Sample ringtones

Thanks ahead of time for your help ... new bonehead on the block
I notice that the sample ringtones only go up to the letter "F"  (Fur Elise) ... where's the rest of 'em?
Thanks,
Deb

There should be some more in that list. What I would do is take the battery out and put it back in, do a soft reset like that and see if that fixes it.

  • Audio software issue?

I bought my Palm Pre yesterday. It's mostly working great except for one issue: it won't play any music.
The audio works fine when I make a phone call, watch a video, or for sound effects with the cards. But it won't play the ringtones, alarms, radio, or any music. I tried running the interactive tests, but I could hear all the sounds on that.
When I go to listen to the sample ringtones, I press the "play" button, but nothing happens. Same with when I try to play music. Please help!

I had this exact issue happen today after some Accuradio and updating via preware, etc (including running brightness unlinked)...orange + sym + r   fixed it.  (causes a reboot)

  • UNCAUGTH EXCEPTION APPLICATION REGISTRY

After I have tried innumerous tentatives, and after reading several board on the net trying to find a solution I found this board and almost kicked myself for not coming here the first time. So here it goes. I have a BB Pearl 8100. I dropped the phone in the water but   I immediately  removed tyhe battery and let it dry for a bit. I have also used some  "electrical cleaner" gently used to remove  any salt deposit.
After I turned the unit on( I was surprised that  it did), right after the "Security software check, I get the following..  UNCAUGTH EXCEPTION APPLICATION REGISTRY. WAIT FOR (Oxac3ae76427d17f19) timeout  I scroll down and hit  ok and then  it asks me to confirm  date and time  ( which is wrong) . Now  the phone screen ( desktop) looks excactly  like it always  looked.
I try to make a call and it works. They call me and it works  only  that  ther is no ring. Whn i try to set a ring tone and play it to test it, a message  shows    UNABLE TO DISPLAY FILE  /Device Memory/samples/ringtones/Ringer_Bonjour.mid
and  same  things  happens  if  i want  to view the pic  either in the media  card  on the preloaded pics.
So I figure.. maybe  the software is s messed up  so  i better wipe  or  re-install the software. And this is were I'm STUCK... No matter which PC  I use  no one  will recognize my  BB trough the USB port. I have tried  JD_CMDER  and some other techniques as I have read on other BB boards. But  all to no avail.
I strongly believe that if I can pass the USB hurdle  I could re-install the software and all would  be fine again.
I'm afraid to wipe the BB from the phone itself by going  trough  the security module.  And one more thing... When i try to charge the phone  via USB port  it seems to work  since i get the signal that the phone is being charged ( A plug symbol next tothe charge bar).
    Can anyone offer any help.....
     Thank you all

Hi, and welcome to the forums,
I Can pretty sure you are going to have to reload.
However, pull your media card, and see if you can look at the preloaded pictures. The indexing
for the media may be corrupt, explaining the ringtonses as well. This would just be a test to see
    what is corrupt.
See if you can try this:
Okay, if you put the battery in does it stay on for a minute or so? If the battery just works for a ,minute: This is the procedure I was talking about: Once you have downloaded and installed this, then you need take advantage of the small window at boot up time when the device will 'connect' to the PC. So get your Desktop Manager started, start Application Loader (onto the Welcome screen which says 'Next'), and get the USB cable ready. Then, quickly, remove and reinstall the battery, plug the device into the USB cable, press 'Next', and hopefully the application loader will find the device and display the USB connection in the "Drop down" list labeled Connection. Quickly press Next to connect to it, and it will stop the start up processing and allow you to reinstall the OS. You will then get the normal application loader screen with all the OS components to install.\ Hi and welcome to the forums! Sounds like you need to reload your device OS. • I can no longer hear my phone "ringing" since latest update. Same ringtone sample in iTunes south louder than it actually play once bought. I am missing calls due to poor volume

My iPhone 4S with latest os no longer "rings" loud enough to hear of phone in holster or pocket. I am missing all my calls. Are there any fixes?

Ah yes school boy error there out of frustration and discontent..
My issue is with music/apps/films etc not downloading from iTunes / App Store.
They initially fail and message is displayed stating unable to download / purchase at this time, yet if I retry it says I've already purchased (?) or alternatively I go to the purchased section and there they are waiting with the cloud symbol..
However some items get frozen in the download window and cannot be retried or deleted. Message appears stating to tap to retry, but even if you stole every bath and sink in the uk you'd still not have enough taps.
I post here as the iTunes guys are useless in there 'help' and have only advised posting here or phoning apple, at my expense, to explain a problem that could be rectified by forwarding my original email to a techie. However the tech team apparently don't have an email address as they're from ye olde Middle Ages..!
    Anyways I digress.
So I tried sync to pc, but instead of showing the file as ready to listen/use/view, the iCloud symbol shows and I'm back to square one as the item is unable to download..
At frustration station waiting for a train from pain...
All my software is up to date, and had all worked fine prior to the last big iOS update that resulted in all the changes in display and dismay.

  • What Happened to my Ringtones in iTunes?

