SAP 8.8 - statement in crystal report

Hi,
We have imported layout and reports available in SAP 8.8 Information Center, however, Customer statement (in Crystal version) does not seem to be part of it.
Will statement in Crystal report version be released in any near future?

Hi Paulo,
I am aware that the Crystal report layout available for download.  Unfortunately Customer statement is not one of them.
Yes, it is good that Crystal report is provided as a report writing tools.  However, we need to look beyond that.
Customer Statement is expected as standard report in all accounting packages and is a document that needs to be sent to third party, ie the customers.
Therefore, the presentatipon of it is important and also the information required is often more than what the existing one has.
The problem is, the data on the existing customer statement are populated by the program and what we can see is just field type "text".
The following screnarios are not taken care of.
Example:
1. It is normal that there are part payment invoice.
The normal request is showing original invoices amount, applied details (ie the receipts/credit notes applied against it) and also the outstanding balance.
2. Posting Date and Document Date are not the same.
SAP B1 allows posting date and document date to be different, but the Document Date fields is not avaialble in PLD.
3. No transactions available for the period.
Customer has no transaction in 1 March 2009 - 30 Apr 2009, however, there are opening balance prior to March 2009.
It is normal expectation that when you run the customer statement for 1 March 2009 to 30 March 2009, it will still produce a statement, with the prior balance row populated.
However, it just does not print the statement at all.
So, Customer has not choice but to keep posting date from blank.
These are just some of the problems.
I would hope SAP could look into this standard report, to add to the list, Stock Aging and Bank Reconciliation report should also be looked into.
Regards,

    Hi all,
I would like to call Crystal Reports in JSP. I can handle it well now. But I hope to let user input their selection criteria before printing out the report. I know how to get the parameter value in JSP, but I really dunno how to pass these parameter values into the SQL statement in Crystal Report. Actually, is it possible to do so?

  • How to generate Income Statement from Crystal Report

    Hi, Experts,
    I have:
    SAP BUSINESS ONE 2007A
    CRYSTAL REPORT 2008
I have a problem with generating Income Statement related reports from CRYSTAL.
    For example,
My revenue accounts are: '411000-00-00' and '412000-00-00', my expense accounts are: '510000-00-00' and '520000-00-00'.
I'd like to generate the Income statement for Dec 1 - 31, 2008. Please advise how to generate this report. Thanks!
    Lorrie

    Hi, Experts,
Currently, what I tested to generate the income statement is:
    1. find out the account detail table: JDT1. My database path: Company Name -> dbo -> Tables -> JDT1
    2. follow the standard report menu: add 'JDT1', show 'RefDate', 'ContraAct'; group by'Account', summarize by 'Account'.
    I have the following problems:
    1. with this method, I am not able to find the amount for each transaction. Because the amount does not have a name as 'RefDate' or some other fields.
    2. the 'Account' and 'ContraAct' are all shown as 'SYS00000001685'. It's sysmtem message but not the actual account number or contra account number.
    Thanks!

  • SAP BI upgrade causes Bw Crystal Reports to hang or timeout

We recently upgraded or patched our SAP BI to Service Pack 8 from service pack 4.  In doing so my SAP BW Crystal Reports have stopped working correctly.  It is only reports that are using a BW query that is the product of 3 multiproviders being joined together.  They ran in less that 1 minute before the upgrade and are now timing out.  If I try to run them in Business Objects they fail after running for an hour with a database connection error.
Has anyone experienced this same problem?

    Hi Tina,
Sorry, CR and BOE does not have a Service Pack 8 so what I meant was you are likely in the wrong forum.
Try this link and look for something that looks familiar for which ever product you are using:

  • State information/Crystal Reports

    Hi :
If there's an FAQ somewhere which answers these (or similar) question,
pardon me, and please direct me to it.
Q1. When I have a service object with Environment visibility and a
Transaction/Session Dialog Duration, how's state information maintained
? Is it automatic, or do I have to turn on the IsShared attribute on the
    service object class ?
Q2. I was trying to create a Crystal Report interface (CR V 5.0) to
forte (2.0.f2) and ran into some problems. I know it has been done by
others and would appreciate some help. After I created the C++ wrapper
code, I had to go in and remove the prototypes (both for
FORTE_NO_PROTOTYPE and the alternate one) for the code to compile. I
also had some problem in mapping HWND to forte data type. Any help on
    these will be greatly appreciated.
Please respond to either/both of the addresses brlow.
    Thanks.

    Priya Rath asks...
Q1. When I have a service object with Environment visibility and
    a Transaction/Session Dialog Duration, how's state information
maintained? Is it automatic, or do I have to turn on the IsSharedattribute on the service object class ?First of all, the IsShared attribute deals with ensuring multiple tasks
are not accessing/updating the same object concurrently. And while
setting this attribute helps to ensure that "state information" is not
corrupted by multiple tasks, it has nothing to do with "maintaining"
    state information.
So, the simple answer to your question is yes... assuming the state
information you mention is stored in SO attributes, then it will be
maintained automatically. However, as is the case with most simple
answers, there are numerous problems/issues that need to be considered.
    1) For message duration SOs, the state information would generally only
last for a single method invocation, which normally means that all state
information is passed as parameters to the method and not maintained in
    the SO.
    2) For transaction duration SOs, the state information lasts for the
duration of the transaction. Therefore, any initiating state information
needs to be passed as method parameters. Subsequently, any changes to
the SO state information (made during the current transaction) will be
maintained automatically. Once the transaction completes, Forte will
release the transactional lock making the SO available to other tasks.
However, should the SO/partition etc. crash during the transaction, all
state information is lost and the transaction will have to be restarted
(generally on a replicated copy of the SO).
    3) For EVSOs which permanently maintain state (regardless of duration),
the state information lasts for the entire life span of the SO and is
shared by all distributed tasks executing in the environment. As stated
earlier, setting the IsShared attribute can help ensure that this state
information is not corrupted by multiple tasks. However, if your EVSOs
have "permanent" state, then they can NOT generally be replicated for
failover or load balancing (since this state information will not be
available to the failed-over SO and will not be shared by load balanced
    SOs).
If, however, you truly wish to maintain "permanent" or "semi-permanent"
state in EVSOs, then I suggest you look at the Memento Design Pattern in
Erich Gamma's Design Patterns book. With some ingenuity and thoughtful
partitioning, this pattern can be adopted to maintain transient,
semi-permanent and permanent EVSO state information, INCLUDING REMOTE
OBJECT REFERNCES, and can recover this state in the event of FAILOVER
(though it does nothing to help with sharing state between load balanced
EVSOs). If you having any questions about how to adopt the Memento
    pattern, please let me know.

