Samsung T609 Compatibility

Has anyone got the GSM Samsung SGH-T609 to work with iSync, either through the USB cable or Bluetooth?
It works fine through Bluetooth File Exchange, and iSync sees the phone, but says "iSync cannot connect to this device". Also, Address Book will let me send vCards to the phone just fine, and it says it's connected via Bluetooth, but the Call Info Display (where it tells me who's calling when my phone rings) doesn't pop up when I receive a call, even when I'm well within Bluetooth range of the computer.
I wonder how long it's gonna be before Apple adds T609 support to iSync... but until then, has anyone found a way to make it work with iSync and any Address Book features other than sending vCards? And maybe for apps like BluePhoneElite to recognize it?
Thanks,
-Aran

Unfortunately, as stated in list, no Samsung phones are iSync compatible.
I believe that this is because Samsung chose to use their own proprietary syncing protocol rather than the industry standard SyncML, or in phones that do support SyncML, their version of it is quite rubbish.
From what I read, it is very unlikely that Apple will be able to support proprietary syncing methods, so unless Samsung aligns itself with the rest of the industry, you're going to be out of luck for iSync.
Some of these links may help, however:

You'd have to contact the authors of the last two to ask about your phone specifically.
As this is such a common question here, I just wonder why so many people choose and buy a mobile phone, before researching its Mac-compatibility?

  • MacBook Pro and Samsung screen compatibility

    Hi there
    I have a 13" MacBook Pro 7,1, screen resolution 1280 x 800.  I also have a Sony HDVD camera [HDR-SR11E].
I am thinking of buying a Samsung monitor for ease of video and picture editing -- SAMSUNG 2333HD, which has a 23-inch widescreen display; 16:9 Aspect Ratio; 1920 x 1080 Resolution; 300 cd/m2 Brightness.
Apparently it has "two HDMi sockets, a DVI input and a VGA entry"
Is the aspect ratio of the Samsung compatible with my Mac and do I have to purchase any extra peripherals to make these pieces of equipment work together?
Thanks for any clear, simple help anyone can give

    There are two different models.

  • Help on readubg .pdfs for Samsung SGH ZX20

...so I bought this beefed up phone, the Samsung SGH ZX20
with the 1Gg microSD card and USB transfer cable and see I may be
S.O.L. on one of my desires to view .pdf files directly upon my
phone. My question before I rant in another direction is:
Can I install FlashLite 2.0 upon my phone myself? Noticed
only Verizon has capability offered across certain phones but I am
locked into Cingular. Must I wait for Cingular and Samsung to
integrate into some future firmware after more defined contractual
agreements get made? Please don't say it is...
Before trying anything on own and messing up anything, I
thought I would explore my DIY ability to transfer and install such
SW on my phone or find out if there is anything targeted for
release with this phone. Eyeballing the Samsung product
compatibility page under a link I pulled from this form only lists
one freakin' model...the SCH-A950. I don't get the sense this page
is updated too frequently so can someone upon this forum lend some
kind assistance involving the SGH ZX20? Much oblidged!!!
Time to now digress and rant about the feature holes of
    todays mobile technology...
While I figured out things so I can convert and view my tech
training videos to this phone, I seek some means to enable my
viewing of .pdf files. Hoping for some means to see a rolling text
of content. Don't care much about graphics or pretty fonts, just my
ability to be more productive during the lull or down moments at or
in between youth sporting events. Yes, I know the viewing on a
small screen will be more limited but the mobility and extreme
portability of 1 gadget versus many motivates me to walk along the
bleeding edge until things are bundled in a way for a serious
working professional seeking a life balance versus the crap that
such resources are focussed upon now (i.e. games, music, etc.).
Hope to see integrated eyewear around corner to better view
such content that's tied to my present phone's memory.
Hey, its great to make money off the teenage or the
I_Never_Want2_Grow_Up market but how about some serious mobile
applications too and make them more readily available? Geez, I got
features like "controlled" shopping, IM, right on the top menu but
NO ability to pick-n-choose my own menu choices along with their
priority/hierarachy. Personally, alarms and schedules rate
    higher...
Since Samsung does not appear to have a forum structured like
this, I hope OEMs like them or service carriers may see my post
here and be more ballast with what exiciting new features they
envision are can start targeting to deploy within the
marketplace...these providers would then capture my Quan and $$$.

