  • How do I make it so my phone can send Multimedia messages again? Samsung Intensity II

I'm not sure if this is even where I am supposed to post this, I've been having a few difficulties navigating around the site as it is, so my apologies if it is in the incorrect section or anything.
I have a Samsung Intensity II, and up until today it was perfectly fine. but now it wont send Multimedia messages anymore, I think I may have accidentally changed a setting on it some how. So far I haven't seen any other problems with it.
Every time I try to send a Multimedia message of any kind, to anyone, it will sort of freeze on the percentage sent bar, for about 5 or so minutes, and then it will continue through all the way to 100% pausing like that, and then say "send failed would you like to try again?"
I can receive Multimedia messages, and text messages, I can send text messages, but not multimedia messages. It fails every time.
I have turned my phone off and back on, I have removed the battery and put it back in, nothing has changed. actually about the only thing I've seen change since the first time it wouldn't send, is that it pauses on 29% instead of 19%.
If you can tell me what setting may have changed this, or another way for me to transfer my pictures, I would be very appreciative. Thank you for your time.

        Hi okikust,
I use picture messages all of the time! I understand why you would want this corrected as soon as possible. I would like to look at your account, in order to determine the root cause of the issue and fix it! Please send me a DM with your name, mobile number, and contact number. I will be happy to review this personally. Thanks!

  • Samsung Intensity III – what do I think about this phone

There is nothing good in the basic phones. If I don’t like touch screen and I have passed the flip phone era, then there are in fact only two (2) phones offered by the Verizon: LG Cosmos 2 and Samsung Intensity III.
Are these phones any good? I don’t think so. The quality of these phones is not even close to the quality of basic phones that we had in the past.
I am the owner of Samsung Intensity III. I “upgraded” my old Samsung Sway (4 years without any problems) to Samsung Intensity III, and I was experiencing any kind of issues – issues, which I never had with my four (4) previous phones (diff models). The time that I spent with VZW tech support and the store employees in three weeks was much greater than the time spent during the last 10 years. Yah!
Since this is the third Samsung Intensity III in three weeks, I think that I could give honest opinion based on facts.
I had to replace the phone twice for different reasons.
With the first phone, I was experiencing very poor signal, drop calls and terrible sound.
With the second phone, after first night in standby mode, the battery was almost discharged. The battery and the charger have been replaced. On the same day, I spent hours with VZW tech support to fix cracking voice and windy noise in the background. At the end I was told that it might be a problem with the phone and I should go to the store and replace the phone.
The phone was replaced. The cracking voice and windy noise is gone but I still have a weak signal and I hear from the callers that sometimes my voice sound like I was distant from the phone.
    I had no problem with:
    1. Setting the alarm
    2. Setting the bluetooth
    3. Transferring the pictures and contacts from the phone to my PC
This phone is very poorly designed with the following issues:
    1. The keys (on the front panel) are so small that is very difficult to touch one key without touching another.
    2. The orange color of the symbols on the keyboard made the symbols hard to read.
    3. VERY small pictures. According to the phone specification: “Display 2.4 inches”. I wonder how it was measured, when the actual width is less than 2" and height approx 2”. But to see the picture in this size, you must set the picture as wallpaper. Otherwise the size of the picture, in the ‘full view’ is only 1 1/2” x 11/8”.
    4. The back cover is made so cheap that I am afraid that I can break after a few openings.
    5. Poor signal (in comparison to my 4 previous phones that I used in the same location)
Why ALL the basic phone models must be slim? I don’t might to have a phone 1” wider.
There is no variety of choices on the design front. I think that most of the basic phone users could prefer to have a phone in the size of the iPhone or Samsung Galaxy, just to have a bigger numbers and a bigger screen size.
So far, it look like the Samsung Intensity III could be the worst cell phone I have owned.
I just don’t understand the phone manufacturers. Why do they cease production of a good quality phone, only to replace by piece of crap?

