SAP B1 suspends when Crystal Report parameter screen appears

Crystal Report Add On is installed to my SAP B1 2007B (patch 10) system.
When I run a CR report, a parameter screen appears for me to enter required parameter values. The system seems suspended to all other B1 users until I submitted the parameter values.
Any idea of why this happens? And how to prevent this?

Is the addon download from SDN or developed by yourself?
If it is developed by yourself, please make sure to open the CR report in another thread.
You got to separate B1 Event Routine and Window Form Event Routine in different Thread.
Otherwise one will be hung.

Sub report parameter prompt appears when running Visual Studio 2008 with Crystal Reports 2008

If I build a simple Crystal Report that contains another simple Crystal Sub Report, the report will print preview fine in Crystal 2008. The problem happens when add this report to a Visual Studio 2008 Web Application Project and I build and debug the application, the Crystal Viewer is prompting the user for the parameter used to link the sub report to the main report. This should never happen as the user is not supposed to see this parameter. If I type in some value for this sub-report parameter prompt, the Crystal Report Viewer gives an error message about not finding the field.
I was having the same problem in Vs2005 with Crystal 10 which is why I upgraded. Business Object's official fix for this problem was published under their KB article number c2018840 and c2019047. These hot fixes ended up causing general exception errors in Visual Studio so I scrapped these solutions.
Support had me install SP0 for Crystal 2008 (which did not fix it).
Any ideas?

Crystal report parameter problem while uploading in sap business one

All
I designed a crystal report using
stored procedure
and
Routemas user defined table
in sql server with three parameter
routname,from date,to date
these parameters are from storedprocedure only but not created in report
i set the parameter routename as dynamic and i assigned the routename field from routemas table
when i run the report in the parameter window it displays the list of routenames
upto this is k but
when i upload this report in sap business one 8.81 PL-05 and
run this report in sap environment First it asks parameters there
it didnt display the list of routnames
when the parameter routname is set as static and assign some routenames manually
then it shows the list in sap environment
Can any suggest the answer

Hi Rhaul,
i don't exactly know why this is a problem, but if your not on latest (881 p10) then upgrade and try again.
Or as a workaround,
try saveing from CR to SAP with the CR add-on. That usualy works better then the import.

Dynamic Parameter only showing 1000 records when Crystal report is run.

I have created a crystal report using ODBC access to a table that has 3000 records. I created a dynamic parameter to pull a list of all the Customer ID's in a customer table and the parameter will only show the 1st 1000 records. In addition I cannot type in the customer ID that I would like. Version of Crystal - Crystal 11.

The following resolution involves editing the registry. Using the Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall the Microsoft Windows operating system. Use the Registry Editor at your own risk. For information on how to edit the registry key, view the 'Changing Keys and Values' online Help topic in the Registry Editor (Regedit.exe). It is strongly recommended that you make a backup copy of the registry files before you edit the registry.
To increase the maximum number of values available in a dynamic parameter list of values, set the registry key: MaxRowsetRecords, to a value greater than 1,000.
Open the Microsoft Registry Editor, and navigate to the path corresponding to the version of Crystal Reports used:

Add the String value: MaxRowsetRecords
Set the value of: MaxRowsetRecords to the maximum number of values to display in the List of Values.
For example, a value of 2000 will return up to 2000 values in the lowest level of a dynamic cascading parameter.
IMPRTANT NOTES:
- The higher the number of values is, the longer it will take the see the dynamic parameter prompt screen. In brief, it impact the performance.
- The value 0 (Unlimited) will not work with BusinessObjects Enterprise XI or Crystal Reports Server XI, you must specify another value.
After making changes to the registry, close and reopen Crystal Reports, or restart the Crystal Reports services for the BusinessObjects platforms.

Crystal report parameter issue in SAP B1 8.8

Hi Experts,
We are facing following issue in Crystal report SAP B1 8.8 version
Can not open crystal report without mentioning optional parameters.
User is forced to mention all parameters
User should allow to open crystal report by mentioning mandetory parameters
if We set for the parameter value of field [Optional Prompt] to 'True' and then preview in SAP Business One, then although the dialogue is displayed, click 'OK' without populating the parameter value, the report is run
but in our case we are passing parameters through Stored Procedure and this option is block in report to do so.
means that option available to make optional true / false is block and we are not able to do anything.
Pls. provide solution

Add in to SAP B1 issue in crystal report

Hi Experts,
Am using sap business one 9.0 PL 11 in my Local system. and using Crystal Reports 2011. I created some Layouts and imported to SAP. Now, I opened again the same from SAP to Edit. When am using Add-ins -- save / save as, that's showing an error. (Attaching the screen shot below). I checked for a solution in forum and all. There are some old discussions and followed some methods like re-installation and all but not helped anything to solve my issue.
So please help me to get out of this issue.

