SAP 8.81 client starting problem

Dear All,
When i start SAP B1 8.81 client with a particular company on the SAP B! 8.81 server.
after giving the user name and password it automatically get closed.
with the following error
" you cannot open window[680] confirmation of recurring postings with your current license."
Also a dialog box displays " Application has a problem.- a diagnostic file is been created. Please contact support and attach diagnostic file."
And get closed.
If we tried to open the same database with a different client with sap B1 8.81 it is working fine.

Hi All,
Today at my customer we have installed SBO 2007A at first with sp 42 and after we have upgraded it with patch 46.
The server works, nothing problem. The client on the server works fine.
After we tried to install clients, we installed them successfully, and when I tried to log in, the client find the databases, I chose one database, and after it nothing happened. It started to make something ( I dont know what), but we have a white screen ( not responding), and that"s all. We have seen the task manager, there weren't any CPU performance or anything.
We were waiting for a half an hour, but there weren't any error message.
Could you tell me what can be the problem?
We were administrators in the network.

Check the following.
Make sure, the Client PC is able to ping to the Server.
SQL Native Client is installed on the Client systems.
Make sure on your Current Server area the name of your Server appears.
Make sure your Server does not have multiple Network Card. If so disable one of them. If you are connecting from a laptop either use Wireless / Wired LAN connection. If you are wired disable wireless as this causes a conflict in identifying the license server.
Try restarting the license server
Click on Change Server and try to connect using your sa password

Hi,
The issue here is that the JAVA engine has not ye started completely. Check the status of the SAP instance in SAP MMC. You need to have the SDM, dipatcher, Server0 in green(started completely). If the server0 is in yellow/grey, then u will not be able to launch the portal URL.
Check and post us the dev_server0 log for more information.

SAP B1 client system problem

When we running SAP B1 in client system then it takes 4 - 5 mins to open the windows.This problem occurs in every SAP B1 client system. After opening the windows, it works fine and shows no errors.SAP B1 version is 8.8 and PL is 18.

Prep for SAP 2007 - Some SQL to Get the Clients Started
(NOTE: Marilyn Pratt suggested I post this here since it is so general. If there is a better place, please let me know and I can move/post it there).
I have just started working with a customer doing international business; pre-payments and block payments are 90% of their business. They have not reconciled items for almost three years in SAP B1. In my discussions with them about SAP 2007, they wanted to be a bit more proactive in dealing with reconciliations before SAP 2007 arrived. In order to get them moving quickly, I wrote the following versions of SQL which identifies business partners with a zero account balance and open documents/journal entries (what easier way is there to start?). If you find yourself in a similar situation, you might want to utilize this SQL to gently guide your customers into looking at unreconciled/unmatched situations. The SQL is simple, but direct. It might be written a lot better, but the whole purpose was to get the customer to START doing something. Two side benefits; one, the results of the SQL provide 100% success in what they are doing and they gain some confidence in a new process, and two, the customer can run this on a daily basis to keep things clean. Once they are done with this easy-to-do phase, I will put something together that might help with those items needing more research.
Might have made a mistake while re-typing the SQL for this post, so check them out and leave a note if I typed something wrong, OK? Its not much, but hope these help those who might be in a similar situation!

What is the native vlan you are using ? If it is vlan number 2, then there is known bug CSCui73764
Symptom:
Flex mode APs 1130 & 1240 series, will not pass traffic, e.g. DHCP, ARP. on some wlans.
Conditions:
1) Flex connect local switching
2) AP 1240 or 1130
3) any version before 7.4.121.7
4) native vlan x, non working vlan y.
5) user unable to get ip address.
Workaround:
change the native vlan to an unexpectedly high number, so no wlan will ever get mapped to a bridge group number that high.
Further Problem Description:
telnet to the flex ap. here is an example. vlan 3 is the native vlan on the flex ap, it is correctly mapped to bridge group 1. now the wlan which will not work is the one, which is mapped to vlan2. see carefully below, the vlan 2 is mapped to bridge group 3. this is the instance where we hit the bug. so it can be any wlan-vlan-native vlan combination.

How to create a sales order having incomplete non-sap data as input start

We have facing the following problem in our company. We have a non-SAP system where we pull data from. We built a webservice that enables a user to pull data from the non-sap sustem by entering a key value (e.g. project number). Pulling the non-sap data is not a problem. However, once the user have pulled the data via the webservice, this data (e.g. material number, qty and sales unit) needs to be transfered to the va01 screen directly. The user will have to complete the missing master data like sold to party, ship to party, customer PO number etc. Then by hitting enter standard SAP will run and if everything is OK, the user has to save the order and a sales order number will be created. We know there a lot of techniques that can be used like Idoc, BAPI, XML, RFC. We have XI, Adobe and Portal available. Does somebody have an idea for a solid solution to get this to work?

