SAP B1 - Witholding Tax Rounding Difference
Hi all,
Is there a way to turn off rounding difference for Withholding Tax? There isn't any rounding at Withholding Tax Table but the AP Invoice displayed the value with rounding.
Tried the setting at Administration > Setup > financial > Currencies > Set the currency to no rounding. But, the result is still the same.
Actually, I don't prefer a rounding. Is there a way to turn it off? The case that I encountered when the base amount of an AP invoice is 7360 with 3% witholding tax. The Withholding tax amount in Withholding Tax table show 220.80 but when back to AP Invoice document, it was round up to 221.00. I want the amount to reflect what is calculated in Witholding Tax Table as 220.80.
Please advise what could be the solution. Thanks.

India Witholding Tax - rounding rules
We have come across a legal requirement for our India branch where WHT should be rounded
up.
For example:
Even if the witholding tax amount is Indian Rs. 10.01 this would get rounded off (up) to the next rupee to become
Rs. 11.00.
Also this is used for- Tax Deduction at Source scenario.
I am not a fico configurer however I am covering for a colleague. I would greatly appreciate some help with this change., as soon as possible.
I believe its actually a fairly small configuration in the extended witholding tax section of SPRO.
Please can you kindly send me detailed Step by Step instructions on how to configure the above request?
Thanks very much,
Warm Regards
Edited by: Jays77 on Dec 21, 2010 4:48 PMHi,
If you are using the Extended WHT
GO SPRO>Financial Accounting -> FA Global Settings> Withholding Tax> Extended WHT> Calculation -> WHT Type -> Define Withholding Tax Type for Invoice Posting and Define Withholding Tax Type for Payment Posting (For Payment)
There you need to select under Rounding rule tab Rounding w/tax amount Up tab.

Automatic Payment F110 error on Rounding Difference
Dear SAP Experts,
My client ECC6 is using automatic payment F110 to deliver payment documents.
Sometimes, occasionally, the proposal of the automatic payment gets an error which stated in the proposal log as "Rounding Difference too High".
This symptom can be fix if we refresh the witholding tax in the vendor line item in the WHT part. The refresh here is delete the WHT and save and then insert again and save the document.
Anybody faced this issue before? What is the root of the problem. Since this problem come in random, like a bug in the system.
Thanks before..Hello
I don't understand when you say test printout. We have a proposal run and a payment run. And after the payment run is carried out you get the final print out as per the printout variant set in the parameters.
So can you please provide details as to what is exactly required.

Dear All,
I am having a problem in the vendor advance payment. When I try to post the document containing sales tax using the T-Code F-58 in a JVA related company the system gives the following error:
"Rounding Difference Too High".
The system is able to post the documents which do not contain the sales tax. It is also worth noting that the companies without JVA are able to post both kind of documents.
Please provide help regarding this issue.
Regards,
AnoshHi,
Looking at the error, it is JVA triggered.
G4 042 error could occur because of multiple reasons.
Without looking at the system, it would be difficult and would not be right to comment.
The solution as I can see is a 2 step approach,
1. Implement all the latest (release for all) notes handling G4 042. Simulate the test case.
2. If step1 doesnot help, please raise a OSS with SAP. The concerned expert can then comment on the issue
after debugging the program.

How to show the witholding tax name instead of the code in PLD
Hi Guys,
Is it possible to show the witholding tax name instead of the witholding tax code in the summary or end of report in the PLD(AR Invoice)?
Thanks.
EricHi Eric
I have tried to get it directly from the table: Witholding Tax, field: WTaxName; but there's no way to relate that with the A/R Invoice document so it shows me a wrong WT Name.
As this tables is not directly exposed/related to the document the best way is try to create a Formatted Search in order to get the description you want. Please note the WT is get from a table and if you have more than 1 type of WT it may not work in a End of Report as it does not have the capacity as repetitive area to read multiple lines.