Nagarajan, am not asking about the issue with ADD On..My issue is about ADD IN function in Crystal report which is not working. Every time i need to save as RPT file in system, then i need to import the same to SAP. I can't save directly to SAP.
Its very urgent. please provide me a proper solution.

Error Connecting SAP Business One and Crystal Report

I installed Crystal Report 2008 on my system for creating a report in Crystals.
I clicked on "New Report" and it opened a window called "Database Exert." However, when I look in the Database Expert, I cannot see "SAP Business One" in it. How can I connect SAP Business One 8.8 with Crystal Report?

On your computer, locate the Crystal folder according to the following directory path: C:\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One\Crystal. Then double-click the file: SAP Business One Crystal Report Integration Package.exe. and follow the step of the setup status screen.

Error when editing report parameter

Hi,
I'm using BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1 SP2.5 and have imported a whole load of report designs from Crystal Enterprise 9. One of these reports is now causing me a problem as the users are unable to alter the report parameter as when they press the 'Edit' button during a Schedule request they get an error:- "Error in File 00937 - Inventory Layering: The specified value type is different to the current value type.".
The report design is named '00937 - Inventory Layering' but I can not find any reference to the error in either this site for the SAP site. Can anyone give me a clue as to where to look to resolve this error.
I've tried the report design in InfoView, CMC and in Crystal Reports 2008 and the only place it works is in the designer.
Any help would be appreciated.

Crystal report parameter defalut values in infoview

Hi All,
I am working on crystal reports, and i have created a local variable in the crystal and set a default value. I aslo deploy it to the BO enterprise . When i open the report from the infoview, the default values which was set in crystal is not available.We can set this at the CMC level, but a developer may not have access to CMC other than Instance manager. Do we have any other option for the same to get the default values in infoview. Appreciate your help at the earliest.

Problems with consuming SAP BW WSDL in Crystal Reports 2008

Hello,
I am trying to use the WSDL generated from the SAP BW in Crystal Reports 2008 using the XML and Web Services driver, but when I input the WSDL url Crystal does not interpret the url passed in as a WSDL url and the Services, Port and Method drop downs are blank.
If I manually input the values I get the error below from Crystal
"Logon failed.
Details: Web Service Location is invalid
WSDL Exception (at /wsdl:definitions/wsdl:portType/wsp:Policy): faultCode=INVALID_WSDL:Encountered unexpected element
'Policy'."
I know this is a valid WSDL as I have tested it with Xcelsius 2008 and I am able to get data back in Xcelsius. I found SAP note 1485601 that talks about Crystal Reports not being able to reading a WSDL generated by a SAP system.

Based on the error message from Crystal above I feel that Crystal is unable to read the WSDL URL, has anyone else encountered this issue, if so is there a possible work around.
We are running Crystal Reports 2008 V1 SP3 FP 3 and the SAP Integration Kit is also on the same service pack and patch level.
Any help or insight into the issue will be very helpful.

I am using the "XML and Web Services" connection option in Crystal Reports, and using a HTTP WSDL.Here is a sample of how WSDL url generated by SAP BW.

We have a two structure BW query (one for keyfigures and one as characteristic structure ), I know that this will cause the structure for the characteristics to show up as a single field and each element of the structure will result in a row of data, but we need the individual elements on the structure and we were hoping to get around the MDX driver limitation by using the web service connection.
The data in the Crystal Reports 2008 needs to be in a crosstab layout as shown below, but if we use the Crosstab expert the key figures are stacked one under the other and also we cannot get the labels from the KPI structure to show up on the Crystal Reports.

Crystal report parameter asking for DB login

Hi All,
I have created a crystal report in 2008, in my crystal reprot i have a command which gives me 2 columns and a stored proced which give me 6 columns and then i joined them in link tab.
Now in my report i have created a parameter using one the column from command. The data source for both are same database but diffrent tables.
When i exported the report to enterprise and try to schedle it, for parameter option when i try to edit the parameter it promps me for database logon every time (i.e. every time i edit parameter it promps for Db logon) and i have already provide DB creds in database information page.
BOXI R3.1 with no FP.
please suggest on this.

In CMC, what option did you select on the Database Configuration section of the report properties?
If it is " Prompt users for database credentials", then it'll prompt users for credentials whenever the report is run.
If it is set to " use same credentials as above" (not exact wording), then it don't ask for credentials.
