Sample Unit Tests on Role Redesign
Hi All,
I'm working in a Project in which we undertaken the resposibility of creating new set of roles and the new roles are built.
Now, the client is asking for unit tests.
Can someone please provide me with some "sample unit tests" for this Role Redesign.
Regards,
PreethiHi,
Speak to the test team on your project, they will have templates, methods etc.
Basic steps are
1. Login with appropriate user & role
2. Run transaction to completion. If errors then capture input data & actions & corresponding error messages (texts, SU53's etc).
3. Fix & retest if required, include SU24 changes etc
Your security team will be able to help with any of the above that is new to you. -
Need Sample Unit Test Plan templates for SD
Hi Experts,
I am in need of some SD unit test plan templates used in any of your implementations.
Pls Help.Dear Preethi
As already expressed, you are asking the confidential document which nobody would like to share.
However, AS-IS will be prepared by Core team people and your duty is to go through the process in depth.
May be the AS-IS from SD purview, I can list as an example as how it should be
The excel sheet of AS-IS header tabs will have to contain the following header tabs
- Scenario like Exports, Domestic etc,
- Under this scenario, Groups like OE, Aftermarket, Stock Transfer etc.,
- Under this Groups, Process like Business Plan, Scheduling, Preshipment activities, Post shipment activities etc.,
- Finally this process has to be break down into a detailed list of activities.
So you have to go through these process in detail.
As for as testing is concerned, there is no need to check the customer master.
All you have to do is to carry out all standard T.Codes like order creation, create delivery, PGI, Billing and Excise Invoice. Again try to cancel all documents from billing to sale order and ensure that you are able to cancel those documents. Check for the FI implication on the COGS and material cost.
Also while testing, you can also check whether you are able to create one delivery against multiple sale orders and one invoice against multiple deliveries. If not successful, analyse the reason for split, maintain the required datas in masters and retry the process.

Alternative Unit of Measure in QM
Hi
We have have a product that is managed in a base Unit of Measure (Kg) and also in an alternative UOM (Dozen), say 1Kg = 1Dozen. Please note 1 Dozen = 12 EA, so posting in possible as 5 EA / 6 EA as well
I have following requirements:
1) to post inspection stock in alternative UoM as well as sometimes in base UoM
2) to calculate sample size on the basis of Alternate UoM
Please tell me settings will be required to achieve the above requirements?Dear Chris,
Following are my views on issues you raised:
1) Posting inspection stock in alternate UOM, not phisible as you are only alowed to post the stock in which inspection lot is generated. Even inspection lot will be created based on base unit of masurement.
2) To calculate sample size on the basis of Alternate UoM : This is possible, while making quality plan (QP01) while defining the characteristics there is option of mentioning sample unit of measurement for each characteristics. Lot can be generated in KG's but you can do sampling in nos, its possible.
pl. revert.

Inpection point results table- sample size- FIX-1
I am having some single reading result recording (sample size- FIX-1) in my in process inspection.
But I am unable to find the right tables where these informations are stored.
I checked in QASE, but no readings are available. In QAMR table it is showing mean value of all my in process readings only.
Which table will provide seperate readings which I entered during in in process inspection. Or inspn point wise readings table.
Thx in advance

Mapping Physical Sample Quantity - Inspection Plan Characteristics Quantity
Hello,
There is a requirment to map Physical Sample Quantity QPRS-MENGE (Size of the Physical Sample) with PLMK-PRUEFEINH (Sample Quantity Factor for Sample(Mult. Sample Unit of Msr.)) based upon Inspection Lot.
Thanks and Regards,

