Hi Vivek......
If you found that it is not compatible then with Win7 then you should try with higher version of SAP 8.8 else you have to install with compatible environment.....

  • SAP 2007A PL 35 Client Installs in Foreign Language (Chezh or Danish)

    Hi All,
When we install SAP 2007A client on user machines where language settings are English UK, the client installs in foreign language like Czech or Danish or Greek but English.
Any suggestions will be much appreciated.
    Regards
    Devinder

    Hi Devinder,
There is no known cause for this behavior, however, there is a way to solve this issue.
In the Business One folder, in the GUI folder, you could just
add a ".bak" extension to the Danish and Czech language, then the
    program will automatically take English.
    E.g. like this: SBO_Danish (Denmark).LRF.bak
please make a back up of your client first.
    Hope this will be helpful.
    Kind regards,

  • What databse I have to install for SOA11g installation on Windows platform

    Hi,
I want to install SOA11g on my Windows laptop. I have installed 10g XE (10.2.0.1) database. But when I tried to create the Dehyderation store using RCU tool, the error I got is like, the datasbase version will not support for this installation, however its asking to upgrade it to 10.2.0.4 version. But I didn't find any patch for XE database on windows to upgrade to the required version.
I also tried to install the 11g enterprise database, but I am not able to succede. There I have faced one issue, that using RCU tool I am not able to connect the database as a SYSDBA. So I have dropped this DB and shifted to XE. Now I have stuck with XE version problem.
Is there anybody who installed the SOA11g on the windows platform per personal usage? If so please guide me.

Can you please advice me.... here are the steps I done as of now.

(At the time SCM Installtion its prompt me for SID's for 2 times..

to over come from this issues do we need to Installl LIVECACHE SERVER SERVER ?
    1. if we need to install livecache server.. I need to go for only for MAXDB.
    2. In the MAXDB Instance I have to give the Instance name same as Live cache server SID ?
    3. IF we need to Install livechache server, do we need to use SID same as SCM or different one?
    4. SCM IDES and Live Cache is running one the same machine.
    5. After this LiveCache server.. we need to Install livecache client also install... if the SCM IDES and Livecache running on same BOX and SAME OS.
can you help me on this.

    Hello,
-> As SAP customer you have the option to create the OSS ticket to the component BC-DB-LVC to get SAP support.
    ->
"1. if we need to install livecache server.. I need to go for only for MAXDB."
You need to install the liveCache server of the 7.7 version, as you are installing SCM 2007 with LiveCache, APO.
Please follow the liveCache server installation guide.
"2. In the MAXDB Instance I have to give the Instance name same as Live cache server SID ?"
How many MAXDB/liveCache database instances are you planning to install on the liveCache server?
"3. IF we need to Install livechache server, do we need to use SID same as SCM or different one?"
The liveCache SID for the SCM system need to be unique on the liveCache server, you have only one database instance MAXDB/liveCache with this name, also you checked the restrictions for the names at
http://maxdb.sap.com/doc/7_7/default.htm -> Glossary ->Database Name -> Conventions for Database Names
"4. SCM IDES and Live Cache is running one the same machine."
You could run SCM IDES and Live Cache on the same machine.
"5. After this LiveCache server.. we need to Install livecache client also install... if the SCM IDES and Livecache running on same BOX and SAME OS."
If the liveCache instance and application server are running on the same machine, you don't need to install the liveCache client software.
    Please review the SAP notes::
    822239     FAQ: MaxDB Interfaces
822271     FAQ: SAP MaxDB client software
-> Please update with output of the following commands:
         dbmcli -s inst_enum
         dbmcli -s db_enum
         sdbregview -l
         xinstinfo IE6
-> For SAP liveCache documentation see the SAP note 767598.
         The documentation available at www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/livecache
Thank you and best regards, Natalia Khlopina

  • Assistance needed during Oracle 11G R2 client installations in Windows 2008

    Hi,
I am installing Oracle 11G R2 client in Windows 2008 R2 enterprise server. It has JR6 installed. But whenever I am launching the installer from OUI, I am getting the error 'Java: “Could not find the main class. Program will exit” and the installation is getting terminated. Any inputs/suggestions will be great for me.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
are you able to run java manually? I.e. java --help in the cmd? Are your environment variables (JAVA_HOME) set properly?

  • Oracle9i client installation steps(windows'xp)

    Hi,
i am installing oracle9i client in my Personal computer.when i am installing it is asking service name and hostname. In that what i have to mention and SID name also, please send me some installation steps..environment is windows'xp(40GB Hard disk). In c:\ freespace iss 5 GB. It is enough to install the oralce9i ..

    just curious.
did install Oracle9i database or Oracle9i client?
Oracle9i database is the database server you can connect to,
while Oracle9i client is the client to connect to remote database
if it's only client you should to know the instance name and
the server name where the database reside, ask you DBA maybe?
    regards

  • Client installation on Windows x64

    Hi,
We have a server running Windows 2003 Server x32, with Oracle version 10.2.0.1.0.
We have a terminal server running the 10.1.0.2.0 client, which connects to it perfectly.
We have built a new Windows Terminal server, running Windows x64. We are having some issues getting the client to work. Firstly, we installed from win32_11Gr1_client. The connection worked fine, but when we ran the third party app that we utilise, it continually gave us connection issues, and the third aprty advised we needed the 64 bit edition of the client.
We installed that, but couldn't get a connection at all. The app uses a Windows ODBC connection, and the x64 client only let us create 64 bit ODBC connections that our 32 bit application can't utilise.
At that point, we were asked to install the 32 bit client. Using the 10.2.0.1 x32 client install, the application fails to connect at all, using the same (we copied the file) tnsnames.ora, which I'm guessing comes down to some difference in the ODBC package, as I'm aware the clients are supposed to be cross version compatible. I CAN connect from SQLPLUS, but the app just says "connection failed".
Any of the following bits of advice would assist with our problem:
    - How can we install the x64 client, and create ODBC connections that an x32 app can utilise?
    - Why doesn't the 10.2.0.1 client (same version as the server) appear to want to talk to the server?
The vendor is unfortunately of a position that we are effectively on our own, so any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi
herewith some answer that migth help you.