You want to Create Sales Order thru VA01 after puling the data from NonSAP system. Moreover you want that the Incomplete Sales Order will be saved.
if thats the requirement - I ll suggest
While doing VA01 - start from Create with reference Sales order. in that case default Sales Orders will be automatically created and using the BDC you can change the items or Customers you want to change. Once the Order number is created properly - u r free to change eveything of that Order.
Otherwise calling BAPI / RFC for creating the sales orders is the most safest way of achieving it. But again if you dont have the complete data - calling RFC or BAPI does not make much sense. because they will fail to create the Sales Order in case u dont fill up the mandatory fields.

Crystal Report menu-item not visible on SAP menu of client

1. Installed CR 2008 on server and it runs fine both from Start menu and from within SAP menu. SAP also shows Crystal Reports menu item and Crystal Admin.
2. Installed Crystal Report on one of the clients and it works fine in same way.
3. On 2nd client, SAP Crystal Runtime installed as follows: SAPCrystalSetup.exe run first, then DotNetFramework3.5 run - it resulted in "Setup error". Then run the CRRuntime_12_0_mlb.exe without errors. Then installed CR designer, On this client, Crystal Reports 2008 opens fine from Start menu. However from within SAP, it does not show Crystal Reports Admin nor the Crystal Reports menu-item.
a) This user has "automatic" start of Crystal Reports 2.0.0.6 in Add-on Administration.
b) However, in Add-on Manager, Crystal Report does not show at all.
c) In Add-Remove programs, I see that Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5 SP1 exists on the client.
d) OS is Microsoft XP.
How could I see Crystal Administration or 'Crystal Reports' menu-item from within SAP on this client?

Company Preferences for Crystal Reports for SAP Business One / Version 2.0.0.6/ Default Group Automatic/ Active Yes
User Preferences Tab-User RT-Preference is set to Default.
On server, 'Installed Add-ons' tab shows Crystal Status as 'Connected'
However, on the client, Add-on manager, both "Installed Add-ons" as well as "Pending Add-ons" tabs do not show Crystal Reports row at all.
3) The user RT on the client is a super-user.

Installation of SAP Business One client and required administration rights

Dear community,
I would like to kindly ask you for your feedback on the installation of SAP Business One client and its patches on end-user computers.
The pain points I have heard so far are the following:
- The installation of SAP Business One client and its patches has to be started by a user with administrator rights. As far as I know (and please correct me if I am wrong), this is also required in case of installation of any other software.
- End users usually do not have administrator rights and therefore the SAP Business One clients have to be manually upgraded by administrator. This is time consuming (and therefore costly) activity.
We are considering to design a new solution which would overcome the above limitations.
I would like to confirm with you if my understanding is correct:
Question 1:
Is it a common situation that the end-users of SAP Business One client do not have administrator rights and therefore cannot install the patches of SAP Business One client by themselves?
If yes, how do you resolve this currently?
Question 2:
Do you use Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager or Active Directory (or any other 3rd party solution) to automatically distribute software packages and updates to client PCs at your customers?
Question 3:
If the SAP Business One client installation (and its patches) is delivered as MSI package with silent installation capability, would you be able to automate the deployment of B1 client updates to client PC using the abovementioned technologies? Or can you still see some obstacles?

@Marco - SAP Business One 8.8 client currently does not support the silent installation / upgrade. However we are currently considering this requirement and we would like to deliver it as soon as possible.
We are currently considering several possible designs. One of them is as follows:
1. A new SAP Business One Updater Service will be installed on each client workstation.
It will be a windows service installed and running under a local system account.
2. The updater service will check regularly if there are any new patches of SAP Business One client or add-ons uploaded to a configured shared directory.
3. If a new patch is found in the shared directory, the updater service will SILENTLY install the new patch (add-ons, SAP Business One) on the client workstation.
The service would be able to install patches even if nobody is logged in.
Questions:
If we consider the above design, there are a few open topics:
1. During the upgrade of the SAP Business One server, the client patches (and SAP add-on patches, partner add-ons) would be placed to a SHARED directory instead of into SBO-Common (as it is implemented currently).
- Does this have any impact on your tools, processes or add-ons?
2. SAP Business One upgrade wizard will put the latest patch of SAP Business One client into a configured shared directory. The shared directory will have to be read-only for everybody in the network to avoid that the valid installation files are replaced by malware or virus infected files
- Can you configure such a shared directory?
From customer perspective, if a new patch is put into the shared directory, the updater service can behave as follows:
1. Manually initiated upgrade of the client
Example: Customer starts the old (not upgraded) SAP Business One client. The client will inform him/her that a new patch has been found and it has to be installed in order to continue working with the client. After customer clicks "Yes", the upgrader service starts the silent installation of the client and informs customer about the progress. Once the upgrade is finished, the upgraded SAP Business One client will be started automatically.
2. Automatic update:
- Update the client automatically (e.g. overnight) if customer is not working with SAP Business One
- If SAP Business One client is running, ask customer if he/she wishes to upgrade the client now or to delay the upgrade by X minutes.
Question: Which of the above two scenarios would you and your customers prefer?
If the upgrade is fully silent, automated and handled by the upgrader service, Is it acceptable for customers to trigger the installation manually and wait till the client is upgraded? Or would they prefer to have the client updated for them e.g. overnight so they can immediately start to work?

