SAP APO User Profile Parameter Values

Hello All,
I would like to know where can I find parameter values in the User Profile Setting.
I could find many useful "Parameter Ids" but don't know what values needs to go in it. Is there a technical document some where that mentions values that needs to used?
Few examples
/SAPAPO/CDPS_OPTGUI1 (Time Unit of Value Display)
/SAPAPO/SDP_GRAPH_TB (Hide/Display Toolbar Options for Graphic)
Please advise.
Thanks,
Sanju

Hello Sanju,
In most cases these parameters have values X or blank... Per note 1084550 you will need to set the user parameter
for /SAPAPO/SDP_GRAPH_TB to X .

Ade

  • User Profile Parameter ID KVS not work

    Hi,
    I've got some troubles with parameter id KVS. I set it in my user profile,
    parameter = KVS
    value = B2

    when I call report GPCQE53LSADXCC16KZ1R96N5156001, there are two fields with this parameter,

    I need to put the parameter value on one of this two fields, how can I do?
    Could someone help me?
    thank you in advance,

    You can run Incremental Sync from user profile 3-4 times. This will delete the user profile from SharePoint UPA.
    Now, we need to run UPA clean job timer job available in Job Definition inside central administration.
    This is a by design issue which you have raised. But, to get it done on the same day you need to follow above mentioned steps. This would be done in some hour and cannot be achieved in 4-5 minutes. So, your original request is a by design issue and can be
    done i some hours.

  • User Profile Option Values

A profile option can be set at one or more levels, depending on its hierarchy type. Most profile options use the Security hierarchy type, meaning that they can potentially be set at the four levels Site (lowest level), Application, Responsibility, and User (highest level). A higher-level option value overrides a lower-level value.

  • DS Planning Board loads VERY SLOW; hoping a User Profile Parameter will fix

    (*Large, global company - thousands of users, hundreds of APO users).
    I've had my system working fine for a couple of years;   the DS Planning Board used to take about 10 seconds to load.
    Since a couple of months ago, it takes 10 MINUTES to load.
    Nothing was changed or updated, and the APO/SAP experts in my company have no idea what's wrong.
    Nobody else is affected.
    Other boards work as normal.  Just the Planning Board comes up slow.
    Saving data, also takes 10 minutes, regardless of 1 item or 100 to be updated - same length of time.
    It's a very stable duration, at just over 10 minutes.  It's consistent, whether early-morning, late-afternoon, weekend, etc...
    (It's ALMOST as if there's a parameter that says 'wait 10:00, and then proceed with the normal 10-second job of loading or saving the board.')
    Early-November, I switched from a desktop to a laptop - no problems for a week...
    I used the laptop from home OK for a half-day, then it just 'changed' to a 10-minute wait.
    I thought it was laptop-relevant, but it continued when I docked at work.  Now it's constant.
    I've uninstalled/reinstalled the SAP GUI completely.  No change.
    These are my settings relevant to performance (excluding custom download path, default unit of measure, etc...)

    Hi David,
    With your concerns, you can request assistance from your BASIS team for you to trace the abnormalities happening on your system. Best practice also is to clean up/frequent reprocess the blocked data (if any) into the inbound/outbound queues. Good luck man!

  • Unable to Open Bex report from SAP APO User Menu

    Hi All,
    I am an  SAP APO consultant, and have not miuch expereice in BEx reporting. As APO uses Build in BI for reporting and pulling history from either external BW or R/3.
    Now my issue all BEx reports we use are assigned ot my user menu and when I select a report, I would expect report to open but an excel sheet opens and closes and nothing happens. However I am able to open this reports from my desktop menu selecting Business explorer and Analyzer and linking my SAP system. I use Excel 2007 , Is this some compactibilty issue or is there anything I need to do?

    Hi KV,
    There's a couple of possible root cause why you dont see properly the Bex Report.
    Can you share to me the APO version and the BW software component being used?
    In case this is still in the 3.x, 4.x APO, I think, a separate BW add on is needed for you to run your BEx report properly. You can ask your basis team for this separate installation.
    Btw, is this report working before, meaning was it pulled successfully already in the past?
    Can you try doing this again in a separate workstation, as the BW add on is installed separately per workstation.
    Its possible that this is also an auth issue that the user you are using is not capable enough to run BEx.
    As of now, I have not encountered any Bex issue that is related with the Excel version, I have tried running Bex in Excel 2007 no issue also. I think it maybe more related with the OS you are using, if its in Vista already what I know is you need to add your excel as a trusted document before you can run bex fro Vista.
    Let me think of other possibilities.
    Hope this helps.

