SAP administrator and monitoring tools

Hello,
I'm student at the university of montreal and i am for the moment in internship in a media enterprise as a consultant. They Use SAP business one for the management. I've somme difficulties at the moment to manage it as i would like. Is there some monitoring tools to help me administrate the SAP system like analyse the database and edit faster and easier my acces list and avoid repetitive action ( automatization) for exemple.

Hi,
go to your Report Server and check if there is an MBAM Folder. Within that Folder you can check the DataSource and verify the target db and Connection Details.

Problem by opening Data Orchestration Admin and Monitoring Tool

Using SAP NetWeaver Mobile (7.1) only
You can access the SAP NetWeaver Mobile Administrator through the DOE. To do this, you must log on to the DOE and choose Data Orchestration Engine ® Data Orchestration Admin and Monitoring Portal.
When the Browser opened, i dont get any information, there comes "The page cannot be displayed"
But under DOE SETUP AND REPAIR i have installed all packages.
I have installed the SAP Netweaver AS ABAP 7.1 newly, so is there a step which i forget?

I'm trying to use apis that are listed in this new AAM module in SP17 and I cannot find this directory in my xi system - <serverDir>/j2ee/cluster/server0/bin/services
directories in this path are com.sap.aii.af.service.administration.api
API is partitioned into sub packages
com.sap.aii.af.service.administration.api.cpa
com.sap.aii.af.service.administration.api.monitoring
com.sap.aii.af.service.administration.api.i18n
For additional info - please check 766332 which tells that there are new APIs for adapter monitoring.
Can one of you on SP17 please check and tell me if you see these paths and files?

What is KPI in SAP BI and what tool do you use to design it?

I am a currently in project that demands the design of a KPI in SAP BI.
I need some help in understanding the concept of KPI and how you design it (Using Which TOOLS? For example BEx analyzer).
And I also want to know if KPI is a form of reporting.

BEx reporting, process chains and web reporting are all made up for KPI reporting only.
Lets take an example of some KPI Sales / Employee.
BEx Reporting - you need to make a report to show this either you can do the calculation Sales / Employee or you can go in BEx reporting for the same. Business Explorer (BEx) is to make the reports.
Process Chains - These are scheduled steps which helps us to load the data in the targets on the defined frequency. You can relate your KPI with this also, at what frequency your KPI's would be updated. Twice in a day, you get your updated KPI figures or daily or weekly depending on your process chain. Process chains are just to load your data only.
Web Reporting - This is main part for KPI's because through Web reporting only larger audience / users would be getting the values for KPIs. Everybody wont be having access to Cubes or BEx, they get the reports through web reporting only.

I have an app that logs the execution time of all DataWindow retrieves in a table. I can then run a report that tells me which ones are slow. The base DataWindow object captures the start time in the retrievestart event and the retrieveend event inserts a row into a table with the DataWindow name datetime and elapsed time. I use the QueryPerformanceCounter Win API function to get sub-second timing.
Something like this:

Could anyone offer any advice on Oracle database management tools ?
looking for a 3rd party tool that would provide graphical representation on health and activity within Oracle databases.

that kind of thing etc.Since you want to pay extra for this capability, look at the Diagnostics Pack add-on for Enterprise Manager. It does what you ask. And makes it available both on Database Control and Grid Control view.
And both Database Control and Grid Control are included in your SE/EE license.

SQL Anywhere Monitoring Tool

Hi, what is the difference between "Monitoring Tool (Development and testing)"
and "Monitoring Tool (Deployment)"? I cannot find it enywhere.

The SQL Anywhere Monitor is a stand-alone product that is separately licensed from SQL Anywhere. The version included with SQL Anywhere is the Development version, which is intended for you to try out the product and see if it useful for your purposes.

If you do find that the utility is useful, you should purchase a full license for your production deployments.

SAP XI and Business Process Modelling and Monitoring

hi All,
Could anybody tell me whether SAP XI has any Business Process Modelling tools or any Process Monitoring tools?
If any, are these analogous to IBM WBIs Modeller and Monitor? Also does SAP XI provide any human interaction?

In the XI-Repository you can build Business Procces with the Process Builder.
for Monitoring you can use the Workflow Monitoring on XI.

Check google with "businessobjects enterprise monitoring" and you will find a lot of other vendors. maybe you find yours.
