SAP BC variables

Hi,
I am looking in Business Content for two variables with processing method SAP Exit, that populates the current quarter and the current month.
This variables should fit to restrict 0calquart1 and ocalmonth2.
I seem to find only variables with processing type Default Value/User Entry.
Any suggestions, or should i opt for user exit for variables to populate the variables with the right values?

Hi Xibi,
There are a couple of SAP exit variables for 0CLAMONTH2: 0CM2L3M and 0CM2L6M, but I don't think that they will serve your purpose. May be you need to define your own exit variale for this purpose. Would it not do to use the current 0CALMONTH variable?

Prompt List of Values in WebI - SAP BI Variable - SAP BI Query -BI Infoset

Hi,
We have a Multiprovider built on an Infoset. SAP BI Infoset is built using 2 DSOs.
There is a SAP BI Query on top of this Multiprovider.
Multiple-Single Values type Optional Variables are created for some of the Objects of this SAP BI Query.
Universe is created on top of this SAP BI Query, using SAP Integration kit.
WebI is created on top of this Universe.
Prompts are created on some of the Universe Objects, for the WebI report.
We are facing a typical problem.
When a WebI prompt is created on one particular object, (which also has a Multiple Single Value type Optional Variable in SAP BI Query), its List of Values is showing up only first three values in WebI. The SAP BI Variable in BEX Analyzer shows up all the 8 values for the List of Values, for the same object.
The Output WebI report has more values for the object than shown up in the List of Values & this is the problem.
We tried to keep the settings in Info-object, DSO, Infoset, Multiprovider = Values in Master Data (for the List of Values).
Similar objects and similar variables for the same query / webi show all the List of Values.
Any guidance on aspects to be checked would be helpful.

Problem :
If an SAP BI Infoset is used in data modelling, and a restricted key
figure is created in the SAP BI Query; the resultant WebI Object Prompt
for the Info-object, only shows up LOVs which have been used for the
restricted Key Figure. Both the things are not related except for the
fact that some of the values for the same object are used for the
restricted key figure.
Details :
We have a Multiprovider built on an SAP BI Infoset.
SAP BI Infoset is built using 2 DSOs.
There is a SAP BI Query on top of this Multiprovider.
There is a restricted key figure in the sap bi query. KeyFigure "Number
of Records" is restricted for 3 of the relevant Info-object "Meter
Reading Status" values.
Universe is created on top of this SAP BI Query, using SAP Integration
kit. WebI is created on top of this Universe.
Prompt is created on the Universe Object for Meter Reading Status, in
the WebI report.
List of Values is showing up only the three values in WebI (which were
used in the Restricted Key Figure calculation).
SAP BI Variable in BEX Analyzer for the same Info-object Meter Reading
Status shows up all the 8 values for the List of Values.
The Output WebI report has more values for the object than shown up in
the List of Values & this is the problem.
We have kept the settings in Info-object, DSO, Infoset,
Multiprovider, Query = Values in Master Data (for the List of Values).
When we delete the "Restricted Key Figure" from the SAP BI Query, the
refreshed Universe and Webi have a complete set of List of Values
applicable.
Steps for Reconstruction
1. Create Infoset
2. Create SAP BI Query on Infoset
3. Create Restricted Key Figure for Number of Records and few of the
values for a characteristic info-object "X".
4. Create BO Universe on SAP BI Query
5. Create Webi on BO Universe
6. Create a Prompt on the characteristic info-object "X".
7. Check List of Values for the characteristic info-object "X" in SAP
BI Query and WebI.
8. LOVs in WebI are equal to the values used for restriction in the
restricted key figure.
9. Delete the restricted key figure from SAP BI Query.
10. Refresh Universe
11. Webi prompt shows all the values for the prompt on "X".

