Sample plugins not working with Netscape 7 on Solaris 8.

I'm trying to build a scriptable plugin for deployment into Netscape 7
and Solaris 8.
I finally got mozilla 1.4.1 built under Solaris 8 and deployed the
plugin from modules/plugin/tools/sdk/samples/simple. By deployed I
mean that I copied the libnpsimple.so file to the netscape plugin
directory and copied the .xpt files to the netscape components
directory. I even removed the xpti.dat file from the netscape
components directory so that it will get regenerated when netscape 7
is started.
I started up netscape 7 and checked about plugins and I find the
simple plugin in the list of enabled plugins. So far, so good.
I open the test.html file in modules/plugin/tools/sdk/samples/simple
into the browser and click on the version button and I get an alert
box that displays "undefined". Also, if I reload the page netscape
crashes.
I also tried the scriptable sample plugin with essentially the same
result.
Does anyone know what I need to do to get a sample plugin to work with
Netscape 7 on Solaris 8.
Some help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks.

  • Java 1.4.2_04-b05 not working with netscape 7.1

I am unable to get java to work with netscape 7.1 on Windows XP. I just get the puzzle icon when running the installation test.
    1. I have de-installed and reinstalled java 1.4.2_04-b05 multiple times
    2. Netscape/Plugins directory has npjpi142_04.dll, and npjava(11,12,13,14).dlls
    3. Netscape cache has been cleared. Enable Java is checked under Preferences/Advanced
    4. Java Plug-in Control Panel shows browser Netscape 6 or later checked, use browser settings for proxy
    5. Java does work with my IE 6.0 browser.

NPOJI610.dll is a very important file for Java Plugin to work with Netscape/Mozilla. So first check whether that file exisits in your system or not. If no, you probably need to reinstall JRE.
If yes, you can try the following.
    1. Would you be able to open "Java Console" from Netscape's Tools->Web Development?
    2. Also you can try to rename C:\Document And Settings\Username\Application Date\Mozilla directory and then re-launch the browser to see whether it works or not.

  • Jre plugin not working with IE5.5

    System
    Windows2000 version 5
    IE 5.5
    Netscape 4.08 & 6.1
    jdk1.3.1
    jre1.3.1
My applet loads fine with netscape 4.08 & 6.1, but as soon as I try it with IE 5.5 it hangs unless i put the mouse pointer over a little black square that appears on the web page. This starts a download of the plugin cab file from sun's site. Then only a little portion of my applet is displayed on the top left corner. Funny thing is it worked fine before I installed jre1.3.1. before that it would download a cab file from sun. I've checked the CLASSPATH and PATH and nothing points to anything other than 1.3.1 of jre. Plus the fact that it works with netscape, even 6.1. Generally its netscape which has the problems. any ideas?

You might try the beta plugin available for download from the developer connection. It allows the Sun JRE to run in IE6 and Netscape6 with just a html page with the <APPLET> tag. So far it seems to be working okay.

  • Adobe Connect Pro 8 Plugin not working with Moodle 2.0

Hello, Last year we integrated Adobe Connect Pro into our installation of Moodle 2.0. On Friday our Adobe Connect Pro account was upgraded to 8 so we installed the new plugin and now it does not work in Moodle.
Is there any news on why the plugin is broken and when it will be fixed? We use Adobe Connect Pro several times a week so we need it working ASAP.

As mentioned on the main product page ( http://www.adobe.com/education/products/adobeconnect.html  ), many of the integrations with LMS systems like Moodle are developed entirely by Adobe partners. In the case of Moodle, here is the partner that created the integration. They will be responsible for any updates.

I don't know what sort of black magic occurred (my guess is mime database update when I reinstalled chrome), but now thunar detects ark properly and tries to use it. It does however not work unless I fix the extraction commands in /usr/lib/xfce4/thunar-archive-plugin/ark.tap.

exec ark --batch --destination "$folder" --autosubfolder "$@"
    extract-to)
exec ark --batch --dialog --destination "$folder" "$@"
(And that is old, like really 2 years? and this is not fixed yet? I also had to find out on my own how to fix the "create archive thing, added to the above for anyone who needs it", I mailed XFCE support/feedback about this since I'm too lazy to create an account to commit to their git.)
I still don't have drag'n'drop working though. Created a thread on it here.

Problem solved. After closing the perspectives I had open and reopening

  • Wraptor DCP plugin not working with AME CC 2014

    Platform:
    10.9.2 on a MacPro 2014, 64GB RAM, D500's 6-core
    Issue:
Media Encoder hangs when rendering a 97 minute project as a DCP using wraptor plugin.  Always gets to a different frame before stalling - furthest i've gotten is 25 minutes in.
I've also tested the Wraptor plugin on an older machine with an NVIDIA 4800 using CUDA and had the same result.  As the source i've tried rendering from the timeline via dynamic linking AND from an assembled Quicktime - neither works, same symptoms.
Any suggestions / experience using Wraptor successfully on long files?  (NOTE:  It DOES work when rendering smaller portions of the film, but never for the full film).

