Samson Go Mic Is Not Installing

HI, I have a Samson GoMic, It says on their website that the native drivers on your computer are enough to make the usb mic work, but it doesnt. I have tried to update driver ,but it says that there is no available driver.  I have an HP Envy 6Gb Windows
8 m6 Sleekbook , ive seen forum posts that say GoMic Really doesn't work on Win8, you have to upgrade it to 8.1. What I wanna ask is , Do I have any chance of getting this mic to work at all, and Do I have to Upgrade my laptop to 8.1?  I really need
your help, Thanks.

Has anyone found a solution either on Microsoft or Samson's website?  This problem seems to exist for Windows 8 and 8.1.  I'm using Windows 8.1 and I'm having problem where Windows 8.1 tries to install the driver (it's "plug and play")
and the device is not recognized.  In the Devices and Printers, the Samson GoMic has a yellow exclamation mark.  If you right-click, you have the option to Troubleshoot but this does not result in a solution.  Samson does not have drivers because
they state the device should be recognized.  The Samson GoMic works on my Windows 7 computer.

    Hello,
I have an integrated webcam that has not  been working for approx 6 months! I have updated the  Suyin driver/software from Gateway.com. It installs with no problems. I have the webcam icon on
my toolbar and I am able to open the help menu for the software and directions on how to use the camera. However I can't open the preview window and get an error message "camera not installed or in use by another." In device manager, it shows 1.3

I hope I provided enough info for you to help me? Everywhere I go I have done what I read, such as uninstall, reinstall, update driver, download from inf file, go to gateway.com,etc...
I don't know if AMD is controlling my webcam? When I click on flash it states no webcam found, the mic is found though. Skype and other sites also say no webcam found. I don't know why I can't install Suyin through device manager?
     The software installed is
    UVC 0.6.47.1:VIDEO Web Camera
I have multiple registry entries for suyin from the download such as regedit 5.0 Suyin which by default has this error message in many languages? There is also a USB registry that flashes when installed and
a echo@  registry entry too. These are located in the folder in Windows/ Programs/86 under Video Web Camera. What has taken over my webcamera?????
I don't know if I need a BIOS update to fix  this from gateway.com??? I haven't done that because I am unsure and don't want to make this worse. I do find at the gateway site the only update is the webcam
which is 1/21/11. The others are the same  from 6/24/2010, which I already have. I bought the computer in 12/2010 new. The webcam was working in 12/13 , for I had a 2 year warranty and no issues .  I think this is a simple fix but I am not an expert,
only good at following logical, proper instructions to fix an error.
I'd be grateful and shocked if anyone can help me. I have no viruses and have Norton 360 running all the time and done check-ups with Malware and Superspy.
I have another user on my computer which is myself but logged off. If I deleted the other user, would my webcam work or is it my registry, AMD??? I am sooooo frustrated !!!!!! I am confused why
device manger states no errors and driver sites find no webcam updates or errors, either. There is no Suyin driver in the driver store and the inf file won't install per device manager?
Thank-you for your time and if you are unable to assist me , please advice where to go. Please let me know if you need more information.
    Kindly,
     Victoria

I did some googling and found alot of topics from you on this issue, to me it simply seems like on of the connectors is broken or loose.

  • I have a Mid 2009 Macbook Pro 13 with no restore disk; it has OS 10.8.4 I believe there is something wrong with the OS due to I can not install flash player to view Youtube videos and the when we plug in a Bose headset the sound out will work sometimes

I bough a used Macbook Pro mid 2009 that came with OS 10.8.9 it didn't have a backup restore disk with S/N W8******66D
When trying to view some youtube videos; a window would pop up saying "it needs adobe flash player is required for video play back get the latest flash player" but after downloading the file and during installation would have errors and will not installed.....tried to reboot and install again.....but still the same.
The othe thing I had noticed is when using a good Bose headset with mic the sound output would noticed the headset and then switch from headset to Internal speekers and headset.....thinking that there might be something wrong with the plug in port of the computer or the headset.....the headset works with no issues on my iPad so there must be something wrong with the computer.....tried to move the plugin around the port but no change....while the headset is plug in can hear a short clicking noise and the sound would get lost and back again......but with nothing plugin to the port there is no issue with the sound or mic.
Thanks for your feed back......it looks like I have two different issues one is a software issue and the outher is a hardware issue

The "restore disk" is built into the Mac. See About Recovery.
Need more specifics about what error messages you got while installing Adobe Flash.
However, you can almost avoid Flash altogether by setting YouTube to play the HTML5 version instead.
Click the Try something new! link at the bottom of the YouTube page.
I don't know about the sound issue. Might be hardware as you think. Try other headphones to check.

  • Video Works but Mic Does Not

I have a Creative Livecam Socialize HD(VF0616) installed in my PC. My OS is Win7 Ultimate 64 Bit. The camera was working before but I have not used it lately. I upgraded my Skype but when I tested it with the camera, the mic did not work. The camera video and the speaker seemed OK but the microphone did not work. Any simple way to test the mic feature of the camera?

In Skype go to Tools -> Options -> Audio settings. What device do you see there selected as your Microphone? Is there more than one option available in the selection box? Can you see any respponse on the Volume bar when you make any sound?

  • Bluetooth headset's mic does not work

I have NB205-312BL netbook and bought Acoustic Research ARWH1 bluetooth headset.
I am able to pair it with the netbook easily. However, the mic does not work! Only audio playback works.  I know it is not the fault of the headset because the mic works pretty well with a cell phone.
When I look at Device's properties, I see that the device is identified as a 'headset' but an audio-sink device.
The mic does not work even if I explicitly select "Bluetooth Wave" as the sound/voice input device.
The netbook runs Windows XP. It has the latest Toshiba Bluetooth software 6.40.xx installed on it.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

First you need to get your keyboard fixed. The caps lock appears to be stuck.
What have you tried, and what symptoms do you observe? "Does not work" does not tell us much.

  • Speakers Hiss when Mic is not muted

#Speakers Hiss when Mic is not mutedi WinXP Pro SP3
    Drivers 6.00.000.368
    First problem
I have a Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer Fatalty Pro card and 7. speakers and I just noticed that the speakers will hiss when the Mic is not muted, if I mute the mic, than the hiss will go away, but soon as I unmute it, hiss is back.
    Second problem
I been trying to get my mic working, I have a simple plug in play mic and it is plugged directly into the Mic plug at the back of the Sound card but I have to rise my voice very loud or tap the Mic for it to pick up any audio and even than, the sound output from me speaking or tabbing is very low.
Mic Volume is turned to max, boost is on, I've checked every option for Sound and the Mic and everything is set correctly, when I had Vista installed, the Mic worked without any problems.
I'm at a lost on what to do, I have re-installed the drivers many times to try to fix the issue, my only solution is to use my X-Fi Go and use headphones through them, but I lose all the benafits of having 7. sound when playing games.

Hi..yeah..can anyone help on this please..
im also experiencing the same problem..ive also tried realtek R249..
    thanks...

  • Samson USB mic issue

    Hi All,
I purchased a Samson USB mic C01U which is a pretty sweet mic. I used it USB once on my Mac Book Pro but only for a quick verse or two on a friends song.
I came back to my home MacMini and tried to get it worked and after setting up aggregate devices etc... got it going but after about 5-10 minutes the audio started to chatter and clip.
I fiddled with it alot. If I unplug it, plug it back in it works for another 5-10 then chatters.
So I figure its a driver or conflict problem.
Well the other day my new MacPro arrived. I installed Logic, setup the aggregate device and I suddenly have the same problem. No bad drivers or anything (trial software etc) But still I get 5 mins then chatter and clip.
Any thoughts? Anyone using USB mics with Logic Pro?
    Thanks in advance.

I saw that thread albeit after I posted this. The thread address some technical issues but didn't give any opinions on the sound quality. I wouldn't expect too much from an $80.00 mic but I was wondering if it was at least a decent value.
I should have been more specific.

  • The T61 internal mic does not work when docked

The internal mic does not work when docked. However works fine when undocked.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

I go this issue very recently. What I did to solve the problem was probably mentioned before somwehre over the web.
First of all, I degraded Skype from the latest version to skype 6.1.0.129. Then I went in Skype - Tools - Option - Advanced Settings - Automatic Updates and click "Turn off automatic updates" and Save. I closed (Quit Skype) Skype then.
I clicked on Start (in toolbar) and in search area typed Device Meneger. Then in Sound Video and game controlers, highlite and right click on mouse on IDT High Definition Audio Codec and press Unistall. This will unistall IDT drivers from the system. You must restart your computer.
Once you come back after reboot, you must go again to the Sound Video and game controlers and remove the rest part of your driver. After reboot go Sound Video and game controlers and click "Scan for hardware changes" then system find your IDT Sound Card again. Please install the latest driver (6.10.6367.0) and reboot. After reboot you should have mic working while on Skype.

  • CIT200 Internal mic does not work??

I am using the CIT200 under WIndows 7. It connects fine to Skype and drivers are installed OK. When I call, the internal mic does not work (phone's internal speaker is fine), but when I plug in a headset, the headset mic (and speaker) works just fine. Does this mean the internal mic is physically damaged, or is there anything I can do software vise to get it to work?

Hmmm, well never tried to make the CIT200 software on a Virtual PC, but you can give a try and check if that solves your problem or not.

  • Ipod 5th Generation 80 GB / Device Manager / Driver not Installed / Code 28

Well, where do I begin! Got my 1st Ipod 2 days ago & still unable to use it! I have installed & uninstalled the itunes 7 software numerous times. On phone w/ Apple for 1 hour...followed by online chat help w/ Dell.
I've tryed 4 different USB ports on my computer. The device Manager shows the Ipod w/ a ? and a ! in yellow. The add new hardware tells me, "Drivers for this device are not installed. Code 28." My computer reconizes that the ipod is plugged in, but will not do anything. There is no communication between the 2. Keeps telling me to insert cd for software for ipod.
Help! Does seem that other people are having similar issues. I think a software cd should of been provided w/ the ipod....not sure if that would of corrected my problem.

Follow the onscreen instructions, making sure to proceed all the way through the installation without canceling or exiting any screen.
    Note
Do not connect the USB cable until you are prompted, or an install error may occur. Also, if your software is still not finding your printer over the USB connection, review the following USB tips.
    + USB tips
Ensure that your USB cable is no more than 5 meters (16.4 feet) in length. (For best results, use a cable that is less than 2 meters (6 feet) in length.)
Try connecting the USB cable to a different USB connector on the computer. (For example, if you plugged the cable into a front USB port, try plugging it into a port in the back.)
If the USB cable is connected to a USB hub or a docking station for a laptop, it could cause the installation to fail. Even if you believe that your USB hub works fine, try connecting the USB cable directly to the computer during the device installation (when prompted). You can always move it back to the USB hub later.
If you need to use a USB hub, use one that is externally powered instead of using a non-powered hub.
When the installation completes, try using your printer.
    Turn your printer on.
If you are using a USB connection, disconnect the USB cable from both your printer and computer (if it is currently connected).
Reinstall the software using the CD that came with the printer, or download and install the latest version of the software for your printer from the HP web site (recommended):
Click here to go to the HP Support & Drivers web page.
Select the option to download drivers and software, and then type the name of your printer in the search box.
For example, type HP Photosmart B211.
Follow the prompts and make selections to display the software and drivers for your printer.
When prompted, select the appropriate version of Windows, to view the driver download and CD ordering options.
    Tip
If you're not sure whether your operating system is 32-bit or 64-bit, click the Is the Windows version on my computer 32-bit or 64-bit? link on the page for help.
If given a choice, select the full feature software and drivers link.
This option may appear in an area labeled Drivers.
When prompted, click Save, and download the software to your desktop or a folder where you can easily find it.
Start the HP software installation by running the install program that you downloaded.
Follow the onscreen instructions, making sure to proceed all the way through the installation without canceling or exiting any screen.
    Note
Some printer models require a USB connection during the install. If you are prompted by the software, connect the USB cable. • A few weeks ago I had to reinstall itunes on my PC because the latest itunes update did not install properly.  Ever since doing that something called Mobile Me keeps popping up whenever I open email (outlook) and slowing it down. How do I remove MobileMe

A few weeks ago an itunes upgrade did not install properly on my PC so I had to uninstall itunes and everything associated with it.  I was able to reinstall itunes and it works fine including syncing with my ipod.  However, now whenever I open my email (outlook) a box pops up stating MobileMe Services has stooped working. This happens a couple of times after I click to close the program.  This a nusance and really slows down getting to my email.  From what I've found MobileMe was something that used to be used by itunes to sync mobile devices but is no longer used by itunes.  I can't find a way to remove this MobileMe from my PC.  I've tried going into Contol Panel then Programs and Features to uninstall it but there is no button there to uninstall it.  Any suggestions on how this can be removed?

Do you have a backup that you can restore from? Your old hard drive seems to be the problem.
