
The files are: Nature’s Journey by Sabine Reinhart, Mischievous Venus by Huan Tran,
Looking for Adventure by Yogesh Sharma.

I do not see what the problem is to share a file that comes with the trial setup installer AI CS6 that anyone can download from Adobe.com and can do whatever you want.
I had not found the folder "How Did They Do That!" and "Sample Art" where are the 5 PDF's and 5's Ai files, because they are only available in 64-bit version, and I installed the 32 bit version because I don't have a PC running 64 bits.
But I researched the installer "Adobe Master Collection CS6" and with some knowledge, I managed to extract the files from "Payloads", and already have here running in AI CS6 32 bits.
But anyway, thank you very much for your help.

When using RTMP, only the sample files will stream?

I am using the exact same code and placing the f4v file in the same directory that the sample files are in, but if I change the name on the file it will not stream, connection error! Only plays the sample files?

Firstly I wanted to clarify if you're gertting a connection error, i.e you're not able to make a connection to the application itself, or if you're getting an error when you try to play your stream (like Stream Not Found)?
Since you've mentioned that you're able to play sample files, I'm assuming that you're able to make connections to the application successfully.
Coming to the problem with playback of custom media, are you using the sample vod application to playback your files or are you copying the code into a different application and then using that?
If you have copied the files from vod into a custom application then the application specific virtual directory mapping for recorded streams still points to that under the vod application. So you're able to play the sample files as they are present under root_install/applications/vod/media (the default media location for vod app) but not your f4v files placed in custom_application/media directory, as it is not looking in that folder.
To point the virtual directory to a custom location, in the Application.xml of your application either change/add the following tag with the folder path :

          <StreamManager>
                    <VirtualDirectory>
      
      <Streams>/;${VOD_COMMON_DIR}</Streams> //default. Can be removed
      <Streams>/;${VOD_DIR}</Streams>                   //default. Can be removed
      <Streams>/;path_to_your_media_folder</Streams>      //add this
                    </VirtualDirectory>
          </StreamManager>
After this Resart FMS and retry. You should now be able to play your media.
The same holds for the live application. The folder where the published streams are mapped points to the live application folder. If you have a custom application you can edit this path the same way.

I tried full cache refresh, also cleared SLD Cache for both IR & ID. No luck.
I think either some thing wrong in connection parameters, but atleast if I see some error in Moni or RWB, it helps, but in my situation, nothing is showing up there.
Connections:
I specified PORT & RFC Dest in IDOC RCVR Adapter along with WEBAS Release version. These PORT & RFCs are created in XI using SM59 & IDX1 and both passed the connection test.
On the ECC side, I created a PP with inbound Idoc CREMAS and process code as CRE1. This PP uses the LS that was used in RCVR BS specified in XI side.
I also loaded Idoc meta data into XI with Tcode: IDX2
Please help me, any body. I will sincerely award the points.

This question is very old but when you look for this in Google this is the first page that comes up.
To make your own uploadable table in Excel you need to follow this structure:
Required means that you must fill that field and Empty means that should leave it blank.
The length describes the length of the field. It's very important the length of the field because if you don't use that length then it won't work the upload.
1 Data Class (Fixed value '01') - Length 2 - Required
2 Key 1 FROM currency - Length 20 - Required
3 Key 2 TO currency - Length 20 - Required
4 Category Interest type - Length 15 - Required
5 Date Calculation Date (Format DDMMYYYY) - Length 8 - Required
6 Time Calculation Time (Format HHMMSS) - Length 6 - Empty
7 Value Value of Data - Length 20 - Required (Use dot for decimals not commas)
8 Currency Not applicable - Length 20 - Empty
9 FROM Ratio Translation Ratio from - Length 7 - Required
10 TO Ratio Translation Ratio to - Length 7 - Required
11 Other Not applicable - Length 5 - Empty
12 Status Error status (values 50..99) - Length 2 - Empty
13 Error message Error message - Length 80 - Empty
In excel you can define the column width with right click in the column. Doing that define every column with the previous length exposed. Fill the required fields.
You should use define every field in "Text" format because numbers like the first one: 01, must be 01 and it won't work with just 1. The same with date, if you have a date like 5012015 it won't work and has to be 8 digits like 05012015 (05.01.2015)
After you define every column width and define the required fields. Remember to delete the headers if you used them.
Save the file as .XLS because if you save it instead as .prn you won't be able to use it again. Finally save the file as .prn (Formated Text Space Delimited) and upload TBDM. Every time you need to upload again open the XLS file, put your data and save as .prn
And that's it

Where are the sample files for dreamweaver cs 5.5 on Adobe TV?

where are the sample files for Dreamweaver cs 5.5 on Adobe TV? video says there there, but there not! Video even shows where to find them, but there still not there! Were they just to big for Adobes servers to handle so the had to take them down to make space? : ) Please help, could really use them. Thanks! : )

CS5.5 is now 4 versions behind CS6, CC and CC2014.