Quality samples during production
Hi gurus,
I have 2 quires so please help.
1. I have a requirement that my customer (for costing reasons) wants to monitor the samples taken during production.
How can we monitor this....I tried to confirm scrap quantity @ the phase of quality, but confirming scrap is not allowed, beside, he needs to know the quality samples separately from the production scrap.
2. Another problem is the sample size in the inspection lot, lets say it was planned to take 3 samples but actually we took 4 samples, how can we update this number in the inspection lot.The exit depends on what you want to actually do and when. You may find that you need the exit to just kick off a program that runs in batch a few minutes later to do what you want it to to avoid locks. You could use and of the following possibly.
QPAP0001 Enhancement - plan reading
QPAP0002 Enhancement for material/plan assignment, plan selection
QPAP0003 Conversion of sample unit of measure to material unit
QPGR0020 Customer Exit ExtensionParameter ALE Interface Code Group
QPL10001 QM: Inspection lot creation - editing work area on creation
QPL10003 Sample calculation for inspection lot without plan
QPL10004 User subscreen for displaying additional data in insp. lot
QPL10007 QM: Inspection lot creation - change QM order type
Once the sample size is calculated I don't think there is a way to update it once resutls recordings have started.

Unit to be inspected is always 1
Hi all,
For a 01 inspection type material, i had activated the indicator 100% Inspection in the QM view.
If we set this indicator, the system should treat the inspection lot size as the sample size.
But while result recording, the unit to inspected is always 1.
Kindly advice
Regards
HariHi,
1.Check the material master Base unit of measure & Task list sample unit of measure in Insp plan, Both units should be same.
2.Maintain the sampling procedure & Make sure that sample size should be 1.
3.After updating, Check with the new Insp lot for RR.

Sample quantity consumption in QA11
Dear All,
I have come across a scenerio where in sample unit of measure is other than inspection lot unit of measure and we want to post sample stock in the other uom only.
Scenerion-
Inspection lot is created in the base unit of measure 'BT'. At the time of testing we are taking the tablets from the packed product. Now produced material base UOM is BT but I am taking samples in tabletes because we dont want to waste entire bottle.
Now at the time of sample posting we want system to consume sample quantity in 'Tablets' and not in bottles. But system is not giving such kind of flexibility over there.
Is this requirement can be fulfilled by some of workaround ? Pls. suggest.
Regards
Amit PatilYou need to maintain a conversion between your bottle and tablets in your material master. Then create your inspection plan for tablets and assign the material to it.
In hindsight, your BUOM really should be tablets and not a bottle. Typically it is recommended that the smallest utlized UOM is what you want to use for your BUOM.

Gurus,
I have created a sampling scheme & assigned it in sampling procedure. When i record results if the sample size is 15 if i have
inspected only 12 & enter the value the system is giving an error msg,
Diagnosis
You can directly confirm the number of nonconforming units or the system calculates the number of nonconforming units from the number of sample units beyond the tolerance range.
System Response
The number of nonconforming units cannot be greater than the number of inspected test units.
Procedure
Check and correct your entry.
What should be done to overcome this bcoz in real time all the sample might not be inspectedAre you sure you had the numbers in the right colums? I've found that people easily confuse and put the wrong values in the colums "No. inspected" and "No. defects".
Also, what was the scope you set for your characteristics?
If you had fixed scope on the characteristics, the system is expecting 15 results and will throw errors if you don't record 15.
From your error message however, it looks like you have attempted to record a higher number of defective units then what was inspected. So if you make 1000 widgets and in QM you are inspecting 15, you can't record more then 15 defective units. If you inspect more then 15, then you have to change the number of inspected units to the actual number of units you actually inspected. Then you can confirm up to that many defective units.

Table to see Inspection result recording
Mentors
We have material where in there are intermittenat 60 operations to be recorded based on 3 stages of the meterial .All the operations have single characteristic value .Results are recored for the lots whcih are created based on the stage
1) For stage new arrival result recodering is done for 10-25 operations
2) Dispute stage result recodering is done for 31-46 operations
3) Recycle stage result recodering is done for 50-66 operations
now i want to know How to check in which of the operation , results are recorded in table ? ( Table sequence to derive values stored for the results for the operations )Hi,
Check in the following tables.
QAES : Sample unit table
QASR : Sample results for inspection characteristic
QAMV : Characteristic specifications for inspectic
QAPP : Inspection point.

