Samsung Gusto U-360 calendar problem

I have two events that pop up every hour (at xx:40), but they are not shown in the calendar.
I do not use this phone on the web, and have never synced it to a computer; the link provided above is to clear web temporary files?  How is that relevant?

    Good afternoon Magee6.
Random past alarm notifications would be so annoying! Especially if you can't get them to stop. How long has this been happening? Let's see what we can do. Please try clearing memory, then restart device. You can select the following link for the steps to do so. http://bit.ly/QnnOoZ
Please let us know if this helps.
Thanks,

  • Samsung Gusto - can't read full texts!

Hi, I bought the samsung gusto yesterday and after putting money on it and everything I found that I could not receive full texts! My boyfriend would send me a long text and only about three words or so appear on the phone. There's nothing to scroll of anything. When I received texts about signing up for a My Verizon account, however, the full text came in. Any reason why?
His phone is a blackberry and I recieved his texts great on my blackberry, so I don't think its a problem on his end.
    Thanks!

        Hey there wilcyn92,
Texting is how I mainly communicate with others, so I'd be just as concerned if mine wasn't working correctly.
That is odd that you're not receiving full texts.  Is the problem just with your boyfriend or other users as well?
If you are continuing to have issues, please reach out to our prepaid department at (888) 294-6804.

  • Samsung Gusto randomly turns off

I just bought a Samsung Gusto a couple weeks ago and it's randomly turning off by itself.  I can't figure out any pattern...sometimes when i get it out or open it to see if i've gotten any messages it's turned off.  This is really causing problems as I'm missing some important calls and messages - it's been very unreliable and it's driving me crazy.  Has anyone else had this problem? If i go into a verizon store will they give me a replacement or are they all having this problem? Thanks.

    @Lbow87
Wow! No the Gusto shouldn't be shutting off like you described. I can't imagine how frustrating that situation would be for you. We definitely want to get this corrected immediately.
I've contacted Samsung and this is not a known issue with the Gusto. Is there any physical or water damage to the device? Please remove the battery and see is there any corrosion or buildup where the battery connects to the phone. Is the battery loose in the back compartment?
Please let me know so we can get this resolved promptly.
    Thank you

  • Samsung Gusto

Is anyone else having problems with the samsung gusto? i'm on my third one now.  the phone keeps locking up and resetting on its own.  it also doesnt ring for incoming calls from time to time and the call goes straight to voice mail and no missed call shows up.

I'm surprised the Verizon employee said this isn't common for this phone.  Within a few weeks after buying this phone, it started locking up whenever we tried to send a text to more than 1 contact.  After a few days, it would reboot under the same conditions instead of locking up.  We got a new phone last night and the first time we tried to send a text message, it rebooted.  Sometimes it sent the text okay, other times it locked up or rebooted.  It worked about 50% of the time.
We went back to the store today and the tech said the memory was low because we had too many pictures on it.  He refused to tell me how much memory the phone holds/needs or how to find that on the phone.  When I got home, I figured out how to check the memory.  It turns out the phone holds 32MB, we were using 7MB.  Other than 80 pictures we added (total of 3MB of our pictures plus the pictures it came with) and 19 contacts, there was no extra memory usage on our part, that is, all other info on the phone is what it came with.  I don't believe the tech guy because he was mad at having to transfer our pictures from the old phone to the new one the night before.  I think he decided to blame the pictures because he didn't want to transfer them again to a new phone.  Just a nasty attitude from this guy from beginning to end.
So we will be removing all of our own pictures and see what happens.  I fully expect this phone to continue with the problems.   Then I'll have to be on my 3rd phone since January.
BTW- we haven't had the problem of phone call problems you mentioned.  But we using the texting more than the calls.

  • Samsung Gusto 2 Prepaid

I was just wondering how many others using the Verizon Prepaid service with the Samsung Gusto 2 have experienced their minutes just suddenly disappearing?
I bought the phone on August 17, 2012 and it came with a $10 worth of  minutes. I added a $30 card on Oct. 3 2012  that was supposed to be good for 120 minutes and 3 months. I signed up with the 25 cents per minute plan because I do not use it that often. I received a text message from Verizon telling my my account was low. I go online and checked and found that I now have "0" minutes left.
My online account shows that I've only used 3 or four minutes during the time I've had the phone. So what happened to my time and money?
An update: I spoke with customer service on the phone and they said they have no record of my adding a $30 card. When I entered the card # I checked my balance via my phone and it showed that it had credited my account, I also received a text message from Verizon informing me that I had added the additional time and minutes. Unfortunately I threw the card away after entering it and deleted the text messages. I didn't see the point in keeping them, but I do now.
I suppose that Verizon could wipe out everyone's time/minutes and simply claim that you never added any extra time. I would suggest to everyone who reads this to save your cards and write on them the date and rime you added it and keep your confirmation text messages. I have no doubt that there is a problem with Verizon's tracking system in regards to managing or keeping up with their customer's minutes.
All I can say is that I am glad that I did not throw away my tracfone. My minutes roll over and every time I add a card the end time increases. You're never limited to just 30-60-90 days. Also, the time remaining and the end date are always displayed on the phone's screen. The book that came with my Verizon phone said that I could display this information on my Gusto 2 by going to Menu -> Settings -> Display -> Balance Display and highlighting the desired setting -> Show or Hide. Only problem is that I do not have a "Balance Display" option under "Display".

