Sample portlets - BEA ALUI

Hi ,
At the time of BEA ALUI, their were some sample portlets available on http://dev2dev.bea.com/aluserinteraction ..which is not accessible now...could you please know if the samples are still available??
Thanks!!

they used to be at samplecode.oracle.com i will try to keep looking and let you know if i find them. i have them locally but probably do not have the documentation on installing them. you can view a slide deck on the functionality below.

  • Oracle BPEL Worklist application as a remote portlet in ALUI portal

    Hi,
I am integrating the Oracle BPEL sample worklist application as a remote portlet in ALUI in a community page.
I have 2 urgent queries...and desperate to look for a resolution...
    1) On opening the page where the remote portlet is placed ,it is very very slow to open the firt login screen in IE6.However the page is loading fast in IE7 or netscape.Every time the login page is hit we need to refresh the page to load it quickly..
2)on thewebservice configuration section for portlet -- > http Configuration ,I have created a gateway and added our Oracle BPEL worklist context to gateway the request. There is a option like Inline refresh..
a)If inline refresh is unchecked ,the BPEL worklist is not retaining the portlet nature like minimize ,maximize and the top community navigation is lost.
b)however if inline refesh is checked..The portlet nature is retained ,however there is javascript error coming in the page which is not allowing some of the vanilla features of BPEL worklist is working properly like clicking some buttons and taking actions...
Is this some configuration to be made in the ALUI side or some thing else...Please let me know if there is any solution to this...
    Regards
    Ashif

Now I am able to display the initial page of the remote portlet. However, when I try to do some operations I m running into one more issue:
[WSRP-Consumer:420733]No markup received from the producer [oraclePortal_producer] for portlet with portletHandle[E:3:default].
Is there anything futher I need to do?

  • Discussion Sample Portlets for WC Interaction

    Hi,
    Environment -
ALUI 6.5 Portal , Oracle Wiki & Blog Server and Oracle Discussion ( Jive ) Servers + WCI Sample Porltes - all on the same Weblogic 10gR3 server.
I am trying to consume the WCI ( Aqualogic Interaction ) Sample Portlets for Wiki&BLogs and Discussion available @
    http://download.oracle.com/otndocs/tech/webcenter/interaction/files/wci_scvs_portlets_wikiblog.zip
    http://download.oracle.com/otndocs/tech/webcenter/interaction/files/wci_scvs_portlets_discussions.zip
I could get the Wiki & Blog Portlets successfully running , but the Discussion sample gives me the following message ( POST configuration )
On the configuration (preference) for the portlet , I give the IP:Port and ViewMode=Forums
    URL = http://<I.P>:PORT
    Category ID
    ForumID
    Thread ID
    Message ID
    Page Size
    View Mode =     Forums
    Template
On submitting the initial setup I get the response -
"The service does not appear to be responding. Please enter a valid url."
However my URL Pointing to the Webapplicaiton /WCDiscussions is correct .
Any one who has got it working ??
    -regards
    reju

I am also having problems with the Discussions sample portlet, my scenario is somewhat similar: created a sample portal with Workshop for WebLogic 10.3 and used the embedded WebLogic Server 10g3 to run the portal. The Wiki & Blog portlets work fine, but the Discussions portlet prompts:
The category null is not valid. Please enter a valid category or leave blank. If I try to enter a valid category number, I get the same error with the category number I entered (e.g. "The category 2 is not valid"). The discussion server is running and I can access the forums directly via a web browser without problems.
Is this a problem with the sample portlet? Has anyone successfully used it?

Is there a sample portlet out there, free with source, well written, that provides basic document management (CRUD based on user ownership and rights)?
I want to use this to learn how to create my portlet, and I want to be able to use parts as what I am doing is similiar.

  • How to deploy the Wikis, Blogs and Discussions Sample Portlets ?

    Hi all,
I'm trying to deploy Wikis, Blogs and Discussions Sample Portlets located at
http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/webcenter/release11_demos.html (the demo at the bottom).
I've successfully, deployed the portlet to WebCenter Portlet service using JDeveloper 11.1.1.2.0.
And I've successfully register the porlet proivder in 11g Portal.
However, when I added the portlet to a new page, it returns error
"Error: Could not get markup. The cookie or session is invalid or there is a runtime exception".
I've recreated the page and refresh the screen. But still got the error.
    Anyone know what's going wrong?
    Thanks!
    Larry

I found that the sample code has hard coded the WikiRemoteService to be
    http://localhost:7001/owc_wiki/services/WikiRemoteService
Our environment use another port. After chaning the port number, both interfaces of Wiki and Blog (I just added the two portlets in to a Portal 11g Page) could be loaded. Also, I can create blog, blog entry, add comment via the Blog interface.
However, Wiki portlet seems not working properly. The request I submit via the interface (e.g. show wiki) returns me error
"The service does not appear to be responding. Please enter a valid url."
    Anybody has idea?
    Thanks.