Dear Gurus,
I am facing problem I have maintained formula for paricular MIC,e.g Zn-for this MIC i have to calculate the percantage as 100 minus balance of the remaining MICs eg i have maintained in this form--1
100-(C9010C9020C9030C9040C9050C9060C9070C9080C9090)
Please note i have maintain the folowing parameters in control indicators for the MICs from 10 to 90 in the Inspection plan
1) Sampling procedure
2) Required chara
3) single results
4) Fixed scope
5)Record measured values
6)print
7) documentation
and only for the MIC which formula is maintain i have maintained CAL CHAR.
when i creat a purchase and do migo an inpsection lot is gnerated.
when go to t.code QA32 to record results in RECORD RESULTS CHARACTERISTICS OVERVIEW
I HAVE NOTICED THE FOLLOWING PROBLEMS
1) FORMULA IS NOT BEEN CALCULATED.
2)INSPECTED COLCUMN NEXT TO SINGLE VALUE IS AN INPUT SCREEN.i.E-Number of Inspected Sample Units--(WHAT I MEAN ITS NOT GREY FEILD-THE VALUES HERE SHOULD BE 1 AND GREY )
3)ALSO THE SINGLE VALUE TAB IS GREY NOT USUAL-IF CLICK ON IT THE TAB DROP DOWN.
I HAVE RUN THIS SCENRIO IN MY DEVELOPMENT SERVER AND IT WORKED PREFECTLY,BUT MY CLIENT SERVER I AM GETTING THIS PROBLEM
WHAT ARE SETTING I AM MISSING.
Regards
Ram
Edited by: RAMKUMAR WARIYAR on Feb 24, 2009 4:41 PMDear Ram
1) As the sample size was 1 system was taking this as Summarised recording & that is the reason why the system is showing 3 tabs instead 4
2) Please do the following setting in Config : SPRO>QM> Basic Setting> maintain setting for plant level>Plant> Result recording > untick Summ. Recording n=1.
If you had ticked this means that the results recording will always be summarized if n = 1 (for example when inspecting one unit or 1 ml).
please do check now whether the formula is working for a new lot and you have 4 tabs in RR
Was a good question to solve

Hi,
This maybe a most basic and easy to answer problem - We have just started to implement xMII on-site and our problem is:
We are trying to create a line grid which will compare two sets of data against each other, basically a Value versus a batch number, we have managed to this on one set of data coming form Oracle without any problems but on the second set coming from PI via a ODBC call this doesn't seem possible. At this stage we have tried every possible data column, label attribute etc. combination based on the supplied documentation. XY graph it is possible but the line between data points is required. I am wondering is the Oracle timestamp ignored as it isn't imported with the data - based on an export of the data from the Graph - where as the PI timestamp is, could this have anything to do with ? The timestamp is not required on the x Axis just the batch Number, timestamps are not important on this data as it is a batch on batch comparison and timestamps are irrelevant.
Thanks in advance,
EmmettSam,

QM Inspection Characteristics table
Hi,
I am designing Inspection Report for QM Module, the thing is i am unable to find the tables for the data
1. Characteristic Specifications
2. Characteristic Results
like Characteristic Related complete data. And also can any one tell me what is the relation between Operation & Charaterisitics in the Inspection Processing?
Like the table used for that !!
Waiting for ur reply....
Regards,
SrinathHi,
Following is the list of related tables.
QALS - Inspection lot record : This is the table where you can get all the inspection lot numbers
QAMV - Characteristic specifications for inspection processing
QAMR - Characteristic results during inspection processing
QASR - Sample results for inspection characteristics
QASE - Results table for the sample unit
QASE and QASR give the results for individual samples and partial samples
To get the operation for the particular characteristic, call function module QEEA_READ_SINGLE_OPERATION
Pass AUFPL from QALS, VORGLFNR from QAMR and PRUEFLOS from QAMR to the function module as shown below.
The FM returns the value of operation VORNR in structure e_qapo.
call function 'QEEA_READ_SINGLE_OPERATION'
exporting
i_aufpl = <fs_qals>-aufpl
i_plnkn = <fs_qamr>-vorglfnr
i_prueflos = <fs_qamr>-prueflos
importing
e_qapo_wa = e_qapo
exceptions
not_found = 1
others = 2
Hope you'll find this useful.

Radhika