I'm not working your Localization and my localization doesn't have the Tax Report.
i think, your Tax Report PLD Fields are HardCoded in PLD.
If you need List of Variables for this report. Try this,
Variables may change between versions & even patches & it is not recommended to use them in pld templates.

Witholding Tax - SRM 7.0 Ext Classic
Hi,
After creating the invoice in SRM, I check the PO History in R3 4.7 I drill down into the invoice/accounting doc and the witholding tax code does not get populated.
I have already done the following.
Completed all general tax configuration in SRM including defining the witholding tax config for the BE system and vendor. The vendor master in R3 is setup with a witholding tax code and the vendor has been replicated to SRM.
If you simply enter an invoice directly in r3 against this vendor then the witholding tax code is picked up in the accounting doc.
It seems that the new witholding tax config in SRM is not doing anything at all.
Thanks,
MattHi Matt
You can also enter and calculate withholding tax. In some countries, this tax is liable at the beginning of the payment flow and is not transferred by the taxable entity to the tax authorities. You define whether withholding tax is active for a country or a supplier in Customizing for Supplier Relationship Management under SRM Server Cross-Application Basic Settings Tax Calculation Activate Withholding Tax .
if you are very confident. create oss message.escalate to SAP.

Dear All,
How do we change the applicable rate of witholding tax to a existing vendor if there is a change in the tax rates at Macro level.
Kindly give solution.
ThanksDear,
be aware that:
SAP provides with the report RFWT0010, just is case the WT type should change.
If I understand well Your question, You're talikng about to change the rate that is defined into the WT codes.
Unfortunately RFWT0010 is not designed to change withholding tax code.
The only thing you can do for open items is to define a new combination
of withholding tax type and withholding tax code in the vendor master
data (instead of a new w/tax code) and run report RFWT0010 afterwards.
However, in open items, it should be possible to change the w/tax code
using transaction FB02 for invoices.
I hope this helps You.

Dear SAP gurus,
In our vendor we input several witholding tax code as the vendor can supply various material and service to our company. During MRKO for consignment settlement for this vendor, the settlement document take all the code and during payment, we find out that we pay it less. Is there any way we can influence during MRKO running so that only some witholding tax code will be selected?
Thanks in advance for all your help.
Best regards,
JohnJohn,
I hope you get an answer to this as we have the same situation.
The other thing we have found is that after the consignment settlement has been done - SAP will not allow us to delete the WH taxes that are incorrect from the invoice. Do you have that same issue?

AbhiHi,
1. 194C - Payment in excess of Rs.30,000/- in a single payment or Rs.75,000 in aggregate in a FY
Not possible to meet entire requirement.
2. 194I - Payment in excess of Rs.1,80,000 p.a.
it is possible
suggest you to use the Accumulation function
Please also maintain the Minimum /Maximum amounts per with holding Tax Type & use the below mentioned path for the same
SPRO>Financial Accounting>Financial Accounting Global Settings>Withholding Tax>Extended Withholding Tax>Calculation>Minimum and Maximum Amounts>Define Min/Max Amounts for Withholding Tax Types
Assign the Maximum base amount as Rs.180000/-
then at the time of calculating Withholding Tax it will calculate tax for anything excees of the above mentioned amount
Please refer the below link for details

Hi SAP Experts,
Need help please.
We are working in upgradation project. My issue is that we have few witholding tax that are been calcualted for Invoice Posting in the old system(4.7). Now when we have moved to global tempalte (ECC 6.0) here the issue is that the same withlding tax is configurated for Payment Posting which actually is correct.
Now all the vendor invoice where withlding tax are been calcualted for Invoice Posting (OLD SYSTEM), the same vendor when they are moved to Global template (new system) again during the time of Payment the witholding tax is been calcualted again.
So twice Withlding Tax is been calcualted for the same Vendor.
Can anyone tell me how to solve this issue.
Regards.Mate,
there are 2 ways to solve it.
1. Make the tax code as "NOT LIABLE" in Vendor master (FK02) while making the payments.
Else,
2. Instruct your user saying that he has to delete the WHT data while posting the payment Open items.
Thanks
