    Hi
In a test system of a XI (NW 2004s)  the components sap.com/com.sap.aii* and sap.com/com.sap.xi* are not displayed in Cluster -> Services -> Deploy -> Application therefore ExchangeProfile and Repository (rep/start/index.jsp) don't work.
This components are installed in development system, don't know if was installed manually.
The question is if this components can be downloaded and installed (deployed), or installed same files of development system, unfortunately the sda's are not in the server but i have the dvd's.

  • Tuxedo calls procedure and Application Level Service Failure

    hello ,professors all!
My Tuxedo Service just call an procedure exists in oracle9i, i am sure that the procedure runs ok in oracle9i individually, when it was called by my tuxedo service , it is not ok by first time ,and runs out tp application level Service failure error .But strangely it is ok by second time!
who can explan it to me and show me a way to solve the difficult problem?
i spend a lot time wondering the answer!
    Edited by: user9086437 on 2010-9-29 下午9:57

There are many possible reasons why a database procedure might fail the first time it is executed and succeed after that.
You should check the Tuxedo ULOG and Oracle database logs for any messages that may point to the problem.
If there is a LIBTUX_CAT:6205 or LIBTUX_CAT:6206 message in the userlog file then you need to add a tx_open() call to your server's tpsvrinit() or tpsvrthrinit() function.
If there is an OPENINFO string for the group where your server is running then you are using XA transaction management and should not be connecting to the database in your application code; if there is not an OPENINFO string for the group where your server is running then you need to connect to the database in your application.
If you set the environment variable
    TMTRACE=*:ulog:dye
for the server where the failure is happening then Tuxedo will write a trace record of each Tuxedo call and each XA call to the ULOG file. This can be helpful in determining why the failure is happening on the first call, especially if Tuxedo is handling transaction management using XA.
I hope some of this is of help in debugging the problem.

  • Add application and document level events using javascript

    Hi All,
I need to do some validation in the preprint event of the pdf document. There are samples available using the UI and adding the script in the script dialog, but my requirement is that i need to map the 'preprint' event and event handler to the pdf document using pure javascript code without the UI. Any help would be greatly helpful. Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Charan

You can write a document-level function into the actions handlers using the doc.setAction() method from a folder-level script, but one folder-level script cannot create another.
Suppose you have a folder-level function triggered by a menu item, and it has collected a reference to the active document as oDoc:
    var myScript = 'console.println("I am about to be printed and I have " + this.numPages + " pages" );';
    oDoc.setAction("WillPrint",myScript);

  • Discovery of SAP Systems and Applications

I want to discover all the SAP systems present in my organization (System Landscape). Also, I want to get the information about the applications installed in them, for instance CRM, SRM etc. I believe I can use CCMS to do this which has this information in it's central repository but then all the remote repositories have to register themselves initially. What if one or more of them have not registered?? I somehow want to get the fool-proof information regarding all the systems whether they are registered or not. Any ideas or suggestions regarding this please??? Thanks in advance!!

first you need to activate and start you sld to do this select any of your system login to sld http://host name:50xx00/sld where xx is your instance number
from the abap side you need to sldapicust and set the logon
credentials for you abap system to SLD and then got to RZ70 and execute it(this whill schedule a job in the BTC) after this got o sldcheck and see if this is working fine
form the java side logon to visual admin go to server then services select sld data supplier and enter the logon information in HTTP tab and select test/trigger buttton on the top
there are lot of tutorials in this website on how to configure SLD in this website
you will also get a step by step document on setting up SLD at http://host name:50xx0/sld/doc/sld.pdf

  • Groups of users and application level access

    Hello,
just to be sure that I got it right.
If I have a single workspace and I want to have two distinct applications, where the users of one application do not access the other one and vice versa, should I manage the access on a page by page basis, using two different authorization schemes made up of PL/SQL functions checking user's group membership?
I believe there is no way to specify an authorization scheme for a whole application, isn't it?
    Thanks,
    Flavio

    Scott,
if I am not wrong, the checks you suggest to include require an authorization scheme applied once per page view.
I wrote the following function as authorization logic:
if :APP_USER is not null and
    upper(:APP_USER) not in ('NOBODY','PUBLIC_USER','HTMLDB_PUBLIC_USER')
    then
    return nvl(htmldb_util.current_user_in_group('PROMO'),false);
    else
    return true;
    end if;
This works fine only if I specifiy "once per page view" in the "validate" property.
If I choose "once per session", any authenticated user can enter the application, no matter what the user group is.
Given this scenario, do you think it is still possible in some way to use the authorization scheme on a per-session basis?
    Bye,
    Flavio

  • Co-existence of OS-level and application level cluster

hiI will be buying pre-configured Linux cluster from Compaq which uses SteelEye's Lifekeeper techology. This cluster is required for File systems, applications and processes. Now i need to make a cluster of Weblogic application Server on top of it,which is forEJB clustering. Will it be possible for Weblogic cluster to work on top of Steeleye's LifeKeeper clustering technology.can they co-exist?regardssanjay

    Hi,
They can't co-exist on the same machine. The older version is uninstalled and the new installed.
You could try unistalling CR and then check registry and remove entries: search on "Business Objects", then reinstall CR 11.5.
You existing apps should now work.
    Hope this helps

  • RFID - SAP AII

    Hi all,
Need some infomation on SAP AII and also how to relate RFID with SAP AII and also SAP Data base,
How the data will be filtered in SAP AII?
If anyone knows regarding this let me know
    Thanks,
    -Teena.