  • Parameter weirdness: Report not using user selected parameter value

    I am writing my first report and cannot for the life of me figure out how to deal with this issue.
    When I call a report and pass the parameters in, it appears that the user cannot then change the parameter values and run the report again even though the parameters are displayed. When user hits run report, the values revert to what was passed in by original
    call.
    Scenario
    Report B has Parameter Period : Month, Quarter, Year displayed in a drop down list.
    Report A calls Report B and passes it the parameter: Quarter.
    Report B loads. User now changes parameter to Year via the drop down parameter list and hits Run Report.
    Instead of loading the report with user selected value (Year), it reverts back to the parameter it was called with, Quarter.
    I have tried changing the refresh option on the parameter to always, but no joy.
    The only way that seems to work is to put textboxes on the report to change the parameter.
    How can I stop this behaviour, and use the users new selection.
    This should be really straight forward, and its driving me nuts that its not allowing the user to change the parameters
    Any help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks Jon

    Hi Jon,
    Did you use SSRS 2012? Based on my test, the issue is occurred in SSRS 2012 Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS). When we deploy the report to report server, it will disappear.
    In this situation, we can add another duplicate parameter to work around this issue. Please add two parameters in the report, and then hide one of the parameter. We can pass the parameter value to the hide parameter. If we want to select other values, we
    can change the visible parameter values.
    Alternatively, I recommend you that submit this suggestion at
    https://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/. If the suggestion mentioned by customers for many times, the product team may consider to add the feature in the next SQL Server version. Your feedback is valuable for us to improve our products and increase the

  • Profile Parameter to execute Abap Program at user logon.

    Hi Experts
    I've written a small printer selection program to change the users profile parameter.
    Is there another profile parameter that can be given to execute this program automatically
    when the user logs on.....The reason why I'm looking for a profile parameter to do this is, that only
    certain users need to have this happen at logon.
    Kind Regards
    Vic

    Hi Javi,
    I don't think you need a custom process chain for this. You can use delivered Process Chain for logic and hard-code your script name in the package. In that script you can call BADI that has your ABAP program inside.
    You can find guides how to build BADI here:[How to Pass Parameters to Custom Logic BADI using START_BADI|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/20f4252d-98ca-2b10-e689-f85085ae2d12] or here [Creating Custom Script Logic Keyword BADI's - BPC NW|Creating Custom Script Logic Keyword BADI's - BPC NW;.
    Method IF_UJ_CUSTOM_LOGIC~EXECUTE has IT_CV as one of parameters. In your script you probably have to use *XDIM_MEMBERSET to get parameters from DM prompt. IT_CV will have all XDIM members.
    Please let me know if you have any other questions.

  • Setting Profile parameter rdisp/gui_auto_logout value

    Hi All,
    The present value for the profile parameter value rdisp/gui_auto_logout is 1200 sec, now i would like to change the value from 1200 sec to 2400 sec.
    can change the value directly in parameter value field (using  T-code RZ10) or can i create a new parameter value?
    Please any one give me the suggestions how to reset the value for this profile parameter
    Regards,
    Reddy V,

    Hello reddy,
    This rdisp/gui_auto_logout parameter can be changed dynamically too you can change the value via RZ11 if you dont want to restart your server now. but in this case whenever you will restart your server the parameter value will be set back to the original state
    change it via RZ10 but in this case you have to start the server to activate this value
    Select Change in instance profile via RZ10 and select extended maintainance then click on create parameter and enter the parameter name there and press enter, it will show you the current value then insert the new value and save and activate the profile.

    Started Full Sync.
    In Miisclient all agents pass with "success" status

  • Parameter value in RZ11 and table TPFET differs

    Hello!
    In order to check the value of several parameters in a SAP system we have in place a procedure that analyze that value against the table TPFET. In general it works pretty well (as far as you also consider the values defined in the kernel of SAP whenever there is not information in TPFET) but we have found one or two cases where the data look wrong.
    In particular, for 2 SAP systems we found that the value for an specific parameter was fill with some value in TPFET (login/multi_login_users but i guess the parameter is not relevant) but thru RZ11 the value looks empty (more precisely, the standard value, the profile value and the current value were empty). The only thing "strange" in TPFET for this value was that the column PSTATE shows "M" value.
    So the questions are:
    1) Do know why TPFET value differs from RZ11 one?
    2) What does "M" means in TPFET-PSTATE?
    Thanks in advanced,
    Félix

    Hi Felix,
    1) Do know why TPFET value differs from RZ11 one?
           There is a two tables  TPFYPROPTY   and TPFET.
            1. TPFYPROPTY - In this table all standard values ( profile parameter values) will come by default ( RZ11).
            2. TPFET - This table is related to you RZ10 profile parameter values
    2) What does "M" means in TPFET-PSTATE?
                      M means Modified standard values in RZ10 profile parameters