Know the Blackberry uses Java to strip out everything and
supplies the ability to simply read the text content from .pdf
files but sure hope Flashlite can do a bit better than that.

    Bill,
Thank you so much for taking the time to respond to my
question. No matter how disappointing the news is relative to my
non use of Flashlite on my Samsung...
As I don't wish to assume the absolute worst, can you offer
any other thoughts pertaining to alternatives? With the
Blackberry's I believe they just use Java which strips everything
out so just the text can roll for display.
Whatever advice or direction suggestions you may have further
    will be greater appreciated.
Have a Terrific Xmas and New Year! Thank you again!

  • Back Forward arrows not working properly Safari 5.1.2

After upgrading to Safari 5.1.2 on Snow Leopard, I have run into a bug with the back and forward arrows. Most of the time they are greyed out and not working. I have to move back and forward with either the keyboard shortcut or the menu. Sometimes one or the other starts to work, but it is not clear why. I have not seen both working yet.

Here is what comes up (a lot!). I feel like the days of  "Conflict Catcher" with MacOS 9 and before! Anyway, it is late here, maybe where you are, too. Thanks for all the quick replies. I need to get some sleep and will come back to this in the morning.

Thanks, Flex harUI, for the direction in regards to isolating build changes. That aside (still working on it), can you offer any direction in regards to my original question on SDK and AIR compatibility? I'm specifically looking for a version compatibility mapping or anything that definitively states, "Flex SDK x.y.z works with the following versions of AIR". This information is crucial for us in order to more specifically plan our own roadmap built upon these two frameworks as we consider both existing installations of our software and future distributions.

What might be issues with Apple TV's compatibility with Samsung LED TV's, specifically the 5550 or 5500?

I am shopping, with a focus on Samsung, and was told by a Samsung rep their TV's were not compadible with Apple TV. I found this difficult to believe so I wanted to pursue with persons knowledgeable with Apple TV.
If I find that Samsung is not compadible I wanted to determine which lines, e.g. Sony, might be compadibile, as I wanted to use Apple TV.
    Thank yoyu

  • MSI GX660R with intel motherboard and compatibility with Samsung 840 EVO SSD

    Hi
Im am new to this forum, so I apologize in advance if this post is in the wrong section.
I am considering to replace the hard drive in my MSI GX660R with a Samsung 840 EVO 250 gb ssd, since it has the best benchmark ratings and are very afordable. My laptop has an Intel motherboard with an i7 core processor.
My question in relation to the upgrade is, whether the laptop is compatible with that excact ssd. I plan to run it in AHCI mode, since I have bad expirience with loss of data under RAID. If i chose to run the extra HDD as a secondary drive, it will therefore still be under AHCI.
Can anyone refer me to some sort of compatibility list, or tell me if the above mentioned drive is compatible? I havent been able to find out myself, and MSI is farily difficult to get in contact with.
    Any help is appreciated.

Yes, your early 2013 Retina model uses 6.0 Gbps SATA but it's not a standard mSATA connection. You could upgrade using Transcend's JetFlash -> http://www.transcend-info.com/apple/jetdrive/ - to space up to 960GB, however.

  • Mac mini compatibility with 1600x900 Samsung monitor?

I have just purchased a Mac mini Z0FW-2GB (2GHZ 2GB DDR3 RAM/120GB drive) and would like to pair it up with a Samsung 2033SW 20-inch with a resolution of 1600x900
Does anyone know if this monitor / resolution will work natively with Mac mini? Does the necessary connector ship with the Mac mini?
    Thanks.

