SAP APO SNP - Restricting Selections

Hello All,
Is there any way by which I can restrict the users to access shuffler (create & save selection) for one planning book and allow access of shuffler in other planning book, although both the planning books belong to same planning area.
When I try to restrict planner to access shuffler I only find function C_SELCTION, but using this the user is restricted on Planning Area level. So the planner is restricted for both planning books of the planning area.
Please let me know if the above case is possible to implement.
Regards,
Piyush Nandan.

Hello,
Thanks for the reply.
I checked the auth obj C_APO_SEL, but it is not helpful. It doesn't resrtict the access to shuffler.
I want to restrict shuffler access in one planning book and provide access in other planning book, both planning books are of same planning area.
Is there any BADI by which we can remove the shuffler icon from the planning book.
For example there are two planning books PB1 & PB2 belonging to same planning area PA1. Now can I remove shuffler Icon from PB1 and keep shuffler icon in PB2.
Regards,
Piyush Nandan.

  • How we can define User Constraints in SAP APO SNP?

    Hi
How we can  define flexible User Constraints in SAP APO SNP ? Meaning standard constraints can be configured in SAP APO SNP but how we can configured real time  customer constraints?
    Thanks
    Poorna

    Hi,
You can use CIF user exit CIFMAT01 for this purpose. You can follow below path in SAP for more details
SPRO---SAP refrenceIMG----Integration with other SAP components---Advanced Planning and Optimization---Application specific settingsand enhancements---Enhancement for materials---Influence data before transfer to APO on user specific basis.
YOu can read help in above path about exit.
YOu need ABAP person who need to code this. What you need is read custom field from table from MARC  and Populate in procurement cose field in this exit.

  • How we can define storage capacity constraint for SAP APO SNP(trading company)

    Hi
can any one advise how we can define storage capacity constraint in SAP APO SNP.Typically businesss scenario its a trading company  sources from different sources and deliver to the distribution centres, its typically sourcing optimization using SNP optimizer. How we can define capacity constraint for a source?

  • How we define Supplier constraints in SAP APO SNP?

    Hi
Customer is trading company and SNP optimizer is configured  for sourcing optimization,Following are queries
How we can define Supplier constraints? Supplier constraints meaning Supplier is capable of supplying 5000MT  how we model this and Minimum purchase need to happen from certain suppliers of quantity 2000MT,basically Quantity constraints need to be built in SAP APO SNP.
    expecting some valuable inputs
    Thanks
    Poorna

    Hi Poorna,
Please follow below steps to delete Product-Location combinations in APO:
    1. In ECC, deactivate Integration model for Transaction data and master data of the Products and locations to be deleted from APO.
    2. Check where used list from transaction WUF and delete dependent transaction data and Master data from APO. You may use /sapapo/rlcdelete and /sapapo/sdorder_del.
Also delete dependent Master data objects like CVC, PPM, Transportation lane, PDS etc. from APO
Ensure deletion of transaction data in all existing versions in the 000 Model.
    3. Set the deletion flag for Product / Product-Location combination using transaction /sapapo/mat1
    4. Once the transaction data & related master data is deleted and deletion flag is set, it is possible to delete the location-products by running the report /sapapo/delete_products
    To delete Locations from APO:
Follow same steps as above. In cases of deletion of Locations, all products in that location should be deleted using the Product-Location deletion flag optionJust change the report in step 4. For locations, use report /sapapo/delete_locations
To answer your other question on change in location type, I think it is not possible to change once you CIF location master to APO.

  • Re: Implementing Of SAP-APO-SNP

    Dear All,
Is it possible to implement APO-SNP alone along with SAP ECC.
If yes,Can I be advice upon any particular aspect to keep in mind before advicing this furhter to my client.
    Regards,
    Vivek

    Thanks for the information..
    I have one more thing.
I am exploring the SNP because the client is looking to optimise their logistics cost. As I understand that In SNP the transportation lanes feature can cater to this need. My only point here is that I want to use APO for the Deployment side & not for the production side..That means I would be using the system MRP result for carrying out the production execution & will not be using SNP here but for mpving the stocks between the network I am intending to use the SNP Deployment feature.
Please advice me whether this is a right approach from cost implications perspective.