    Hello Anatoly,
    I had exactly the same issue with a SSF library provided by SBKontur (RU). Their library "KonturSSF.dll" could not be loaded by ssfrfc.exe on the frontend, the trace file contained something like:
    =================================================
    === SSF INITIALIZATION:
    ===... SSF initialization file C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP\FrontEnd\SAPgui\ssfrfc.ini found.
    ===...SSF library is C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP\FrontEnd\SAPgui\KonturSSF.dll .
    ===...SSF trace level is 5 .
    ===...SSF hash algorithm is SHA1 .
    ===...SSF symmetric encryption algorithm is DES-CBC .
    ===...completed.
    =================================================
    =================================================
    === LOAD SSF FUNCTIONS:
    ===...could not load SSF library C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP\FrontEnd\SAPgui\KonturSSF.dll .
    After some investigation I found out by calling the ssfrfc.exe directly in a Windows command box with option -D, that the library had dependencies to Microsoft's C runtime libraries MSVCP120.DLL and MSVCR120.DLL.
    Unfortunately, this is not logged into the SSF RFC Trace File dev_ssfa*, but only shown as error message in a popup window if you execute ssfrfc.exe directly as mentioned before.
    So you should try this in order to find out if there are dependencies with your special library.
    Kind regards

  • Cross Farm: User Profile Custom Properties do not show up in the consumer farm web applications

    I have a two SharePoint 2010 farms, one is the publishing farm and user profile service is running on this farm. I have defined a couple of new custom properties, and after a while these custom properties do not show up at the consumer farm end.
    So, on the publishing farm, I can udpate the user profiles with values in these custom properties. However, neither the custom properties nor the values got synchronized to the consumer farm. What puzzled me further is that some of the existing custom properties
    exist on the consumer farm, but not the new custom properties I recently added.
    1. I have made sure the application pool accounts on both the farms being added to the administrators with full control permission in UPS on the publishing farm.
    2. The User Profile Service proxy (connected to the publishing farm UPS application)  is associated with all the web applications on the consumer farm.
    3. When values in the user profiles on the publishing farm changed, these changes do not get replicated to the consuming farm user profiles. This symptom occurs on both custom and OOB user profile properties.
    However, I cannot find any other related information on the web, nor from the ULS logs.

    Hi,
    As I understand, it did not display the new custom properties you defined in the publishing farm at the consumer farm end.
    1. Check if the topology Discovery Service Application runs well in consuming farm. In the Central Administration, it is the Application Discovery and load Balancer Service Application, check if it starts.
    In the IIS, it is the topology, check if it starts.
    2. Check the permissions have been established if you have established consumer farm permissions on Provider Farm before you publish the service application.
        1. Go to Central Administration and going to “Manage Service Applications”.
        2. Click on “Application Discovery and Load Balancer Service Application” and click “Permissions” from the ribbon.
    Your farm GUID should be listed with full permissions.

  • Sub report linking definition based on result, not on parameter value

    Dear all,
    I have created a report with CR 2008 SP6. The parameters from the referring BI query are period and customer. After the user enter parameter values, the report provides then Customer and product information.
    I have add a sub report with additional information for product. I can transfer the parameter value (user input) for Customer to the sub report, but not for product, due to the fact that in the main report Product is not selected as parameter, but is a result set after the report is executed.
    Is there a way to define in the Sub report linking exactly these result values of Product as new parameter for the sub report.
    In the sub report linking definition I only see the possibility of defining the parameter as linking object, but not the report result set. See also the screenshot.
    Any idea would be great. Best regards,
    Stefanos from Munich/Germany

    Hi Stefanos,
    Where is the Subreport placed on the report?
    Do you have a prompt in the Subreport for 'product'?
    If yes, then here's open the 'Change Subreport Links' window > Move the Product field to the Pane on the right > From the drop down at the bottom left that says 'Subreport parameter field to use', choose the Product prompt.
    If you don't have a prompt for product in the Subreport, then just move the Product field to the Pane on the right > From the drop down at the bottom right that says 'Select data in Subreport based on field', choose the Product field from the drop-down.

  • How fill r/3 transaction field with current property value of user profile?

    Hi Experts!! I
    have a transaction iview ("sap_transaction_iview") currently pointing to a R/3 transaction. I want to use the "application parameters" iview field to pass a variable value to the R/3 transaction. We need to pass R/3 userID that we store in property department of portal user profile. Thus, we need to pass dinamically a value as part of name/value pair in application parameter.
    How can do achive that?

    Here's a simple perl script that should help you get what it is you're looking for - you can add all the parameters you want to search for, I just took a few of them:
    #!/usr/bin/perl -w
    use strict;
    use sapnwrfc;
    SAPNW::Rfc->load_config;
    my $rfc = SAPNW::Rfc->rfc_connect;
    my @parms = (   "login/min_password_lng",
              "login/password_expiration_time",
              "login/fails_to_session_end",
              "login/fails_to_user_lock" );
    for my $x (0 .. $#parms) {
         my $rcc = $rfc->function_lookup("SXPG_PROFILE_PARAMETER_GET");
         my $slr = $rcc->create_function_call;
         $slr->PARAMETER_NAME($parms[$x]);
         $slr->invoke;
         print "Value for $parms[$x] is: ".$slr->PARAMETER_VALUE."\n";
    $rfc->disconnect();
    And running it, you'll get:
    [dhull@397 scripts]$ ./read-profile.pl
    Value for login/min_password_lng is: 7
    Value for login/password_expiration_time is: 90
    Value for login/fails_to_session_end is: 3
    Value for login/fails_to_user_lock is: 6
