SAP Authentication problem when loggin into CMC

Hi,
I've recently started getting the following error when using SAP authentication to log-in to Designer or CMC:
Account information not recognized: All of your system's 0 Concurrent Access Licenses are in use at this time or your system's license key has expired. Try again later or contact your administrator to obtain additional licenses. (FWB 00014)
This is a pilot system so had intially entered trial licence keys, but some time back had changed these to the permanent equivalent in CMC. All was working but now get this error.
When it first appeared I noticed that the entry in registry editor did not match permanent licence key so changed this there and also in CMC - Authentication have changed licence type from concurrent to named users per our licence agreement.
This has not resolved the problem and struggling to find any other recommended solutions, any help greatly appreciated.
I'm running BOE XI 3.1 at SP3 with SAP integration kit and crystal 2008.

Thanks Seb,
All a bit odd, initially deleted licence key and replaced with a trial NUL licence, and got the same errors. Then tried with trial CPU which worked.
Also didn't make any changes to the CMC Authentication (still named licences) when inputting the CPU licence key but this seemed to have any effect.
Have you seen this behaviour before?

Problem when loggin in abroad

Hello
I need to be able to access my account online both from the US and abroad (Italy mainly).
Currently when I try to access my account online abroad I keep getting an error message after I input my userid. I am never able to reach the page that asks for my password as, after I neter my userid, a page opens up saying "the information you entered does not match our records". On the contrary, I am able to log in without any problem from the US doing the exact same process.
When abroad, I tried using different browsers on the same laptops, and also different computers. I still got the same error notification.
Can you provide some clarifications? what am I supposed to do to log in abroad?

My problem is loggin into my Verizon account via computer/laptop when I am abroad. In the Us I can log into my device both from a computer and from a mobile device.
The account is set up as “account owner”. I have tried several browser when abroad but I am still not able to login. When I am in the USA I don t have any problem with loggin into my accountI am also able to log into my profile when in the US.
Can you please help me out?

SAP Authentication is not opening in CMC

Hi Experts,
My scenario is WIN 2003 64 Bit Server.
                          BO EDGE 3.1 with DI
                          SAP IK ( i used SAP JCO files of "sapjco-ntintel-2.1.9.zip")
                          BO EDGE Service Pack 3.
SAP Authentication option is reflecting in CMC,But when i click on SAP it is not responding.I Updated Objects from CCM.
Now not only SAP authentication all other Authentication types are not responding. Can any one give quick response.

we used SAP JCO 2.1.9 32 Bit Version. and redeployed tomcat.but still the issue is there.
what i did is
1) Uninstalled SAP IK Sp3
2) Uninstalled BO EDGE Sp3
3) Uninstalled SAP IK
we dont have SAP JCO 2.1.8 to download.
But still the SAP authentication is visible in CMC.What should i do.do i need to remove any files from installation directory.

When I connect it to my iMac (with up-to-date OS X Yosemite 10.9.5) - it doesn't work.
Specifically - iTunes automatically launches, but then quickly shows a dialog window that says, "iTunes could not connect to the iPhone. This device is no longer connected."
Meanwhile - on my iPhone - in the upper right-hand corner (where the battery life is displayed) - you can see the "plugged in" icon (lightening bolt) rapidly blinking on and off.
In other words - it seems like, when it's plugged in - it's rapidly connecting and disconnecting (several times per second).
If I click "OK" on that dialog window on iTunes - it instantly pops back up, and continues to do so as long as I keep the iPhone plugged in.
I have tried all and stile did not resolve my problem. I tried to restart both devices, try different cable (I have original cable). Both devices are new and software's are update it on latest versions.

Need SAP Authentication option when using the Open document URL methos

I had published a report into the BO Server. I can able to Login to the CMC & Info view through SAP Authentication. But, when I Try to Open the Report through the Open document or viewrpt URL, I am not getting the SAP option in the Authentication Drop down box. Kindly give me the solution to login through the SAP Authentication In the URL Method. Thanks for your support in advance.

the option has been hidden by default.
Navigate to <BO_INSTALL_DIR>Tomcat55/webapps/openDocument/WEB-INF
Open the web.xml file and search for "authentication.visible". Set the parameter from "false" to "true".
Restart your Tomcat and you should be fine.

