Samsung Galaxy Note 4 losing cellular network

Hi, Got a bit of an issue I would like to see if others have had the same problem? I have recently upgraded to a Note 4 and re-contracted my plan to get the handset. I have had it since Saturday just gone (15th Nov 2014). I have found when I have the phone set to LTE/WCDMA/GSM (AKA 4G as preference) the phone will drop it's cellular connection and not reconnect. If I set the phone to WCDMA/GSM (AKA 3G Only) it remains connected all the time. So steps taken so far:Returned to shop and reburnt SIM Card.Tested with and without Bluetooth / Wifi EnabledI have the S Charge cover so tested with and without this onChecked settings to make sure something wasn't wrongReset phone and tested with no settings enabled apart from factory default (e.g. no GMAIL account / Samsung Account or restore in any way so vanilla start up. Non of these make any difference to the status. It is like the phone cannot switch between 3G and 4G, if it tries it will disconnect. Before anyone says it's the service in the area, I have had a Samsung G3 and a G5, I also have a Note 10.1 and none of these devices have ever had this issue disconnecting or switching between 3G and 4G. The only difference I can sumise is the Note 4 has support for 4GX or 4G Cat 6 over the older devices that only support 4G cat4 spec. The only fix is to switch the phone to 3G only and that p........es me off as I am paying for premium network with Australia's premium telco so I will not accept switching a phone back to a slower speed as a "fix" to the issue. Has anyone else experienced this issue or have any ideas as to what the problem may be? I have spoken to tech support and was advised to take the phone back to the store which I did in the first instance?????? Further to this I found the phone on demo in the store had the exact same issue?????? I do not think replacing the phone will fix the issue. Any ideas much appeciated. Cheers Grimmy

Hi AllSame problem here. I have new Note4, provisioned by Telstra, new service, new SIM. I get 15 minutes of service, before I lose Network Connection and have to reboot phone before I get signal back again, If I keep phone active, (i.e. send a text every five minutes, then it stays active on the network.Putting an Optus SIM in the phone, it has no issue. Putting my Telstra SIM in another phone, I have no issue with the SIM. I've factory reset the phone, there is no issue with the SIM provisioning. I'm wondering if I need a particular 4GX SIM?Jes

    Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
    Regarding the troubles getting the Wireless Direct connection working with a Samsung Galaxy Note, does this error display only on the Wireless Direct network?
    I have not been able to reproduce the error, but I have found something that addresses the error on another support site that might be worth a try.
    Getting "Network disabled because internet connection is slow" during setup<--- Not a HP support site, nor is it related to a printer, but the error is the same and follows suite with a connection issue with a Samsung product.
    Let me know if this suggestion is helpful.

  • Have you heard of the Samsung Galaxy Note?

    Please tell me I'm not the only one waiting for the new Samsung Galaxy Note? I have been waiting almost a whole year for the newest and greatest Samsung to make it's United States grand entrance only to hear that it will only be making it's debut on the AT&T Network, please say it isn't so. Verizon get with the program it took you several years to get on the IPhone bandwagon please don't let the Note pass you by.

    Heard of it. I think I like the size, but not sure yet. It's going to be one of those I would have to wait and see what users are saying about it. There's more important things than having a size between a phone and a tablet, such as how well does the 4G hotspot work when tethered to your laptop? With AT&T's 4G, that could be a very interesting question. How good is the GPS. How's the sound quality. Reliability. How many end up coming back? Is using it as a phone difficult because of the size? What's the screen look like outside. Does the large size screen reflect more light? What's going to be the hit on the battery life to keep that big screen lit along with everything else that's running. Then, it's a Samsung and although I've had and like some of their electronics, like their TV's and monitors, I've never cared much for their phones.
    I think ASUS is the one I have my eye one. Everything they've done lately has been innovative and caught everyone's attention. Transformer. Transformer Prime, The Padphone, and showing off a 7" Tegra3 quad core tablet with ICS at CES for $250.00. Without a contract. I want one and I haven't really been on the tablet bandwagon. I've been waiting for the tablet prices to drop and I think ASUS is again in the lead with what people are going to want. Quality equipment at a reasonable, realistic price. In 6 months to a year, you may be able to get a very nice quad core phone and quad core tablet both for what some tablets alone are going for now. Thank you ASUS for starting the price drop on main stream tablets. I know Amazon started it with the Fire, and I already thanked them by buying my wife one, but theirs is a consumer device and not a fully loaded tablet for $250.00 like the ASUS.
    Nope, I'm not jumping on the note, or anything else new until I see what ASUS has coming out for us this year that's going to make the Note look sad and me glad.

    Samsung galaxy note 10.1 is just over a year old & has always connected fine to our home hub 4, but today is refusing to connect. although it is saying it is connected there is no signal to use the internet. We have tried turning off home hub & disconnecting it from the wall & turning off the samsung both for 15 minutes but still no internet. I have a laptop & a windows phone which can both connect (although phone had same problem but was fixed by the turning off & back on again). Anyone have any ideas please, nice easy english please as not technically minded

    You don't get the itunes program on your Android devise at all.
    You would need to read the directions for your phone to learn how to put music on it.

    Since you have already done some sort of reset on your Airport Express, you might as well make sure it was a "hard reset" - follow the instructions for a hard reset found at:

    Since your Mac is running Leopard, you need to configure the Airport Express using the Airport Utility found in the Applictions->Utilities folder. You cannot install the old software that was supplied on the CD you got with the Airport Express.
    In future - if you do something bad with network settings on your Mac, do NOT try to fix it with the Airport Utility. The Airport Utility is only used to configure the Airport Express - and since the problem you have created is on the Mac and not the Airport Express, there is no need to be using the Airport Utility and especially there is no need to be resetting the Airport Express.

    I've acquired a Samsung Galaxy Note 3. It takes supherb HD video 1920x1080. But when I attempt to import the clips in Premiere CS4, I get the unsupported file error message. Am I missing a format spec in my project setup menu list? Or do I have to convert the files before importing and with what?

    Just wondering why i cant imort videos to my mac from a Samsung Galaxy Note 3. After much trial and error i managed to upload all photos however i cant share any videos to my mac at all, i have tryed:
    Google Drive,
    Email,
    Normal USB transfer(as i did for the photos)
    and Blutooth
    Any reply would be appreciated

    You can't do that. Apple did not put this function on their bluetooth

    Why can I not hear through my phone (samsung Galaxy note 3) when receiving or making calls? I can only hear if I turn the speaker on or have my bluetooth on.

        This audio issue is a mystery montel! Let's explore options to resolve! First make sure that nothing (lint, etc) is inside your headphone inlet as this may cause some audio issues. If nothing there, please do factory reset http://vz.to/OW15HQ to ensure that no system files are corrupted. Keep us posted.