    Hi Teena,
    <b>SAP RFID Solution Package</b>
The SAP RFID solution package provides a complete auto-ID middleware solution connecting RFID data directly from auto-ID data capture sources, such as RFID readers and device controllers, and integrates the data directly into enterprise applications . It converts raw RFID data into business process information by making the associations from key business rules, master data, and transactions to raw RFID data .
    <b>SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure</b>
Auto-ID Infrastructure is compatible with SAP R/3 4.6C or greater, and it also has adapters for SAP Warehouse Management, SAP Business Information Warehouse, SAP Supply Chain Event Management, SAP Advanced Planning and Optimization, and all SAP NetWeaver components.
Auto-ID Infrastructure is designed to synchronize EPC and RFID information into your ERP systems by providing a complete, multidimensional data model of RFID-enabled assets, including:
    <b>1.EPC number
    2.Asset location
    3.Status
    4.Last RFID read point
    5.Handling unit number
6.Packing hierarchy association (such as item, item-to-case, or case-to-pallet)</b>
It then maps this data to your SAP R/3 system via association to handling units (HUs). Handling unit headers include a standards-based HU number, weight, volume, and dimensions. HU content includes material number, quantity, unit of measure, batch number, plant number and location, and stock category (such as consignment), as well as serial number and inspection lot data.
These HUs are then associated with EPC numbers and are integrated into the appropriate transaction for processes such as production orders, transfer orders, sales orders, delivery (ASNs) and receipt, shipment, picking and packing, and inventory move and packing operations.
Because it is built on SAP Web Application Server, Auto-ID Infrastructure supports multiple communication interfaces (HTTP, SOAP, WSDL, SOCKET/ TCPIP), as well as mobile interfaces to PocketPC 2003 and Mobile Linux (Sharp).
<b>It runs on Windows (XP, 2000, NT), Unix, and Linux, and supports Oracle, SAP DB, DB2, and Microsoft SQL Server.</b>This should answer your query.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Pawan P.Khilari

  • How to define a application level (or page 0) plsql validation

I have a selection region on page 0, which I use on a lot of pages. I want to define plsql validation for the items in that region.
I have already a database package with the validation code.
Now I want to define each validation only once and not on each page.
    How can I do this.

Funny thing happened to me on the way to creating my scenario on the apex.oracle.com site. I actually got it to work there. Once I attempted to simplify my scenario to reproduce it on apex.oracle.com, I figured out a simple step (hack?) that I was missing. I put that back into my site and it's working there now as well.
If it's useful for others who attempt to do something like this, I needed to create a page-level process which doesn't really do anything except have a "NOT NULL" condition of the APP_ERROR_MSG application-level item and then use the "&APP_ERROR_MSG." syntax in the "Success Message" of that process. In essence, I'm telling the process to display the error as a success message when the APP_ERROR_MSG item is not null.
I feel this is a hack because I would prefer to have this error message processing at the application level rather than at the page level. I was forced to put this process at the page level rather than at the application level because (as of ApEx 2.2) application-level processes do not have a "Success Message" option, only an "Error Message" option, while page-level process have both.
Maybe my "fix" is truly a hack and I would love to hear that in order to get a better solution, that is more generic and application-level based. My sample app is at http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=32483:1 with the username of "devguest" and the same as the password.
I look forward to hearing some thoughts.

  • Middleware - SAP AII

    Hi RFID Friends,
i found many informations about SAP AII and RFID Tech. in this , but nothing to a Middleware, witch is essentail for comm. between RFID hardware and SAP. help.sap.com is like a cloesed book in this case. I read about BizTalk or Websphere, XI... but all those are to much for an Small Business case. it's unclear for me:
    1. What SAP AII need to get DATA from an Reader. What is the simply and cheap way?
    2. Because AII is an standalone System, is XI neccecery to get this Information from AII into SAP ERP?
    Can you help me please.
    Thank you all
    Bülent

    Hi Bullent,
You were correct in not finding out any information on RFID Middleware on help.sap.com.
This is because SAP is not involved in that business at all. Instead SAP depends upon its partners to deliver RFID middleware solutions. For eg, Biztalk from Microsoft, IBM middleware and PIXIE from Infosys technologies Ltd are such examples. SAP AII exposes an interface which the middleware development team has to comply with. Then there is also a SAP Certification process for Device middlewares that support communication with SAP AII.
SAP similarly also depends upon its partners for RFID hardware also. For. Zebra, Motorola are some of the RFID hardware that are compliant with SAP AII for mobile devices.
    Answer to your questions:
    1) SAP AII can get whatever data is written on the tags. It depends on your business requirement what data is needed by you on the tags. There is no simple or cheap way. There are two ways.
    a) Fixed Readers: Require RFID middleware between hardware and SAP AII
    b) Mobile Readers: Can be directly supported by SAP AII witout device middleware. (So this can be cheaper )
    2) Yes SAP XI is necessary to send data to SAP ERP. Else it will require huge custom abap development to support this.
I hope i have answered your questions. Thnks

  • How to modify SAP AII XML So that i can able to work with AII DC -2.1 & 4.0

I am new to SAP. I am doing integration work between SAP AII and Sun Java RFID Middleware. Currently Sun RFID 3.0 version supports SAP AII DC 2.1, but I am using SAP AII DC 4.0.
When the Tag commissioning was performed, I am getting an error like "Unexpected element: ConfigureTagFilter".
I need to know following things,
    1) Can I remove ConfigureTagFilter tag from AII XML? If possible How to do it?
    2) Is there any Compatibility mode option in SAP RFC or AII settings available, so that I can able to switch between AII DC 2.1 & AII DC 4.0 XML formats.
Please let me know how to do this in SAP AII.
    Thanks in Advance.

    hi,
you can change the XSLT mapping in AII
I did it for some other tools (intermec reader) that work with AII 2.1
and now they work for AII 4.0
