Sample versions of songs I bought are in my library

Bought a full album and somehow, every other track is the 90 second sample from the store. I right clicked, and delete wasn't an option.
How can I remove this crap to enjoy my album?

If the file is still in the original location, and if its tag data has not been changed since it was originally added, and if there has been no change to the "copy files..." setting, then iTunes will recognize it as a duplicate and will not create a new library entry.
Try it on a few folders so you can see how it behaves before you do thousands.

The songs I bought are not in the file of the songs I bought.

I bought more or less 80 songs but now in the file where are the songs I bought there are only 18 songs (the latest I bought) and the songs I bought before these I can't download them. Sign out of the iTunes Store, Sign in again. You should be able to download your past purchases from iTunes Store > Purchased > Music > Not on this computer. Alternatively look in the recycle bin for the files that have been deleted, then drag & drop these into ..\iTunes\iTunes Media\Automatically Add to iTunes.

I bought an album. The songs are incomplete, about a minute in length only. How can I redownload them?

If the problem persists after redownloading contact the iTunes Store support staff through the report a problem links in your account history, or via Contact Support.

Does the track play correctly in Quicktime Player? If it does then it is an iTunes issue. If it doesn't then it is possible the file was not completely downloaded, or is corrupt.

What happens if you restart iTunes?
Look in the Recently Added playlist. What happens if in the Get Info window you add the lettter (any letter actually) "X" to the end of the artist name, then remove it?
Right click on a problem file in the Recently Added playlist and then Show In Playlist > Music Do you see it?
Delete the files from iTunes but do not let iTunes move them to the trash. Now go to where they are located in Finder and add them again. Does that work?
If you don't see it in Recently Added, make a new playlist window and drag the files from where iTunes put them to an empty playlist. Do they show?
Please post a response. I make various suggstions here at least once a day in response to this issue and I have no idea if they work for people.

a week ago i bought about 15 songs on my ipad, then i downloaded the songs on my ipad to my computer so that i could transfer them onto my ipod as well. about a week later i made a playlist on my computer and when i plugged my ipod into the computer to download the playlist, they were gone. also after plugging my ipod into the computer, i realized that it did not turn on, and probably broke from water damage because i ran with it in the rain. would my ipod being broken, have anything to do with the songs being missing? theyre missing on my ipad as well. is theyre any way i can retrieve the missing songs? or be redeemed?

I'm going on a hike tomorrow with my dad and I'd been reluctant to download iTunes on my new laptop but finally decided to install it so I could have new music for the trip. I bought nearly ninety new songs, all of which appeared in my library, and on my account they are shown with my old songs. But my iPod isn't syncing the new music? Really I planned to start from scratch and not have them together, but that would be fine if they would just download. I don't understand. They're in my library, but won't download to my iPod.

You can also create a Smart Playlist with the option "Kind contains Protected". Since purchased music is of kind "Protected AAC File", that playlist will contain all music and videos you've purchased.

Recently when clicking play on any song the ipod will shuffle through as many songs as there are in the album or playlist until it reaches the end without playing any songs. It also does not go through each song. For example:
a 62 song playlist. I start on song 16. Immediatly the song will shuffle: 16-26-54-62 and then back to the main screen. Also when the songs are shuffling the play button in the top right corner is on.
Music will play if i start from track one with shuffle turned off and repeat turned on. But then i am limited each time to 1-5 songs.
Ipod has been in excellent working order since this has happened.
any suggestions on how to fix?

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

The file name of many songs are in my library but can't be heard or found, why?

My itunes library has been off-line for a year or more and when i updated everything my song file names are there and some songs are audible but the majority of them are not and my computer says it can't find the song in my computer, what do i do?

I am having the same problem. I spent three hours on the phone with Apple Reps last night. They first said that they would have to reinstate ? my permissions, which they did (I had also lost some music) but after an hour of downloads, I still had no tones. Spoke with another Rep and they said if I purchased the Tones on Istore they should show up. I had. They didn't. Then said that it could be the "older" music was no longer compatible and it MUST be purchased through Itunes Store to show up in Tones automatically. So...I bought almost $20 of Tones last night after I hung up, and NONE Of them show up in my Tones folder. I have tried everything. I cannot move them by drag and drop.
This has been an ongoing problem for me for over a year, and so far, I cannot get any help.

Are you working with Acrobat or Photosohp? (You mention both PDF files and photos, so it's not clear.)

My Itunes library deleted all my music except two of the songs I bought from the store. They're all still on my phone, but I can't seem to be able to move them all back. I can get the music back another way, but I want to prevent it from happening again.

I'm not sure why it deleted everything. I had rearranged and cleaned up my desktop earlier, but I know for a fact I didn't delete anything. Now, I go onto my Itunes and only two songs I bought off Itunes are there. I had more that I bought, but even the ones I took off my CDs aren't there anymore. I had over four hundred songs and they're all gone. I can put all the music back on because I have it saved elsewhere, but I want to prevent this from happening again. Does anyone know what might have happened? I really want to keep using Itunes, but its becoming more of a hassle than anything.

I have a Sonos system in my house and suddenly discovered that many songs I bought off of iTunes years ago are 'grayed out' when I try to play them from my iPhone or do not appear as options at all when I try to play them on Sonos from my overall music library. I agree it was not all communicated real well, but in your case it will work out. You missed the program where you could have upgraded 100 tracks for 30 cents each (=$30) but now you can do it via Match (=$25). It works pretty simply, per this document:

Yes. If you subscribe to iTunes Match, you can download your previously purchased music again in the iTunes Plus format. To do so:
You need to delete the original DRM song from your library first. Doing this enables you to download the song again in the iTunes Plus format from iTunes in the Cloud.
Click the Purchased tab in the iTunes Store.
Click Music.
Locate the artist of the song you want to upgrade.
Click the iCloud Download icon next to the song you want to upgrade.
Just don't forget to put the Plus files on your hard drive -- properly backed up of course -- and to cancel the Match subscription before the second year rolls around!

Diesel vdub asked a question which you have answered yourself, although you don't appear to realise it.
He/she (sorry diesel, I don't know) asked: "Is the song actually on the computer?" and you stated that: "I transfered all songs onto the new computer" and "I looked in the folder but the songs just cant be found" so the copy hasn't worked.
You also mention manually copying, as opposed to a previous (presumably different) method.
How are you trying to copy these songs? Do the copy first and make sure that works. If your first method doesn't work, try a diifferent one - such as the manual copy you referred to (copying onto a memory stick, card, disc etc. etc.)
Until you sort out why your method of copying hasn't worked, everything else you "try" is a waste of time.

Can't play the songs I bought from iStore

I can't play the songs I bought from iStore.
It complain about the autorization, but how much I try it seems like I can't get this computer to get authorized.
I login to iStore with my only login account, buy the song, and it gets downloaded. Then when I try to play the song, I asks me again about the authorization. I use the same accout login, and it reply that this computer is now authorized... again. But the songs stil can't be played.
If I click again on the song the same loop above repeats itself.
Frustrastion = I can't play the songs I have bought.

I, also, have that authorization nonsense (I am the administrator, and only user of the computer). But, still, I cannot make any changes. You will have to report to someone at iTunes, if you try to play the downloaded songs from iTunes.
Which version, has it always been that way?
Also, did you change your username/password, if things were working fine, at one time?
I had your problem when I, originally, signed up with my AOL address. When I quite AOL, I got an Apple id, and I could not access my songs from AOL days for over three months. Eventually, someone at Apple helped me.
