  • SAP PI 7 Sample Scenarios

When I look through the forum, I see a lot of questions about XI sample scenarios.
However, all the results are for SAP XI. Is there any or many sample scenarios for PI 7?
The methodology is the same, but there are a few differences procedurally. I
am looking for end to end scenarios if there are any.
    Thanks for anyones help,

    Hello,
Please provide me a sample scenario for
1.IDOC-Soap-IDOC using webservice (Is it possible without BPM?)
    thanks and regards,

For SOAP adapter configuration you need to first generate the WSDL from the ID and import that WSDl into the external definition.
Use that WSDL as a strucutre.

  • Sample Scenario Step by Step

    Hi ,
Can you please send me links on various components of MDM to start with.
also provide me sample screen shots for doing the same.
    My Email:      [email protected]
    Thanks,
    Srinivasa

You can find documentation on MDM here:
    https://websmp105.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700004121872006E
As for step by step scenarios it really depends on what you are trying to do.  But if you are new to MDM perhaps you would be interested in looking at a blog series I wrote on integrating and syndicating between MDM and R/3

  • Sample Scenario For File To File.

    Hi All,
I just wanted to know if I can create a sample File to File scenario using a file placed in local hard disk i.e. in C: Drive (Source) and D: Drive (Target)?
If no, please suggest me some steps to do a  File to File scenario without accessing any other servers or systems?
    Regards,
    Sreedhar, Av

    Hi Sreedhar,
Yes its possible,You can install your own FTP in your system and can use the same as file sender and receiver. You have to choose FTP option instead of NFS and specify those FTP log on details in Your communication channels. You can make use of GUILD FTP which is free ware.
Please follow the below thread that helps you in doing that
File Adapter : Access Local Folder
    Thanks,

  • Sample scenarios using JMS Adapters

    Hi Experts,
Can anyone send me sample step by step scenarios using JMS adapters e.g one scenario using JMS in the sender side and another scenario using JMS in the receiver side.
    Thanks
    Ayan

Most of the job is to be done in the Channel Adapter module for content conversion.
There's much more documentation about the File Content Conversion but most of it apply to JMS.
Can you be more specific in what you're looking for?

  • Business area and its sample scenario / example.

Hi SAP GURUS,  please suggest ASAP.
scope of business area with any simple scenario or example which we will used

    Hi,
business area is an organizational unit within accounting that represents a separate area of
operations or responsibilities in a business organization.
In a client, you can set up several business areas to which the system
can assign the postings made in all company codes defined in this
    client.
    Business Area Account Assignment
Both revenue accounting in Financial Accounting and value postings for
goods movements in Inventory Accounting can be represented separately
        for each business area.
In the following menu options, you define the rules according to which
the SAP System should determine the business area automatically.
To do this, you allocate business areas to sales areas according to
        different criteria.
        Note
A business area is defined in the module FI. You should therefore
collaborate with the financial accounting department here.
        Default settings
The standard SAP R/3 System contains three rules for determining a
        business area:
o   Rule 1: Allocation of business area for each plant and division
o   Rule 2: Allocation of business area for each sales area
o   Rule 3: Allocation of business area for each plant and item division

  • Bdoc sample scenario

    Hi Sir's/Mam's!
Any Body can send me a simple scenario regarding BDOC, Like  While Creating Sales order in CRM server It has to Replicate on R/3 server by BDOC. It will be help full for me.
Thanks In Advance, Waiting For ur Replie's......
    Vikram.C

    Hi Vikram,
BDocs are nothing but the data container. I will try to explain how the data exchange works between R/3 and CRM.
R/3 -> CRM scenario( Take an example of Customer exchange) ->
The moment you create a customer in R/3 or change any existing customer and press the save button a business transaction event gets triggered. In the R/3 plugin it creates a BAPI structure and hand it over to Middleware. Now in CRM this BAPI structure gets converted into the BDOC structure and and published to the sites. CRM validates this BDOC and persist the data to the database.
    CRM -> R/3 Scenario.
The moment you create or change any existing BP in CRM system and save it a BADI gets triggered on commit. Which creates a BDOC and send it to R/3 adaptor which converts the BDOC structure to BAPI sturcture and send it to R/3 system .R/3 accepts the BAPI structure , does the mapping, persist the data into the database and sends the confirmation back to the CRM system.
This is the general concept behind the data exchange between R/3 and CRM. Hope this will help.
<b>Reward points if my post helps!!</b>
    Best regards,
    Vikash.

  • Sample Scenario

    Dear all,
When we are creating billing for free sample & when we select F8 sys says Del doc is not relevant for billing. What can be the reason? Copy Ctrls are set. Which billing type shd be used for free sample? We only want Excise in billing.
    Rgds.

    Dear RS,
    T. Code: VOV8
check your sales doc type (say, OR), whether you have maintained Delivery-related-Billing type within Field: Billing Types, under Tab: Billing
Also, maintain Fields: Delivery Type (as LF) and Billing Type (as F8)
    T. Code: VOV7
In your item category make sure item relevent for billing is ticked and billing relevance A is maintained.
    T. Code: VTFL
Make sure you have the copy controls in VTFL for LF to your billing type (i.e. F8)
    Best Regards,
    Amit
Note: Please check my post in thread:

  • How to solve sample scenario for zeport

i am working with client veedol lubricants...
i would like to develop a actual vs target sales for month and year.
actual sales values are coming from system.
actual core materials for month and year coming from system.
target sales values are entered manually..
target core materials for month and year entered manually..
so in this case how can i approach...
whether i required to create any ztable for target sales  data..
if create table  is it required to create table maintenance genaratore ..
how those values are stored in sm30 transaction..
how can i pick sm30 values to my zreport..

U can create ZTable for target..
After creating ZTable, u need to create table maintenance in SM30.
    To create Table maintenance genetrator,
    Go to Utilities->Table maintenance generator
    Give the function group
    Authorization group .
    Maintenance type that is 1 . step or 2 . step .
Click on generate screen in the application tool bar .
Your screens will be generated .
Click on create Select the required option , save and come back
Then Create.Save. Now Table maintenance is created. which is only used to maintain data.
U need to fetch data from ZTable only.

    Maha
