Samsung remote app no longer working

Bought Samsung SMART tv (Internet) and downloaded the Samsung Remote app onto my iPad-all worked well for 2 weeks then suddenly the app says No Device. I know the Internet connection on the tv is ok. Any ideas anyone? Thanks

On the Samsung try:
Menu > system (scroll down to) network control
May show "on" ... Select this as there more 'inside'
Devices associated with TV are listed.
I had the same problem and my iPad was listed here as "denied"
Apparently the tv will reject until this is reset.

    I rechecked each question you posed; I even turned off and turned back on the Apple TV and iTunes Home Sharing, deleted the app and redownloaded it several times. I am still getting the message on my phone to turn on Home Sharing in iTunes on my computer or on Apple TV. I can't think of any changes I made since the REMOTE app worked except I downloaded the iOS 7.1. About a week before uploading the new iOS, I moved my router. Could this have been a cause of my problem? Everything else seems to work. Do you have any other suggestions? Or do you think the REMOTE app isn't working correctly with the new iOS 71.?     I am unable to use my Remote app 2.1.1 with my iTunes 10.2.1.
    I recently updated all software/firmware as follows:
    1st Gen iPad - iOS 4.3 (8F190)
    iTunes - 10.2.1 (1)
    Remote - 2.1.1
    I am using an iMac circa 2005 (6.1)
    Mac OS X 10.6.7
    2.33 Ghz Intel Core Duo; 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
    Wirless Router: Netgear WNDR3400, SSIDs off, WMM enabled.
    I have turned on Home Sharing on both iTunes and the Remote app.
    I have made sure that both iMac and iPad are on same network.
    I have made sure that iTunes is allowing incoming connections through the firewall settings in system preferences.
    I have deleted and reinstalled both iTunes on the iMac and Remote app on the iPad.
    I have trashed the preferences for iTunes.
    I have gone to Settings on the iPad and turned on Home Sharing through the iPod app.
    I no longer see "Automatically search for iPods, iPhones, or iPads" in the iTunes preferences...ANYWHERE.
    I have reset the router.
    I have reinstalled iTunes 10.1.1 - didn't work, re-updated to 10.2.1
    Installed Mac OS X 10.6.7 combo update.
    Nothing seems to work.
    iTunes does not show my iPad when the Remote app is launched and gives me the 4 digit code to type in to pair it.
    Anyone else having this issue?

  • IPhone remote app no longer working after iPhone update to version 4.2.1

    I have 4 apple TV generation 3 devices. I have had these (and some older Apple TV 2 devices) for a number of years.
    I have home sharing enabled on all the TV devices and use the iPhone remote app or the iPad remote app to control them.
    After the update to version 4.2.1 my iPhone (and my wifes) can no longer see any of the apple TV devices and I get the message
    "Turn on Home Sharing in iTunes on your computer or on Apple TV using the account $my account"
    Home sharing is turned on on the iPhone devices (I have disabled it and re-enabled it and re-signed in to prove this as well as re-downloading the remote app direct from the app store)
    Home sharing is enabled on all the Apple TV devices
    I know this is working as the iPads can still see the Apple TV devices, but the iPhone 5s's both myself and my wife have cannot see them.
    This has worked fine for years but after the 4.2.1 update the iPhone is unable to interact at all as if home sharing is not enabled.
    I've one through the trouble shooting guides on the support pages but they don't do anything, and I didn't expect them to as I know home sharing is setup just fine as a.) it was working b.) the iPads are still working with the apple TV's
    Suggestions ?

    Update:
    Issue is still occuring, after resetting wireless router.
    Router: Netgear WNDR3400, SSID's turned off, WMM is enabled.

  • Why does Remote App no longer work since upgrading to IOS 6?

    Since updating my Touch to IOS 6, I can no longer use the Remote App to connect to my itunes library on my iMac.  I have tried both homesharing and "add an itunes library" and both have failed.  I have been through all the posted support articles with no success.  By the way, I can still use my first generation IPAD to connect with no problems.

    We have an iPad 2, iPod Touch, iPhone 4,4s and iMac. 
    The printer is a HP LaserJet CP1525nw and is listed as a compatable AirPrint printer.
    The two iPhones and iPad 2 were upgraded to IOS6 last week.
    We wanted to print something out today and when selecting printer it came up with "No AirPrint Printers Found".
    This happened on the Other iPhone and the iPad as well. However all the other devices that were not upgraded still work.
    I have upgraded the firmware on the printer to the latest version, however this has not helped. I have restarted all devices as well as my network router multiple times to no avail.
    Apple need to provide a fix as this provlem is evidently as a result of their IOS6 upgrade.

  • Keynote remote app no longer working with keynote for ipad

    noticed after upgrading that the keynote remote does not pair with keynote for the ipad.  Any suggestion on a resolution or anyone else experiencing this issue?

    I didn't realize until I went to a class to lecture in front of a couple hundred students that what worked on Friday no longer worked on Monday.  (I upgraded to iOS 5 over the weekend.)  My iPad with lecture slides was plugged in 25 feet away.  I finally recruited a student to tap the iPad screen when I needed the next slide.  A nightmare.  What is usually slick and seamless was a wreck. 
    Here's my deal.  My remote app works fine at home where my iPod Touch and iPad are on the same wifi network.  At school they're on different networks for some reason.  Bluetooth doesn't work anywhere.  So Apple needs to find this bug and fix it.  I can't believe whoever is responsible for this didn't test this out before they released iOS 5.  Sheesh. 

