Sample xorg.conf files not found

Hi, everyone
I'm installing xorg, and need to refer some sample xorg.conf, but some of the links on the xorg wiki are not found. I think they should be updated.

Thank you for reply!
I have set up gnome, but using open source driver (vesa) for my  graphic card (VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc M22 [Mobility Radeon X300])

  • Process.conf file not found after installing Sun One Portal Server 6.0

    This extract is from the Sun One Portal Server development guide for logging error or logs in log file. This says that to generate the log, entry should be done to enable logging in process.conf file. I could not find any such file after installing Sun One Portal Server 6.0.

    Reporting Errors to the Robot Log File
    When problems occur, robot application functions should return an appropriate response status code (such as REQ_ABORTED), and they should also log an error inthe error log file.
    To use the error-logging functionality, you must include the file log.h in thesdk/robot/include/libcs directory. After you have ensured that log.h exists in the correct place, you can use the cslog_error macro to report errors. The prototype is in the following format:
    cslog_error(int n, int loglevel, char* errorMessage)
    The first parameter is not currently used (may be used in the future) You can pass
    this as any integer.
    The second parameter is the log level. When the log level is less than or equal to the log level setting in the file process.conf, the error message is written in the robot.log.

    Since removing the log settings from magnus.conf failed to fix the problem, the log settings are probably not the source of the problem.
    Did anything else - e.g. ColdFusion configuration changes - occur at about the same time you changed the log settings?

    Hey Thomas. I recently moved the EXS samples to my external harddrive and had similar problems. I posted on this board and got everything worked out. Follow this thread... it might help:

  • Http404-File not found  - again

    First let me say I've scoured this forum and cannot solve my problem.
    I was attempting to expose my server to the internet and appear to have done a fine job of messing things up. I have been using AppEx 1.6, 10g db and the Http server from the companion cd since January. Now all I get is the 404- file not found error.

    Usually if an image in a page cannot be retrieved, Firefox does not redirect the entire page to an error message; the area of the image is just left blank. So this is not normal.
    On the error page, what do you see in the address bar, if anything?
    To test whether one of your extensions might be the culprit, could you test some problem pages in Firefox's Safe Mode? That's a standard diagnostic tool to deactivate extensions and some advanced features of Firefox. More info: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]].
    You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:
    * "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
    * Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
    Not all add-ons are disabled: Flash and other plugins still run
    After Firefox shuts down, a small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (''not'' Reset).
    Any difference?

  • Xorg.conf file idea..

    i had an idea: would it be possible to make a large database of xorg.conf files for certain laptops? i found a list of "howto linux" on different models of lappys...
    for example, i have a sony vaio pcg-tr3a, and i'm struggling to get my xorg file to work right, so i would head on over to the data base and search for my computer model...
    would this work?
    sv

    <soapbox>
    ok. so i guess this idea would not work.. now i am seeing but how bout if laptop users just wrote a wiki entry for there laptop? like... hardware specific stuff...
    for example: i figured out that i have an intel wireless card and i needed a closed source intel2200-fw or something to get it to work. i went to the wireless networking wiki, but how bout it if i could have found a wiki on my model lappy (fat chance maybe...?)
    that said : "ok, for this lappy you need 915resolution hack, intel firmware driver for your wirless, and i810driver for your graphics, also you may want to add this to your xorg.conf to get trackpad scrolling to work" and then also "and btw, to get Fn keys working go here"
    so it would be small tutorials helpful to few people with same laptops and it would be extremly confinient... and for someone just getting into linux... a quick guide to get everything set up right step by step would be helpful.. granted, arch does not hold your hand... and i think it shouild be that way... we learn a lot trying different things and reading wikis over and over again...
    </soapbox>
    ok, thats all

  • How to embed audio to my website using quicktime when I get "file not found

    hi,
    i've been trying to embed audio into my website all night and I get a file not found message even though I;ve checked 100 times and all files are where links say they should be..
    but even just linking to audio (mp4) files won't work...
    everything is o.k. with non-audio links on my website - only the mp4 audio can't be found.
    can anyone help me? or post the correct code?
    I've tried using these formats..
    <EMBED SRC="anymovie.mov" HEIGHT=176 WIDTH=136>
    <embed
    src="http://www.crossandthrone.com/.samples/qt/sample-reference2.mov"

    controller="true" bgcolor="#666666"

    the pages that should play audio just have a quicktime file with a question mark on them

