Sandpit and Dev give Address search with different results using Web UI

Using the Sandpit system I can perform a BP search on Street and enter the post code, but it still finds the right address. However, in our development sytsem it does not. The FM which performs the search is identical so I assume this would be down to some kind of address related config?. Can anyone enlighten me further as what could possible cause this?.

Okay. So, I asked the admin to create a scope for the list, which they did following the steps outlined in Ben Tedders article, and then I followed the steps in the rest of the article setting up the web parts. When I ran a search, it returned the no results
page. Not sure why, but I removed the scope from the Search Core Results web part, and the search returned usable data from the list.
Here's my part ii question - - how do I customize the Search Core Results web part to display the data from the search in manner that makes more sense than from a list of nondescript layout of,
Search Result
     Search Term ... dataField01 ... dataField02 ... dataField03 ... dataField04 ...
     author info
url info
to something a tad more informative, such as,
You search for Search Term, with the following results:
     Search Result
          dataField01 label ... dataField01
          dataField02 label ... dataField02
          dataField03 label ... dataField03
          dataField04 label ... dataField04
because nobody's really going to care who uploaded the list or want to link to the data pulled from the list in one of those columnar results tables.

Set up an additional user account and use one for work and one for personal stuff - each will have a separate address book. Turn on fast user switching for easy switching between the two.

Maybe this is relevant: I bought iphoto from the German apple store but I now live in Italy. I have tried German credit card with German invoicing address and Italian shipping address. And I have tried Italian credit card with Italian invoicing address and Italian shipping address. The phenomenon is the same: shipping address appears in red and I am asked to fill in the mandatory fields (which turn red whatever I enter).

what is the setting for the Print Products Store in the Advanced Tab of the iPhoto Preferences?
The country you select there has to match the billing address. And your billing address should match the country of your AppleID and credit card used with the AppleID.

Take it in for repair or exchange. Be prepared to write a pretty big check unless you bought AppleCare+.

I switched the usb port and did the whole recovery holding of the buttons ect... And it worked, the computer detected the phone and i was able to click restore. However, the computer says preparing iphone for restore and it is still doing the restarting thing where the apple fades away and then comes back like it is restarting. If i can somehow get past this i will be able to go back to factory settings and resolve my problem, but this is where i am stuck.

Siri comes up with different results than google maps

I was doing a search for Food Lion through Siri but she wasn't finding the one right around the corner from my house. I went into maps and it found it no problem. Why do they come up with different results? I thought Siri searched google maps.

Not really. You should not be sharing an Aperture library over a network. It's not designed for that and you'll likely corrupt your library at some point.

hi,
somehow i cant use the daqmx digital counter to generate nice 10MHz pulse train with my pxi 6733.
The option now I can use my timing module pxie 6674T to have base clock 40MHz, and then using divisor 1 and 2 I can generate 2 synchronized clock in PFI0 and PFI1.
Then I use function connect terminal to connect Oscillator and PXI_Clock_10 to get my pxi chassis synchronized with my timing module.
Then I use pxi clock as reference to generate my digital signal with pxie 6544.
Somehow, my generated signals; clock from timing module, pxi clock from backplane and digital signal from pxie 6544 are not synchronized. The phase difference keeps changing.
I dont see any Init.vi while working with pxie 6674T. I'm assuming I can simply connecting clocks and triggers through RTSI bus, then generate my digital signal with 6544.
I need help to have 10Mhz from 6674T and another 10Mhz from 6544 with 1/4 phase difference between them, which should be stable all the time.

Just a little claritification, you need to add the value to the variable "[string]$ou", and also change the language in the variable "$emailbody" in the function "Get-ADUserPasswordExpirationDate".

