    3)Database tables ( on se11)  are client-dependent or client-independent. ( is sy-mandt will make dependent or independent)

    5)performance tuning for ABAP report.
    points for all answers assured.
    thanks.

    Ihave some notes on transporting sapscript for earlier version of SAP.
    The steps may vary based on your version and Suppport PAckages levels.
    In the future your version and platform detials will help in a quicker response.
    Summary of sapscript EXPORT / IMPORT process.
    Steps to export Layout Sets (sapscript)
    Log on the Source system and client
    This may have to be client 000 and then again in the client in which you do developement.
    Note that sapscript is client dependent
    SE38 and execute program RSTXR3TR
    Tranport number: DS1K9#####
    Mode field: EXPORT
    File system: Server -  radio button
    The dataset name: /usr/sap/trans/data/DS1K9#####.layoutsets
    CHECK the Display dataset contents checkbox
    Execute
    Steps to import Layout Sets (sapscript)
    Log on the target system and client.  This may have to be client 000 and then in the client in which you test, or ultimatly production.
    SE38 and execute program RSTXR3TR
    Tranport number: DS1K9#####
    Mode field: IMPORT
    The dataset name: /usr/sap/trans/data/DS1K9#####.layoutsets
    CHECK the Display dataset contents checkbox
    Execute
    Note: when importing into Production, the export does not need to be performed.
    Therefore only the import protion is required once the sapscript has been exported from Development.

    Hi,
    Once you install the screen painter in your B1 application (as any other addon, you need .ard and installer.exe files) you have a button giving you access to the Screen Painter help file. In there you will learn how to use the ScreenPainter.
    Hope it helps

  • Message on SAP login screen

    Hi all,
    How to add a system message on the SAP logon screen.
    I just want to put display some content and links on screen where we enter client and username and password.
    regards,
    helpful answers are surely rewarded.

    Hi,
    Personalization of your SAP system  logon screen, splash screen etc
    1) Adding text to the SAP logon screen. This is very handy for identifying which SAP system the user is about to log onto, especially non production boxes. You can also warn them here of pending changes, updates or outages. Because it is up while they are typing in their userid and password, they can't claim they missed the system message. SAP icons like the stop sign and warning signs can also be displayed. Details can be found in OSS note #205487. Here are the guts:
    Go to Transaction SE61 and select the document 'General text' (selection via F4 help), and create a text with the name ZLOGIN_SCREEN_INFO in the language defined with profile parameter zcsa/system_language.
    If the text does not exist in the system language, no output is made.
    Note that there is space for 16 lines with 45 fixed-font characters each or for approximately 60 proportional space font characters on the logon screen.
    Title lines (can be recognized by means of format keys starting with a 'U') are highlighted in the display.
    You may also output icons at the beginning of lines by using an icon code (for example, @1D@ for the STOP icon). You can get a list of icon codes from Report RSTXICON. Pay attention to the codes with two '@' symbols displayed by the report. You cannot include text symbols. The 'include indicator' cannot be used for this function. SUBHINT here. These can be used on system messages as well.
    Creating/changing this text requires a changeable system. Therefore, for production systems, SAP recommends maintaining the text in the upstream system and then transporting it. To do this, select a transportable (customer) development class when you create the text and save the active version prior to the export. The transport is done via the transport object R3TR DOCT ZLOGIN_SCREEN_INFO The text can be changed in the original system only (see TADIR entry R3TR DOCT ZLOGIN_SCREEN_INFO). When making a change in a non-original system, a modified text would be generated which cannot be represented sensefully on the initial screen.
    2) Changing the splash screen on the main menu can add some pizzazz to the otherwise boring screen. It can also be changed easily on a regular basis. For production systems a company logo and/or company mission statement might be appropriate. Here are the instructions:
    First, in transaction SMW0 (SAP Web Repository), select "Binary data for WebRFC applications. The logo must be in a .gif format. From this transaction, create a new object, then choose to IMPORT. You must then specify the path to the .gif object you have saved, and select the option to TRANSFER.
    Then, maintain table SSM_CUST via SM30. Change the field START_IMAGE to the name of the object you created in SMW0.
    3) Changing the rippling water on the top right on all is easy but tedious and requires no change to the SAP system. The file name is 'sapalogo.bmp' and resided in the directory "SAPpcsapguithemesdefault". Looking at this file you can see how it works. Use an editor like Paint and replace each of the SAP ripple images with a morphing image of your own. Make sure the new image is the same size as the original. There are 33 images in the original but you don't need that many. One idea for a morphing image would be to take your company logo and have it build its way across the screen and then off again.
    4) Changing the startup movie is even easier. Replace the file 'sapss.avi' with a short avi of your own. This file resides in the same directory as 'sapalogo.bmp
    Pls reward points,
    Regards,
    Ameet

  • Is it possible to open a form created with screen painter more than once?