SAP Authentication doesn't come on CMC and Infoview page

Hello Guru,
I am new to BOE installation. I have installed BOEnterprise 3.1, FP 3.5 & SAP IK 3.1, FP 3.5. I am not getting Authentication as "SAP" on CMC and Infoview.
I don't have PartnerPlatformService in my installation directory as well as the drive where i installed BO Enterprise.
1. C:\Program Files (x86)\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\warfiles\WebApps
2. C:\Program Files (x86)\Business Objects\Tomcat55\webapps
I am not able to find war files and PartnerPlatformService on the above two paths. Is it the main reason behind the SAP Authentication ? What changes do i have do to to get SAP as Authentication ? If i don't have PartnerPlatformService anywhere then from where do i find it and how to deploy it ?

Thanks!!! I checked SAP JCO file deployment before and it is available on server.
I also read the document prepared by you for installation of SAP IK. I followed all the steps but still not getting SAP as Authentication.
What i see as difference is "I don't have PartnerPlatformService" in my BO Enterprise installation directory and that is why it is not seen on the C drive where i installed Business Objects. I have other customers where i have installed BO Edge series and i can see SAP as Authentication and there i could also find PartnerPlatformService in Installation Directory as well as C drive.
If i don't have "PartnerPlatformService" in my BO Enterprise directory then how should i get it ?

Resume from suspend problem when logged into gnome

The computer is a Dell Inspiron 1525.
Suspend and resume work perfectly when at gdm login screen or on virtual terminal If logged into gnome, calling pm-suspend correctly suspends and resumes.
The problem occurs when the lid is closed. The computer properly suspends to ram, but when the lid is opened I just get a black screen and I have to switch to a virtual terminal and restart gdm.
I have tried adding the resume HOOK and removing the autodetect HOOK as described on the pm-utils wiki page. I've also tried modifying the scripts in /etc/acpi but it seems like they are ignored when logged into gnome.
Until updating earlier this week, everything worked fine.
Any suggestions? Please let me know if I can supply any more information to help diagnose this.

I solved my problem by using a fresh user directory. I guessed the problem came for a screwed configuration somewhere, I coudln't isolate it.
You're right, thanks for the hint. Suspending with a new user/userdirectory worked.
I'm not sure I want to do that though, since this is my girlfriends laptop and deleting her entire gnome configs is not something that sounds smart to me

Click wheel problems when plugged into dock connector

I just got my 80gb yesterday. I'm having problems with the click wheel. I have an adapter that plugs into my car stereo through the dock connector and also a Bose docking station. With my old 4th Gen iPod, I could use the click wheel to scroll through the menus while it was plugged in.
With my new 80gb classic, it has trouble scrolling when plugged into the dock connector. Is anyone else having this problem?

Similar thing is happening with mine, except the other day my boyfriend dropped it into a cup of beer... it worked fine right away but then when I tried to use it again a few hours later it wouldn't turn on. When it's plugged into my speaker dock, it lights up and first just shows a gray screen with an apple but I can reset it and then it works fine, plays music, etc... but when I take it out of the dock the screen freezes up with these horizontal lines on it. I figured it must be battery related too but not sure.
Sorry this is really unhelpful, I just wanted to commiserate and see if anyone comes up with an answer for you...

Problem when typing into Speech Agent...

THis seems to happen A LOT!!! I will click into a field to type my speech and after I'm done typing, I look up, and at some point it stopped typing! I am using a Wacom Bamboo Create and I thought maybe I was touching it by accident and clicking out of the type area, but I have now turned off the touch capabilities and it still does it. I have a LOT of text to input and this is very frustrating! I don't have this happen in any other applications. I can type in Word, Outlook, Chrome and Notepad++ with no problems at all, it only happens in Captivate. Not to mention sometimes when I click "+" to add another text area, it will just put it wherever it sees fit. I can be on slide 14, click "+", and my new text line appears in slide 6! HOORAY!!!! Captivate seems to be quarky as hell! Any ideas?

I know you said you have a touch pad (Wacom Bamboo Create) but are you also on a laptop? If so, perhaps it's possible that as you type sometimes you touch the touch pad between you and the keyboard? I used to have that happen to me all the time until I configured the laptop to disable the touch pad when a mouse was connected.
If that's not the case, I *CAN* think of a workaround. Compose your text in Notepad. Then copy from there and just pasted into Captivate.

