  • Data missing while running a crystal report from SAP B1 2007A

    Dear All,
I am facing an issue that is if i run a report from SAP B1 using Crystal reports AddOn, it misses out some data.
Few Initial pages and a last page appears in the report. But when i run the same report using Crystal reports Designer it shows the actual number of pages. I have tested the above discussed issue on the server & workstation machines.

    Dear All,
I would like to explain the above posted problem in detail. I need your generous help, I am facing an issue that is for Crystal Reports which are based on 'Financial Templates' data is missing out. For Example, If i run the report using 'Crystal Reports Designer' it is showing the whole Financial Template based on 5 pages, but if I try to run it from 'SAP Business One'
using 'Crystal Reports AddOn' it is missing out the data e.g. it is showing Page 1 and then Page 4 & 5.
Page No. 2 & 3 is missed out. For your information it was running fine from the past two months now I am
facing issues in running it. Rest of the reports are running fine.
I have tried reinstalling the Crystal Reports Runtime and Crystal Reports AddOn for SAP B1 on
Client machines, but the problem is not resolved yet.

  • Pick List Will Not Print On Add with SAP B1 2007A

There appears to be a bug with printing pick lists on Add with SAP B1 2007A.  I have replicated the problem with PL03, 06 and 08.
Pick lists will print manually, but if you have them setup to print on add (Administration->System Initialization->Print Preferences), the following error in the log will appear:
Error      Default report not found for current report type; set a default report and try again C:\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One\SAP Business One.exe PID=6104 TID=1672
I ran a SQL trace and found the problem.  The default Pick List report is set and set correctly in tables RTYP and RDOC.  The problem is that SAP is looking for a RTYP.CODE value of PKL1 (instead of RLR2).  PKL1 does not exist as a code in either 2005 or 2007.  The Pick List document ID is RLR20001.
To confirm this on my demo database, I updated RTYP and set the CODE of RLR2 to PKL1.  Afterwards, when adding a Pick List, it printed without any errors.  I suppose another temporary fix would be to add a new record to the RTYP tabe with a CODE of PKL1 and the default pick list report document ID.

After many hours of inquiring, searching and digging...  There is an obscur SAP Note that says clearly, NOT SUPPORTED.
Best thing I could do, was to keep a server with the same configuration ready to connect to my SAN and take over from the dead server.
So for anyone interested in this topic.  Save you time, search the SAP Notes for Support and high availability.
    Hope that helps others.

    Hi Meghana,
Are you having problems during installation or during the download of the package?
It happens from time to time that the connection brokes in the middle of the download and you have to relaunch it from the beginning.

  • Extraction from SAP, hidden fields problem

    Hi Expeerts,
I have the following problem / question:
From an SAP Datasource (2lis_11_vaitm) we have some fileds, those are HIDED, and we need them. This is a central SAP, and a lot of BW systems connect to this SAP.
The problem is, that we need a field from that datasource (and other BWs do not need), that has 'HIDDEN' option. The SAP side is afraid of having problem, when they just uncheck that option. (TELF1; KONDA fields we need).
Does anyone know, what is the affects on other BW systems, when we unhide this fields? Of course we load with delta from this source.
If a field is hidden in SBIW-Maintain Datasources, am I right, that the delta does not collect those fields, or it is collected, just not sent to BW systems?
Any good idea, how can we get that fields in other way, because it seems, that the datasource cannot be modifyed, because of the other countries' BWs, connected to teh centra SAP.
I hope i were clear, but if not, please ask me.
    Thanks for Your help.

    Hi,
If a field is hidden in SBIW-Maintain Datasources, am I right, that the delta does not collect those fields, or it is collected, just not sent to BW systems?
--> As hidden fields are already available in extract strucute, unhiding will not create any problem. As far as i know hidden means it will transfer data from extract structure to further.
--> You can try pulling this particular data using generic datasource. OR
--> Enhance datasource by adding required fields and use. OR
    --> Unhide files and use.
Note: Bit careful while transpporting datasource to production as time stamp changes.