  • [SOLVED] == ERROR: file not found: `/sbin/dmsetup'

    [EDIT] A much simpler way to deal with this is to explicitly ignore the kernel update during a full system update:
    pacman -Syu --ignore linux
    Then explicitly update the kernel alone:
    pacman -S linux
    [EDIT] First, after a full system update I had to move the STUB kernel image from the UEFI directory back to /boot, them recreate the images a second time. The systemd service moved it back to the UEFI directory.
    [EDIT] The use of 'mdadm_udev' in HOOKS= also seems to be no longer just 'preferred' to the 'mdadm' hook but instead is now mandatory.
    I've read the news item...
    Changes to LVM
    2013-02-12 - Thomas Bächler
    With lvm2 2.02.98-3, we now utilize lvmetad to activate LVM volumes automatically. This implies the following changes:
        The lvm2 initramfs hook now requires the udev hook.
        The use_lvmetad = 1 must be set in /etc/lvm/lvm.conf. This is the default now - if you have a lvm.conf.pacnew file, you must merge this change.
        You can restrict the volumes that are activated automatically by setting the auto_activation_volume_list in /etc/lvm/lvm.conf. If in doubt, leave this option commented out.
        If you need monitoring (needed for snapshots), run systemctl enable lvm-monitoring.service.
        The lvmwait kernel command line option is no longer needed and has no effect.
    If you run pacman -Syu and update device-mapper, linux and lvm2 at the same time, you will get an error message that /sbin/dmsetup is missing. Run mkinitcpio -p linux again after the update to avoid any problems.
    ...and I do get the message...
    ==> ERROR: file not found: `/sbin/dmsetup'
    ...but after a full system update with...
    pacman -Syu
    ...when I execute...
    mkinitcpio -p linux
    ...this is what I get...
    Building image from preset: 'default'
    /boot/vmlinuz-linux -c /etc/mkinitcpio.conf -g /boot/initramfs-linux.img
    ERROR:specified kernel image does not exist: `/boot/vmlinuz-linux'
    Building image from preset: 'fallback'
    /boot/vmlinuz-linux -c /etc/mkinitcpio.conf -g /boot/initramfs-linux-fallback.img -S autodetect
    ERROR:specified kernel image does not exist: `/boot/vmlinuz-linux'
    So of course if I reboot I get the dreaded 'No volume groups found' message.
    I should mention that I use the systemd path and service to move the kennel after it has been updated.

    Just to confirm. You did all these steps, right?
    EDIT: I just noticed something:
    KairiTech wrote:HOOKS="base udev autodetect sata mdadm usbinput keymap encrypt lvm2 filesystems timestamp shutdown"
    Replace
    mdadm
    with
    mdadm_udev
    . Maybe this is nothing, but it is recommended to use this one instead of the other.
    NEW EDIT: Expecially this one

  • File Not Found Error on Fresh MX7 Installation

    After spending days getting CFMX 7.0.2 installed on a CentOS5.3 (production) server running Apache 2.2.3 and WHM/cPanel 11, by religiously following Bill Mitchell's lifesaving guide, CF is up and running but I cannot access the administrator or anything else in user public_html directories.
    If I place a simple foo bar test file in the /usr/local/apache/htdocs/testfile.cfm directory, I can call it at http://[IPaddress]/testfile.cfm and it parses properly.
    However, if I place the same file at /home/cfusion/public_html/testfile.cfm and call it at http://[IPaddress]/~cfusion/testfile.cfm, I get a CF-generated 404 "File Not Found" error.
    cfusion is a cPanel account I created via WHM prior to installing ColdFusion as a repository for my CFIDE directory.
    If I place a symlink for /usr/local/apache/htdocs/CFIDE -> /home/cfusion/public_html/CFIDE:"File Not Found". If I cp -R my CFIDE into htdocs: "File Not Found." These files are physically there. I can easily verify that of course. But CF is still saying File Not Found. In fact, if I disconnect Apache - JRun, Apache finds the files all by itself no problem. They are definitely there.
    I thought this might be a permissions issue, but all my .cfm files are nobody:root 775.
    Here's what I'm seeing in the exception.log:

    I guess maybe I need to know where the config for webroots is set from the CF/JRun perspective? I'm a decent hand with web server admin stuff, but despite being a CF dev for 10 years, CF admin stuff is still a bit over my head. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. I'm at my wit's end!