    Vivek

  • SAP APO SNP planned order

    Hi,
I am basically from PP background and just started working in APO SNP. after running SNP optimzer, not able to see the operation details in SNP planned order ( SNP planned order has only receipts, requirements ). could you please help me how to get operation details in SNP planned order.
    Thanks
    Krishna.

    Hi,
    SNP Planned Order:
1 . SNP Planned Orders wil give details about Order start date and finish date .
    2.  During  SNP Planned Order creation a basic scheduling will happen.
    PPDS Planned Order
    1.  PPDS Planned Orders will give details about when the actual production is start and finish.
    2.  During PPDS Planned creation the Machine time details defined in the routing routing or recepie will be take into account.
    3.  Leadtime scheduling will be carried out to calculate the exact production start date and finish date.

  • SAP - APO - SNP

    Hi Gurus,
Can anyone tell me what setting we need to make in APO for SNP. How to set up CIF interface and other related activities.
Am new to the APO and SNP stuff. Your guidance will help me go through this setup
    Arun

During ECC 6.0 Partner Summit in Bangalore recently question was raised about Blueprint document. The answer provided by SAP was to use Solution Manager for Blueprinting. The blueprint should be the definition of Business Blueprint and Configuration in Solution Manager. SAP does not suggest creating a separate blueprint document for implementation any more unlike what was provided through QAdB earlier.
So there is no separate document unless a consulting company creates one for its client.
However standard configuration documents are available as Building Block library under help.sap.com >> SAP Best Practices >> Cross-Industry Packages >> Supply Chain Management >> V1.50 >> Technical Information >> Building Block library.
That should help in determining the configurations required once you have defined the associated business processes for customer requirements.

  • Selection of transport service provider in SAP APO

    Hi
For each transportation lane there will be 4 transport service providers in SAP APO SNP,customer want high transportation cost service provider to be selected for planning.kindly advise on this

    Hi Prakash,
I allready have read the how-to guide. And this works apart.
But this does not work together with the possibility to select several
values in several dropdown boxes as I tried to explain. I, for one,
do not see how to integrate this solution.

  • Use of ECC planningtime fence when planning with APO SNP

I am using SAP ECC for execution, and SAP APO SNP heuristics for planning.
So, for a product planned in APO, the MRP type in ECC is X0.
So, as there is no MRP planning in ECC for such a product, what is the use of the ECC planning time fence? I think it becomes redundant in ECC - yes? In fact, I do not see it in the stock reqs list (MD04).
So, in ECC, all that 'planners' can do is to manually reschedule planned/production orders - yes?
Any shortage alerts will only be visible in APO - yes?
Thanks for any advice on this...

    Hi
Please find below the answers from my side.
    Two questions in my mind...
So, if MRP type = X0 in ECC, the planning time fence is not seen in MD04.
First of all, we should not have any planning time fence in ECC, as it is not adding any value for products with MRP type X0. Yes in MD04  we can not see it.
    2. How can ECC users easily distinguish between planned orders which are in the 'short term' from those which are beyond the SNP production horizon?
I think they have to use APO alerts. I think that should be right approach as APO is leading planning tool.
    Thanks
    Amol

  • Is their any way to restrict user from overriding  the graphs in SAP APO?

    Dear All,
As we know, we can copy the graphs to other users using /n/sapapo/sdp_graph. But is their any way to restrict user from overriding the graph to particular user.
    Scenarios:
In a project we have super user and semi-super user, whenever super user uses above t-code to copy graph to all users (he has included semi-super user id to target user list) but semi-super user does not want to override his graph by super user.
Do we have such function in APO to restrict?
Hope it is clear to understand.
    Regards,
    Pravin Tikar

    Hi Amol,
    thanks,
I have checked SP Note 400434 - Authorizations in APO demand planning Also.
Will check the authorization and will update the same.