  • Number of lines in SAP B1 2007A

    Hi all.
We have a client that use SAP B1 2007A on a SQL server 2005. The sometimes make very big sales quotations which exists of maybe 3000 rows. To my understanding, there is documentation saying there is no limitations on amount of rows it only affects performance. What would be the acceptable performance (measured in time) when adding line number 3001 on a sales quotation?
For our install, we wait maybe 20 seconds for adding the item and then we wait maybe 1 minute when updating the sales quotation. We are running on a machine with 4 processors and 4GB RAM.
Does anyone have some other experiences on this field?
    Best regards, Runar Wigestrand.

    Hi Runar,
A 3000 line quote is too much for B1 to handle. The scenario you mentioned if not the worst in that amount of data. Although it is no limitations on amount of rows, the performance is the LIMIT.
Even if your client upgrade their hardware to double the performance, it will still be painful.
Better if they can change their current business process.  I think the number of line can be trimmed if they set up item correctly.
    Thanks,
    Gordon

  • What kind of mathematical optimization problems exits in SAP? (NP problems)

What kind of mathematical optimization problems exits in SAP?
I don't use SAP and don't have any experience with SAP but I would be interested what complex optimization problems, preferably "NP problems", exits or where a fast solution (semi-solution) to such problems would be beneficial.

I think that no exists standard routines about NP problems in SAP.
OK. But this is not what I asked for.
What kind of mathematical optimization problems exits in SAP? (NP problems)
Hence, if you have such an algorithm, where can it be applied in SAP? Where is it useful?
I would especially be interested in problems where the space is so big that can not be completely tested.

  • Link Payment To Invoice in SAP B1 2007A

    Hi All,
    I have a case like this :
Customer A have deposit $1000 without any sales order.
In SBO we entry that transaction as Incoming Payments from Customer A with Payment On Account $1000.
    Then
After one month, customer A want to buy items from our company $400
we enter that transaction as Sales Order, Delivery Order and AR Invoice to Customer A $400.
If we want to link the Payments $1000 and the AR Invoice $400, so the outstanding deposit is $600.
The Question is : In SAP B1 2007a, how to entry the transaction?.If we entry it as reconciliation, we need to entry adjustment jurnal to balance $1000 and $400.
In SAP B1 2005. there is Link Payments to Invoice Menu, so we can link the payment on account to Invoice. But in SAP B1 2007a I can't found it.
Anybody know how to resolve the case in SAP B1 2007?

    Hi,
The internal reconciliation feature in B1 2007A can't do what Ratna want.
    Try to test this example:
    - Customer transfers 10,000 USD for pay their invoices in the future.
Cashier will use incoming payment --> tick payment on account and input 10,000 USD. then she uses bank transfer account as payment.
    The journal is :
    Cr. A/R account 10,000 USD
Dr. Bank transfer 10, 000 USD
    - Customer purchased a certain item and then an invoice created for the customer. This invoice directly reduces the deposit on the customer A/R account to be 9,000 USD. The journal is a standard invoice journal but the balance due of the customer still exists. It means that there is no system reconciled yet.
    - To reconcile, open reconciliation form under Business partner --> internal reconciliation. Tick the open invoice and using the adjustment, select create journal entry and then select the bank transfer account and then add the journal entry. After that, reconciliation is made. It will make the customer deposit become 10,000 USD again. if both are reconciled (1st incoming payment  and the invoice) by creating a journal entry, it will debit the customer A/R account and credit bank transfer account. The result after reconciled is zero account balance of the customer. Does it means that the customer still have the deposit ? I am sure it won't.
    Rgds,

  • SAP BW upgrade problem in phase lang_select

    Hello everybody,
during our upgrade from SAP BW 3.0B to 3.5 a problem occurred in the phase “lang_select” running PREPARE. Unfortunately we did not find any up-to-date SAP note on this, except  in the note (212481), where the symptom is descried quite well, but the solution does not fit. By the way, the folder-names are already in upper-case (a different note told to do so). So I would be glad if anybody who does have any experience with upgrading from 3.0B could take a look at our problem as described below.
<u>First of all our system information:</u>
    SAP Kernel 640 PL 115
    OS: IBM AIX 5.2.0
    DB: DB2 V8 FP 10