Local client Copy problem using sccl in ECC 6.0- Long time

My system ecc6.0 and I am started the client copy form 000 client to 100 client
Now 25 passed but still the copy process not completed .
I am create the client 100 in 000
Then logged into 100
Then start the client copy usuing sccl in background
I am not run the test run

SAP CRM multiple clients possible

We have a NetWeaver SAP CRM system (ABAP + JAVA) stack.
We run an internet webshop application on the JAVA stack connected to CRM ABAP stack, client 010. The CRM ABAP stack connects to SAP ERP.
Q1: Is it possible to add a new client 020 in the ABAP stack of the CRM system?
Q2: I don't understand in CRM the connection between the JAVA and ABAP stack. If I add a new ABAP client 020, do I need to copy the JAVA stack/client also?
Who can help me guiding in which direction I have to go?
Note: We want to connect a non-SAP system to client 020.

ERP ABAP (client 010) --> CRM ABAP (client 010) --> CRM JAVA stack

Enterprise Portal SAP Resources are not starting on Box2...

We implemented EP HA project using Two server boxes(2 server nodes). we are using first server box for SAP resources and second server box for Oracle DataBase resources. If i try to take SAP resources online on Box2 then SAP is failing to start over there.
I observed on Box2 using SAP MMC that always CI resources are trying to start before SCS starts over there that causes i am getting the following errors on default trace files, like some times CI Resources are not able to attach Message Server Port(3901) and some times CI resources failed to connect Enqueue Server Port(3201).

All the times we observed on Box2 that CI resources are trying to start before SCS resources starts.
There is no problem for SAP resources on Box1. Intitally We installed SAP on Box1 and did the configurations on Veritas Cluster Application for achieving switch over or High Avaliablity environment.
Please kindly suggest the solution.

It appears the port 8888 is already in use by another app or the bus is already running. try to identofy the app that is using the 8888 port or just change it to a different port, ensure that you have followed the installation guide and configure all the ftp settings and have added a local HM

CRS on Redhat 5 auto-start problem

Dear all
Recently I tried to install Oracle 10gR2 on Redhat 5. I did research and took all the necessary actions to install it on Redhat. Everything went well, according to the documents and at the end of the installation, all the resources were up and running. However, after the install, only the VIP was up and ONS and GSD was in unknown format. When I stop the nodeapps and start it again, everything stars working. It seems that the problem is something to do with boot process. I tried to put some delay ( for OCR mount ) but still no luck. This is the result from crsd.log from node1 when node2 is down.. :

CRS on RHEL 5.5 auto-start problem

Recently I install RAC Oracle 10gR2 on Red hat RHEL 5.5. “Two node cluster, iscsi storage, ocfs2 mounted files & ASM ”
I did research and took all the necessary actions to install it on Red hat. Everything went well, according to the documents and at the end of the installation, all the resources were up and running. However, after the install, only the VIP was up and ONS and GSD ,ASM and the other services was in unknown state. When I stop the CRS & start it –all again, everything stars working. Please friends I need to fix this problem because the cluster services and the client workstation are stopping when the servicers is relocated to node 1 after the server reboot because the CRS did not worked still on node and manual starting is taking time.

I have checked the information provided. crsd is reporting timeouts when running the checking actions. The racgmain process on the other hand, executed by racgwrap, remain running so the number is increasing.This issue has been reported in Bug 7009245 ""RACGMAIN CHECK" PROCESS NOT TERMINATING", and drill down and determine the root cause this require to get a stack trace from racgmain process(es) as well as you should runOSWatcher with a specific parameters, finally the issue of Bug 7009245 has been fixed by the fix of Bug 6196746 (unpublished bug -- summary is "racgwrap spawns racgmain child process. crsd timeout kills racgwrap but bot racgmain")So please perform the following action plan that intend to solve the issue.

1. Stop CRS on this node.
2. Make a copy of racgwrap located under $ORACLE_HOME/bin and $CRS_HOME/bin
3. Edit the file racgwrap and modify the last 3 lines from:
