Samsung wireless LAN adapter

My Samsung BD-P1590 DVD player calls for a Samsung wis09abgn LAN adapter but Best Buy does not carry these.  Will a Samsung wis12abgn work on this DVD player instead?

Yes, according to Samsung.

  • Add Samsung Wireless LAN adapter to AE

I am using a Samsung WIS12ABGN "stick" with a 46" Samsung LED TV.
My network hardware consists of an Airport Extreme using Airport Utility 6.1 and a Westell Modem/Wirless Router. I have been using WPA2 security. The AE is in bridge mode.
I am unable to get the "stick" to get an ip address, or join, the existing wireless network. I tried turning off security completely, and also changing the wireless network radio frequency.
If I remove the AE from the network, the "stick" finds and joins the wireless network created by the Westell with no issues whatsoever.
Help is appreciated; I would like to keep using the AE as my WAP as I have an Airport Express being used as a printer server and hate to lose that.

    A few tips:
Make sure that the name of your wireless network contains no special characters like an apostrophe, a dollar sign, an asterisk, exclamation mark, etc.
Keep the wireless network name short.....12 characters or less with no spaces in the name
Use only letters and numbers in the name.  For example, you network name might be somthing like:
    spwireless
Same rules for your wireless network password
You do not mention what wireless security that your Westell router is using, but if it is WPA2 Personal, then the rules above should help the Samsung connect.
You may need to change the wireless security setting on the AirPort Exteme to a more compatible WPA/WPA2 Personal setting.

  • Wireless lan adapter

do i need a wireless lan adapter for my tv to connect with wireless router?

Yes, if it doesn't have wireless built in. Provide the model number of the TV if you wish specifics.

have you searched the forums? There are a bunch of threads on the ath9k module not working correctly with the latest kernel.
That's why it works in the live cd environment but stops working once you update and login to your actual installation.

  • Streaming 3d movies to my Samsung 3DTV using AirPort express and a wireless LAN adapter has not worked.   What is my cheapest option for making this happen?

I need a transfer rate minimum of 9mbps.  My AirPort express and 3DTV are on different floors, so I cannot directly connect with an ethernet cable.  Can I buy an older AirPort express, use it as a bridge, and connect my TV to it via an ethernet cable?

    Hi rockchalker,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
For 802.11n Wi-Fi base stations, creating a roaming network is by far the best choice. This will provide the best throughput between the base stations and your Wi-Fi devices.
If you are unable to build the recommended Roaming network, then a Wirelessly Extended Network is the next best option.
For more information on this, take a look at this article:

  • Samsung Blueray C5500 won't connect to my E2000 using Samsung wireless LAN (WIS09ABGN)

After dealing with Samsung tech support I was able to get the blueray to connect to internet with a wired ethernet connection, but it won't work with a wireless connection.  Per tech support I need to open ports 80, 443 and 8080 on my router.  I browsed this sight but I'm still not sure how I open those ports.  One message showed a way but it also said I need to get the IP address of the bluray, but that's confusing??  Do I need the IP of the Samsung Link Stick?  Where do I find that?  How do I open ports?
    Thanks

Open the setup page of the router. Go to Applications and gaming tab. Click on Port triggering sub tab.
In application name type ABC. In start and end port type the port number 80. Again in  start and end port box type 80. Check the box enabled.
In seconds application type DEF, In start and end port type 443. Check the box enable.
In this way you can try to open the ports on the router.
If that doesn't work then you will need to use port forwarding. In this case you will need to check the IP address of Blu ray. I think if you go network settings of Blu ray, you will find the IP address of the device.

  • A31p 2653 r3u - Encore wireless lan adapter

When installed, the fast switch page goes away and a drop down menu for shut-down, standby, ect appears instead.  Also a login screen now appears upon startup.  I believe their is an issue involving the wlancugina.dll and wirelessgina.dll.  These 2 .dll's appeared after the installation.  Encore tech says the ms.dll from IBM.  I said help!

Just throwing this out there: I had a cash register which bafflingly refused to talk to other systems on the network, except for just a few minutes after it booted. The problem was cured by unchecking "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" in the Power Management tab of the Realtek ethernet card Device Manager Properties.

  • Airp Exp and a new Samsung wireless TV and BluRay Player?

Has anyone had experience with the Express being compatible with the Wireless LAN adapter and additional streaming AV required? I'm getting a Samsung LED C8000 series and the BRP 5900,wireless capabilities also.
    Thx in advance

I received the products ie: the Samsung BD-C5900 w/dongle,(LED TV) UN46C800 with WISO9ABGN dongle, and a BD-C6900 with 3D capabilities. All worked perfectly with my Apple Airport Express router. Like they were made for each other!

  • Lan adapter

Can you use any wireless lan adapter on wifi ready tv's? I have a panasonic viera tv, and a lg. my lg tv is hooked up directly to my router, it came with a wireless adapter. Can I use that adapter on the panasonic tv?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

The wireless adapter that came to your TV is probably a requirement in order for the TV to pickup Wireless signals from your router. And based on my observation of televisions in the past , some wireless adapters were proprietary and you could not plug in another Wireless USB adapter unless it was approved by the TV manufacturer so..... All you need is a Wireless N router and you are set to go. If you already have a router it will most likely work fine, but Wireless N is optimal for this kind of setup.

  • Wirelees LAN adapter for samsung TV

How can i get my Airport to see my LAN adapter?

The TV is wirelessly connected right now, correct? Are you setting up your TV using a static IP?
I’d suggest leaving all the network settings at auto, so that it picks up everything from the router, unless there’s a particular reason that you need to set it up with a fixed IP.
Would you happen to know the IP address of your router?
If you don’t, you can find it by checking the router information under Router Settings in the Cisco Connect software.
If you post that information, I can tell you what information you would need to put in for the static IP.
Also, the TV would ask you for the wireless network password, which is again something you can get from Cisco Connect.

  • What should I download as the wireless LAN driver/adapter

When I search for a wireless LAN driver in the hp site there are 8 or more wireless LAN drivers/adapters under different names. I do not know what exactly I need. please help me. I downloaded Mediatek 802.11wireless LAN adapter driver but I couldn't connect to any other laptop's wifi hotspot. Sometimes it says "Connecting to the connecting to the network is taking longer than usual".Because of this I can not play LAN games. I know the connection is limited but connecting to the network should be fast and there should not be any problem with it.

Hi there ,  Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome! This is a great site to get answers and ask questions.  I understand that you are looking to find out which Wireless LAN driver you should download for your Wireless Adapter. If you look under your device manager, what does it say under Network Adapters ?  You can right click on the Network Adapter it lists and click Update Driver Software right there. Do you have any exclamations marks or red x's? Your could also use the HP Support Assistant to make sure that all of your updates have been done. That would put the proper driver in also.  If you want to use the HP Pavilion 15-n240tx Notebook PC Driver Webpage, all you have to do is find out what the name of your Network Adapter is in your Device Manager. (Picture above) Please follow these provided troubleshooting steps, re-post and let me know how everything went. Thank you! Have a great day!
