Samsung Note 2 - AT&T - not showing up for a LONG time?!?
I just called Best Buy today and the employee said he doubts he will see this phone in-store for a LONG time. In addition, there is no way to be put on a wait list or anything.
This sucks 100% since I pre-ordered online, and then I was cancelled by Best Buy website glitch.
Anyone else have a better estimate when Best Buy will get this phone?
I agree. I just hope I get it by the end of the year so I can use my $50 Phone Freedom Gift Card for upgrading. Also, since they cancelled my online order, I MUST use my RZ certs by 12/09/12 since Best Buy screwed up. This sucks. I wish someone had some good information.
Here are the excuses I heard thus far:
"Apple has an injunction against Samsung, all the phones are stuck in shipping"
"We will not get this phone for a LONG time, we don't even have a demo unit, no stores do"
I proceeded to tell him one of the stores had the demo units out, and he just said "cool".
So, Best Buy continues to hire employees that don't know what they are talking about.

HDR camera mode shows "Saving" for a long time after taking a picture
I noticed that after taking a photo in the HDR mode with the camera on 4.1 (4th Gen phone), the "Saving Photo" and spinning icon persist on the screen. The only way to stop it is to tape the top button on the phone, which shuts off the screen. When I go back the photo appears to be saved with no harm. Anyone else have this lag?
It makes taking another photo very slow.You must have an older iPhone. My iPhone 4 takes about several seconds to save them, which was kinda annoying first. I'm not taking pictures in a rapid succession so I guess it is not that bad, taking into account a better quality of the HDR pics. I hope Apple fixes this delay in the future update of the iOS.
I was wondering though if we disable keeping of a non-HDR picture, would that speed it up? (Settings -> Photos -> Keep Normal Photo -> Off)
In your case, Fred, it would probably be better to shoot in a normal (non-HDR) format due to older hardware. -

This is a new phone all contacts and other stuff seems to have downloaded.this has nothing to do with your old phone (connected to wifi or not). It has to do with your wifi and new iphone. check wifi connect/restart router. then restart iphone.

Slave instance can not synchronized with the master for a long time, and the gap of LSNs between slave and master are more and more larger. The transfer bytes per second between master and slave is 118MB/s , upper limit to the ethernet card. Why???
ENVIRONMENT:
1. A network program which we called mcdb is based on BDB 4.8.30. It is used to accept get/set requests and then query data from bdb or save data to bdb.
2. mcdb implements replication with bdb replication manager api. The default start replication policy is DB_REP_ELECTION, rep ack policy is DB_REPMGR_ACKS_ONE_PEER and rep priority is 100.
3. The bdb data files, bdb log files, region files and rep files are all in the same home directory.
4. There are two instances of the mcdb are separately on two standalone servers which has no other programs. These two instances are in one replication group which can elect a master automatically.
5. The master instance is online, which has lots of requests (get, set, delete).
ACTIONS:
1. Start two mcdb instances on two servers and the two instance make a replication group. Slave has already synchronized with the master.
2. Stop the slave for a long time (more than 20 hours).
3. Start the slave instance to synchronize data with master.
RESULT:
1. the gap of LSNs between slave and master are more and more larger.

Unfortunately, this issue is beyond the level of what is supported over the forum. Performance related issues are extremely complex and require an in-depth understanding of your environment and dedicated support. In a generic sense, you can look at this as a basic queueing problem. You have a server that went down and work is still coming in. When the server gets started it is possible that it may never catch up depending on new work coming in and the rate at processing the old work.
So what would you do in this case --- one thing would be to reduce the new work coming in. In HA terms this would be slowing the master down and you can increase DB_REP_ACK_TIMEOUT for this. Another thing you could do is add fresh servers to help reduce the workload. In HA terms, this would be the equivalent of restarting the client and give it a fresh look at everything. Another thing you could do is replan the system and load balance. In HA terms, it would mean something like take a hot backup of the master and reinit a client from scratch.

Deleting the backup only permanently deletes the backup from iCloud. It doesn't do anything to the data currently in your account or on your devices. To delete it, go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage, tap the name of the device that you want to delete the backup for, then tap Delete Backup.
You can't see anything in an iCloud backup, if that's want you're asking. You can only restore it to your device. You can, of course, see your other iCloud data. -

The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Basic things like :
- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.
- Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For instance: 'iPhoto won't export' is best explained by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
- History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted?
- Are there error messages?
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
- Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?

I've been using samsung for a long time and I just changed into an iPhone 5s and the most important thing I need is my calendar appointments , but in the notification center it doesn't show my events for tomorrow and it doesn't even show more than 1 event , will there be an updated or this soon?