    Junk.
I picked up an Intensity III a couple weeks ago to replace a perfectly good LG Venus that Verizon doesn't want to support any longer. The Samsung appeared to successfully pair with all the Bluetooth devices I tried (3 different headsets (two from LG and one from Samsung) and one vehicle (2011 Hyundai Sonata)), but would not successfully connect with any of them. Samsung's technical support people said I should refer the problem to the Bluetooth device manufacturers, because it wasn't Samsung's responsibility to make their device work with any particular other device. I thought there were "standards" for things such as Bluetooth, to try and insure these types of problems don't happen. I thought it was likely there was something wrong with the particular handset I had and Verizon's technical support people tended to agree with me. But I didn't like Samsung's "blame someone else" attitude and so I exchanged the Intensity III for a somewhat identical feature-wise LG Cosmos 2 last week. So far, except for hanging each night when Backup Assistant runs, the Cosmos 2 is working well and according to those I've talked to and asked, sounding better.

  • My samsung intensity 3 is not working

I got a brand new samsung intensity 3 on 8/1/2013 and the camera did not work after one photo. It was working fine right before I sat down for dinner tonight then I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket while eating and the phone expressed several failures. The keypad completely stopped working. I was able to see the main screen but I couldn't do anything. After removing the battery it worked for about 2 minutes then the keypad stopped working again. Then I tried charging it in my computer (to see if that would do anything) and the USB mode screen was stuck. I removed the battery again and let it sit for an hour. After re-inserting the battery, it started to work except for the soft keys and the "P" button on the keyboard. Then the screen started flashing and now the screen appears to go into sleep mode and the only reaction I receive is when I open the keybord (but still no functionality). I am dissapointed because 1. The chat service was unavailable all evening and 2. How am I supposed to call customer service without a working phone?

How far is the nearest verizon store, could you pop in there?   We have one on every corner here it seems like.  Do you have friends or family with a land line or cell you can use to call?  Mary

  • How do I stop the "factoid add" from popping up on my Samsung Intensity III?

I have a Samsung Intensity III and about every hour or so when I pick up my phone, I find that there is a "factoid" add as my lock screen.  It's supper annoying.  How can I go about disabling it?  Does it use data?

Is this the "Daily Scoop" app?  If it is, try these two things:
1 Launch Daily Scoop: Media Center  > Browse & Download menu > Daily Scoop icon.
2 In Daily Scoop: Menu > Options > Verizon Msgs > Off.
3 In Daily Scoop: Menu > Options > Bonus Msgs > Off.

  • Will someone please help me with this Samsung Intensity III??

I have had this Intensity III for 3 days now. I stay completely confused EVERY time I open the menu. Somehow I was in "Phone Settings" & accidentally chose "NAM Select". I don't have any idea what "NAM" even means!! When I tried to exit that place "Auto NAM Select". The only option was "OK", which made to phone automatically turn off showing "Reset". I am not sure what the original settings were, so I don't know if I even changed anything. Each "NAM" option have different choices. I am SO confused!!!    Any help would be SUPER appreciated!! Thanks, I hope to hear form someone!

  • Can I use my Samsung Intensity not to "talk" but to record?

I want to compare prices between my regular grocery store and the new big box discount store, but they don't like you walking around writing down prices. :^(
So, I want to walk around "talking on my phone" but actually recording product names and their prices :^) for later transcription and comparison at home.
    Is this possible?

    Hello Ragness,
Bargain shopping is one of my favorite past times. I'm always looking for the best deals on everything from food to clothes to entertainment. I can certainly appreciate the value that a voice recorder brings to the shopping experience. With that being said, I have great news for you! The Samsung Intensity does have a voice recorder. I have provided the steps on how to access the voice recording feature below for your review.
Open your device in landscape mode, from the home screen, press the left soft key Message. Press New Message.
Press the 3 button for Voice Message.
Press the OK key to start recording.
Press the left soft key to pause if needed.
After completing your recording, press the OK key  to stop recording.
Yes sir! It's that simple! Once you have your recording saved onto the device then you can play it or send it to an email or another mobile phone. If you would like more information on the voice recording option as well as other great features that the Samsung Intensity have then you can visit the link below to view and download the user manual.

  • Why won't my Samsung intensity II not recognize a memory card?

I just purchased a Samsung Intensity II the other day. I purchased a memory card at the same time (16g, I think).
The card was put in the phone in the store by the sales clerk.
Once home, I 'formatted' the card. I hooked the phone up to my computer, and it the computer recognized the card, and thought it was dropping ringtones and pics onto it.
When I disconnect from the pc, and try to view and manage the files between the memory card and the phone, the phone insists no card is installed.
I've removed and reinstalled numerous times. The phone still won't recognize the card.
Here's what else is weird: when I INSTALL the card, it tells me the card has been removed. If I actually remove the card nothing happens.
I put the micro SD card into the adapter and plugged it directly into the computer sd-card slot. It reads it and I can add/remove files from it.