  • Distribution Planning within SAP - APO 3.0 or SCM 4.0

    Hi,
Can do any 'Distribution Planning' within SAP SCM V4.0 or V5.0.
We are trying to  improve  'decision-making' associated with selection of a particular warehouse  for shipments coming out of a specific plant. The application should be able to produce a recommended set of shipments by week from each plant. Critical inputs that go into the process will be (a) Procurement Forecast; (b) Production Forecast; (c) Warehouse Space; (d) Production Plan etc
Can this be done utilizing SAP APO 3.0, SCM 4.0 or SCM 5.0?
    Thanks

    Hi Tushar,
APO 3.0, SCM 4.0 nd SCM 5.0 all provide replenishment, distribution and deployement along with basic transportation planning functionalities wihin SNP (Suppluy Network Module) of APO. With SCM 5.0 you get other applications (along with APO) like EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) and better transportation planning features.
Moreover it makes sense to go in for the lastest version of the solution to get the latest set of features. Please check on help.sap.com under my SAP Business Suite >> SCM >> APO >> SNP or http://www.sap.com/solutions/business-suite/scm/featuresfunctions/index.epx for more details.

  • Unable to Open Bex report from SAP APO User Menu

    Hi All,
I am an  SAP APO consultant, and have not miuch expereice in BEx reporting. As APO uses Build in BI for reporting and pulling history from either external BW or R/3.
Now my issue all BEx reports we use are assigned ot my user menu and when I select a report, I would expect report to open but an excel sheet opens and closes and nothing happens. However I am able to open this reports from my desktop menu selecting Business explorer and Analyzer and linking my SAP system. I use Excel 2007 , Is this some compactibilty issue or is there anything I need to do?

    Hi KV,
There's a couple of possible root cause why you dont see properly the Bex Report.
Can you share to me the APO version and the BW software component being used?
In case this is still in the 3.x, 4.x APO, I think, a separate BW add on is needed for you to run your BEx report properly. You can ask your basis team for this separate installation.
Btw, is this report working before, meaning was it pulled successfully already in the past?
Can you try doing this again in a separate workstation, as the BW add on is installed separately per workstation.
Its possible that this is also an auth issue that the user you are using is not capable enough to run BEx.
As of now, I have not encountered any Bex issue that is related with the Excel version, I have tried running Bex in Excel 2007 no issue also. I think it maybe more related with the OS you are using, if its in Vista already what I know is you need to add your excel as a trusted document before you can run bex fro Vista.
Let me think of other possibilities.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to change process chain in SAP APO, in RSCP tcode.

    HI SAP APO Experts
I am from SAP ABAP background, I need to change a 'AND' operator in process chain in RSCP tranaaction in SAP APO.
I dont have any idea how to change process chain.
Could you please help me how to change process chain in SAP APO in RSCP tcode.
    Appreciate your help or comments.
    Sandeep..

    Hi Sandeep,
The t-code RSCP does not exist in SAP APO.  The correct t-code is RSPC.
Step 1:- In RSPC t-code, select the process chain which you need to change.
Step 2:- Double click on it.
Step 3:- It will display the various programmes attached to the process chain.  Go to change mode by clicking on the change indicator (Control + F9)
Step 4:- Select the programme area where you need to do the correction or change.  Double click on it.
Step 5:- It will take you to the programme and its selection contents.  Make the relevant changes.  You can directly carry out the change in se38 also if there is variant kind of changes for that particular programme.
Step 6:- Once the changes are done, save the changes and press F3 button which will take you to the home page of the process chain
Step 7:- Save again so that the change in the programme alongwith the process chain will get saved.
