Sandisk SD card

Hi,
I have a 32GB SanDisk SD card and my MacBook Air won't read the card. I've removed it then inserted the card multiple times. What can I do to fix the problem it?

Can the card be read on other Mac's? Have you opened disk utilities to see if it shows up there?

  • Camera Connection Kit with a SanDisk CF card reader not working in iOS4

Camera Connection Kit with a SanDisk CF card reader worked great before switch to 4.2.1. Now I get a message:"The connected USB device requires too much power". Again, worked great in OS3. What did Apple change? Same circumstances. The CCK works with the SD card reader, so it is working. Anyone running into this problem? Any answers? I have to use CF cards. As do many people with DSLRs.

I would be very happy for Apple to make a Compact Flash card reader just like the SD connection. Its something I would purchase immediately. Sadly Apple is yet to realise that not everbody uses crappy little point and shoot or entry level DSLR cameras and those that have the high end gear are those who woulld actually use the iPad in the real world for a travelling "light-box".
BTW does Apple ever look at this forum? or is it just a place that they specifically ignore when it comes to faulty programming or products?

  • 8310 WILL NOT RECOGNIZE SANDISK 8Gb CARD

OK gang, not quite the same problem everyone else is discussing.  I have an 8310 with ATT on 4.2.2.170.  I just installed a Sandisk 8Gb card that I purchased and received yesterday.  I installed it thinking it would immediately recognize 4Gb based on what I have read in various postings and expert replies, but in Media Manager, it seems not to recognize it at all.  Cannot transfer pictures or files over to it.  Sooo, have I done something wrong?  My BB did pop up a message that asks if I want to turn on the media card, and I replied YES.
Any help would be appreciated, as always!  Thanks in advance!!

Do yu have a card reader for your PC that you can use to read the card?
If not go to OPTIONS MEDIA CARD MENU KEY FORMAT.
If you have the option use the PC.
make sure that you have the following folders on the media card:
    blackberry
    music
    pictures
    ringtones
    vidieos
    voicenotes
This is where the BB will look for the associated files.

  • SanDisk 32GB-card not working on ZiiO7

I know that many users have had problems with 32GB SD-cards on the ZiiO7.
To prevent any problems i checked the list of compatible micro-SD cards before I bought one:
    http://support.creative.com/kb/showa...aspx?sid=91809
I bought a SanDisk 32GB card, SDSDQM-032G-B35N, that is supposed to work on the ZiiO7.
The card DOES NOT WORK!!! It works perfectly on my phone and on my computer, but the ZiiO
will not recognise it. Right now I am just furious that Creative made such a crappy product as the
ZiiO 7 and I am pretty sure that Creative cant find its own ass even with the help of both hands.
The list is incorrect and because of it I have paid much money for a SD-card that is not compatible
with my tablet. Thanks a lot!!! :-(

Please try to power down and then power up again the ZiiO tablet for the microSD to be detected properly.

  • SanDisk 4GB Card Won't Mount

If I connect the camera directly to my MAC and open iPhoto, it works just fine. The SD card however won't work on my SanDisk reader nor on my Lexar card reader. My CF card works on the Lexar reader though. How can I make this work?
    Thanks!

  • Sandisk SDHC card won't mount

    Hey guys,
I am using a Sandisk SDHC 4GB card. It's referred to as Sandisk-Ultra.
For the first time ever, I tried to use it on my iMac. I directly inserted it in the card slot on the left hand side of the machine [iMac view] but it wouldn't mount.
    I am running OS X 10.7.2.
I have never used an SDHC card before so I may not know some of the specifics.
    Any help?
    Thank you
    Regards

  • MacBook Pro won't read Sandisk SDHC cards since Lion 10.7.1 update

Hi all, just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I know there are dozens of posts about SD cards not working with MacBook pros, but mine seems to have started when I installed the latest Lion update.
I have a high-end 13" early 2011 MBP and the cards I'm having trouble with are all Sandisk 4GB SDHC. Two are 'Extreme III's" and one is an Extreme II. The card reader is showing up in System Profiler, and a really old 2GB Sandisk card gets read fine, so there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the MBP hardware.
Similarly, I can read the cards fine via a USB adapter, so it's not the cards that are causing the problem.
I had successfully imported photos from the cards before upgrading to Lion, and also before installing the 10.7.1 update. So, it looks like the problem may be linked with the update, but this is purely an educated guess.
I've tried resetting the SMC to no avail.
Has anyone else experienced something like this?