  • TS1741 I have home sharing on both my computer and my iPad remote app. But the remote app no longer works.

    My remote app. Use to work perfect. It quit working and now I get a blue screen telling me o turn on home sharing. I've done that on both my mc and iPad with no luck getting the remote and iTunes to pair. Any suggestions?

    lower left corner on the text
    top of the context menu click devices
    choose the appletv rather then your shared lib in the list
    if you are trying to view a movie that is located on your ipad on your tv using the appletv then
    you should use airplay mirror not the remote app

    After installing 8.1.3 and rebooting, the Apple TV Remote App stopped working. I can tap to select options, but cannot swipe or gesture to move to other options. Rebooted Apple TV and iPhone 6, no change. No other apps were affected.

    I have an iPod Touch ios 4.2.1   and an imac osx 10.8.2
    The 'remote ' function stopped working. I followed the advice to remove the remote app and re-install it. When I tried to reinstall it said I needed ios 5 on my ipod! I can't se how to (or whether) Ican update the ios on my ipod and it won't re-install the app from my itunes as it says I need ios 5 to run it!!! What ion earth is goingon?

  • Remote App No Longer Working

    I am tearing my hair out trying to figure this out. For whatever reason, the Remote app has completely stopped working. I am using OS X.
    I have deleted and reinstalled the Remote App. I have deleted and reinstalled Itunes. When I go to "Add Library" on the remote app, it works just fine and accepts the code. But then it just times out every time when "connecting to library."
    Firewall is off. I have done the "forget all remotes" thing. I have reset my airport extreme and disconnected every single connection just to troubleshoot. There is absolutely nothing I can do to get the remote app to connect to iTunes. This is very frustrating as I have used the app for more than 2 years.
    I swear this happened right after the 4.0.1 update. The program works fine in Windows, but not in OS X.
    Any thoughts or suggestions on how to get this working again? This is driving me crazy! Thanks in advance.

    My experience with remote has been that one day it works and one day it doesn't. Completely frustrating. I have never been able to figure out if it is an Apple issue or the way my ISP assigns numbers (sorry, don't know the official tech word) to various devices. But I do know that my wife's computer, running 10.4 NEVER has a problem connecting with Remote. It is only my computer running 10.6 that has the issue. Same issue with connecting to Airport Express.
    Firewall settings are set to allow connections to iTunes on both computers.
    Configure IPv6 is off on both computers.

  • Brand new IPOD Touch Apps no longer work after upgrading software

    I got a Ipod touch for my wife Today at Wal-Mart. I brought it home, connected to wifi and downloaded some apps and also payed for some. They all worked fine. Then I connected to computer to transfer songs. It told me to upgrade the Ipod software so i Did. After it restarted none of the downloaded apps work anymore. I have read MANY MANY MANY discussions on this and there is no fix. I am not wiping out all the songs and reload everything all over again. It will take forever. My wifes BD is Friday and this is making me so mad after I just dropped $300 on this thing. APPLE!!! Where is the fix? I deleted the apps and reinstalled they still don't work. Anybody got this figured out? I am getting ready to get my money back and tell everyone to avoid buying ipod until they get this upgrade bug fixed.

    I have the same problem. Brand new two days ago. I synched the touch with Itunes but wasn't hooked up to the internet at the time so didn't do the software upgrade right away. Then I downloaded about a dozen apps (free and paid) with wifi directly to the touch. They all worked fine. Then I plugged it back in to Itunes and had it upgrade it to 3.1.2. It locked up Itunes several times since then and the downloaded apps no longer work (they start to open then disappear).
    The problem is, no one is listening to this problem (including Anna above)! Everyone says "just do a hard reboot, or restore to factory settings, reload the apps, etc." I've tried all the standard troubleshooting but none of it fixes this. It sure seems to me this is a problem with 3.1.2 but Apple isn't helping out here. Where are you APPLE? Use some of those outrageous profits you're making to fix the problem you have created. Here's $300 of my hard earned dollars pretty much down the drain.

  • I have ios 5.1.1. When I sync to iTunes, my purchased apps no longer work. They blink but do not open. The only way I have been able to solve this, is as follows: I delete one of the apps and then re-download and install it. Then, all my apps work.

    My new iPod touch 64 Gig has a problem after syncing with iTunes. My purchased apps no longer work. I touch them and they seem to try to open but they do not.
    The only way I have found to fix this is as follows:
    I delete one of the purchased apps. Then I go to the App Store and re-download and install the same app. After that, all my apps work again.
    Please help.

    Download/install an app is a know possible solution.
    3. Install another app from the App Store
    If all user-installed apps are not launching, it could be an Apple ID authorization issue. Download and install an app that isn't already installed on your device to reset this information.
    Note: If you have installed apps using multiple Apple ID accounts, you may need to perform this step for each account.

    If I try to add a song to "next songs" the app crashes. But it works fine on the iphone 5 with ios 7.0.3
    What could be the solution to solve this problem?

    Did you try deleting then reinstalling the app?  Sometimes developers will need to update their apps for compatibility.  If it still doesn't work after reinstalling, wait a few days to see if an app update becomes available.
