SAP 4.7EE SR1 200Relase - CJS-00030 Assertion failed Argument listenerOraT
Hi All,
I am installing SAP 4.7EE 200 release on HP UX 11.23, JDK 1.4.2_12 on oracle 10g.
I have sucessfully installed DB using RUNINSTALLER, CI and while installing DB Instance installation i am getting error at Oracle net configuration step.
Log file shows
ERROR 2009-02-04 22:35:49 [iaxxinscbk.cpp:289]
abortInstallation
CJS-00030 Assertion failed: OraNetworkConfigurator.doServerNetworkConfiguration: Argument listenerOraTemplate must point to an existing file.
I tried to configure the listener manually using netmgr but also no luck.
Is there any work around on this.

I have stuck in the ABAP Import phase. I am getting the error in the utmost all the all the log files. I am not getting any clue on this. It saying the files are corrupted. Please check the log file ..

thanks for your quick response. However, I am curious to know what could be the problem. Please let me describe briefly what I have done so far.
- Started with ./sapinst and went thru choose service, define parameters, check parameters steps
- It prompted me to enter SolMan key, done.
- It stoped here and prompted me to login as oram1s and start Oracle installation by executing /oracle/stage/102_64/database/SAP/RUNINSTALLER. done.
- After completion of Oracle 10.2.0.1.0 installation, ran orainstRoot.sh and root.sh as root. done.
- SAP install manual suggests to apply Oracle patch set. Since I had downloaded 51031811 Oracle patch dvd from market place, I executed /sapsoftware/extract/51031811/DVD_ORACLE_10.2.0.2_Patches_LINUX/LINUX_X86_64/Disk1/runInstaller. It completed successfully so assume it applied Oracle 10g R2 patch set 1.
- Now, I went back to sapinstall session and continued from there on.
- It went thru a couple phases and "create database" and then came across this issue in "Create/Check tablespaces"
NOTE: I came across few other issues in between so followed proper resolution for those and moved on.
Have I missed something or done a mistake somewhere?

we trying to do os migration of SAP XI 3.0 system,
we have export from source system and building target system below see the steps followed.
1. install CI on target server
2. installing DB instace on target. But before proceeding further I have installed oracle software successfully and check it using
sqlplus > it is able to connect to sql.
know problem is after installing oracle sofware when I continued the DB instance installation.
System give me error as
CJS-00030 Assertion failed: OraSqlContext constructor: arguments dbSidOrSrcObject and dbHome are not valid ****
Dont know to solve this issue.

More over I am installing database instance using root.
let me focus more on error point.
Error is triggering at " create oracle database" step before to this step all steps are completed successfully.

I am performing Homogeneous System copy using backup/restore method.I have taken QA system backup ie dump files and trying to build on Sandbox system for testing purpose.Everything went fine and was able to load the dump but stuck at one of the point and throwing me error

I am sure these may be small changes that have to be made by changing the db owner and Im not exactly sure how to perform it.
Note:I am Using the Windows environment with Sybase ase database and SWPM tool to perform.

have any advice?Oracle 9 is out of support. Why are you using this version. You can install R/3 4.7 on Oracle 10g, and as per your problem have you installed oracle through setup.exe or Sapserver.cmd ?

I am trying to install WAS6.4 Sneak-Preview on win2k sp4 (Terminal), J2SE1.4.2_05 and every fresh installation is failing in the "MaxDB Database Installtion" phase with the following error message.

i managed to resolved this particular issue (it was because one of the NT service was not running)
However now the Installtion is hanging at one particular point "MaxDB Database Installation" (phase 5) the last few lines in the "sapinst.log" file are as follows:

My current System Configuration is as follows:
- MS Windows Server 2003 (Enterprise Edition)
- RAM 1 GB
- Pentium 4 2.4 Ghz processor
- 1.4.2_05 J2SE
And i have used both the Installation currently available on SDN site viz.
a)SAPinst_SP_WAS640.exe
b)WebAS640SP9.zip
I have also tried on m/c having Windows 2000 SP4 OS with 2GB of RAM without any success.
I even tried options such as "cancelling" the Installation and resuming it later without any success.
Though the installtion is hanging for MaxDB however it was succefull when tried with MS SQL-Server2000.
Can somebody provide any pointers in resolving this issue?

Be sure that your other system is stopped (also the db an the xserver is down). Then the installaition should work.

I'm doing a migration from ECC 5.0 MSSQL/Windows to ECC 5.0 Oracle
10g/Red Hat Linux 4 64. I installed the CI successfully. At the
database instance I choose system copy/migration. At the create
Oracle database step it failed with the message:
CJS-00030 Assertion failed: Component OraDbBuild: Context parameter
dbHome must be a valid ORACLE_HOME directory.
Oracle Home variable is set in the ora<sid> profile:
ORACLE_HOME=/oracle/ECD/102_64
I gave access 777 to this directory. I run the installation as root and
I set the ORACLE_HOME variable as root. Still the same error.

If i remember correct , Installation will ask you for MaxDB user ids , it will give errors latter if you give lengthy user ids ( i think >8 or 9 ) . So try not to give lengty ids also check your host name. Looks like that also too long

I think it is a common error if you have several Oracle instances on the same server and/or the oracle client directory already exist.
Just check out the check that the oracle/client/ and/or
oracle/client/<version>_<bit> and the installation directories
can be writen by the users ora<sid> and <sid>adm.

DVI to RGB cable does not seem to work
When I connect my MBP to my HDTV via a DVI to HMDMI converter cable I get excellent, razor sharp images. However when I connect using a DVI to RGB cable all I get is garbled signals. Any ideas on what I should be doing different? Thanks in advance!