Current Workday SAP EXIT variable not aligned with correct work days

Hello,
I am trying to use the Current Workday variable within a report so that the data will only be refreshed when the calendar day is Monday - Friday. Users look at this report every day, but when they get the report on Monday we would like for the date to be restricted to the previous Friday, and then switch back to Monday's date when they view the report on Tuesday. In order to do this we have placed the Current Workday variable from the Calendar Date characteristic with an offset of negative 1, but it is showing Sunday's date when they look at the report on Monday.
My questions are:
-Does this variable use the factory calendar that can define the work days?
-If so, which Factory calendar does it use? I have gone to the Tcode SCAL but I can see there are many different factory calendars and I have no idea which calendar this variable pertains to. I have also transferred the global settings for the factory calendar from the source system, and I see no change within the variable.
-How can I see the program name behind this SAP Exit variable? My thinking is that I could at least look at the code to see if perhaps I can find out the factory calendar ID the variable refers to from there.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated! Until this is fixed I have to manually adjust this report every Monday and Tuesday morning!! Not ideal.

I am not sure whether this can be done by an SAP Exit variable.
But you may try this using a Customer exit variable by using the Function module DATE_COMPUTE_DAY.
The function module "DATE_COMPUTE_DAY" will return the day by 1 to 7 when you input date.
Monday : System will return value = 1
Tuesday : System will return value = 2
Wednesday : System will return value = 3
Thursday : System will return value = 4
Friday : System will return value = 5
Saturday : System will return value = 6
Sunday : System will return value = 7
So input sy-datum to this FM and find the number of day. If it is Monday, the number will be 1.
If output is 1, then offset date by -3 to that of Friday, else offset by -1 to previous day.

Used of Sap text variable with replacement path in Bo designer

Dear experts,
I created a univers based on a SAp BW query. In this query I used a text variable in order to get dynamic header columns.
The text variable is done by using "replacement path" that is the text is derived automatically from the user input triggered by a sap bw variable.
example :
the query contains a restricted key figure which shows net values for a selected year based on variable PYEAR.
The name of this restricted keyfigure is &ZYEAR& where ZYEAR is the text variable with replacement path from the variable PYEAR.
When generated the univers based on this query I get component &YEAR&.
When I use this unvers in WebI my result containts header with &YEAR& althougth I selected for example the year 2006.
According to several how to and white papers on SDN , it seems that text variables with replacement path are supported. So I am disapointed by this result.
Can you give me advise to get a rigth result ?

Hi Rishit,
I am trying to achieve the same as you, but it seems like text variables in restricted key figures do not work. I am using BO XI3.1 SP3 and SAP BW 7.01 SP6.
A work-around for me has been to use the "user response" function in webi to create a webi variable that holds the dynamic text title. If the user inputs Jan 2010, I change the input to a date using the "user response" and "ToDate" functions in the webi variable editor. After changing the input to a date I use the RelativeDate to extract 1 month (e.g. 25 days) from the user input. Then I have both Jan 2010 and Dec 2010 as webi variables to use as headers for my restricted key figures.
The formulas can easily become a little long, but by tweaking the user response string, you should be able to get dynamic headings by using webi functionality. But be aware that you need one webi variable for each dynamic heading if you use this method.

Hello haritha,
SAP Exit and Customer Exit variables are created for Characteristics and not for individual InfoProviders.
So whenever the characteristic is used in the InfoProvider, by selection the appropriate variable the exit can be called.
So the same Exit can be in one or more InfoProviders.

Variable required for 0DOC_DATE, same as the SAP exit variable 0P_KEYDT

Hi Gurus,
I am currently trying to create a query based upon the InfoProvider - FIAP: Line Item (0FIAP_C03).
For the Characteristic Net Due Date (0NETDUEDATE) there is a SAP exit variable called Key Due Date (0P_KEYDT).
I need to replicate this variable for 0DOC_DATE, which is what I need to use in this query.
I do not have any knowledge of ABAP therefore could you please advise;
1) Whether this variable can be replicated for 0DOC_DATE so that it defaults to system date - 1 day
2) What steps I need to take to create this variable
3) What is the exact ABAP code that I will need to do this.
If there is a variable that already exists for 0DOC_DATE that acts in the same way as 0P_KEYDT then please let me know.

You need developer key to do that.