A Mac can automatically configure itself for any resolution on-the-fly based on whatever EDID (display driver data) it receives from the monitor it is connected to. That is, for example, why all Macs, even older ones, are successfully running monitors like the new 2048 x 1152 ones that have recently come into the market. Even though older Macs may pre-date the existence of that new and never previously existing format by several years, they are still able to read the EDID and self-configure their graphics output into any resolution. For this reason, I doubt you will have any trouble with a 1600 x 900 monitor.
And, yes, everything you will need comes with the Mac mini (Mini DVI to DVI Adapter) or the monitor (DVI cable), so you won't need to buy anything extra.

  • Mac Pro and Samsung 32" LED TV Compatibility issues

PLEASE HELP! I purchased this new Tv as my Monitor. I am a photographer and need a clear image and color clarity. The Tv only offers resolutions that are not working! I purchased a new HDMI to DVI cable thinking that might fix the problem. No luck yet. Any suggestion would be great!

Well you don't specify the model of your TV nor the resolution... anyway, the largest resolution you'll ever get from a TV (ever as in the current models offered in stores) is 1920x1080.
I've plugged my MBP via DVI cable to my Samsung series 530 fullHD (1080p) 32" to watch movies, and the tv screen do not make justice either to the os X interface or to any application, it plays the HD content gorgeously but definitely not for serious working... i have a Samsung 23" monitor (2333TN) same full HD resolution connected to my MacPro and it allows me to work comfortably but it is not as nice as the 24" screen on my iMac or the 27" Apple LED Cinema Display...
    Good Luck...
Remember... it doesn't have to do with your graphics card but with the actual number of physical pixels built in the screen!!

  • HP and Samsung Compatibility

Please help me if you can
hi there I need help please, I just bought a new HP Pavillion 17 notebook PC with windows 8,  and a HP Photosmart 7520 before I open the boxes can you please tell me if they are compatible with my Samsung s4 and tab2?  I can take them back to the store as long as the boxes are not open.  This is the 4th printer I have bought and hopefully the last.  I already have ePrint app downloaded on phone and tab2 and I have wifi also.

Hi there, I can tell you that the Photosmart 7520 supports printing from Samsung mobile devices using the ePrint app you have downloaded. In fact if the S4 phone has the latest KitKat version of Android OS it has a native printing function that means you don't even need to use the app. Take a look at his link for more details on printing from Android mobile devices with HP http://www.hp.com/united-states/campaigns/mobility/#android-tab
In relation to the Pavilion notebook, I'm not altogether sure I understand what you mean by asking if that is compatible with the Samsung devices. Can you clarify further?
    Hope this information helps.

  • Samsung Smart Panel - compatibility with Mac OS X Lion

Am using a MacBook Air with OS X Lion and have a Samsung CLP-315 color laser printer in the office.  My concern is that the Smart Panel does not seem to work with 10.7 Lion.  This is a bummer since I can't seem to determine the amount of toner left in my cartridges, unlike when I was using 10.6 Snow Leopard.
Does anybody know if the Smart Panel is already compatible with 10.7 Lion - or alternatively, does anyone know how I can determine the content of my toner cartridges?  The LEDs on the control panel on the printer only tells me when they're actually empty - so it doesn't really help.

Smart panel works OK for me on Lion but the printer is CLP325-w. (though only recently updated and Im pretty sure it was ok on the CLP315 too.
To check status go to system preferences>Print&Scan and the check the options and supplies box. You should be able to see 4 toner levels.
Also, what happens when you actually choose to print? On mine I get a box appear which actually shows toner levels each time.
I'm not actually in the office right now so I'll check later and post again if I can add anything.

  • Compatibly :  Samsung Focus mobile vs. Adobe

I have a Samsung Focus mobile phone and am constantly being asked to download Adobe Flash Player to view emails, videos, etc.  When trying to download I am always unsuccessful usually because my phone says it's unable to download exe. files.  The only Adobe product that downloaded ?successfully? was Adobe Reader and am unsure that it was even successful because I have yet been able to fugue out how it works.  Are there any Adobe products/apps. that are compatible with this particular phone or am I just running in circles trng to find anything hAdobe to work on my phone?