I'm running the latest build of iTunes (8.0.2), and Mac OSX Leopard (10.5.6), and my iPhone 3G is running the 2.2 software version.
I am trying to get a few custom ringtones onto my phone, but it would seem that something has happened to prevent me from succeeding.
No matter what I have attempted, my ringtones list do not appear under the RingTones tab of my collection ( I had over 300 a few months ago), and none seem to show up in the Ringtone tab on my phone when connected to iTunes.
    - I've converted my wav/mp3 files to AAC formats and renamed them to the .m4r file extension.
    - All my samples are 128k, stereo sounds that are less than 30 seconds (most are under 10s)
    - The ringtone option no longer appears under the View Options menu.
What gives? I'm at my wits end!

  • Cannot Creat Ringtone

Has anyone noticed that A LOT of songs cannot be made into ringtones? A lot of newer songs, to be specific...like anything from Maroon 5 or Rhianna (Umbrella). I get this error message that states "XXX song can no longer be made into a ringtone) or something to that effect.
I mean, it's already a RIP OFF that I have to pay .99 for a 15 second version of a song I ALREADY HAVE PAID FOR, but despite this ...I can't seem to get 90 percent of my purchased list songs made into a ringtone.
    Anyone else having this problem?

Thanks for your reply. It's hard for me to think that 90% of my purchased songs don't have the ability to be made into a ring tone and that this was acceptable to iTunes. If you consider my selection of 300 recent songs a broad swath or sample size of the larger population of songs - that is an abysmal rate. It only proves to frustrate us if most of our favorite songs cannot be converted.
The fact that you paid $1.99 on ATT for just the ringtone (I have done that as well) is a testimant to how much we are over-charged. That doesn't address the issue that you are being charged to include a 15 second version on your phone of a song you have already purchased. If Apple sold the song with the ability to make into a ringtone for $1.99 it would actually be different, even though the price would ultimately be the same.
In this case the consumer feels fleeced because they felt like (and have) already paid for the song.

  • What about sounds that *I* sampled, or Garageband tracks?

I'd like to create custom ringtones from sounds that I sampled, like the sound of my Harley being revved, or my wife saying "Answer the phone, dummy!". And, I'd like to use Garageband to create tracks that I can use as custom ringtones.
Unless I misunderstood the announcement, I WON'T be able to use either self-sampled or Garageband tracks with the standard iTunes ringtone generator.
I acknowledge that there are copyrighted works that are sold by ITMS, and that Apple has to pay a copyright fee for each sale. And, I acknowledge that DRM-protected materials exist and that the use of DRM-protected materials as ringtones may not fall under DMCA-specified "fair use" of those materials.
However, do I have to make an RIAA-approved recording of my wife's voice or find a way to pay a fee for Garageband-generated tracks just to be able to use them as ringtones?
Come on, Apple. Restricting self-generated content from being used as ringtones in favor of your "approved" media files is counterintuitive, coercive, and just plain silly.

This definitely has me stumped as I'm unsure as to why your guitar can be heard, but with none of the channel strips plugins applied to the sound.
On the record enabled channel strip that contains your guitar input, is the "I" button located near the "R" active? Also, if you record your guitar, can you hear the FX applied to it when you play back the recorded track?

Both devices have one error in their Firmware and that is about ringtone.
no matter whatever the custom ringtone you set for ringtone notification its ring only one time and then only vibrate.
For example i set a tone which is 12 second tone so when ever some one call me after 12 second the ringtone did not repeat.

  • HT1688 I reset my Iphone and got everything back accept ringtones, how can I get them back?

I recently reset my Iphone 4S 16 GB and I backed it up with Icloud. I got everything back ( apps, music, photos, ETC.) accept for my purchased ringtones. I am trying everything to get them back. I know they are still there because when I tried to purchase one again, it said I already purchased it. How can I get them back and what happened to them?
                                                                                                                                                                 Thanks,

I would try deleting these from your Itunes on your PC/Mac but i gather you have these ticked to sink when you plug in your iphone check this first. Then you could try downloading them again from itunes.
You can download anything you have purchased again from I tunes by clicking on the purchased link the right hand side of itunes store link in. I have never had Ringtunes so i would make sure these are availble download before you delete. There are lots of good free apps with ringtunes and ones that enable you to simply cut a short sample from any of the tracks from your itunes list.

  • How can i improve ringtone on my Iphone 3Gs i can hardly hear it

I have two Iphones 3GS and on mine i can hadly hear when someone calls me i try defernt ring tones any sugestions?

I assume you have configured Settings -> Sounds ->" Ringer and Alerts" to maximum, and you have "Change with Buttons" set to "Off"
You can download Apps that offer different ringtones, many for free, or the first couple of ringtones for free.
You can Google Ringtones, and find various web sites offering free ringtones.  You can generally sample the ringtone on-line and then follow the instructions for downloading and installing on your iPhone.
What you are looking for are ringtones that have a penetrating sound that is difficult to miss, especially if the iPhone is in your pocket or bag.
I've found some piano sounds and Jazz Saxophone sounds can be heard quite well.