I've got the same problem. I've got a late 2010 MacBook Pro unibody running Mac OS 10.7.1 on it. I installed the 10.7.1 updated most likely on 8/17/11 the day after it was released by Apple. Since then I was able to read SDHC cards as I shot a number of photos and videos to my cards and they worked fine.
I'm not sure what has changed since then, it wasn't as simple as the 10.7.1 update then it didn't work. This is the problem I'm having below, just started to experience this on 9/2/11. I tested with two 32GB SDHC cards, one 16GB SDHC card and one 2GB SD card. All cards were manufactured by Transcend.
    FAIL:
    * SDHC cards (16GB and 32GB) will not mount and isn't recognized by the MBP via the built-in SD card slot
    * SDHC cards (16GB and 32GB) will not mount and isn't recognized by the MBP via SanDisk 2.0 card reader connected via a short USB cable.
    * If I put any SDHC card into a SanDisk USB 2.0 reader that is connected to my USB hub (I gave it a try in case there was a power problem with the MBP USB system) the card is not recognized either.
    * Even Disk Utility will not see the card when inserted via built-in card slot or a reader.
    SUCCESS:
    * SD cards (2GB) mount fine when inserted either in the built-in SD card slot or via my SanDisk USB 2.0 reader.
    * If I leave the SDHC card in my camera (Canon 60D) and connect the camera to my MBP via USB I can import the images via Aperture.
    * If I put the SDHC card into the memory card slot reader of my HP inkjet printer (it has multiple card slots for different types) the card will mount normally like it is supposed to via the two failed methods above.
I'm also sending this info to Apple but wanted to post here since there are three inconvenient work-arounds.

  • Transfer videos from SanDisk memory card to imovie

I am having problems transfering videos from my memory card (SanDisk) to imovie. I have watched the tutorials and they dont seem to help.

Mount the card to the desktop in a card reader or your camera if it mounts and drag them to a folder - right click on the folder and burn to Disk
Or import to iPhoto and export as kind = original to a desktop folder and burn that

  • 3110 Classic and Sandisk memory card

    Hi
I have just acquired a Nokia 3110 Classic and wonder whether the Sandisk Micro SD cards are compatible, and, if so, what is the maximum memory supported by this phone?

If it takes microSD cards, then SanDisk cards should work fine (they usually are, to my experience).
I don't have your model, but I suspect that 2GB would be the maximum it can handle. Check the 3110 Classic accessories that Nokia lists on http://www.nokia.com (if 2GB cards are listed there, then they should work).

  • SanDisk microSD card not detected

    Greetings,
My 8900 model is not detecting the 2 GB microSD card I just purchased for it. I have triple checked  the insertion, rebooted the device, updated the software, reformatted the card on my PC, and set the  Memory options to automatically detect and use a media card once inserted.
Can anyone tell me why the card is still not being detected? Many thanks!

Also keep in mind that what ever else you have stored on the phone memory will limit the amount of messages as the phone memory is a shared space.
Contacts, Images, Ringtones, Music, Calendar entries and other things stored on the phone memory limits the space left to be use by messages. Go to your gallery and see what you have stored in phone memory and try to put it on the memory card instead.
You can also try to do the following :
    Menu->Gallery->Options->Memory Status->Phone Memory
You should get a break down of the usage as in :
    Free Memory : x.xxMB
    Gallery : x.xxMB
    Messaging : x.xxMB
    Applications : x.xxMB
    Bookmarks : x.xxMB

  • Sandisk SD Card won't download images

A friend of mine is having trouble opening Raw images he shot on D800 Nikon. They won't open on his Macbook Pro, but I can open them on my IMac. Any advice?

Yep - I can open a NEF file in Preview, as well.

  • My Sandisk 8gb card won't download into my MacBook pro. It was working perfectly 24hrs ago. Any ideas out there?

How can this be? As I have changed nothing in my mac. It's so frustrating, can anyone suggest what to do?

I have already copied my photographs to the a library manager but when I tried to reuse iphoto and import the photos back into iphoto, it would not let me.
You can't "copy" your photos to the "library manager", there is just no way to any such thing.
    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

  • How to export photos from iPhoto to memory card SanDisk

    Hi;
I am trying to move photos from iPhoto to a flash drive. In the flash drive I have a SanDisk memory card in a Kodak 50-IN-1 Card reader and I put it into the drive. I have tried to open iphoto click on the photo, go to file click on export and it. The photo shows up in the flash drive port, I can click on it and see it but when I take the disk and try to re-upload the disk the photo will not show up on iphoto nor will it show up in the camera.
The second way I tried was to create a folder, copy to the folder and the drag folder to the device. I again ended up with the same results.
Why will it show up in the device when I click on the device but the photo will no show up in iphoto or when I put the disk into the camera?
    Tom

Most cameras expect photos to be in specific folder(s) on the card and to have file names in specific formats. My Canon G12, for example, uses a structure like this:
    CANON_DC
    ....DCIM
    ........100___01
    ............IMG_0001.CR2
    ............IMG_0001.JPG
    ............more photos
    ........100___02
    ............IMG_0007.CR2
    ............IMG_0007.JPG
    .............more photos
(My camera is set to create a new folder every month, but there are other options. One of my previous cameras went to a new folder every hundred photos.)
Examine a card formatted by your camera with some pictures taken by your camera to discover what sort of file structure and filenames your camera creates, then mimic that.
On the re-import side, iPhoto and Image Capture know about the common file structures and filenames, so it recognizes them when it sees them. Dropping long, random names in the top level of the card as illustrated in the video is likely only to work when you view the card on another system with a general file structure with an application that makes full use of it (like Finder or Windows Explorer).

  • How can i see my sandisk 4 gb memory card of my canon slr camera?

hiii   how can i see my sandisk memory card of my canon slr camera

Read the user manual that came with your camera or contact the vendor.  My camera asks me where I want my uploads to go to.  There is a setting in its option menu.  Desktop is the default upload feature that my camera has.
When I connect the memory card to a reader, the photos automatically upload to my desktop.