If you have a computer or know someone who does you can go to MyVerizon.com and sign up and you will beable to display the time you used for texting or calling and when your $30.00 balance was added.  https://nbillpay.verizonwireless.com/vzw/prepay/PrepayPhone.action - then put your 10 digit cell number , then your password, then click on Overview, then Continue, then Balance Details that will show you all your balance for texts and cell calls and when money was added to your account.

  • Creating calendar problems

Spent a few hours last night making a calendar in iPhoto only to have it crash on the month of December. Any way to find the auto save file?
    Thanks

    wolfwill:
Welcome to the Apple Discussions. I believe the calendar info is saved in the iPhoto6.library file. If there is a temp file it may be in the same folder that the pdf files get created for uploading and printing: /private/var/tmp/folders.501/TemporaryItems/iPhoto/. If you past that in the Go->Go to folder menu option in the finder it will take you there if that iPhoto folder has been created.
If you haven't upgraded to 6.0.1 you might do so as that's supposed to have fixed the calendar problems.

  • My Samsung Gusto won't work.

My Samsung Gusto won't work.  It has been vibrating for a hour now.  No matter what buttons I push, nothing else happens.  It is unusable.

    Hi YosemiteSam,
It sounds like you have the vibrate mode activated and then for some reason it froze on you. Are you still having this issue with your phone or has it started working again? I would suggest you power off your device for doing a soft reset. Afterwards, using your dial pad, press the # key just below the 9 key on the lower right to take the phone out of vibrate mode. This should correct the issue and here's a link to our website for additional assistance with your device. On page 15 of the user manuel shows this reference. If your still having issues, send me a private message with your information for more assistance with this issue.

  • I have a samsung gusto flip phone is it possible to view the web history?

    as stated above

        Hey there jsieber,
The Samsung Gusto is a great phone. I understand the importance of viewing the history so you can refer back to websites that were previously visited. At this time the Samsung Gusto does not display your browsing history. It will save it in your temporary internet files so the next time you visit that site it will load faster, but there is no way to view a list of previous URL's listed. It also stores this information so the next time you start to type in a particular URL it will automatically pop up instead of you having to enter in the entire URL.
If you come upon a website you like and think it is one that you could frequently visit you can always add it to your favorites,http://vz.to/1lIjndm.
If you are looking to clear your browsing history you can follow these steps,http://vz.to/1ecQAWp.

  • Samsung Gusto 'forgets' the voicemail number

My wifes Samsung Gusto has forgot the pre-programmed voicemail number for second time. This prevents holding down 1 to get into voicemail. The first time it happened I contacted customer service, but it is late now. Does anyone know where in the settings to re-set thi up?
    Thanks!

Go to your contact list, and find Voicemail. That should be set to *86. (Or you can set it to your full 10 digit phone number, and voicemail can be dialed with the speed dial key wherever you happen to be). Then from there, or from your speed dial list, set 1 to your Voicemail contact.
    HTH,

  • Contact calling on the Samsung Gusto 2

I recently started using a Samsung Gusto 2.  This replaced my old Samsung phone which had the feature that if I dialed the first three letters of a person's name and pressed the Up directional key, I could select from a list of my contacts that matched.  I can't see how to activate this feature on the new phone.  Or did Samsung eliminate this excellent feature?

    sucks

  • Need simple instructions on transfering photos from Samsung Gusto phone to computer.

Need simple instructions on transferring photos from Samsung Gusto phone to my PC.

smcolvin, happy to help with getting those pictures transferred. As the Samsung Gusto does not have the mass storage functionality, this requires a out of the box solution. You can send the pictures as a picture message and place your email address in the "to" field. Open your email inbox on your computer, open the messages and then download the images to the computer (usually right click and "save as").
Alternatively, you can send the pictures to the online album and access them there. To send to the online album from your phone, press the left soft key. Message>New Message>Picture message. At the "New Picture Msg" screen, press the Right Soft Key and add "To Online Album." Select "Send." On your computer launch your web browser and log into MyVerizon at verizonwireless.com and then go to vzwpix.com .

  • Samsung Gusto 2 turns itself off

My Samsung Gusto 2 that I got from Verizon Wireless in April is randomly turning itself off. This is getting increasingly frequent, and over the past weekend it must have happened 20 times. The battery appears fine, it is fully charged, and nothing bad has happened to the phone. What are my options?

Thanks for sharing your equipment concerns with the community wrtiii. We know how important it is to stay connected, especially while on the go. May I ask did you try the suggestion that SuzyQ provided? Thanks SuzyQ. If you have and the issue persist then may I ask are you using the original battery with the device? Can I assume that there isn't any physical or liquid damage on the device? If everything is in order then please send me a private message with your full name, mobile number, and a 2-3 sentence summary of the issue so we can explore options.
    Thank you...

  • BB10 Calendar problem SOLVED!!!

    BB10 Calendar problem SOLVED!!!
Step 1: DO NOT do a device switch using BB Link!
Step 2: On your old device, do a device switch using an "SD Card' - this helped me big time since it copied everything!
Step 3: On your BB10 device, insert the old SD card, and complete the device switch using the "SD Card" option.
Step 4: Voila! All your calendar, phone book and personal data is all transferred on to your new BB10.
    All the best!

I had a blackberry 9780 (now a Z10)  When I go to setup on the old BB the "device switch" icon is not there.
Is there anyway I can get that as an option on the phone so I can try what you suggest