    I have created a form with the screen painter. In the screen painter the form is assigned a FormUID. Probably because this is done, it is impossible to open the form more than once??
    Thanks,
    Kind regards

    Hi J.
    The answer is yes You just have to give your form a unique id.
    1) Give your form in screen painter a name like BTWO_DYNAMIC_UID (just plain text).
    2) Make sure your <i>FormType</i> and <i>appformnumber</i> have a unique number (i.e. 2000060001). You can do this in the xml source.
    3) By loading your document replace the BTWO_DYNAMIC_UID with an unique id. I have a counter that's a member of my class and increase that number to get a unique id (BTWO_F_1, BTWO_F_2 etc)
    I have added a code sample, SBOApplication is my SAP application object and mFormNumber is a member (integer) of my class.
    <i>Succes d'r mee, en als 't nie lukt hoor ik het wel... ;)</i>
    <b>Code (C#):</b>
    // New xml document
    XmlDocument oXmlDoc = new XmlDocument();
    private Form LoadUniqueForm(string AMyFile)
      // Define your path to
      sPath = @"Forms" + AMyFile;
      // Load the form
      oXmlDoc.Load(sPath);
      // Replace the string with an unique id
      mFormNumber++;
      string sXML = oXmlDoc.InnerXml.Replace("BTWO_DYNAMIC_UID", "BTWO_F_" + mFormNumber.ToString());
      // load the XML file in SAP
      SBOApplication.LoadBatchActions(ref sXML);
      // Return the form
      return SBOApplication.Forms.Item("BTWO_F_" + mFormNumber.ToString());

  • 'Screen Group' in Screen Painter,  & 'Search help Exit'

    Hii All,
    1. What is 'Screen Group' in Screen Painter
    attributes. In which Scenario we will go for it.
      2. What is 'Search help Exit'.
    Please post your messages and guide me in this topic,
    Thanks & Regards,
    John.

    Hi John,
    A Search help exit is something similar to a user exit. Every search help will have an option of attaching a search help exit under the definition tab( when you view the search help from se12).
    For example take a look at the search help VMVA - you will notice a search help exit  SD_F4_SHLP_EXIT_SUBSHLP_CHOOSE attached to it.
    Basically the serah help exit which is nothing but a function module with a predefined interface which gets triggered before a f4 help is displayed. The exit is used to supress or do any other related modification required.
    We have implemented many search help exits and the reason is that we have given a custom interface to our business partners to carry out some transaction on our SAP systems. Though we have given them access to our SAP system we also want to ensure that the business partner does not view any additional data in the system. We have controlled this via many ways like using z objects, using authorizations etc. Still once the user has authorizations to any transaction he or she can do a f4 help on any field and see the data which he should not be able to do. So we have implemented search help exits to supress the drop down only for the business partners. We control this based on the unique login id's we have given to them.
    So in short it is used to modify the behaviour of F4 help, mostly used to supress the drop down.
    It has to be defined in a specific format.
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers

  • Screen painter error: EU_SCRP_WN32 : timeout during allocate / CPIC-CALL

    Dear all
    When i using SE51 to open any screen , the screen painter can't give me the graphical layout editor and shows the following message:
    EU_SCRP_WN32 : timeout during allocate / CPIC-CALL: 'ThSAPCMRCV'
    Message no. 37033
    Anyone knows what is the problem?
    Detail information :
    SAP GUI Version : 710 for window
    Fatch Level : 11
    thanks for your input.

    Dear All... I had same problem for many mounths... My solution has been the "NAME" of my computer. My name contains a special char ( ì ) and the server didn't answer at my "request" to launch the screen painter SAP.
    So try to change your "PC-Name" without special char (ex: "office") and try again to launch the Screen Painter.
    I'm sorry for my bad english and i hope this reply will be usefull for You.
    Paolo

  • Screen painter not working with gui 7.1

    Hi,
    I am using sap gui 7.1 in this im noit able to use screen painter, so im using alphanumeric painter..
    I also tried with 6.4 but again same prob
    So, what could be the problem?

    you probably installed Internet Explorer 7.0...
    so go get the latest SAPGUI patches from ftp://ftp.sap.com/pub/sapgui/win/640/patches/ or ftp://ftp.sap.com/pub/sapgui/win/710/patches/ and try again.
    also, when installing, make sure you install ALL options, not just SAPGUI alone.

  • ABAP Dictionory type FLTP is nt allowed for  screen Painter!!

    Hello All,
    ABAP Dictionary type FLTP is nt allowed for  screen Painter!!  am getting this error message if am giving some input.
    Thanks
    santu
    Edited by: santu4u on Oct 23, 2009 1:48 PM

    Hi
    Instead of FLTP use Quantity or Currency or Packed Decimals type fields for the Screen Elements.
    While you save the data into the database if the database field is of type FLTP the values entered would be automatically converted into FLTP type. We need not take care of this.
    ---?? What do you mean by IDES version --->
    You mean in SE11 or SE16, Wherever it may be you can not use FLTP type on Screen Fields.
    This is Standard SAP Procedure, As mentioned Above you can use Packed Decimals or Currency or Quantity Fields
    Cheers