        Hi adagioinb,
This memory card issue is very strange! I understand that this a fairly new phone; however, I'd like to recommend doing a factory reset to clear any potential system errors. Please follow instructions at this link http://goo.gl/QSnVl to perform hard reset, and test. Keep us posted.

  • Backup Assistant - Lost Samsung Intensity II and re-Activated LG enV2

My son lost my Samsung Intensity II about a week ago. Before I activated my old LG enV2 I went online and ran the Backup Assistant on the Samsung. Since then, I have periodically received the following message on the LG:
Backup Assistant has encountered an account configuration error. To reconnect this device to the service, please delete Backup Assistant from the phone and download it again from Get It Now, then install. Log into your account for more info - www.verizonwirelss.com/backupassistant.
From scanning these forums, I understand that this phone is one that is no longer supported by Backup Assistant. So how do I get rid of the reminder messages coming from Verizon?
Also, can I see the backup files on my PC so that I can manually enter my contacts into my old LG?

I've now found where I can see the contacts online. However, I have a family plan and the Backup Assistant will only let me see the contacts on the primary phone. It does not allow me to see the contacts on my phone. How can I get it to show the contacts for my number?
Finally found out that you MUST have a Verizon Wireless account for EACH phone to access you Backup Assistant Contacts. At least I can now see my contacts and can manually update them. TG this isn't a corporate phone with a ton of contacts!

  • Samsung Intensity III won't make calls

My Samsung Intensity III is stuck in roaming mode and won't make calls.  Any suggestions?

My home is zip code 97016.  The phone has worked fine for the year or so
that I've had it until the last couple of weeks.  When I try to make a
call from home, I get the "Welcome to Verizon, not able to complete the
call as dialed" message  Then the recording says something like "4
switch 6-6". It is an intermittent problem, but is upsetting to not be
able to rely on the phone working.  This morning the phone is working,
but I'm not confident that it will last.
    Thank you for your help.

  • Recovering deleted events on Samsung Intensity

I have a Samsung Intensity, and I just accidentally deleted all of my events on the calendar. Obviously they were pretty important, so is there any way that I can recover them (even the ones from the past) and get them all back? thanks!

Tookish190, I understand how important your calendar events are but we are unable to retrieve them once they have been deleted. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

  • Display brightness software glitch on the Samsung Intensity

I discovered a somewhat annoying software glitch on my Samsung Intensity.  When you increase the backlight brightness and set it, then decrease it, the backlight duration changes to 7 seconds by itself.  It does not change the duration setting when you increase the brightness and set it.  Please fix this glitch in the software update.

I can certainly understand how this glitch can be frustrating for you.  I did some research in the resources that I have and this is not a reported issue.  Can you please tell me what software version you are running?
You can find that by following these steps:
From the main screen, press Menu.
Scroll to Settings & Tools, press OK
Scroll to Phone Info, press OK.
Scroll to SW/HW Version, press OK.
Please repost so I can trouble shoot further.  Thank you.

  • Samsung Intensity 3 Out of Memory

Have a Samsung Intensity 3 and it is telling me it is out of memory and I can't send pictures.  Even after getting rid of my pictures to my home computer the message still is there.  What do I do?

        Hi Maco70,
Let's get this memory mystery corrected! Have you tried to input a memory card in your phone.  It does have a slot to hold up to an additional 32GB of storage. As for the Back Up Assistant error, you should only be seeing this if you have a data block on your line.  Please long into your My Verizon account and view your features. http://bit.ly/xB4iTc I am sure we can get this resolved.

  • Samsung Intensity acting up

I purchased a Samsung Intensity about 4-5 months ago.  Love this phone!
Unfortunately, just this morning the phone started to have a mind of it's own.  The screen won't turn off.  When I go into menu's [messaging or tools menu etc.], the phone scrolls itself through the menu.
I tried turning the phone off and removing the battery.  Is there any other possible solutions?
    Thanks
    ARnutt

    Good Afternoon, arnutt!
You've done a great job removing the battery from the phone, however that did not fix the screen issue. It appears to be a hardware related problem. If you have not already addressed this concern, please PM me your name and mobile number so I can assist further.