Windows 7 802.1x (Wired) Authentication Failure when logging into Lync 2010

My company has implemented 802.1x Wired authentication, we use GPO to specify a
Wired Profile that uses a COMPUTER certificate.
We are finding that when a Windows 7 laptop comes out of sleep or hibernation, the laptop fails 802.1x authentication and does not connect to the network.
This issue only occurs intermittently, but have been proven to occur only when Lync 2010 is open. If we close Lync 2010 the issue does not occur. Lync 2010 installs a self signed USER certificate for authentication.
I am aware that there are some issues around Windows 7 not selecting the correct certificate when responding to authentication requests (KB2710995,
KB2769121) but these always specify that the issue occurs when 802.1x authentication uses USER certificates, not a mix of USER and COMPUTER. We have installed these hotfixes and the
issue still occurs.

From the description, you suspect the DHCP request cause this issue. Would you please send us the packets? Since it seems that you have looked into the traffic and found some clues.
Meanwhile, I found the following hotfix which may related to this issue.

Next Action Plan:
1.Clean Boot
a. Click Start, click Run, type "msconfig" (without the quotation marks) in the Open box, and then click OK.
b. In the Startup tab, click the "Disable All" button.
c. In the Services tab, check the "Hide All Microsoft Services" checkbox, and then click the "Disable All" button.

Clean Boot + binary search
In a Clean Boot, all the 3rd party services and startup programs are disabled. If the server can start normally in Clean Boot, we can be sure that the issue was caused by some 3rd party service or application. And then we can do a "binary search".
You can enable half of all the services in Services tab, and then restart the server to check the result. If the issue reoccurs, it means the culprit is in this list; if not, the culprit is in the other half. And then, we can continue the binary search, until
we find out the root cause. Please let me know if this action plan is OK for you.
2.Collect etl trace on the problematic client.
netsh trace start capture=yes overwrite=yes tracefile=c:\net.etl filemode=circular

SAP shuts down when loggin on with many add-ons if logged on by main screen

We have 3 custom designed add-ons at the site, where 2 of them are set to start automatically and 1 mandatory.
It was all ok with 2 add-ons , however with the 3rd the issues started to happen. Listed below is the issue and the way to replicate.
1.     When logging in through the main screen the add-ons throws errors ( apparently due to not staring up properly such as runtime references lost etc ). The errors are different each time. Ultimately SAP shuts down without letting us do any further action.
2.     However, if I login through the choose company screen ( click the choose company button on the main screen ) then I dont have any issues, all add-ons start that are set to automatic and mandatory.
3.     there are few exceptions :
a.     When the manager password is manager and SAP lets you log on with the blank user id, the main screen log-on is successful with the add-ons starting without issues. ( however if I type user id manager and password manager then still the issue happens )
b.     When the user is NOT a super user, and when logging in through the main screen NO issues happen.
4.     Of course I dont have any problems with add-ons set to manual, and when started manually, but some add-ons are necessary to be automatic and some need to be mandatory.
I have tried to delay the add-on connection to the UI with one add-on, however that has no effect.
my client is concerned with having to logon through the choose company screen.
any help, workarounds are appreciated.

Unfortunately I didn't encounter the issue so far - and I wouldn't know better workarounds from the top of my head...
I guess you are talking about issues in conjunction with the latest version / patch?
...from pracctical experience I know that there's no issue with version 2004...
...but this issue should anyway be fixed by SAP Support.
Did you report it yet?

Please Check the Data type . i thing u set it as float , make it p with decimals .
if u do not calculate anything only upload or download then better to use Char data type.

[OPENDOC] Crystal report unable connect as SAP authentication

I'm facing problem when accessing Crystal Report via URL that generated by OpenDoc.
for example the URL :

it bring me to log on page before access the report. but in log on page in Authentication drop down box no "SAP", only show "Enterprise", "LDAP", "Windows AD". but my requirement is need log on as SAP authentication.
in my webi and CMC all authentication is show, but only in Crystal report no "SAP" Authentication
Can you help me to show "SAP" Authentication in Log On page?

but [please advice] i still cannot open CR Doc with selection Variable form BEX,it always go to "Parameter Entry" page.
in WebI the selection is work.
example :
i have query in BEX with Variable Date and Province.