    Thanks Mack. I set verbose to true in my httpd.conf, restarted Apache, restarted CF, but I can't see any difference in the logging. Errors seem the same, and no additional info.
    The Apache error_log file is filled with cryptic stuff that looks like it's referencing JRun. Does any of this mean anything to you? Is there another log file I should be looking at?

  • File Not Found Error running JSP demos

    I'm not sure what is going on, but it appears that every time I try to run a jsp, the server looks in the document root where it errors out with a file not found error. I've seen others with this type of problem but I haven't seen a solution. Anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks.

    1: Double check the port number that your Tomcat Server is using. (TOMCAT_HOME/conf/server.xml).
    2: check you IP. This is not the 'localhost' IP (not sure if it is LAN or real IP). So it may change dynamically.
    3: Check for Firewalls. Also, since you are not using localhost, you will have to make sure you traverse all the firewalls built around your system. If you have a router (home), windows XP, or some other firewall, make sure the appropriate ports are opened. If you are behind a corporate firewall, or your ISP closes ports... your kinda out of luck until you find a way to cheat around them.
    2: Try just using just "/ValidateUser.jsp" as long as it is one the same domain as the Form. This will make it less likely to break, should your IP change.

  • File not found error for php

    Today i installed php and nginx at my laptop. I found there is always a error "File not found." when I visit 127.0.0.1/index.php if I put index.php in /tmp or subfolder of /tmp.
    But if i put index.php in other folder, there is no such problem
    Is there anyone who know why?
    [hongy19@Archlinux http]$ cat /etc/nginx/nginx.conf |grep -C 3 -i tmp
            location ~ \.php$ {

    [hongy19@Archlinux http]$ cat /etc/php/php.ini |grep -i open_base

    Hi Dan,
    If you had searched you would have found out how to make this work.
    Search on "crdb_adoplus.dll" or "useLegacy" and you'll find the answer. As well as setting your framework to full and not the client.

  • File Not found error when calling Form Post Method to a JSP from JSP Portlet

    I have built a set of JSP forms using post method to call other JSPs. Normally, the code looks like
    <form name="MyForm" action="MyJsp.jsp" method="post">
    I migrated the calling form containing this code to a portlet, but not the MyJsp.jsp. When I submit the form, I get a file not found in Jserv.log
    Exception:javax.servlet.ServletException: java.io.FileNotFoundException: D:\servlet\RegisterCompany.jsp (The system cannot find the file specified)
    [14/06/2001 13:59:59:679 PDT] JspServlet: unable to dispatch to requested page: Exception:javax.servlet.ServletException: java.io.FileNotFoundException: d:\oracle\isuites\apache\apache\MyJsp.jsp (The system cannot find the file specified)
    I notice that launching the calling jsp from a portlet, my opriginal context that uses ../Apache/Apache/htdocs is not being searched for the JSp. Why is this? Moreover, I try to set up an Alias in httpd.conf file to the this director and use it with the jsp in the action tag, but still get an error that my jsp servlets/Myjsp can't be found. Why is it insiting on looking at servlets context instead of htdocs.
    I have none of these issues outside of Portal30 using IAS.
    regard

    Initially, I couldn't do this unless I moved tghe jsp's up to the root directory of IAS, i.e ../Apache/Apache. Nomrally, htdocs is my doc directory for IAS. I could not do http:\\myUrl\htdocs\myJsp. If I tgried this, I got an error in Apache error logg that said can't find file ..\htdocs\htdocs\MyJsp.jsp.
    If I just tried the the URL http:\\myUrl\MyJsp.jsp with Jsp file in htdocs, I would get an error in the Jserve log that file d:\oracle\isuites\apache\apache\MyJsp.jsp could not be found. Once I moved the file MyJsp to Apache/Apache directory, it could be found using http:\\myUrl\MyJsp.jsp. Later, I delted these files and kept the ones in htdocs and they continued to work.
    I'm confused why launching pages through portal isn't consistant with Apache Standards. Where is the documentation that tells me how to configure context and aliases for pages launched from portal pages?

    Passing information using Portal is different than just using Apache/Jserv. Does it work in portal if you use the absolute path?

    Portal will not be on the same relative path as your Apache, so you may need to adjust your action somehow.