  • Deploying JSR-168 Portlet has an intrinsic portlet to ALUI

How can I proceed to deploy a JSR-168 portlet to work has an intrinsic portlet in ALUI?

    Hello,
This is the WebLogic Portal forum; for the WebCenter Interaction (formerly ALUI) forum see:
    WebCenter - Interaction
If you post your question there, I imagine you can get an answer. Unfortunately, I don't know enough about WCI/ALUI to help you out.

  • How to run a sample portlet from oc4j Server

    Hi,
I have installed pdk101202_oc4j_extended (OC4J) on my system and I want to check the sample portlet which is already deployed. But there is no option on the Welcome page of Oracle Application Server to run a sample portlet. Please help me in this if any body has worked on this.
    Thanks.

Have a look into the following thread: Perl/CGI in OC4J
As an alternative look into the Tomcat 6.0 documentation: [http://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-6.0-doc/cgi-howto.html]
Maybe you can use the related servlet code also in OC4J.

  • Trying to create the login sample portlet.

    Hi;
    Ok, I did the following:
    1. Created a portal domain on my system. (But it was not a choice in later parts so did not use it.)
    2. Created a new portal application and added a portal web project to it - http://e-docs.bea.com/workshop/docs81/doc/en/portal/buildportals/addPortalApp.html?skipReload=true It had the server set to "c:\bea\weblogic81\samples\domains\workshop" so I left it on that figuring the default was correct. It told me that that server did not include a portal so I then selected "c:\bea\weblogic81\samples\domains\portal"
    3. In http://e-docs.bea.com/workshop/docs81/doc/en/portal/samples/login.html?skipReload=true it then says to copy files to "<PORTAL_APP>/<project>/portlets/..." - is this "C:\bea\user_projects\applications\MyFirst\MyPortal\portlets\..."? There is no portlets directory. Also, there are a boatload of files under this directory - does WebLogic Workshop put all of these there when it creates a portal?
    thanks - dave

  • Sample portlets work in Repository page, but can't be added to a page

    Help,
    Portal 3.0.9.8.2. Apps 11.5.7 DB 8.1.7.3.0
I installed the JPDK and could see all samples from the Portlet Repository page. Every one works fine, except the Lottery only shows preview, not the balls.
Then I try to add a portlet to a page. When I click on the name of the provider, I get the Windows hourglass forever and have to Cancel. It does not show any portlets.

  • IFS Access from Portal (Sample Portlets)?

Just wondering if there are any sample JSP/Servlet Portlets floating around illustrating access to iFS (9.0.3 cmsdk) for document storage/management. Something that is a true portlet that lives properly within a portal environment would be ideal.
    thanks

I was aware of the Oracle sample, but it really isn't that functional as indicated by other threads in this forum. It basically is a link to the iFS WebUI that jumps out of portal. In any case, we intend to work with the cmsdk which does not support WebUI.
Can anyone share/point to some examples of portlets (JSP,Servlet based) that can access the facilities of cmsdk.
    thanks

Could anybody tell me what I should do.
    Yours,

    Hey Thomas,
You are registering your Web Provider with Oracle Portal. When Portal attempts to register your provider, it attempts to contact the listener that serves your web portlets. If you have already accessed the sample page: http://host.domain:port/servlet/sample according to the installation instructions, the Portal may not recognize your machine. Make sure the machine where Portal resides can access your Web Provider listener. If you Web Provider server is not part of the DNS, then add an entry in the Portal Server's host file.
    Tyr this and good luck

  • BEA ALUI Studio

I have worked with Studio server with plumtree and BEA 6.1..And I liked working on it, because of the portlet we can create in less amount of time..
Just want to confirm that can we use it with WCI 10gR3, I hope oracle is not suppoting this product any more and hence its does not come with the bundle WCI...is separate lience is attached to it?? Or we can download from edelivery and can use it if we have the lience of WCI 10gR3..Please let me know if anyone is using studio with WCI 10gR3!!

You can download it from edelivery...I guess....but what is the point as it is no longer supported..... I suggest you try something similar to Frevvo Live Forms and integrate it with your WCI10gR3 portal...
    Hope that helps....Vermaji.
