Sample still showing in quality inspection stock after usage decision completed

After process order completed, we have received 100 units as a quality inspection stock. After usage decision,( QA11), I have posted 98 units to unrestricted use and 2 units to the to sample usage
98 units successfully move to unrestricted stock.
However 2 units for sample still showing quality inspection stock.
I have checked MB51, mat document number for sample is 4900000160 and movement type is 331
Do you have any idea why sample still showing in quality inspection stock. It should consumed and zero out the quality inspection stock in MMBE

Please check you MIC's control Indicators.
Is it tick on Destructive insp. under Sample tab ?
Please tick it and try again with whole process.
Destructive Insp. : You specify whether the sample is to be destroyed after inspection. This means that is no longer available. This quantity is used in the usage decision as the proposed quantity for the posting to sample.

Inspection report can be printed from QA33 t_code.
There are some pre requesites for this,
i) In material master 'Inspection with task list' and 'Check characteristics' should be activated.
ii) Inspection plan for that material should be present.
iii) Record results for these inspection characteristics and take Usage decision.
iv)In QA33 t_code, u can see 'inspection report tab' . click on that tab.
v) Give output device and see print preview.
U can see inspection report with all details.

MBBE-"Quality. inspection" stock shows Inspection lot as "Unrestricted"

Dear All,
In MMBE, a material is available in "Quality Inspection" stock.
We checked in "QA32". There we can see, it is in "Unrestricted use".
How to move the stock from "Quality Inspection" to "Unrestricted use".
Any suggestions.

For the material to go into quality stk,in the puchasing view of material master for the receiving plant tick the post to inspection stk & save.
Then do the STO the material will come automatically into quality stk.
Even if u dont tick in material master still u can receive the matl in QI stk when doing migo by selcting the QI stk.
After receiving the matl u can move it by using tcode MB1B & mvmt type321 to Unrestricted use.
IN SAP only the unrestricted can be issued to production.

Problem in BAPI for stock posting from quality inspection to unrestricted usage

I am using BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE for stock posting from quality inspection to unrestricted usage Stock against quality inspection lot(not by MB1B) using mvt type 321.The material doc gets created by the BAPI,but actual stock posting is not taking place ie.the stock doesn’t get reflected in QA33/32 and QA11 also .Can any one suggest what must be wrong?The inputs given are as follows:
GOODSMVT_HEADER:
PSTNG_DATE =30/07/2014, DOC_DATE = 30/07/2014, REF_DOC_NO = INSP LOT NO.
GOODSMVT_CODE:
GM_CODE: ‘04’ .
GOODSMVT_ITEM:
MATERIAL = MATERIAL NO
PLANT = PLANTCODE
STGE_LOC = ‘WIP’
BATCH = BATCHNO
MOVE_TYPE = ‘321’
ENTRY_QNT = 100
ENTRY_UOM = ‘EA’
ORDERID = Prd ord no.
After executing this I used BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT also. I am able to see the posted qty in MMBE,but it is not reflecting in QA11/33/32.

Thanks for the reply. Even after using FM QAVE_PROCESS_AUTO_UD,when i execute
BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE, the same thing is happening.I am unable to see the stock deducted in QA33.
Is there any input in the goods mvt bapi where we can provide inspection lot no since i believe that the goods mvt has to get connected with the inspection lot.

Quality Inspection stock and invoice

Hi,
I created a PO, GR and INV successfully. I received the stock to quality inspection. After created invoice i did MB1B stock transfer(321).
My question is when you received the stock into quality inspection how can we post an invoice for payment before transfer the stock to unrestricted? Is it correct?
What if some stock is not good and we have to return them? what is the general procedure around this?

This is correct functionality when simply using stock status of QI and unrestricted
If you want to restrict Invoice matching and payment you will have to investigate the use of Quality Management which has greater functionality

user Exit QEVA0008 in SMOD you can check the documentation.
Module for Editing Customer Function Code
This user exit allows you to activate a function key in the menu for the
usage decision.
You can freely define the description and function associated with this
function key (+FC1).
You can use this feature, for example, to revoke (reset) the usage
decision.
Refer to the documentation for function module EXIT_SAPMQEVA_008.
Functionality
This function module is called if the freely defined function (+FC1) in the menu for the usage decision transactions is called up. A prerequisite for this is the activation of the user exit QEVA0008.
Example
Using this function module, you can reset the usage decision in transactions QA12 ("Change usage decision with history") and QA14 ("Change usage decision without history").
Include LXQEVF10 contains sample coding for resetting the usage decision.
Notes
Business transaction QM68 is available for this function in the standard system. You can display a where-used list for this transaction in transaction BS33 (Display transactions).
If business transaction QM68 was carried out successfully, the system sets the inspection lot status "UDRE" - usage decision reset (system status I0297). You can display a where-used list for this status in transaction BS23 (Display system statuses).
If you want to use the function to reset the usage decision, be sure to consider the following points:
If a vendor is released (status profile in the quality info record), an update is carried out only once; this means that if the usage decision is reset, the status in the supply relationship is not corrected.
If you make the usage decision again, the inspection results will also be transferred to the batch classification.
The quality level is updated only once (when you make the initial usage decision). If the usage decision is changed, the quality level is not updated.

Quality inspected stock for the sales return material

Hi,
For the very first time I'm working on Reworking order type. There was a material from customer return. My client want to reprocess it. So for the testing purpose in quality, I activated inspection type 06 (Inspection for returns from customer) for the material and transferred it to QI. Then I created a manual inspection lot and made defects recording and usage decision as Rejected. Now my question is where will the stock go after usage decision?

hi,
655 is for returns direct to QI stck. lot may be either 05 or 06 type.
if u want than as i already suggest you assign 05 type against return order type in Configuration (SPRO).
Quality management-> Quality Inspection -> Quality Inspection -> Inspection lot Creation> Inspection at shipping-->Define inspection lot origin to delivery type.