New user sample files question

hello,
i just installed the personal edition of lumira and want to know if there are any tutorials that use the data that is behind the "try with samples" button in lumira?
i have watched several tutorials prior to installing the software and i didn't see any that use the sample files.
i also browsed through some of the user guide for version 1.22 and it didn't use the sample files either, so i figure that i must be missing something.
any help on how to get started learning lumira would be greatly appreciated.

i watched several videos prior to installing the software to try and get a feel for what the software has to offer. i "hear" what you are saying about viewing tutorials, but many people don't learn that way. when you are trying to replicate something you see, using different data then the data shown in the video, it is very easy to forget something, then one would have to go back to the video, try and find the spot in the video that covers what you need. all of that back and forth is way too time consuming.
no, i have no plans on creating training exercises or teaching lumira. my goal is to compare and contrast it with other bi tools.
i have tons of spreadsheets of data. i imported some and realized that there is no way to change the formatting that i could find. for example, i wanted to add dollar signs to the data. the "display formatting" option doesn't have this feature.
on the prepare tab, i didn't see any way to do that. perhaps this can be done when you actually create a chart, but i haven't gotten that far. i'm still trying to figure out how to manipulate the data once it's brought into lumira, so to speak.
it could be me, but i get the feeling that it is best to have the data in the exact format that you need it in prior to importing it.
hope this better explains why videos aren't working for me.

Bad Sample Files or I'm intoxicated

I believe you guys may have some miss information in your sample files or the beer I have consumed this evening has comprised my comprehensionfaculties.
I'm trying to test out the TLF sample files in Flex 3.2 and 3.3 however I am getting compiler errors. I may be missing a .swc that the instructions didn't mention or you may have some outdated references in your sample code.
The sample files I downloaded and readme are here:

The readme suggest that the samples are compatible with Flex 3.2 and indeed give instructions for how to get it working. However, after following the instructions (and figuring out a few of the ambiguous steps) I was able to get almost everything working except a few small things like compiling and actually running the sample. =)
When I try to compile I am getting the following errors from the SimpleEditor example (the only project I am using):
Unable to find:flashx.textLayout.conversion.TextConverter
(is this file in another .swc the instructions missed or perhaps it is Flex 4 class and therefore not compatible with Flex 3.2-3?):
Undefined method:_textFlow.interactionManager.selectRange
(has this been changed to setSelection I wonder?):
Undefined event: StatusChangeEvent.INLINE_GRAPHIC_STATUS_CHANGE
(could be a typo in your sample code *INLINE_GRAPHIC_STATUS_CHANGED* <--- NOTE: The added “D”
Any help and guidance would be much obliged.
PS. you have some hardcoded paths in your sample files that make running the samples a tad vexing.

I have tried downloading the samples and I am able to run them without any issues, may be you have an older version of tlf swc. To get the latest swc and the sdk you can download the source of sdk and swc from svn. Visit the following URL to get the instructions on how to get the source, http://opensource.adobe.com/wiki/display/flexsdk/Get+Source+Code.

Ben's sample files and database

I have been trying to load the sample files from Ben Forta's site, and it is very confussing what to do exactly. The book says one thing, and the folder names on his site are another. I have Cold Fusion Builder running, and a server configured. But I am now to the (chapter 6, vol 1) where having this set of files already loaded is important. Of course I have read and followed the Appendix A as instructed. At least the best I could with all the verbiage on the book and the site folder not matching.

Ben has three zip's to download:
1. owsdata.zip (contents placed in: Cold Fusion 9/db/ows location on my computer)
2. owsdbscript.zip (no mention of what I am to do with this)?
3. CFWACK9-1.zip (contents placed in: Cold Fusion 9/wwwroot/ows on my computer)
But when I run the index.cfm file from the sql folder (#3 item above) in my Cold Fusion Builder, it does not display anything in the browser window.
This is supposed to be a tool to retreive data from a database....
What am I doing wrong here?
Please help if you can.....

Thermal Noise Source - white noise sample file

Hello!
I just used a sample multisim file and there is a problem I cannot solve and I neither found a solution here.
I use Multisim 12 for school and I am experimenting with the multisim sample file WhiteNoise.ms12
from the directory
National Instruments\Circuit Design Suite 12.0\samples\Educational Sample Circuits\Miscellaneous
(you can open it by menu File/Open Samples)
Now here is what i did, I opened the file and replaced XSA2 (a spectrum analyser) for an oszilloscope
to watch the voltage at the resistor R2. Now I start the simulation and double click on the oszilloscope
and I can see the signal and the white noise. well, so far so good. now I stop the simulation and
double click on the Thermal Noise Source to edit some properties or in fact you do not have to change
anything, just close the window with OK (not cancle!) and now simulate again: the noise is gone!
Can anyone help me with this problem? I can't get back the white noise.
(I worked with a copy of the sample file, so I did not destroy anything.)

Hi Mathias,
I see the problem and this is strange. After you open the white noise properties dialog then close it, when looking at the model in the background the noise settings are empty, that’s why you see a square signal source. In the attached circuit, I replaced the noise source with one from the current database and it does have the same problem.
