(1)How to work out all SAP user accounts' login times in a month?
(2)How to work out the SAP peak concurrent users?

Hi,
Execute the Transaction SE16 then give the table name as usr02 and select execute. In the next screen give date range. Using this you can find the requested information.
You can also use audit transaction sm20/19 and use the programs CCUINIT and CCUEVAL. Report CCUINIT initialises the measurement of current users and report CCUEVAL will provide the report and the logs for you.
You can use the se38 to execute the program.

How to automate the alias between Windows AD and SAP accounts

I have authentication working where I can logon via SSO with Windows AD authentication and still get to SAP BW via SAP SNC. In getting this to work I had to manually create an alias between the Windows AD account and th SAP Account. We will have thousands of users in our Business Objects environment with users coming and going each day. I have not found a way to automate the creation of the alias. There must be some way to do this, since this seems like it would be a common need for customers that want to access both SAP and non SAP resources in Business Objects. Has anyone found a way to automate the creation of the aliases? Our user ids are the same in Windows AD and SAP, so it doesn't seem like this should be that difficult, but I can't figure this out.

Thanks for the response. That was helpful. I had seen something similar is SAP Note 1269228, but that note did not mention the registry key setting. These seems like a fairly common request. Is built in support for this planned in XI 3.2 or XI 4? The reason I ask about the feature being included in future releases, is because we may hold off on taking the time to develop a script if this is soon to be part of the software.
Also, if anyone has already created a script to do this, I would be inteterested in knowing how you scripted this. How do you handle adds/removes of either SAP Authentication or Windows AD Authentication for a user? How do you handle adds or deletes of whole users?

you are not mentioning what kind of authentication (WPA-Enterprise, WPA-PSK,..) are you using for your wifi network. That could be related to RADIUS accounting feature (in case of WPA-Enterprise with RADIUS accounting enabled/checked) but I am not sure.
But nevertheless of that I hope this is just information that:
Some client wanted to authenticate to your network, but it fails. This resulted to explicit deauthentication of that client by your WAP (regardless of fact if client was really authenticated or not at beginning). Forced deauthentication makes sense for example in case, that client was successfully connected to your Wifi, but it fails to reauthenticate (yes, every client is challenged to reauthenticate regularly after defined period of time) for some reason - in this case forced deauthentication ensures that user will get kicked off from your Wifi network. That's my explanation of second Log line.
First line is just triggered action resulted "deauthentication" process - i.e. gather accounting statistics of that client. But in your case it fails, because that client was never really connected to your Wifi network and thus there are no records in statistics table for him.

Missing account statistics

There seems to be no place to see account and usage statistics.
I cannot find any option to see my account statistics like it used to be in the previous version, such as the number of posts made. I support the decision, if there was, to hide such information from the public view, so people connot make any conclusions about number of posts and achieved points, but I would like to see it in my own profile view.
I'm also missing the possiblity to currently tell other people's ratio of questions asked and questions answered, which was also a feature in the previous forum. I find this information useful since I sometimes want to determine whether or not it was the worth the effort to continue to help someone.

Not sure about this one - we are going to be getting much deeper stats and analytical tools than we've ever had before in the next few months, and much of this should become available then. I'll find out if the effort is worth trying to get it going in the next month or two or if it makes more sense to wait.

Xsodata service redirecting to sap account page.

whenever i m trying to access .xsodata service, its redirecting to sap account page.
instead of this is it possible to take username and password from popup, and then it will display data directly.
i don't want to redirect to sap account page again n again.
and yes i don't want to remove the authentication part from odata service.

Yes we are running the UI5 application and HANA from the same system,
When we try to get the odata services with basic auth , it is redirecting to the sap login page (HTML) even if we are logged in a different tab to the scn account
we are calling like this

How to delete SAP* account in Oracle

I need to delete the SAP* user account to gain access to a client because someone locked out all of the accounts. I know this can be done through interactive SQL but cannot remember which tables you have to hit. If someone could let me know that would be appreciated.

Log on to the database with userid ora<sid> and execute the following SQL.
delete from sap<SID>.usr02 where bname='sap*' and mandt='XXX';

How to find out who provocates locking of SAP account?

Hi,
we have the problem that someone obviously tries to annoy one of our SAP users
by provocating the locking of the SAP users account due to too many attempts to
log on with the wrong and unknown password. That's pretty aggravating for us so
that we are looking for a possibility to find out WHO (IP-address?) is
bantering the SAP user! Is it possible to find that out? Syslog (SM21) doesn't
show anything!

1. Due to system audit that demand to set some special rules of password just for administrators in SAP system.
for example, we need set password's expiration, length, complexity and so on.
I know we could set parameters like ’login/passwd_expiration_tim’ ‘login/min_password_d’
‘login/min_password_letters’ and so on, but these parameters will set for all the users in SAP.
Now we must set some special rules just for some 'Administrators' as the audit demand,

login parameters are system wide, only system users are exempt. Seems like your auditor have no idea of how a SAP system works. You cannot set special rules for Administrators... I cannot find one single reason to have different rules for Admins.

You don't need to achieve that... system and communication users are by definition not interactive users (you cannot logon to the system with them).

Auto Script which creates SAP Account when AD gets created.

Hello Experts - Requirement is "Create SAP User account automatically when AD account gets created", can I acheive this through ECATT scripts?
If this is possible, idea is to create an ECATT script and schedule it to run every night to find all new users on AD and create their account on SAP and lock their accounts.
Do you think this can be acheived thru ECATT's?
If not ECATT, is there any way out to acheive my objective. We are planning to reduce overhead for SAP User admins, I was thinking on following steps:
1) New User request for AD
2) After approval create AD account
3) Design a scrip, which will look for all new users on AD and will create & lock them on SAP (Nightly Job or something)

I have a customer with 16 million users in SU01. They don't use IdM and don't need it either at the moment.
I have another customer with 700 users and they are implementing IdM because it makes sense. They need it to reduce complexity.
There are no IdM license costs, unless you provision non-SAP systems.
You can skip GRC by using a well designed concept for report RSUSR008_009_NEW if it meets your requirements - particularly the number of systems. It does however have it's limits (per ABAP client) and is not user friendly at first. Also no nice pie-charts for managers, etc.
Emergency User Access comes in many shapes and sizes... SAP declined a development suggestion from me to improve the "FireFighter" tool so I developed it on my own for my customers using BAPIs and they are happy. The main requiremenent not fullfilled is that the user context changes so that you loose access to HR data, queries, variants, workflow items, purchase orders, etc. The FireFighter users also become obvious targets of attacks and the application users (dialog) need authority to change the FireFighter's passwords to use the application - which means that they can use RFC to do the same without using the FireFighter transactions / logs / etc.
Regarding other IdMs, I have experience with some, but documented here on SDN is only the password syncronization problems which Novell suffers from. These "problems" are intentional - or better said --> their own fault for using "hacks"...
If you search for "Novell" you will find them.

How to determine SAP GL ACCOUNT #

I need to determine the SAP account number by using the company code and either the SAP Vendor # OR the SAP Customer #
What Tables do I need to look into to achieve this?

Please note that Customer and Vendor ledger are linked to General Ledger through Reconciliation account. This reconciliation account is part of General Ledger.
You can use table KNB1- For customer and LFB1- For Vendor master. SAP stores the Reconciliation GL account in the field "AKONT" for above two tables.( Inofrmation is kept at company code level)

Hi Matt,
the needed role is shipped with design time installation set:
Upload the role to ABAP, create technical user and assign the role to the user and you're good to go.
If they're SAP-authorization people who ask the questions they'll know what's in the file.