Quality inspection stock payment block

Hi All,
I want to block the payment for the materials which comes to quality inspection stock in MIGO as I have maintained in Material Master purchasing view post to quality inspection tick.
I want payment to the vendor only after the stock goes from quality to unrestricted use .Is there any way achieving it ?

Dear,
Please try this in transaction OQB1 and Change the QM control key used in the QM view for the material.
Or use SPRO > Quality Management > QM in Logistics > QM in procurement > Define Control key path.
In the details of the key, set the Invoice Block indicator as well as whether it should be a warning message or an error message.

Automatic batch determination for quality inspection stock

Hello, gurus.
Could you please, help me with the following problem: I have received on the certain storage location some quantity of material maintained in batches into quality inspection stock with 501 movement type. Now I would like to make reverse posting, but I do not want to use cancellation of the document, I need to use 502 movement type and determine batch from quality inspection stock with automatic batch determination in MIGO transaction. I assigned Batch search procedure to 502 movement type and created all necessary condition records. I use Checking Group for Availability Check CH and Checking Rule for Availability Check 03 where I include quality inspection stock. However no batch can be determined. But if I use 331 movement type, everything is OK, the batch is determined without any problems. If I manually put batch and valuation type for the material, the system shows no error.
Why it is not possible to do automatic batch determination for quality inspection stock then?

OK, let us talk abou it. I check it in my system, actually 502 can work, but I can't trigger BM determination by 501. Maybe BM determination onlys to select some existing batches for consumption. For 501 in my pratice I can select all the existing batches to be added or just add a new batch.

FG material in Prod Ord once 101, goes to Quality Inspection Stocks

I would like to ask, why does one of our Finished Goods in our production order once confirmation 101 was done to it, the stock went to the Quality Inspection Stocks? We have check its material master data Quality Management Tab and below are what we see on it:
in the Procurement Data Section:
QM proc. active was TICK
QM Control Key = 0000 (No active functions, info message)
in the General Data Section:
Inspection Setup was not TICK (no inspection set-up was maintain for the finished goods)
That is why we wonder why it still been cue to QI stock once 101 was done? how could we check this and where else does this things occuring? please guide and help us to resolve the problem of ours.

Need to send data, after Usage decision in quality inspection (QA11)

After Usage decision in quality inspection (QA11), i need to send some data like material number, qty etc to external database or to external party. is there anyway i can achive this in real time? real time means, it should send the appropriate data to external party after usage decision is made.

Hi,
You can change results recording in case the MIC in the inspection plan of the lot are marked as "long term characteristics", else it wont be possible to change result recording.
you can change the UD code only after giving the Usage decision.
you cannot change the defects recording.

Quality inspection stock

Hi experts ,
Whenever a material is procured from a particular vendor then at the time of posting goods receipt that material by default to be posted in Quality inspection stock alone not in Unrestricted use stock,i.e. posting in unrestricted use stock should not be allowed at all . If the vendor going to differ means then it can be posted in Unrestricted us stock .
Kindly help me how to do this.

Hello Neo,
There are two options in this case,
1. If using QM module, then as suggested by Srinivas, you need to maintain QM info record for the vendor which are subject to Quality material.
2. If you are no using QM module then you need to flag mark "Post to Inspection Stock" check box in purchasing view of material master. But in this case, the material will be posted as QI stock for all the vendor, however you can change it during PO and GR.

Return posting to quality inspection stock

Hi QM Gurus!
How can i post from unrestricted to quality insp stock? I am trying to use movement type 322(quality insp to unrestricted-reversal) and an error message says "Change the inspection stock of material 1101 in QM only".
When i activated the inspection type 08 (stock transfer inspection), the movement type 322 works. However, when i do transfer posting from one storage location to another, an inspection lot is created.
So my problem is, how do i allow posting from unrestricted to quality insp stock and no inspection lots are created when i transfer the material from one storage location to another???
I would appreciate if anyone could help me.

you can reverse the stock positing providing following prerequisite have been meet,
A usage decision has been made for the inspection lot.
The goods in the inspection lot have been posted from inspection stock to blocked stock or unrestricted-use stock.
If you posted the goods to a stock other than blocked stock or unrestricted-use stock (for example, to scrap), you must first post the stock back to blocked stock before you can reverse the original stock posting.
Reversing Stock Postings
Choose Logistics ® Materials Management ® Inventory Management ® Goods Movement ® Goods receipt ® For purchase order ® PO number known.
The initial screen for creating a goods receipt for a purchase order appears.
In the field for the movement type, enter 102 (goods receipt for a purchase order into warehouse - reversal).
In the field for the purchase order, enter the purchase order number for the original goods receipt.
You can copy the purchase order number from the inspection lot.
Choose Enter to display the selection screen for the purchase order items.
Select the purchase order item for which you want to create the goods receipt and set the Stock type indicator to the stock to which the goods were originally posted with the usage decision (for example, F for unrestricted-use stock or S for blocked stock).
Save the goods receipt and exit the Materials Management component.
Choose Logistics ® Quality management ® Quality inspection ® Inspection lot ® Usage decision ® Change with history.
The initial screen for changing a usage decision appears.
Enter the number of the inspection lot for which you previously made the usage decision and choose Usage decision (UD).
To cancel the inspection lot, choose Usage decision ® Functions ® Cancel lot in the usage decision screen.