  • Crystal Report Layout With Prompts SAP BO v8.8

    Forum members,
I can successfully import a Crystal Report with parameters as a REPORT type into SAP BO 8.8.  But when I attempt to upload the same report as a LAYOUT type, I receive the error, "Missing Parameters" and the import process halts even when I set a value as the default value for the parameters.  I have two questions:
    1.  Does SAP BO v8.8 support Crystal Report parameters in print layouts?  If it does,
    2.  How do I resolve this error message and get this functionality to work?
    Thanks!
    Gregg

I ended up submitting this to SAP support as a bug.  Found that we can successfully print using the preview button first and then printing from that interface but sending the report directly to the printer or pdf generates an error.

  • Crystal Report and SAP BW

I have just installed the Crystal Report 2008 from the CD provided by the SAP. I installed it on Window Server 2008.
The installation completed successfully, however, when I double-click to run the Crystal Report, I hits the following error:
Crw32.exe u2013 Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point?PrintLegend@CMapXLegend@CSLib300@@AEXJJJJJ@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library cslibu-3-0.dll
I found the similar problem on the web with following solution (although this is not mentioned in Ingou2019s blog):
After installing crystall report 10 or 11, follow these steps:
    1. Right-click My Computer, then click Properties then click the Advanced tab.
    2. Click the Performance Settings button then click the Data Execution Prevention tab.
    3. Select the Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select: check box.
    4. Add all of the Crystal Enterprise executables.
    5. click ok. and close the window. open crystall report now
But I canu2019t even find the crw32.exe on the server!!! What is the problem??
Then I continue to install the Crystal Report 2008 Service Pack 2. When I install, I hits the following:
This patch only apply to crystal report 2008 SP1 u2013 Setup will exit now.
Why? I thought we should apply the SP2 for crystal report 2008 but why I hit the error?
I downloaded the following patch from sap website:
    CRYSTALREPORTS02_0-10007442.EXE
    Please help, thank you.

    Stratos,
    Can you explain the following:
You do have to install first CR 2008 V1 and then apply SP2 on top of it.
We're installing the Crystal Report 2008 from the CD given by SAP. From the SAP download website, there is Crystal Report 2008 V0 and Crystal Report 2008 V1. What is the different? The CD didn't mentioned if it is Crystal Report 2008 V0 or V1.
What I have done is installed the Crystal Report 2008 from the CD. Then install the CRYSTALREPORTS02_0-10007442.EXE which I downloaded from SAP website ->SAP BusinessObjects portfolio ->CRYSTAL REPORTS ->CRYSTAL REPORTS 2008 V1, but hits the following:
This patch only apply to crystal report 2008 SP1 u2013 Setup will exit now.
Sould I download the patch from:
    SAP BusinessObjects portfolio ->CRYSTAL REPORTS ->CRYSTAL REPORTS 2008 V1
    OR
    SAP BusinessObjects portfolio ->CRYSTAL REPORTS ->CRYSTAL REPORTS 2008 V0
    Please advise.

  • How to print Crystal Report within SAP Portal iView?

    Hi All,
We are using BOEJ XI 3.0 with integration with SAP NetWeaver Portal.  We are having a problem with printing a Crystal Report.
    - We use the SAP iView to run a Crystal Report.
    - Once the report is completed, we want to click on Print to send the report to a printer e.g. default printer.
    - Then a screen pops up and nothing gets printed.
It seems the print control is not being transferred.
Has anyone had this problem and what the resolution is?
    Thanks,
    Garry

    Hi Ingo,
Thank you for your response.  I have just got off the phone with SAP.  I was given two options.
    - Install ActiveX control on user's PC
    - Or set the user preference to use PDF in InfoView.
Both options seem to work.  Now it is the question of security on using ActiveX.  If this is the concern, then one can use the PDF option.
    Hope this helps.

    Garry

  • Crystal report and SAP system question

    Hi,
I try to report off the SAP system using crystal reports without installation of the BOE server. But with very few knowledge of the SAP system, I am not clear of how and what to do. The following is what I have done:
    1. From the client machine, I open the crystal report 2008
    2. click "SAP" button and then click "Create New Report from a Query"
    3. Select the system and enter the login user name/ password information
    4. A dialog "Select Query for your Crystal Report" displayed.
But under "Favorites", no entry found
        Under "Roles", no entry found
Under infoAreas,  there is a "Technical content" on top level and "Exchange Rate Type" is under it. I select this exchange rate type in the report, but it is an empty table.
If I use the same user name/ password to  log on the SAPGUI, I am able to see lots of data.
Does anyone know what are the appropriate configuration steps to make the tables/views in the SAP system visible in the crystal reports? Could you please give me the details? Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Vicky

    Hi,
are you trying to report on top of a BW query (mentioned in step 1 and 2) or you trying to create a report on top of tables (mentioned further down).