<u>What we did until the message comes up:</u>
    - all by SAP recommended preparations on the OS, the DB and SAP BW 3.0B have been successfully implemented (as described in Component Upgrade Guide SAP BW 3.5 SR1)
    - we copied all the data from CD/DVD into directories on the server
    - we copied the fix FIX_WEBAS640SR1.SAR into “/usr/sap/put/”, which is required by PREPARE later on (SAP note 663240)
    - start of PREPARE on the command-line (the directory “/usr/sap/put/” is now filled with files and subdirectories are created)
    - overwriting R3trans and Tp with the newest versions (as mentioned at the beginning)
    - executing UaServer on the AIX, accessing the tool via web browser from a client
    - in the applet we start PREPARE
    - making entries for PREPARE

Well, we actually do not know what the problem is. It seems to us that the program is not able to identify the language source files. The point is why did the source-paths for the other data work, as we copied the CD/DVD-data into folders? What is different with the language-CD?
Thanks a lot for your help,

I had the same problem but for upgrading SAP SOLUTION MANAGER 3.2 to 4.0 in the PREPARE PHASE "LANG_SELECT"
In the PEVALLAN.<SAPSID> ,I realized that the path for the required DVD I entered was too long !!
    My real path was "C:\SAP_CDS\Upgrade_SOL4\51031485\51031485_1\SAP_CRM_LNG"
and the PEVALLAN FILE in the IV_LANGDIR parameter it was
    ""C:\SAP_CDS\Upgrade_SOL4\51031485\51031485_1\SAP_CR"
I've just shortened the path and it works now.
This surprised me because from the beginning of the PREPARE phase, I had no problems with that kind of thing.

    e_faedt = due_date.
    outt_cond-value = due_date.
    MODIFY outt_cond INDEX sy-tabix.
    ENDFORM.
Now the problem is that,it is int_cond-value is always picking up the first invoice number.
and the net due date is always same for all invoices..?
should I loop in the sap script or in the form..?

    Solved my self.
just placing the perform and endform in 530

  • SAP PI Cache Problem

    Dear all,
I am developing different scenarios with BPMs accessed by SOAP (Web Services) within SAP-PI.
I am having a lot of problems with some of the XSLT split mappings programs. What's happening is that we have developed various mappings and made changes to them and upon activating them it's possible that they are being incorrectly managed by the J2EE server cache e.g. wrong versions being kept in the cache. The consequence of this is that we obtain different results for the same data input.
Executing the services sequentially, with the same input parameters, we obtain results with different data in a random form that coincides with the different versions of the mappings that we have published to the server.
Could there be an error with the way the java cache works?
I am checking different issues regarding the SAP PI Caché manual ("How to Handle Caches in SAP XI 3.0.pdf"), but I cannot find the problem. Doing testing, I am getting in different moments, following errors:
    1.  This error occurs sometimes:
com.sap.aii.af.service.cpa.impl.exception.CPADirectoryCacheException: Failed to check secure connection configuration. Reason: com.sap.aii.af.lib.sld.SLDException: Failed to read SLD instance name. Reason: HTTP response code: 503 (Service Unavailable)

Caused by: com.sap.aii.af.lib.sld.SLDException: Failed to read SLD instance name. Reason: HTTP response code: 503 (Service Unavailable)
I did all checks that came in the manual, but to no avail.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi!
    According to my Knowledge
    1. BPM need to use in final case because it tooks lot of performance issues in RUN time because IN BPM while running your scenario the process is always switch from ABAP stack BPM Process Engine to JAVA Stack for executing the mapping whch you configured in the java stack and again it needs to swtich towards the Process Engine and finally again it needs to swtich towards java stack to ID part through Interface determintation step....
In going all these it takes lot of Load on server and suppose if it  is handling very huge data defnitely you ill face performance issues.
    2. Also I think there is some authentification issue while running it means defalutly even though u configured any adapter on your user id by default all those adapters run by using ADMINs authentifications check whether it was locked or some other problem.
    3. Also check once CACHE thorugh SXI_CACHE and also u can check via RWB-->Cache Monitoring...