U201CDisplay not allowedu201D for SAP Exit variables

Hi All
I collected some SAP Exit variables under a transport request and moved them to the BI DEV system from sand box systemu2026u2026u2026 when we are trying to use these objects in BIDEV in the query designer the variables are displaying as u201CDISPLAY NOT ALLOWEDu201D for all queries where ever these variables are used and we are not able to use them for drag and drop in the query designer
I searched forum and find one similar thread but no answer

SAP Exit Variables changes using FM RREX_VARIABLE_EXIT

Hi BW Group:
I am trying to made some modifications on Dates fields and for that I created variables as SAP Exit.
In the code of the standard FM RREX_VARIABLE_EXIT appear a part to include the code for the new variables as RSVAREXIT_XXX_YYY.
Does any one in the group use a SAP Exit variable before? Do you need to code in this FM?

Subject: Where are SAP Exit Variables and how to use them in Bex Query

I have seen references to variables: 0cyear (Current Year), 0CALYEAR (current year), oCALMONTH (Current month/year).
Under 0CALMONTH characteristic or 0CALYEAR I do not see any of the variables, so how does
one use these variable in the query. For example I want to create a restricted key figure: Duration restricted by Current calendar year (e.g. 2009 if I am in 2009, 2010 if I am in 2010..).

but in development envrionment I do see some.
Why will it not show me these variables in production? Is it because:
1. Some special premssion is required to view this type of variable
or
2. THese varaiables were not installed from Business Content
It is hard for me to beleive, it is permission issue.

I think you should first implement the user-exit via the transaction SMOD/CMOD and the SAP-Enhancement RSR00001 User-Exit ( BW Reporting )

Change SAP standard variables

Hi Experts,
I have a scenario where we have done Broadcasting settings for some queries so that they run on weekly basis. This has been automated to some extent. But, these queries use variables which are mandatory manual input type and are standard SAP variables. For this, we need to change the values everyweek.
Instead of changing manually, can we change these variables as Mandatory customer exit default value variables so that we can write code for this and then can completely make the broadcasting automated.
The variables I am asking whether we could change are SAP Standard variables: 0P_FYEAR (fical year), 0P_FPER (posting period).
Please suggest.

The problem here is there variables are again used in calculating some other variable values either single value or intervals. Also there are many queries which use these variable I am discussing about. So, in this case it will be really hectic to change all these queries. Even though if we change these variable properties, I think as these are mandatory customer exit default value variables, there wont be any effect. If at all any exists can you please let me know what type?
What do you suggest?

Abap code for sap exit variables?

i) Where can I find the abap code for SAP exit variables
OP_KEYDT used for the net due date
OP_KEYD2 used for the posting date
OP_KEYD3 used for the clearing date, which are used in FI AR aging report(0FIAR_C03).
Based on the Net Due Date, which is key date(0NETDUEDATE), entered by the user at runtime, the posting date and celaring date are populated.
II) The problem is we want to simulate a similar scenario, but with key date, which user enters is based on the custom Net Due Date(ZNETDUEDATE).And this date is populated to posting date and clearing date variables.
How do we acheive that.

How to see the ABAP Code behind SAP Exit Variables.

Hi Everyone.
I was wondering if anyone could help me with the steps to see the ABAP Code behind a SAP Exit Variable.
Sometime back I remember of going to Transaction SE37 - Function Module and give the Variable name,
Eg: 0F_ADAY, Hit F4 or something like that and was able to see the ABAP Code/Function Module/Exit written for that Variable.same
But today I tried to do the same thing to see the code for Variable 0P_FVAEX but I was NOT able to see it.
I think I am missing something.
Can someone help me recollect what I am missing.

I want to view the data of standard SAP Exit variables. For example, for displaying the current date, SAP has provided some variables to use in the report. Can you please guide me where to get all the variables and how to see the output of these variables.

Hi,
1) In Business Content all the variable will available.
2) If you will proper standard variable in your report, there is no need to check still you need to check then use RSRT tcode, give the report name and execute with EXECUTE+DEBUG option.
3) for example current calender day data need in report then standard exit variable to you character sticks or depend upon same logic directly use in your key figure, in this case for that key figure value always current day date.
4) it may helps you and elaborate your idea and explore your issue for further discussion.