Update:  Haven't been able to complete a wraptor render on my MacPro late 2013/2014 at all - using hardware or software rendering.
Was able to complete a software render of a 97 minute project on a MacPro late 2009 but after playing it back at a local theater it was unusable for theatrical viewing.  Compression was VERY noticeable in the shadows, especially during graphics sequences using After Effects light sources (completely unacceptable during these sequences).
Same project rendered using OpenDCP looked great.

  • Site not working with Netscape 7

    Hello everybody
My site is up at www.Frontiers.uk.net. I used Dreamweaver
CS3, with CSS, on a Mac.
It seems to work fine in IE 6 & 7, Firefox and Safari.
When doing a browser compatibility check, I get one error: "Double
float margin bug", which it says affects IE 6. I don't think this
    is causing a problem.
However in Netscape (I've only tried version 7) the site
looks terrible - the right hand link in the navbar drops down to
    the second line.
Also, there are two DIVS, one floated left and one floating
right, and in Netscape the right one drops underneath the other. I
know that there can be problems with IE 5, in its dealing with
margins but I havent heard anything about Netscape being a problem?
Also I thought that the IE box model bug can just make the DIVS
narrower, not make one drop below the other.
Dreamweaver isn't throwing up any browser errors for
    Netscape.
I thought that hardly anyone would use Netscape, but the
stats for my site say that around 50% of users are using Netscape
(which i find hard to believe!)
Any ideas what I've done wrong or how to fix this for
    Netscape?
OK, I seem to have partially fixed this - I'm using a
SpryMenubarHorizontal.css file for the navigation, with a
ul.MenubarHorizontal - width of 720 px, and 8 buttons with
    ul.MenuvarHorizontal li - width of 90 px (ie 8 x 90 = 720). This
seems to cause Netscape a problem and when I reduce the width of
each button to 89 pixels, the page lines up properly.
However now the drop down menus (eg under 'Courses') don't
always appear in Netscape, nor do the sideways menus (eg.
'Children's Courses' under the 'Courses' button)
Any ideas how to fix this?

  • Help--JRE 5.0 Plugin not working with IE6

I'm trying to set up the Sun JRE plugin on my XP machine, and Internet Explorer will not use it. I have IE checked in the Sun Java Console, and Java (Sun) is checked in Internet Options. MS VM console is turned off. It doesn't seem to matter whether the VM jit compiler is on or not, it doesn't work either way.
If I use any java tester, it says my browser is using 1.1.4 from Microsoft. If I try to bring up the Sun Java Console from IE, it says that I need to set Sun Java as my default java interpreter though Internet Options/Advanced. As I said, I've already done that.
The Java SDK 5.0 appletviewer works just fine. Does anyone have any idea why MSIE is not using the Sun JRE plugin?

I seem to have fixed this one, although I'm not quite sure what happened. I continued struggling with it yesterday. I uninstalled JDK 5.0 and reinstalled a few times, both on and offline methods. Then I tried to install 1.4.0. Nothing seemed to help, so I tried just installing the 5.0 JRE (not JDK). Even that didn't work. I still couldn't get the console to come up in IE6, and clicking on the option said that I needed to make Sun Java the default java on the system, which I had already done.
I finally gave up and installed Firefox on the machine. and I got the 1.5 JRE set up on Firefox. Then, when I went back to IE, all of a sudden it worked. I still can't call the console from IE (says not default), but I can get it from the java icon in the system tray (the icon didn't even show up there before I installed Firefox). IE now says it's using Java 1.5 from Sun when I go to javatester.org, and it will read my compiled 1.5 applets.
Needless to say, I'm still scratching my head on this one--maybe Internet Explorer has a "Me too" subroutine that kicks in and fixes things when another browser is installed. In any case, Firefox can now claim to be a Sun Java panacea--at least to me.

  • ASA Rdp plugin not working with Java 7 Update 55

When accessing the clientless VPN on an ASA 5510 with Java 7 Update 51, the RDP and VNC plugins work exactly as they should. But now that Java 7 Update 55 is out, the plugins once again are useless, as they throw Java security exceptions about "attempted to open a sandboxed jar <applet url here> as Trusted-Only".
This happens even with the most up to date RDP and VNC plugins available on the Cisco website. Is anyone else having these problems, and know of any solutions or if Cisco is working on this problem at all?
    Thanks

I've tried various Java Versions but no luck at all.
    Last try was with:
    Java-Plug-in 11.5.2.13
    JRE-Version verwenden 1.8.0_05-b13 Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM
I am also getting following error:
Missing Application-Name manifest attribute for: https://<mywebsite>++/rdp/properJavaRDP14-1.1.jar
All known workarounds are done to fix the problem. Could anyone confirm that this is fixed with ASA version 9.1.4 ? Its a productive ASA so i do not want to test around for a maybe :)