Two very different results using the same settings (H.264 / Quicktime Pro)

I’m a bit confused, I have used Quicktime Pro (v7.1) to encode DV into H.264 for iPod and this particular video is 18 minutes long and came out looking very good with the following settings;
VIDEO: H.264 at 200kbps, Baseline Profile, 25fps, Auto Key Frames, 320x240 or 640x480, Multipass Best quality encoding.
AUDIO: AAC Audio at 96kbps, 24kHz sampling freq, Stereo.
However here is the twist…
When I use the same exact settings to encode just the 30 second opener (from the 18 minute video) the encoded opener looks bad and blocky!
Why? Same settings would make you assume that you should get a same or similar result, or am I wrong?
The reason I have tried encoding this 30 second opener is that I am trying to work out which settings work best on the iPod (another issue) and I don’t want to spend hours test encoding the full 18 minute video, as you know H.264 is SLOW to encode!
So can anyone help in regard to two very different results using the same settings?

Is it a commercially-released or home-burned CD?
If it's commercially-released, try "encouraging" the recalcitrant computer by using the iTunes Advanced menu > Get CD Track Names command when it shows Audio CD.
If it's home-burned, you will find that only the computer that actually burned the disc will know what's on it. The information won't be transferred to another computer.
Let us know which, if either, of these situations applies to you.

Am I losing it? Address search with N8

Alright Guys and Girls,
I am really confused as to what I believe should be a very simple task on my N8. Im going to maps and simply trying to search an address for a home. However, to my surpise I only can search names with in the outline categories. Could someone please give me a hand as to how I put an address into this darn thing for driving directions?

I 'm using the first navigator phone of mine (c5-00) and have to say that Nokia engineers have done everything to get us customers very confused. I compared a few other Nokia phones before buying c5-00 and it looks like almost every model of Nokia has slightly different type of menus.
Perhaps the functions inside menus are similar between different models. I experienced similar problems with the user drtbikeril. The address search function is very weird in all respect. After a week or so I have not found out an easy way to simulate the route from point A to Point B with the navigation functions of the phone. Adding route points with search function appears pretty complicated, indeed.
On a sunny day, I may walk into a Nokia shop and ask salesmen there to show if N8 works better with navigation and is easier to use but I would not be very surprised if the similar kind of fuzzy logic comes with N8 too. Of course, the bigger size of screen and touch screen are making the user experience a lot better.

Searching with different character sets

we have a problem with Intermedia 8.1.6. running on Solaris.
The table contains the text with different character sets and that's the problem. User submits the query in his char.set and the IM sometimes doesn't find the data.
Idea is to create the index using the flat ascii chars and to search in ascii ... but how?
Can anybody help me?

Issues with iCloud synchronisation and contacts over two or more devices. iTouch and iPad2 sync with different results from iMac. Thoughts?

Has any one experienced issues with iCloud synchronisation and contacts over two or more devices? The primary machine is an iMac running Lion. Address Book was created from vcf file (backup of address book prior to moving to iCloud). iTouch replicates Contacts just fine and matches the Address Book on the iMac. The iPad 2 does not showing only 123 contacts where there should be 200. I have turned off iCloud on both devices thus erasing the iCloud content of both devices and staring from scratch with both devices with identical results. Even turned off iCloud on the iMac and erased the Address Book and rebuilt with the same results. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions? I am going nuts.....

To follow-up with this issue:
I ended up performing a security wipe on my device. The security wipe finished, and I was about to reconnect with Exchange when I decided to visit our host's web site to see if they had any articles covering the issues I was experiencing. While they didn't have anything specific, I did find a step-by-step guide to connecting a BB10 device to Exchange... and right there at the end, it said "Do NOT enable memo sync."
I contacted support, and the rep told me that OS 10 has an issue with memo sync and it can cause all sorts of unpredictable behavior. Now, whether or not this is accurate I can say this: So far, the device is not disconnecting and reconnecting like it was before. Problem is, is this a result of not enabling memo sync, or is this a result of the security wipe?
I may have overlooked it, but I don't recall reading anything about that anywhere else. I'm tempted to try re-enabling the memo sync to see if everything blows up again. At least that way I can see for myself if the memo sync is a real issue. Of course, perhaps it's an issue with SherWeb (our host) specifically. Hm...
Anyway, for those that were interested, and for those that may come along in the future with a similar situation, the strange behavior that I first reported is no longer happening. I just don't know if it was a result of a security wipe or a result of not enabling memo sync with Exchange.
